Was out and about here today and notice the new sign..........
The whole area around here will be out of bounds for the public from Monday 22 Nov 2010, as the construction for the new suburbs heats up. (Apart from anyone using the bi-centennial trail that runs through the middle - which seems strange. Are people who head along this trail able to fend off bulldozers and large trucks?????)
Anyway, it's time for this cache (and others I have in the area) to be put to bed. The area will become too dangerous for cachers to be wandering around.
However this one will return in (in the same form) in the not to distance future. Thanks to all who found this version, and stayed tune for the next installment.

Well the access for bike riders and pedestrians/joggers was short lived.........
The GZ itself was ok, but the area directly in front is now all a construction site.
Have taken the cache off line and hopefully will be able to re-locate it somewhere nearby soon.
Standby.............

In the area today to check on the construction going on. All is fine and the cache area is still open to bike rider and pedestrians.
I have updated the cache listing with a 'Cache Location Note' at the beginning of the listing. Please read if in doubt.

Another in the series of "How-to-make-caching-way-more-difficult-than-it-really-is" by BatGirlandCo:
Elvis has been staying with Granddad whilst I have been out of town and might I add Granddad has obviously been VERY liberal with the Good-O as Elvis is now considerably larger than when I left him! So home yesterday means I must, must, must get this dog outside and running. So our day began with some Bridge Bantering and Silver Clouds which were all very easy and a good warm up. Upon approach to THIS cache however I took a bit of a wrong turn having not looked at my maps correctly before leaving. When my GPS gave it's obvious turning off the path I was still therefore 260m away - hmmmm....I think I'm on the wrong road. Now SENSIBLE cachers could of course have turned around, gone back up the path and taken the correct route so there was less bush-bashing through Blackberries....but NOOOO.... Not me! Off I go through the Blackberries - they are reasonably sparse and easy to navigate through.....IF you aren't on a bike with a dog!!!! Oh....did I mention I wasn't in long pants? Hmmmm......well.....blood sacrifices apparently appease the caching-gods....[B)]
A-ha! 230m later I find the path I SHOULD have been on all along. At this point I decide to just leave the bike by the side of the path and continue on foot. MUCH easier and GZ found shortly thereafter. Now I think that an SDL cache of this type should be very easy to spot....and everyone else probably thinks so too. But I think I had been blinded by the Blackberries of something because I did NOT see it despite much searching....after 10minutes I was actually starting to panic a bit about the bike because it wasn't locked....just sitting by the path. I was just thinking that I might well have to call this a DNF when I luckily spied something that didn't quite fit - even though I am quite sure I looked there twice already.
Container found it was then a matter of finding the log.....you might have thought 'last one' given the rest of my log but it wasn't.....third last.....by-the-way....I really loved that bit. [^]

Dropped in today to check on the cache and the location.
The cache is all good, and the original log is still there, you just need to find it and sign it to claim the find. A few extra items have been added to the cache as well.
The location is fine as well. Some trees have been felled, but you can still easily walk to GZ without any issues.

Second find on the three cache loop, we had a chuckle at the contents. I wonder what happened to the original logbook (we did search the contents) as there are only three sheets of notepaper in there?
Took/left nothing, TFTC!

Found with the usual suspects.
This cache could only be in one spot - I like the easy ones. Took nothing, left pathtag (you might have to search for it!).

Love em or hate em. Being a noob I wasn't sure what to expect, now I know. Thanks for the container lesson.
#4235 Did this cache with Bega-Gang as part of a 2 day trek around Canberra. I must I own one of these type of caches and thoroughly enjoy reading the logs, but I may have been tricked into leaving a false log. A previous finder has left a piece of paper claiming the log is missing. With this in mind we simply signed the paper. So I'm not sure if the log is contained within or not!!!
Thanks
Thanks
Found with lordjimbob55. We had spent the afternoon at the Mountain Bike tracks and thought why not do the local caches on bike also.

Reperio at 1735. Got to GZ with FF, and as soon as we spotted the cache, we said...'oh boy...love these'....opened the cache...and it was...'oh man...hate these'. We both had a good chuckle as we signed the log.

Hate 'em with a passion! This one brought a smile to my face, especially as I know the cache owner's view on these little suckers. TNLN and TFTC.
Loved the contents of this cache. Put a large smile on my face and helped forget about the huge spider web I nearly walked into on the way into this cache! This was found on my second caching work trip to Canberra from Melbourne. Thanks!
Found the cache in the company of Everlasting and Alchemy2. Loved them! Thanks for the hunt and the cache.
Accompanied with alchemy2 and varuna. I must say " Love your cache" so much, we all have a good fun.... SL. Thanks Sol de lune
Wasn't expecting the contents of this cache at all. Must say we love 'em! Took the art travel bug (now has a picture of Telstra Tower contained within courtesy of 13yo geodaughter).
I too was wondering what the name of this cache meant..now we know - nathanr.au, geotoddler and I had a lovely sunny Sunday stroll and this was the first of three caches that we found....

Out for a morning caching run taking in some of the nominees for the 2009 caching awards and surrounding caches prior to today's event. This drew the exact reaction from me that I am hoping to get with my new cache Matryoshka Mistletoe. Log was in the third to last one. Now moving on to Walkies.

Ah nice. First find the cache then find the log. Its always the last one you look in. TFTC
Dropped by to check the cache out..........and dropped in a few more possible log containers.
A relatively easy find and a novel idea for a cache.

First find with my new gps. Just picked up A garmin organ 300. They are running out the old model as there is a replacement model model called a 450 out now.
Even though the 300 is now obsolete, it worked perfectly.
Liked the theme. Maybe the ammo box should be painted with the appropriate logo. he he
Was not able to find the log so I also singed the small scrap of paper. Was the log inside one of the smaller tins?

Oh dear - the log below.... This was a nice one Sol de Lune, although we anticipated what we might find! Found with McPhan on Australia Day, the last before the morning before we headed off to quench our thirst Thanks Sol.
2807. [font=Trebuchet Ms][green]I think I was part of a conversation with you that this idea was touted? Looks like you snared one unwary new cacher anyway. Top effort as Mr W and I tried Xmas present style first - to no avail. Glad it wasn't the other container that BM&S had mentioned.

Nice easy find. There was no logbook, so I signed a small scrap of paper and left that.
A rather eccentric opera singing dude was wandering around for a while. Added a nice ambiance to the experience

another hot day in the capital, I waited till the time where the sun was setting which took the sting out of the heat., geodog was glad of the walk, despite the burrs and spikeys she brought back.
note this is first time I've cached on this day in my 3-4 years of cache, wow.
thanks for the breath of fresh (hot) air..
I was tempted to leave your Chocolate block but it would have melted..

A nice hot day to go out for a walk in the afternoon. No sign of any other mad people walking the tracks in 38C. This cache took me a little longer to find as there were a few trees to look around and under. But cache was found and contents examined with a chuckle. Cheers and thanks for the cache!

Cute cache with a minty fresh aroma. Found this one early this morning just as the sun was up and getting warm already.
Interesting contents and the penny dropped when I checked the bags for the log. Oh.
Anyhow signed off and bumped the GC, though if I knew that TB and I shared a name I would have bumped that as well.

Joint FTF with LTBO. Send your geoteen to rellos for sleepover and this is what they get up to in the middle of the night. And if we asked her to come caching with us, all we would get is attitude! Grabbed the TravelDragon, and left a TB and a GC.
Thanks for the chuckle - oh, and if I needed the hint to find it - like that narrowed it down....lol
