Logs

16-Jul-13
The owner of this cache has moved interstate and the area in which the cache is placed no longer seems to be safe from vandals.

29-Mar-13
Probably destroyed. Plenty of evidence of rough sleeping and rubbish at GZ. No longer a nice spot for a hide.

29-Mar-13
log entries suggest cache may damaged or missing however cache owner is overseas for a few months so is unable to maintain the cache or check it out, will do so when returned to the coast

09-Dec-12
We had dropped off son #2 at the airport and decided we pick up a cache or 2 en route back to our holiday accommodation in Noosaville.
This was the first stop, and after needless bush bashing, StreetWalker found the cache, not quite where the hint indicated. Nice sea breezes on a warm afternoon.
TFTC.

09-Dec-12
#4473. It has not long after midday and the day was hot; was pleased we were mostly in the shade en-route to this cache. Saw #2's plane shortly after it took off, while we were at GZ. Took a while to track down, but we got there in the end. TFTC.

27-Nov-12
Second try and another ex-DNF to cross off the list.
A popular spot, judging by the amout of towels and bedding etc left in the dunes!

Up here to catch up with bunny & her boys & get some family photos done. Passed what looks like a homeless camp on the way in, smells like they might have been there for a while. This one wasn't quite where I expected, but got there in the end. Great view Big Grin. TFTC

28-Aug-12
We had a wonderful day of caching in this vibrant and scenic part of Queensland. We loved the Sunshine Coast when we were here back in 2007 and it is still as lovely especially on a bright sunny day like today. We enjoyed finding this well hidden cache.
Thanks to heylucy.

08-Aug-12
I have put a temporary cache in place with the permission of the owner who is away at present. It is a regular screw top. I have not been in this area before. There were muggles enjoying the walk on the beach but did not see me. TNLNSL TFTC Thanks heylucy Cool

28-May-12
After 2 experienced cachers can't find anything, maybe the CO could do a cache check, please.

28-May-12
Unfortunately, we weren't successful here. After reading the hint and previous logs, I was pretty sure I was in correct spot. After a prolonged and thorough search, and all I'd found was some pieces of broken plastic that looked as though it may once have been a container, I reckon it may have been muggled.
Maybe another day.

24-May-12
Pretty sure we were in right location and scoured the area for some time with no luck discovering even a remote sign we might find the cache.

09-Apr-12
What a beautiful part of the world. The weather was perfect today and many muggles were heading to the beach. We found the track and raced up while no one was looking. Found easily and its hidden out of view. Container is a little hard to cover well, being so large, but tried to camouflage best we could. Thanks for the hunt Big Grin

09-Apr-12
A really beautiful spot; we never knew of this area. Navigated by JZ (kid #3) and found by JZ and EM (kids #3 and #2). TNLN, and thanks heaps for showing us this part of the world. Just when we were winding up, a muggle appeared! I think we were subtle; he looked as surprised as we did!

03-Apr-12
Found it Big Grin

I parked in the nearby carpark and made my way to GZ. Mr Garmin took me right to area Cool
and I began my search, the co-ords were a little out, but a easy find in the end. Wink

The cache was in good condition and nice and dry.

Thanks heylucy

NICE AND EARLY CACHE ON WAY TO WORK LOL

25-Jan-12
The walk to GZ was great in the torrential rain. Frogs in the bush conservation area were going "off". The beach was almost deserted and GZ certainly was as the heavy clouds dumped.

Windy afternoon but still warm and so a few folks around the beach. Had a few goes trying to work it out then finally. STOP. Ignore the clue. Watch the compass and distance. STOP look around and there it is. Funny how some times you have to work out when to trust the GPRS and when not to. Had a hunch it knew better this time and spot on. TFTC

02-Sep-11
Found it with holster and Konie.

TFTC

02-Sep-11
Found really quickly with holster and thehairbear as it was out on the open. As per previous logs the original tree has been broken down and the area looks very well used. The log book has a few entries by muggles so it was nice that they left it there and didn't take it.

We replaced it under a bush near a broken tree on the southern side of GZ. We put a plastic bottle on top of the broken tree so it may or not be there later on.

The cache may need to be moved to a safer spot.

Logged in a few of my travellers for a visit.

First find of the day, and this was a beautiful spot to start. I would have loved to stay longer and actually go for a swim. The tide was in, and the water was so tempting. However, there were more caches to find. TFTC.

Easily found and replaced with a bit more cover. TFTC

27-Dec-10
This was my first cache for a rainy day. I should have gotten this one earlier when I was doing this one's neighbouring cache. Nevermind. I made my way to GZ and.. after a bit of a hunt.. found the well hidden beast. It is in good condition. A very nice area - and a distinct lack of muggles first thing in the morning. TFTC heylucy Smile

24-Dec-10
Superb lookout which without caching would have gone unnoticed.
On a visit from NZ, we left drought and found rain.

It rained and rained and rained
The average fall was well maintained
And when the tracks were simply bogs
It stared raining cats and dogs.

After a drought of half an hour
We had a most refreshing shower
And then most curious thing of all
A gentle rain began to fall.

Next day but one was fairly dry
Save for a deluge from the sky
Which wetted the party to the skin
And then at last the rain set in.

16-Oct-10
Found whilst on my Qld trip for my Girlfriends 30th Birthday, we were at a nearby resort apartment so while they out shopping and we were having a break from Scrapbooking, I snuck away and grabbed myself a few caches.
Great views from this spot, haven't been on the coast for a few years so enjoyed the beautiful weather and lovely secluded spot.
Cache was found easily enough.
Took glass pebbles, left rubbers.
Thank you for bringing me here!

Thanks!

07-Aug-10
[We agree. What a lovely job the council has done around here. We didn't find the hint too helpful as I wouldn't have called it a] tree where GZ is - it's more a shrub and it's not all dead either. [ However, it had been well hidden although a dog or some other animal had removed some of the camo. We re-hid it with something heavier on top so as to discourage a bird from shifting the camo. Thanks for the cache heylucy. It's nice and large and will take those larger trackables. Nice and clean and dry also.
Took: calm book
Left: lanyard]
