not sure why this cache is still live and not been archived or maintained. Sounds like container is long gone from previous logs.
836 Found it but didn't. The cache container was lying on the ground on other side of grassed area with no log or anything with it. Obviously been muggled. Have container at my place and will contact owner and see what he wants to do.
Nice walk in the park but no luck then we found it has not been found since Oct 2014.
This one drove me a little nutty at first, but found what's left of it. Cache was open and nothing inside. Needs Maintenence.
Found it, still no container and hadn't bought a pen so couldn't write in log book!
We found the log book but no container. Don't know if someone has taken it. Had a good look around but couldn't see anything. Will take a container up next time we go to the park.
First for the day, great container. It was open so tried to shut after logging. TFTC
Another little park tucked away I didn't know was here. And, tucked away from prying eyes. Cool container!! - tftc
What a great themed container - it really made it clear that I wasn't looking for a local. This is a great park with plenty of space, it makes me want to get a remote-controlled airplane or helicopter. Nice walks through the bush too. Thanks
Yeah/nah to question. Nice original cache container. Enjoyed this fun find. TFTC
Very clever cache, no log so we found plastic bag laying on ground log gone, so signed and left a wee log book
After alot of seaching we found what only could be the cache container, a very clever hide indeed.
sadly the cache was empty and a plastic bag was found on the ground at the gz.
Thinking the dreaded Hamilton mugglers have been in action.
TFTC and enjoyable search.

This one had me scratching my head until my head found it. Thanks for a great cache. And no, you don't have to go down the bank like i did!
Took a wee while but eventually bumped into it.Put a new log strip in for you & tied it up as best we could.TFTC.
This cache has definitely been muggled and its contents strewn around the area. Container is hanging open and empty. We have done a repair job as best we can and left a few Auckland Mega cards to use as a log in the meantime. The latch is now tied up with nylon but it is not going to last. Needs maintenance. Picked up a plastic sleeve for a Nickel Screw 2007 geocoin but sadly no sign of the coin. Nothing currently listed in inventory but perhaps the coin owner is watching this listing and hoping it turns up. TFTC

Very clever cache, found it no problem, but the latch is still broken, and no sign of a logbook. giving it a favorite for the idea. TFTC
Parked at Te Wananga today, to walk around some local caches, quite a trek, got back to the car just before the rain started. GPS was really confused here, which made it a large area to search, and I couldn't find it
The latch it broken so it doesn't stay closed. Log has been wet but is dry and wrinkly now with some slaters living in it.
Out for a caching day in Hamilton. A little disconcerted to find a two rows of pegs leading up to a tree and large candlestick???? Eventually concluded this was not a cache related set up and soon located the cache with its broken latch. Great concept. Thanks.
Enjoyed finding another part of my hometown I was totally unaware of. The container was really cool as was how it was positioned. Have to admit I jumped a little when I met some little unexpected inhabitants in the container. TFTC
On the hunt for my 1200th cache find today. No strategy or plan... Just driving and picking off caches as I go.
Another spacious park... lots of space to run and play. Walked into ground zone with some ideas about the cache. It seemed fairly obvious that the cache was in or under one of those big Eucalypts. When found, I was not even in the ball park. Not seen a container like this one before. Very clever, and a favourite. TFTC.

Out with Z-masterNZ, trying to achieve our 250 cache geocoin today. Need 12 more.

We were passing by and decided to tick this one off. Nice little park with native trees all over the place. After a bit of search, the not so native tree was located and the awesome looking container! Nicely done kiwi graeme.

Found ourselves in the park with a few caches to do and after finding a puzzle nearby decided to try our luck here. Wasn't too sure what to expect after reading Sonia's log but we had an idea of where to look pretty quickly and found the cool cache hanging about as it should be. Took a while to get into it thanks to the nylon but it meant everything stayed put which was the main thing. Signed the log book then headed off for another. TFTC
Definately not a native tree. Cache found quickly with 3 of us looking. Down from Auckland for the day with snakelion and evilno9. A cool cache container put to good use! Never seen one like this before! Very nicely done. May need some maintenance though as per the previous cachers notes... Cache doesnt close as intended anymore. We used the nylon left by the previous finders to tie the clasp back together to hold the cache closed. TFTC!
Found on our trip home from the snow - with a detour to CANZ Matawatu & Taranaki...
This was the last stretch of our journey. We camped out in New Plymouth, and then cached our way back to Auckland today.
Well, this was about the most interesting cache we found all day, probably due to my adventure at it...
So, it began with us going to the GZ. Didn't spot the cache, but saw a logbook on the ground. Oh no! It's probably been muggled I thought! Looked around for a container, but nothing bar logbook in bag anywhere.
Left my brother at GZ, and I ran back to the car to see what sorts of containers I may have in there. Searched like crazy, and eventually found a small bright green tin, and I stuck that into my pocket. Ok, will need black tape for this. So, I collected up the duck tape from my boot that I'd brought that morning, as my car window had broken, and we'd fixed it with the tape. But I realised I needed some scissors, but I didn't have any with me on this trip. What we'd used on the duck tape before was a knife that I had in my car, as since we were camping, we were using it for cooking and other such things.
That was all I needed so locked up the car, and walked into the park, past all the houses and everything carrying just duck tape and a huge 40cm long butcher knife.
I didn't even realise how dodgy it looked till I realised halfway as I was walking, and so I cracked up laughing... but I had this really funny smirky laugh... that probably didn't help either! I was actually really scared that the locals would be calling the cops, and reporting my number plate, and that some swot team would soon be knocking on my door at home with a search warrant!!
And it really didn't help that when we arrived at the GZ, we actually found a candlestick, with a line of wooden planks and stuff stuck in the ground leading up to it. It seriously looked like some weird witchcraft!!
And after trying to look for a good spot, we then found the cache itself! It just wouldn't close, and was a bit broken, hence why the logbook had fallen out! Right!!
So, we tied up the cache so that it would close, but it does need some maintenance...
Left the cache in its spot, and then we quickly gapped it out of the park, me, my brother, and some duck tape and a butchers knife...
TFTC!!

Found with Sonia26642 on our way back to Auckland with a slight detour.

Took a while, but we had a good laugh when we found it. Log book was sodden so I left a replacement in a plastic bag, and a blue shell.
We were obviously being obvious as the lady from a nearby house asked us if we were geocaching and told us we were in the right area.

Searched around for 20 minutes until being poked in the eye by a branch signaled it was time to give up.
Ha ha - we had a good laugh. Third of this kind I have seen now. Fav point for making us laugh. TB duck dropped off since he wants to be near water.
The catch is no longer catching - have jammed the container so hopefully it doesn't spill it contents again but it needs to be looked at and repaired
Clever container - found one just like it recently. Unfortunately the first thing I found was the log on the ground...I have put everything back and jammed the cache so hopefully it doesn't spill its contents again...but as mentioned the catch is no longer catching.
Very clever, loved the cache - and lovely walking area TFTC

We had real trouble closing it, not sure if we were being stupid. Jury rigged it closed, should hold hopefully, but needs looking at.

Well we weren't expecting a container like that. Well done on the camo job, put a smile on our faces
GREAT find looking all around and then happen to stumble apon it !!! NO thats certanlly not a native. But around that area is a tree all by it self with some beautiful fruit.. What is the fruit on it?? Anybody??
We had attempted this one back in May 2010, but at the time GZ was fenced off.
Easily got to GZ today and spent some time searching before one of us looked in the right direction. Very nicely done. Gets a favourite point. Thanks.

Heehee, very crafty hide! My GPS took a few minutes to settle down, so I spent quite a bit of time scrabbling around a Cherry tree to no avail. But once the GPS settled down I found the cache in the first place I'd looked - can't believe I didn't spot it then lol! TFTC!
Inspired! And a rattll pet rock too: our kids love them! Perfect cache in our book Left penguin badge, took rock. Thanks for the thought behind this one!
A bit of an overcast day, which meant no muggles in the park today. Found after a quick search. Left a pet rock - cat. TFTC
After a bit of scrambling about (even though the instructions said we didn't need to go down the bank), the needle finally settled, we used our eyes and voila! There it was, not what we were expecting at all. Loved it.
TFTC.

I love the cache container. Not quite I was expecting.

Found after a short search while roaming in the area this morning. Very nice hide! Signed log, TFTC.
9.00am. Second visit, both times on wet days. Quick find this time. Another one of "How did I miss it?"
Thank you. David.
