#4148 Just happened to be driving past this location today as we head home from a long weekend at nearby St A. Stopped by the muggle free old classic State School building to find the cache. Although the container is all but completely destroyed, managed to sign the logbook without issue. TFTC tigersden.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
Hi there Cache Owner,
This cache has come to my notice as there is a 'Needs Maintenance' log that that indicates there is some sort of issue with the placement and it needs your attention please.
Check out the Guidelines here: [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable the cache**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

En route to the MEGA from our accommodation in Dunolly, we took the back route through Emu and paused for a cache or two including this one. We found it but alas, it's quite damaged. TFTC tigersden!
Sorry to say the lid is rather smashed and the cache has become waterlogged.
In the area for the St Arnaud Mega event and once again privileged to be able to spend the whole weekend with Mummy Short Legs on a mum's weekend away, our scared annual Caching Adventure without the families in tow.
While a little disappointed to have not spotted any of the namesakes of this town while in the vicinity we were delighted by the historical building. The poor container was in very poor condition though for the cache - replaced it as best we could but will need maintenance. TFTC tigersden

As I near St Arnaud I stopped off here at the old school site.
Thankfully someone has left a new logsheet in a clean bag as the lid has completely deteriorated.
Thanks tigersden

Thanks tigersden for the cache.
Thanks tigersden for the cache.
After a long weekend at St Arnaud it was time to head back home but not before I grabbed a few more caches in the area.
A quick find. As previously reported the lid is broken. I emptied all the water out however the log has been destroyed. I have added a new log with a ziploc bag. TFTC.

After watching our nephew/cousin get his commemorative medal at our local Australia Day event, we (neisha07, boo09 & I) hightailed it to St Arnuad to join the MEGA lead up event. After a great afternoon catching up, followed by several hours at the fantastic local pool, we detoured slightly to grab this one on the way home.

TFTC. We decided to go for a drive today before the heat got too much later in the week. First stop Redbank and then on to Stuart Mill and a small circle back along the highway to collect a few Original Road Puzzles before heading back to Maryborough.
After completing the circuit we return back to Maryborough via Emu for just a couple more caches. Nice to get an old school cache where the building is still standing.

Day 11 of our epic 12 day / 10 night trek to the Parkville Mega in Melbourne.
The constant was my travel companions for the entire trip, - Anymules and S.A. Sewer Rats.
We had set up digs in Bealiba for our three night stay. [8)]
Today our target was to cache our way to St. Arnaud and do the Bush Wander and Out & About series. Off course there would always be a few others whilst passing. [8)]
This was the first of the day on our way towards St. Arnaud. A quick stop and an equally quick find.

Quick find here as I headed across country camping. So much history in these areas. Many thanks for the cache.
Left St Arnaud reasonably early as I needed to finally get home which I had last seen in August. Couldn’t resist stopping for the occasional cache. This plaque where there had once been a school, was my first stop. Glad to see these places acknowledged TFTC tigersden
Made a quick find this morning on our way to the Event in St Arnaud.

An easy find today as we admired the old building. It certainly looks like someone lives here also.
Thanks tigersden for the placement for us and others to enjoy.
Thanks tigersden for the placement for us and others to enjoy.
The house that is nearest to the cache appears to be deserted but there is still a lot of items around it, is it occupied? No one was around to take notice of us so we quickly signed the log and departed quietly. SL TFTC
This is one of the caches we found, among the history lessons and interesting scenery, as we returned to Creswick, after the "9 Months to the Event in Alexandra" lunch in Wedderburn.
Apologies for such delayed and generic logs, we have experienced a severe computer malfunction.
Thanks tigersden for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

A nice quick drive by after a day caching in St.Arnaud. Thanks tigers den.
Great little spot but was a slight bugger because of the 'no service' around it.
But was great to find.

Found this one on our way home from the St Arnaud events on the weekend. This was a nice quick find and one that is familiar to many other tigersden hides we have done over the years. We love the old school sites and seeing what remains (or doesnt remain). TFTC!
I didn't stop while out riding on the Saint n Sinners ride over the weekend. I was too tired. I cam back on the way home. I did notice this lovely old school which was very typical of country schools way back then.

Travelling around Australia with our Cat.
Staying longer in St Arnaud, than we first thought, today we headed back up to Wedderburn to try and add to our existing smilies. Hmm well we tried, but there are soo many caches up here. We fell short of our mission again today, think this is our 4th day caching in town.
What an amazing day in this amazing area. Just love the history and the scenic places geocaching has taken us to in this region.
Heading home today and realised we were within 12kms of this one that we had somehow missed every other day over the last week. [B)] So a short detour and we were rewarded with seeing this in tact school. Fabulous, a fave point for sharing this building with us. We have so enjoyed finding your other caches in this area too.
Thanks for placing your cache to assist with our touring of the area, and feeding our geoaddiction. tigersden

I find it sad that these little country schools are all too fast disappearing . This one could do with some loving tender care! Cache was fairly straight forward, thanks.
last of our finds today. this school makes me think of the kids running around back in the early 1900s. cool spot, tftc
Suscoe's 3rd find of 34 for today.
The weather has improved since yesterday and while there was some cloud, the sun was often shining as we drove the road to Dunolly and beyond.
It is always good to see old school sites remembered.
The house looks a bit sad at the moment.
Thanks to tigersden for placing this cache here.

#1905 - M found without a clue or anything! All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour. Many thanks to Tigersden for establishing and maintaining this cache.
A lovely little school. I hope that the part time inhabitant finishes any renovations quickly, before the building falls down around his/her ears.

On the way to Dunolly today to do a wee bit of caching and shopping in nearby Maryborough. Decided to grab this one. On previous occasions the resident was always at home, this time is was a clear coast. With the Mini Quark asleep in her car seat we managed to grab this beastie. TFTC
Another old school we travelled to as a result of Tigersden. We enjoy finding our way to these out of the way places. Today we are taking a longer route to Mildura to visit the paddleboats and fit some cachig in as well. An easy find SL TFTC

What a lovely day for a push bike ride, so off we went from St.Arnaud to Emu - 25ks one way - 50ks round trip - just to locate one cache. A quiet day with no activity around.

Nice drive by cache. The school was very interesting. We would have loved to take a peek inside if it were not a residence now. Not much traffic going by....just hope the owners were not looking out of their windows. Thanks tigersden.
Found by Mary & David at 1120. Mary's Dad was a school teacher and she moved all around Victoria, so she instantly recognised this kind of building. If these walls could talk! Our thanks once more to tigersden.
Found 11.10am
Picked up this cache on our way home from a trip to St Arnaud. We love driving this type of country road and discovering buildings from the past. Looks like the school is not used for anything now and is slowly deteriating, such a shame.

A slight detour on the way to St Arnauld. The cache is well guarded by some large black spiders so be careful. TFTC.

A very interesing location with an informative historic aspect. Thanks to geoaching, doubt I would have come this way.
With some imagination and mindful of the building's heritage I could see a B&B or a Cafe/Craft shop here?
You wonder of the lives that passed through this school, of the teachers who taught - what life stories could told!

Found at 11.45am. I bet the school was built by the farmers for the farmers kids. Alot of these smaller schools shut down as a reaction to the Faraday School Kidnappings in the early 1970's...This one may have already shut down at this time...I dunno..LW found the cache. We did no swaps. TFTC Cerena and Andrew.
A lovely quick find on our way past. No one in sight anywhere.. not even any cars going past. it was very peaceful. Took nothing, left a few simple swaps.

The first Tigersden cache on my round trip to St Arnaud. Enjoyed the quiet trip from Logan to Emu, on the dirt. Found the school and cache quite quickly, without getting sprung by the neighbours. TNLN Thanks tigersden
This was our last tigersden cache for this trip and what a good one to finish on. After completing a few in this series it was great to see one where both the site and the building still remain. We were amazed at how good the building looked considering how old it is, judging by the newish looking plastic tank there may even be someone living inside. Once at gz the cache was again located quickly and the log book signed.
Thanks tigersden for this cache and for all the others we have enjoyed in the last couple of days

School caches are always of interest to me and I was keen to check this area out on my way to St. Arnaud. No problems locating the cache and the old building reminded me of a fre disused school buildings located around the Shepparton area. I managed to snap a photo before heading off again.

Found by Roma and Max.
Our last find for this weekend and a milestone of a sort for us!
13 FTFs in one caching trip, one of which the owner has told us was the oldest unfound cache in Victoria, having been waiting for a visit since October 2009.
We are happy to report the nearby resident didn't appear to notice our presence as we parked in front of the obvious hiding place and Roma examined the plaque while max signed the log.
Thank you again tigersden for taking us to many interesting places over these past few days of geo searching.
