Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
On the road from Broken Hill to Mildura we were intrigued by the color of the lake, and of course the cache which was in the vicinity.

We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to reverb for the generation of this nice cache Dont Bungee (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Today was the day when we came back through one of our favourite lunch spots en route from Broken Hill to Mildura. Managed the find just before some yabbie seeking muggles appeared. All in good condition and replaced as found. TFTC
Called in to search for this one ... however muggles had set up nearby for the night. Will add it to our next trip!
While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good and gathered up the TB.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found it on a trip to Broken Hill. Beautiful Scenery. Pen didn't work but took a photo to prove we found it.
What a busy stop! Quite a few free campers had set up camp and we very friendly. There were others that, like us, had stopped to stretch their legs. We fitted in as everyone had grey hair lol A quick find. TFTC
Lots of water in the Great Darling Anabranch and the rain is setting in now for today. Lucky to see Anabranch Hall and Bulpunga before heading back to the sealed roads. Quick find in the rain and cache is dry and all good. Tftc

Hopped the ‘black bit’ of the fence for this one with trepidation and memories of this being an electric fence years ago. No worries today. Found the cache in good and surprisingly dry conditions as there had been so much rain in the past few days here. The raised river made a lovely spot for a rest and drink with RamaTim. TNLNTFTC!
Kelligula and I picked up this cache travelling home from Broken Hill. Thank you Kelligula for jumping the fence. TNLN TFTC

we pulled over for lunch here and hopped the fence for a find, accompanied by just a few extended families of flies. Thanks reverb.
Lunchtime with snags cooked in the great outdoors and buzzy friends.
And the great sandy riverbed nearby.

Stopped here to look for this cache. Nice quick easy find. On our way to Broken Hill for a few days holiday. Cache is in good condition. TFTC. SL. left a few more swaps for the kids. Thanks for putting a cache out here. Very dry at the moment, but looks like it gets mighty wet sometimes. Cheers.
By the time I’d driven this far I was hanging out for a break so this was the perfect excuse. A quick find and my name in the log TFTC reverb
Thanks for the cache! Had a nice stop for lunch on the way to Broken Hill so was a good way to our legs

Our first for today. Having left Wentworth early we were able to reach the cache just as we were presented with a great shot of a red dawn. TSLS, signed the log and continued on to Broken Hill. FP for placing the cache and breaking our journey at a nice quiet spot. TFTC reverb. Kutgw

After a very hectic day we managed to escape SA, Ending up in Wentworth way after midnight. This morning on day 6 of our road trip it was re planning time, no caches for hundreds of kilometers either way. So we ended up heading to Broken Hill and Silverton. Great caching day, but again very hot!

Heading around outback NSW collecting caches in as many shires/counties as possible. This one was my find for Wentworth. On the whole it is only one cache per area as I need to keep moving

Time for a little trip in to the outback of New South Wales. A bit of a holiday and if you are on a holiday you cannot drive past a cache without collection some on the way. I had my Geo Chauffer driving me around to collect some cache.
Left Broken Hill today and headed down to Wentworth. Found this one while wondering down the highway. All was good with it, no problems here.
We found the cache, signed the log, replaced it back in its little hiddy hole, then on with our adventure to find the next one. Now we have logged it.
Thanks for placing the cache here guys. LilDonna

Mildura - Broken Hill
With the development of the Corona virus we have decided to return to our home town,
There were road works near the entrance to the rest area. We had to wait for the stop - go sign to get to the rest area.
With the good hint it was a quick search to locate the cache.

We have made an 6 week road trip trough Australia en did some caching just for fun. We could log some and some we couldn’t! But we enjoyed the views and surroundings. Al thanks for placing the caches.
Thank you reverb for placing this cache, a lonely one on the long drive from Broken Hill to Mildura. A neat hide and coordinates were spot on. We had our lunch here and enjoyed this break in peaceful surroundings.
Heading to Wentworth from Broken Hill. Gee its such a shame to see this region so dry. Stopped here to make lunch with the caravan on tow.

On the hunt to find a cache on International Geocaching Day. This cache being the closest to home for us made it our target for the day! The drive from Wentworth was a sobering one with the realities of the drought very visible out this way. Some cheeky sheep on the wrong side of the fence were having a good much on what was available roadside. Parking near GZ we had a look around and located the cache container.
We have replaced the container with the same size as the last one was brittle and broken. With our name in the log book and a good stretch of our legs we were off onto our next adventure! Thanks for placing this out here, a great spot to make a stop.

Great little hidden container. No chance of washing away as the river is dry as a bone. Thanks.

Found this afternoon to break the drive a little. Without the cache we’d have just driven right through here without stopping to learn about what was/has at times been a flowing river/branch to support the area. TFTC.
TFTC. Container in somewhat poor condition.
Nice rest stop but noisy at the moment with pipeline works. But looks like this section is almost complete.

Almost too hot to leave the air-conditioned car for this one but made the short walk. Lid of container is cracked so won't be watertight when it rains.
I was keeping my Auntie company as she drove her grand daughter Ella towards the families sheep station. We met up with Ella's step mom and her brother Campbell and baby sister Pippa at the Coombah roadhouse. I have never driven this way before and today I had a lovely trip spending 4 hours from Merbein to Coombah and back, chatting to Auntie Sue, grand daughter Ella plus meeting Campbell and Pippa and their mother Laney for the first time. Aussie Mark has gone fishing with his parents and stole my garmin. So, ended up finding this with my offline phone. Went round and round in circles b4 I realised I needed to go through a gate.... TFTC out here. All dry today, Sue says there is normally some water here, but nothing here today.
Making our way to Broken Hill and made the most of grabbing what few caches there were along the drive. Managed a nice quick find and continued on our way, thanks reverb for the hide and for highlighting the views from the gz, very tranquil!
Stopped in here to stretch the legs as I head north.
My sister camped the night here a few months ago and told me it was peaceful at night.
A quick search of the area and I soon had the cache in hand.
