Revisiting this cache with IolantheK today. Unfortunately there is a chain but no container
I really wanted to get this cache, so this afternoon I brought T-Tech with me, and managed to get a good look at it. The chain is still there, with nothing attached I checked all around the hiding spot but there's nothing in it, and it's not big enough to hold a regular size cache. Looks like it's gone Please can you check, LLJ?
Sorry folks, this one has been stolen. It was an ammo box chained to the tree. The chain was still secure, so they must have cut the handle of the box. Whatever, it will be good to hear they have been bitten by a deadly snake and died while placing their new cache.
Thank you to everyone who visited. I believe you had as much fun finding as we did reading your logs.

Sorry to see this one gone In our attempt to get it yesterday, we did a balancing act with me standing on T-Tech's shoulders Quite a feat, I can assure you Thanks for your work, LLJ [^]
On my way to have lunch with my geospouse and I thought I'd have a look at this one, and that's exactly what I did I had a look! Most amusing and appropriate . I'll be back.
Dropped by with a load of TB's that have been traveling with me for some time. They all showed signs of vertigo at the sight of it and begged to stay with me.
@ 2036 with squirrel_Joe just hanging out tonight and thought we would pick up a cache or two. Thanks for hunt.tnlnsl
Previous logs had prepared me for what I might find and I wasn't disappointed.
I've always enjoyed being outdoors; perhaps it was my tree-hugging skills or all the scrumping I did when was a kid that helped me retrieve the cache.
Plenty of funny comments in the logbook. People's ingenuity never ceases to amaze me.
TFTC
PS Next time I'm bringing a chainsaw!

Out for a big day on the geobike today.
I got to GZ and looked and looked and looked and then I saw it about 2m away. DOH!
MR Lat&long Junkie...this is the 2nd time you've made me do a cache like this......and I did not have my stuff with me. Signing the log proved fun..one handed.
A great little hide. All is well with the cache but could do with a new zip bag...mine where just out of reach when I discovered this

Cache is still intact but ziplock lock has separated from the bag...living cache open in ammo tin. It probably needs a new ziplock bag but we didn't have one with us...and couldn't have managed the acrobatic feat even if we had had one.
After reading all the logs we just had to do this one. Who'd have thought that after 26 yeRs of married bliss it would be this cache that would introduce us to a totally new position? Have renewed appreciTion of geohubby's muscles. Realty wish someone had been there with a camera. TFTC - it was a lot of fun.
A classic must do cache. Well done Lat&Long Junkie a very creative idea. I must admit I missed a clue that was staring me in the face but fortunately managed to get this cache anyway. TFTC.
Having done a little research prior to my visit I had an inkling of what maybe in store.
Arriving at gz I was not surprised. After another of Mr Lat&Long's caches 'located' in a similar fashion one must wonder about his other talents
Enough of that....how to get said cache. Well let me say that MacGyver nor Bear Grylls had a thing on me today. Reaching into my trusty backpack I grabbed ***** and fashioned a few *****s. Securing these to the ***** I then **** ** to the cache and signed the log. Once back at gz it was a simple task to remove **** from the ****
Thanks Mrlatlong junkie....not only for the cache, another reason to visit the area....and also for something just that little bit different

Oh yes Robert Wadlow 'that Robert Wadlow' and to think that I thought that he was the Phantom of the Opera!
My father knew Robert well as the both travelled the same circuit from town to town, set up, pack up day after day
My dear departed Dad was born with polydactylism and could always draw a crowd when he held his hands up in the air, scare the hell out of others when offered a handshake and was always selected to be the catcher behind a wicket and he was the only man that I ever knew that could give a bunck of six's. He was also pretty good on the piano. When mucking around with each other he would tickle Robert behind his knees and in return Robert would stir him up up by drapping his hand over Dad's eyes.
Great Cache it was lucky to survive the fire that has gone through the area recently. As for the other debri mentioned, it has been disposed of.
Thanks for the effort and creativity and good to a REAL cache container instead of the rubbish that seems to dominate these days. TNLN

Right in front of my eyes but I was blinded by my preconceptions of what I was looking for, round the mulberry bush three times and still no cache. Time to set Duck loose to asses the situation, cleared a path through the scrub long enough for an emergency rapid take off and let Duck loose, It was gone for 7 days and seven nights, just as the sun rose I saw Duck returning for a low level rapid descent with the answer for where the cache was to be found and the problem was solved. You can take a dog to sniff out a cache, a pig to root around in the dirt for it, or talking galah to tell you where to go, but nothing beats a determined direction finding Duck for finding a very cleverly placed cache. TNLN TFTC
Well, I've been looking forward to this one for a while and wasn't disappointed!
I was solo today for once, which is not ideal for this cache, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. Our team is named after our cat, and luckily I was able to channel some of her skills... shame no-one was there to take some shots, but then again I was pleased no-one saw me give myself some cuts and grazes either.
Nicely stocked cache and all is fine inside. I took Deep Space Homer TB out of orbit and left other things.
There are quite a few weird things strewn around the wider area. On the way out through the bush I came across a brand new cordless drill set, left open to the elements so that it has clearly been rained on enough times to rust the drill bit. Next to it was a chisel and metal bar. A crime scene? Let's hope not!
PS I think at least 3 for D is fair enough for this one. Very few caches have been as physically challenging for a solo cacher. Thx LLJs!

Having run into Mr Wadlow on the gold coast recently we were pretty sure what to expect. The lengths we had to go to in order to get the cache were unexpected though!
Luckily Mr N has been working out lately, If i had too it would have been easier on him!
From the condom wrappers around the cache site it looks like people are turning up here well and truely prepared for anything

Found and retrieved on first attempt. Ooh yeh. Great cache. Tn left eclipse tin.
Nice stroll towards the cache which was spotted by both of us straight away...ummm Mr Bushies2 was very determined to retrieve it which he did, thankful that he is a fit man Thanks for the awesome hide.
We had found this before but had not been able to get to it. came back today and managed to get to it. Took Snake left dinosaur. signed log.

Ooooh, there is waaayyy too many spoilers in these logs, so was in no doubt as to what to expect at this one. Arrived at Gz, yup, as expected, so I then gathered a few bits and pieces from the surrounds and managed to retrieve and replace the log book... I was just glad no one was with me with a camera, that's all I will say!
Then on the way out, I saw an interesting device locked to a tree... OK, that can't be a coincidence, but couldn't see anything in the logs??
Yhis one is very nasty Mr LLJ, very nasty!... I like it!

Awesome cache in *safe* location - struggled with geokids for several minutes to access this one but our perserverance paid off. Eventually got the log signed and exchanged some goodies.

It was shortly after finding this that we were regretting altering course from the FrankoFunsters. However geo-male was determined this would not beat him and using props left by a previous cacher we were able to get our hands on this. TN. Left GeoCoin.
TFTC just hope your ears weren't burning too badly at the cussing from geo-male.

Wished I was Robert Wadlow when we found it. Used the branch from the previous GCer to get it. TFTC SL TNLN
We were looking all through the grass for ages then looked up and saw it! Very clever and not where you'd normally expect. Had to put a branch against the tree and somehow managed to climb up.

Found this one, met a few cache'ers on the way, was quite a climb but not too hard!!
Out with magenta174, daughter, friend and geodog. Nice easy find. Bit of a scramble, but fun.
Out caching with tradie1, friend and granddaughter. Great cache. Good spot. Lookout nearby offers great views. TFTC
Have to agree this is a bit of an evil one. Add to it we did it on an extremely hot and humid day which I think added another difficulty star for sweat dripping in our eyes.
Wasn't too bad to get the cache open and sign the book but getting it all together again was another kettle of fish. However, with a little bit of ingenuity, a few acrobatic moves and sheer determination we did it! Hooray!
Add another difficulty star too as we forgot our sunnies at the cache and had to make a trip back.
Thanks for making us think and giving us a giggle.
Took dvd ( we couldn't get it back in the cache)
Left $1 coin (all we had with us)
Thanks for this one and thanks goodness our pool was only 200metres away!
Cheers,

Nice cache a little tricky and not a bad story behind it. Great morning for a walk although pushing a stroller with two kids was tough
Found this one without any problems but getting to sign the log was a differant story.
Managed to come up with a plan and signed the log.
Thanks lat&long junkie

What the! Didn't know what to do so we didn't do anything! Pouring with rain so we didn't attempt a recovery. Will try another day with smaller people. TFTC
I would love to meet Robert Wadlow so when I arrive there - oh no how can I reach it... mmm I have good idea so return back to the car and bring my tool with me finally meet Robert. (see pic) No swap. SL. Thanks lat&long Junkie
Why Robert Wadlow? Never mind it is a cache and quite near the path and carpark.

Accompanied Mr L&L on a maintenance visit. We got out of the van, he hands me the GPS and says, "find".... Off I went. Some lovely spring native plants flowering or seeding along the way. All I can say that I am glad I wasn't alone! Log signed. Cache replaced. Not another soul in sight. TFTC and the walk through the bush.
Not sure about the rating of 4 for this one - Quite an easily grab. Continued along the path to Peggs Lookout as it is always nice to take a stroll in Toohey Forest.
Enjoyed to walk on track to gz as a bit seach area, puzzle no cache there, check on pervious log said, ummmmmm as keep looked, oh what bugger [:o] ...cant reach to cache, very cheeky hunting idea good one... hide very well still dry inside when raining.... [:8o]...thank hunting... enjoyed day....
Nice hide! Had get to it another 3 time to put it back because I kept dropping the log book bag. Dog tag travel bug wasn't in it. Tnln, TFTC!
Saw this one from quite a distance away. Opened easily, but closing it was a bit tougher. Nice idea here L&LJ. TFTC.
Found whilst taking a wander through Toohey Forest. Was a bit of a challenge to get on my own and even more of a challenge to get the log back. Grabbed a TB.
I've been wanting to get to this one since it was published. It sounded like a good challenge, just the thing! I read the logs and was not sure if this would be doable on my own, but I could at least check it out. Found it quickly and spent a couple of minutes sizing up the situation. Thanks to a nearby piece of timber, and a childhood spent doing lots of this stuff I was soon in business Got myself secure with the cache and with a little bit of contortion signed the log. Thanks for a fun cache L&LJ
After seeing this cache I have learnt 2 things. Firstly always read previous logs. Secondly always go caching with a friend. This would have made things much easier.
When I arrived at the GZ I thought "surley I don't have to do what I think I have to do." Then I started searching for something close by to help with my situation. After a few minutes I bit the bullet and did what I had to be done. Signed the log and then it dawned on me, I had to do it all again to replace the logbook. Great cache. Thanks Lat & Long

I know we have been warned about this one but being in the area, just had to stop by for a look. Pah, no worries for the Lokipagan acrobatics team . Ok maybe there was a bit of a "discussion" but turns out there is more than one way to get to this one. Must say I am certainly glad it isn't as tricky as a certain other cache we had to pull out the stunt squad for [B)]. Thanks LLJ [^]
Wow Another great cache by lat&long Junkie! When first confronted by this one we were not quiet sure how to approach it . We knew what we were in for, as previous logs had put us in the picture. Still for a little while Geckomaster and myself felt more like acrobats than geocacher's . We were determined not to walk away from this one, so the geocacher's resourcefulness ramped up to full power. Yah !!! ,after some laughs and mild frustration the cache was ours.[^] Loved the little history lesson .We would rate this one as one of the most favorite caches to date TFTC Keep them coming !

Nice hide, first of this type I have found, often wondered why there aren't more like it out there. Nice bit of trivia too, would never have known about it if not for the cache. Took snake in the box toy, left stubby cooler. TFTC.

7/07/10 1.30pm - Finally got out today with RhesusFactor for bit of geocaching and he wanted to find this one. Found easily but getting to the cache took a bit of monkey business on his part. Signed log, left TB Clog to send it on its way. TFTC L&LJunkie

Oh my God that was hard work having to work together with Dosshell on this one but so worth it amazing skills are needed.
Actually found the cache quite easily as the note states just couldn't sign the log.
Now I’ve found difficult caches, sneaky caches, clever caches and a few easy caches but this is the first time I have come across a downright nasty cache! Talk about frustrating! I’ll be back to conquer this one another time.
Thanks for the surprise.

This was great - not least because of the total surprise factor. Our primary purpose in visiting this lovely bush reserve very late in the day (with our muggle brother) was to locate the "Detonator" cache. On the way back to the car we thought we'd also grab what we expected to be a quick & easy traditional - we hadn't even read the notes or seen the difficulty rating. So. First thing we see is the orange marker - that seemed a little 'out of place' we thought. Still we thought we were looking for the usual - something along the lines of the ones we'd found earlier in the day. Ammo tins or systema's under sticks & leaves etc. Until the brother says - "what's that?" Yes well we were a little taken aback. Even though we''ve tackled similar & more difficult examples of this before it was the fact we didn't know about it before we arrived that was great. We'd gone in totally cold so to speak. Anyway we had enough resources with us to sign the log book. Excellent cache - thanks!
Found with Marg OK but how to get it had to ask for some help from some workmen near by. TFTC
Out this mornig with Mrs Ant and Geobub cleaning up a few newish local caches we hadn't got to yet.
This was the first on the list, and a nice easy find...............signing the log though was a different story!! did manage to sort it out after a while.

Found it with Bedmaker... he was prepared luckily... so I just watched and wondered about family personality traits.
Knowing how the mind of L&LJ thinks sometimes helped when it came to doing this particular one.
I had an idea of what I might need to grab the find so I came suitably prepared.
A nice walk in and had the cache in no time. Nice work Uncle.

Second attempt.
This time I came prepared with a rigid tool.
Also brought a workmate to hold it for me ...No, his name was not Robert Wadlow but it might have been helpful to have him along as well.
Inserted the tool into the right place and this time the log book came out quickie like.
I extracted Bart from the den and then left with my rigid tool..

I didn't read the cache notes 'til I got there (as usually happens)
What an odd name for a cache I thought when I did read the notes while sitting at the nearby picinic area [:o]
Well Bob's my uncle so I figured this would be an easy find.
It was [^]
One problem remained however after I had located the cache
Like some other cachers, I too used to watch episodes of McGuyver
(I tried to watch one a couple of nights ago on cable telly and couldn't believe how bad it was and turned it off after 10 minutes) [:o]
But those childhood memories run deep and I soon found a useful tool nearby and before you could say "Richard Dean Anderson", had the contents of the cache in me paws
I took the 'Tent Peggy' travel bug and left 'Boarder Bart' travel bug in this record breaking cache.

Brilliant clear autumn morning and a nice walk with the Geokids - just picked happened to pick this one up. Fortunately the kids provided the

We had done our homework and contacted uncle bailey for some help but then decided that there would be room in the backpack.
We then rang uncle shirley to see if he and his mates from the 70's were available. They weren't.
So we looked around the yard, grabbed some items and headed off. Parked on the southside, headed off along the new bike path and then the road crossed safely.
At GZ, we stared, circled, plotted and imagined.
Our extra items proved immensely useful at both opening, retrieving and returning the cache.
Thanks for the cache mr lat&long.

GZ found quite quickly. We stood there and went hmmmmmmm. Took photos. Engineer Modelbear then found what was needed and retrieved logbook. Didn't waste time checking out what was in the cache as the situation looked precarious for a while Thanks for the challenging cache. Think a webcam set up near GZ would make for interesting viewing
After reading all the logs I thought this was going to be a real challenge. Arrived at GZ for my turn to step up to the mark, and had no trouble what so ever in putting my hands on the cache and retreiving the logbook. Did the usual, signed the log book and returned the cache. Didn't know what all the fuss was about.
So went home, cancelled the cherrypicker and are now writing a log.
Anyhow always up for something a little different.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache.

The geodaughter and I decided we knew what was in store for us with this one - not quite though.
We managed to get it open - just.
We managed to get the log book out to sign - just.
We managed to return the log book - just.
We managed to close the cache back up again - just.
We managed not to comment on your family tree - just.
Thanks for a fun cache , the geodaughter is still smiling about it - SL but couldn't manage any swaps.

I arrived at GZ (You can't miss it) and surveyed the scene.
"This looks simple.", I thought, as I dug through my assortment of gadgets. The instrument I selected was flexible and engaged the right spot for access to the cache but my agility and dexterity is not what it used to be (maybe I was a chicken). So I didn't manage to sign the log book. I will return with a more rigid tool.

The cache is in the opposite direction to work... Nuisance...
When you arrive the terrain is still wet from the recent showers... Nuisance...
Your armed with a veritable MacGyver kit and still underprepared... Nuisance...
You finally get the log book in hand and find FTF already gone... Nuisance...
Count them up Mr L&L... I make that a 5 star Nuisance rating... On the up side, my body was most forgiving as I pushed it to it's limits...
I wish I was there when you placed this, or at least spotted you enroute to and from GZ. That would have made an interesting convesation... I shall seek answers to my questions tomorrow night... [^]
Oh, I left the Man on a Mission TB as he was being a nuisance...
Cheers Lat&Long Junkie.

This is the highlight of my short Geocaching life! FTF with hiphipsueray our first ever! Yeh went last night - pretty scary at night - (i recommend it though) but we couldnt find it. So went back this morn with great success. and yes the cuts on my hand prove its hard work to get to. TFTC!!!!!!
Well, I logged this find on my iphone, but it doesn't seem to have showed up. Anyway...
WOOHOO!!! Our first FTF - found with Gazamataz - awesome cache. Lost our pen our our tradeable on the way, so had to run back to the car to get a new pen, but couldn't trade unfortunately - very annoying since there was so much awesome stuff!
Great hide. TFTC

I found the "Scoop" TB on Bruny Island, Tasmania. He'd been missing for two years. No idea where he's been. I placed him in a TB motel, but no one moved him, so hopefully he'll start travelling again after this cache is published.
