Collected the required info some time ago and came out today with Bushnik to collect the prize .Thanks for the work you put into this multi!TFTC
Found with FUF009. A planned day to hunt DT combos to get us jumping from 1 loop to 4.We started out early from Adelaide, and 3 hours later, we were at our 1st cache. It was, thankfully, not a sunny day like yesterday was, and we were able to find all our targets plus a few extras. We're both chuffed to have levelled up.Another superb caching day in SA.Tftc
Find # 13495I'm heading to Adelaide for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Day 1. Home to Woodcroft. Solo driving. So plenty of breaks. That one thing caching is good for, stopping to stretch the legs and grab a smiley too. A couple of finds and labs in Vic before crossing the border. Where the mad caching begins.I have quite a few on the list for today, but what I don't get heading west, I'll get in a few days time going east, back home. Have had the numbers to GZ in my list for some time now.Today I just happened to be taking the right road to make the quick find at GZGreat view through the valley.TFTC MtnLioness (adopted by mtbikeroz)
Christmas trip to Adelaide 2023. Day 4. Boxing day Blackwood Day 2. Another cloudy and damp day. I was determined to steer clear of shops, so I headed into the hills behind Blackwood to try for a few caches. I went for a short walk in a park and then found some ridge top roads to drive along getting a few caches as I went. After a very enjoyable walk around trying to work out what was needed, I was happy to get some numbers, but I did need to re-evaluate a few answers to get something that matched the checksums. It always pays to read everything carefully. Happily at GZ there were no further problems, and I was happy to be able to sign the log. Thanks for the cache mtbikeroz45155.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & July 2019 I Met Signal Tag - Ozgeomuster A#404**Albida**
I think I have had the final for this one for almost 3 years. I have never made it up here to make the find. Today a group of us visited GZ and we scoured the location high and low. Eventually the cache was placed back in the garden, signed by all of us in attendance. Found today at 2pm, find #9141 with Doineedthis, KTPops, Jolly0 & Runty Rob.
Found it Grabbed the coords for this earlier this year, and today was the day after completing the Scott Creek Multiple. On the way back home this was the last for the day.aka the coloured mint tin by the sea peopleaka Minty ManTFTC mtbikeroz
No joy here this afternoon despite the Checksum confirming my numbers and PAFing a previous finder A DNF for me here
A nice and simple multi with GZ in great condition
Two with 2 events on, one in the hills mid morning and another after lunch back in the city, I decided to head to the hills early to find some caches in around the local towns as it was quite, a nice morning out dodging the rain.
Thanks for the cache

So after sitting on a waypoint for this cache for a while we finally had the chance to go make the find at gz
The cache was easily located. We put the log in a little bag to help keep it dry through winter.
A beautiful day out with the geopup and pie_mom!

Found after a lovely drive through the hills in this autumn colour and weather. An interesting and informative park to start. Thanks for the cache and maintenance.
Another day down south for some caching and a swim at Port Noarlunga. Stopped off first to do the new AdLab in Reynella, then a little further south for some of the many trads I still have left down here. Then on for the swim before hading east for some more AdLabs before heading home at dusk.
Was passing by GZ today so finally had to get my stamp in the log book.
Thanks to mtbikeroz for placing this cache here for me to find

Final location was quite a distance from the listed coords. Rode the mountainbike around the Scott Creek area and dropped into this cache. Great views. Signed log and replaced.
Not long after completing the puzzle, we found an opportunity to come out here. TFTC
The fog was thick as I made my way around getting to know the hostel inhabitants. An absolute full garden of memories here. A wonderful multi today. TFTC
The cache location had been worked out previous to today but today I was in the area for a breakfast event and stopped to make the find. TFTC
Out with sir_spectre and Allister W finding a few caches in the area. I grew up in Pennington and worked out the answers many years ago. Today I got to put my name in the log.

Out with CPwanderer caching around the Adelaide Hills on a rainy day.
We had just walked over to gz, when I'd spotted a mob of kangaroos watching us.
A great view from gz, thanks for the cache MtLioness

Spent some time in the area a few weeks ago but just got round to finding the cache. Good views. TFTC
After heading up into the hills to watch some mates play footy I decided to also find a few caches before heading home. There were some pleasant views had at various gz’s as an enjoyable afternoon was had.

With the final co ordinates sitting in the background for some time it had been a while until the Adders could get to GZ to make the find. Interesting that there was one of those here at some stage and a pity these places were not maintained for historical purposes. Another day out with a Rat, Owl and a Starfish seeking a few previous DNF's and others while around the area this was a quick and easy find. Took TB to move on. TFTC
Just passing and dropped in a TB to replace the one taken out by her companions.
Having delayed their weekly caching time to visit a friend in hospital, Owl and SA Sewer Rats decided on a leisurely drive to fill in the afternoon.... with some caches on the side. This was a target cache for Owl, who had mucked up the numbers and unsurprisingly failed to find the cache on her last visit. With revised GZ, this was a quick find in a lovely area.
Out with a low flying Owl, for day of laughs and caches.
having worked this out years ago.
Today day found the Rat and Owl in the right spot.
A quick find for us today. Tftc

Time to head over to McLaren Vale to meet mogni for a fund night of laughs and caches. But first I think I have enough time to grab a few caches on the way.
Mogni was in fact with me when we did the first part of this one back in July last year. So it was only fitting if I found out if we were completely out in our calculations. In fact this was the second of these caches were the first part was done, coordinates worked out and we second guessed if we had them right. [8)] The first had worked out well and this proved to be the case again. I guess they did multi-caches way differently back in 2011!
On arrival all I could see was a impressive entrance. A quick search and I had the cache in hand.

Collected the clues over a few visits quite a long time ago and only recently the renewed incentive to cross this cache off the list resulted in a recalculation of the sums and the appearance of some viable coordinates in a place not all that far from home. Found the cache today after a scenic drive around the hills. The cache and logbook were quite damp as the plastic cover was upturned, so I dried it out as much as possible and repositioned the cache and its cover in a slightly more elevated position. Thanks for the cache MtnLioness and mtbikeroz!

Finally
Checking the dates it must be over 4 years since I visited the start. I even had to make a revisit after losing a work pass, but it was still on the bench when I got back an hour later.
Have probably got to within a km of GZ a handful of times since working out the coordinates all those years ago, but never had the opportunity to stop.
Today, however, Bek had to be dropped off nearby for a week long survival camp (a chance to build life long memories), and after saying Bye I had a spare 15 minutes before heading back down and going to work.
A nice quick find with the coordinates spot on, and I enjoyed the views as I logged and also reminisced on gardens and memories

Started out with this one several months ago, today was the first day that we would be venturing into the area that the cache resides.
Last night I created a GPX file and loaded it in the GPS, rechecked street view to reacquaint myself with the final resting place.
So this morning the Team went off in two cars, delivered one to the new owner (the mighty IMP has a new home) GZ was about 3km from where we delivered the car.
I turned to Mrs IMP666 and asked her where the GPS was. Yes you are right on, I'd left it home connected to the computer.
We had come all this way so off we went in search of landmarks, we knew what road it was located on.
In true BFE style the cache was soon in our hands.
A Favourite point will be awarded, also a few TB's visited and left a PathTag, not sure if it was a Devil or Brock tag. The next finder will soon work it out.
Great experience

Wow, this is one of a couple of multis we started about 4 years ago and had the final coords that we never managed to go to. We were surprised that we still had the final coords for this one as we had shifted across to the other side of the country and back again in the meantime and still had them tucked away. Finally we were driving right past GZ today and made the stop off to get this cache ticked off. Actually, we were a little bit doubtful when we arrived as we could not see any correlation between GZ and the original WPs, but soon found the cache and enjoyed the sights anyway.

After a nice dinner of crispy noodles with seafood at Casuarina at Marion JJ52, locus cache and I headed to the hills for a few caches.
This particular cache was actually our reason for visiting this neck of the woods as some time ago now this same trio had visited a park in Pennington to gather the information needed to calculate the GZ coordinates.
Ismartis found an important piece of information which led to the others finding the cache which came complete with a red back spider. Yes, be warned future finders.
There's certainly an interesting story and bit of history to this cache [^]. Well worth the effort.

Friday night and JJ52 and Ismartis said they could tolerate caching with me, so after having a nice tea at Vasuarina at Marion we headed out.
JJ52 pulled the plug about 12.30am , Ismartis got dropped home about 3am [|)] and I got home about 5.45am.
All up I found 12 caches but a few of those had been on my 'I really want to find that cache' list for quite some time, so it was a good night! [^]
Finally, after obtaining all of the information about 4 months ago, the 3 of us managed to get up here to find this cache
I had to laugh as Ismartis looked where the GPSr pointed us and said 'there's nothing there but.....'
Upon being reminded of the cache name, the penny dropped. Especially when some camo was removed and the cache was found
We loved walking through the memorial garden and reading the information [^] and it was fascinating how different life was then to now. People of all nationalities were welcomed and formed the backbone of this country's culture and workforce for many years!

Ismartis, locus cache and I visited Pennington Gardens on a caching run about 4 months ago and had a good look around, took photos and gathered information that we needed to complete this multi.
I found it very interesting reading all the books and imagining what life must have been like for these migrants, who have contributed to making Adelaide the multi cultural city it is today.
We decided against going for the drive into the hills that night, but tonight was the night, our first opportunity to go and find the cache.
We arrived at GZ and started looking for the very well hidden cache. [^] After Ismartis found and dismissed something unusual but relevant, we kept searching and soon found the cache. [^]
Thanks for the history and the cache mtbikeroz.

Got the numbers for the final GZ a while back while on a visit to a relative. I drive past the GZ quite frequently and never realized it was there. Today there was fog/cloud all around. Form the tiles I saw that our previous PM and the new SA governor went through the hostel. Thanks MtnLioness.
Was out and about this Miss GG today doing a bit of photography down south. So we decided to make a detour through the hills on the way back.
We had a big search in the wrong place for about 10 mins, untill I decided to check my coords I had saved on Geocaching web page.
A big growl from me as I discover we are 60m too far down the road!! Doh I forgot to update my GPS.
Found it in the end

I was looking forward to reading the stories in the field but alas there are some that put their personal gain (in dollars) ahead of the intrinsic gain of others.[:(!]
Some of the required numbers were found using the photos, but some of the photos were unreadable so the help of a friend was required.
Anyway, long story short, I was up this way looking for a coffee and decided to drop in to the visit garden and to admire the views.
Now for a bit of personal history: I spent some time 'studying' to be a chef at the Migrant Hostel. That was many moons ago and I've definitely moved on.
Thanks for the cache MtnLioness.

It's such a shame that the original stories have been stolen. Some people are just brainless idiots.
I used the supplied photos to gather some of the required numbers, but unfortunately some of the photos don't have enough detail to clearly see what's required. I spoke to a previous finder who helped me fill in the blanks.
I certainly didn't expect to find this multi only a few kilometers from home. Cache is safe and sound and in good condition.
Signed the log. Thanks for the stories MtnLioness.

CACHE IS NOW ACTIVE AGAIN - HOWEVER, PLEASE read the description carefully before you start as things have changed. Until the council fix the park, you need not go to the park to get the information. All the information you need is on here. BUT - If you should like to visit the beautiful location, feel free to do so. It is worthy of a visit.
Have had the coords, but werent in gps. Bugger.

There is a fake rose at gz, has that something to do with the events of 170 years ago, or a coincidence?

After Easter, this will be altered but will still be doable. Thanx to Astro for the help and the idea.
Owner maintenance required. Sadly the ABC news last night stated that the bronze plaques at the park have been stolen. The organisers are not sure what to do as they do not have the patterns to reproduce the castings. Perhaps you can contact them as the geocaching community has a number of excellent pictures of the plaques. Some good things might come out of this cache.
It has come to my attention that some thoughtless young scum have utterly destroyed these plaques and the stone walls in this lovely park. The plaques were ripped off with Crowbars and stolen and the park has sustained quite a bit of damage.
I have spoken to my contact at the local council who is very disappointed and upset by this display of destruction. This cache will likely be offline til some sort of repairs have been made. Not sure when this will be as those plaques would have cost about $50,000 to replace.
The council have made plans to improve the area before this happened so when this park is fixed it will look better than before.

I started this one ages ago and did the first stage - then re did it. I was sure I had stuffed up the numbers when I got my first solution. However the check sum checked and I thought well I won't be getting this at them moment.

While geoson was at table tennis training we decided to duck out for a few caches, not many left here so a multi was the ideal solution, what a great spot enjoyed gathering all the clues and after a few calculations and the checksum giving us some confidence, we decided a slight detour was in order on the way home, quick find TNLN TFTC MtnLioness
For those contemplating doing this paperless, check your gps before you head off. We did the first stage yesterday. We got all the required info then started to drive off. Mrs TiedyeSmileys then noticed that there were a lot more letters in the formula then what we had. Luckily we have a smart phone so could check the cache there and then and sure enough, our GPSs were missing some steps in the description. Don't know if it was a GSAK or pocket query glitch or what but every second pair of steps was missing for us on our GPS, weird.
Having done all the hard work on this one last week only to learn that GZ was so far away, it was time to complete our journey. Not aware of the significance of where you took us, however the view was worth the trip or I think it was, I was too busy trying not to get blown off the hill!

Fascinating garden and stories. Hate to say it, but I agree with calumphing four - how about having a checker, as the final destination does seem a way away, so finishing this hide will be awhile. Thanks though, the visit to the garden is worthwhile in itself.
I did not make mistakes with the numbers this time. Thanks for the interesting place. Found it today. Good hide. Great views.

The Garden of memories - worth to visit - real interesting story about migrant etc,, so Today went for a scenic drive in the hills, Yes I am enjoyed myself and search and found - took Coin and Pathtag [^] [^] [^]. Thanks MtnLioness.
What an interesting and enjoyable multi. I had great fun visiting all the books to get the information required and learning about the migrants' experiences. The final location seemed a long way away, but it was a nice afternoon so we thought that we'd take the drive. Found the well hidden cache and I was really excited to discover that I was the First to Find. Took the unactivated GC (but left the speccy path tag for someone else). Thanks MtnLioness for a great multi.
A pleasant Sunday afternoon with EsromL discovering this area and its history, followed by an unexpected drive in the hills. A most enjoyable multi, only topped by the look of excitement on the geoson's face when he opened the cache to see the contents and discover that he was FTF. Took nothing, left GC. Thanks MtnLioness - great cache.
