We were planning on replacing this cache very soon, but since we have been receiving some rather nasty personal attacks from other cachers we are archiving it and considering whether or not all of our other caches will follow suit.
Even in the middle of the night plenty of muggles. But even undercover of darkness had no luck. Must be gone?
The cache is not on the right place (we tried all three possibilities and were not succesful)
It was wet and we couldn't find it on any appendage. Hopefully we just missed it and it's still there.
Out for a evening cycle ride and of cause a few caches on the way .

14:20 Extremely busy here. Spent 4 hours within 10 metres of the cache with the family at the beach. As we went to leave I sat down and soon was signing the log. Nice hide. TFTC

Out for another twlight run. A very quick find after parking the car. An excellent use of GZ to make a very neat little hide. Cheers for the cache!
TFTC - lovely spot - terrible weather - quick in and out!

Very nice cache. I live nearby in St. Johns and I have never been down to this part of the beach...stunning! TFTC.
Found by edmil & maddie. We arrived in NZ yesterday and after a few dramas like luggage still back in Australia and us in NZ we decided to put it behind us and go for a bit of a drive. I had managed to get the GPS up and running the night before after struggling to get from airport to motel. 20 minutes form airport yeah right nearly 2 hrs later we managed to find it by pure luck. Anyway I digress, back to the cache. This is our first cache out of Australia, the first of a few in NZ I hope. We had just breakfasted on the foreshore and I turned the GPS on as we drove down the scenic road. Whoa cache alert stop car get out - nooooo pen, noooo pencil. So after finding the cache I replaced it turned around and went down the road a bit and bought a pen. Back to cache, park car and lo and behold the heavens opened- again. well we waited until the rain cleared then grabbed the cache and signed the log. I slipped one of our path tags into the cache and let our micro compass rose geocoin make its acquaintance. Thanks for the cache it will certainly be memorable.
A visit on a sunny summer afternoon would have been even better but dark and wet it was instead. A bit of a hollow victory in the end after my driver started to get impatient with my lack of cache finding skill. I would have found it - eventually. TFTC.
TFTC great spot to sit an look at the view. Our geohound loved the walk. Cheers Doris's
This visit to East Auckland was supposed to happen 4 weeks ago but I was called in to work instead. I finally got here on a reasonable day weatherwise.
A nice outlook from the GZ.
Cheers for the cache.

Our timing was a little off as AstonMarty and I turned up just as a couple of other gentlemen were leaving the area and were clearly not there for the same reasons we were. They soon took off into the night and allowed us to make the find and do the same (just in the opposite direction). TFTC
Searched at the given GZ, BUT oh NO, no cache, widen my search and found the cache in the next one. I hate it when caches migrate, BUT replaced it back where I found it. Managed to replaced the cache before a lone muggle came by. TFTC TNLNSL (2039)
Walked here after being up watching the amazing kites for the Matariki Festival. Such a gorgeous day and less wind by the minute. PINO TFTC
Nice quick find as we were driving to a friends house. Got it in the dark, wrote my name and we were off. Great spot. TFTC.
6th find for the night... GPS definately getting flat batteries but still a quick find even though we were apparently 20mtrs away (oh dear).... TFTC
Out night caching with KiwiEric.
Nobody noticed us sitting in the dark writing the logbook.

Nice and easy find with nztebs on way back from lunch, that was easy to extract even with muggles around. TFTC
14:15 I asked a muggle gentleman if he'd mind if I had a look. He showed us his new finger. Literally, as it had been chopped off by a rogue deck chair. Had an interesting chat. www.kiwiana.co.nz is his web site. Cheers, GC
Muggle next to cache, but we asked him nicely, and GenCuster chatted him up. Bit worried there . We drove there from Millenium Bridge, but karwave ran. HGK.
turn around point for my georun and there again the GCuster team
shared find, I was 12m to the east, left GC explaining geocaching to an oldie at GZ

Out and about enjoying a sunny autumn caching day. Managed to find a park close by and we were hoping for a quick find but unfortunately lots of muggles around today so we decided to return later in the day. Great spot for a cache T4TC.
Just about looked like the photo today. Thank goodness for a sensible hiding place, had lunch there as well. TFTC
Nicely placed for an easy pickup despite the crowds. Even a few people swimming this morning.

What a lovely spot. Lots of muggles on their runs after work. Quick find. Nice hiding spot. TFTC
thanks for the find - nice easy one to start the day and enjoy the blustery wind!
4454 Great spot to watch the world go by... Lots of muggles passing by, no problems with the find. Many thanks.
A cloudy and gusty day today kept the crowds away, making it a lot easier to recover the cache. Took a seat and watched the kite surfers for a minute. Looks like a lot of fun. TFTC
Found it after convincing the sitter to move. Boy4life did the duty of telling him all about geocaching rules while the rest of us rolled about laughing from a safe distance
Quick "I'll just go on a small detour while on the way home from work" find. Thanks.
Another quick find with the mid-night crew and joint FTF . Great to catch up again with kiwicouple...TFTC
With one successful FTF in our pockets we headed for the Kohicache. Pulled up at GZ and noticed a group of people crossing the road a bit further along. When they recognised us they started running. Had just retrieved the cache when they appeared around the corner, so a three-way FTF with 10centcoin and Stu4 while FMZ looked on. FTF # 179 . Had a long late-night chat before heading home - nice to catch up with you guys again.
