Found with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Clare for a couple of days and gathering some hides around the countryside. We completed the required maintenance by replacing the smashed container and sodden log. Thanks for the cache TK2.
Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying a couple of days in Clare to grab some finds. Out caching the surrounds. Thanks Tk2
Found it! Searched around for a bit for this one, eventually located. Log was saturated unfortunately, stamped and returned as best I could but cache could do with replacing. TFTC!
After lunch in Snowtown I headed out to find a number of old school sites and caches.
I can’t believe how many schools were in this small area outside Snowtown.

Found while having a Sunday drive around down this way finding a few caches after camping the night at Whitecliffs reserve Koolunga.
A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]
We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops.
A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited.
Thanks for the cache Tk2.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC
Was going to miss this cache but had to take a detour due to wet roads and needed up passing this way. quick find.
added log sheet.
The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

Day of caching in the area. Enjoying the country roads and tracks, which are all new to us. Quick find. Tftc
Took off up north today and kidnapped a frog. Went hopping around some caches together.
He got one, I got 18... seemed fair. Let's do it all again soon
No dark sarcasm in these classrooms! Just a memory.
Much thanks to Tk2 for placing and maintaining the cache on our map

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck!

Stay safe when caching. Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting

gridge98 had asked about going caching in the lower north area today[?] and I sure wasn't going to say no[^]
There was heat, rain[^], thunder and lightning[^] and cache finds totalling 31 of which 1 was a event held at 11pm at night at Vili's Mile End[|)][xx(][|)] I was exhausted by this point[|)][xx(][|)] and so slept in the car until the 6am event to farewell Gwen[|)][^]
Some awesome sights seen[^], great back roads travelled (some more slippery than others especially after rain showers passed overhead) and Rex had a ball running some roads and chasing vermin out of cemeteries[^]
We saw lots of 'old schools or sites'[^], entered tiny townships and learned lots of history[^]

3 caches here? Signed one of them
A quick find here cache is all good
Today locus cache and I headed north to clean up some caches we missed between Snowtown and Clare and the odd cache here and there. With limited time we managed to get 32 caches whilst dodging the rain.
Thanks for the cache

Staying at the Beautiful Hummocks station at Snowtown (highly recommend it) we ducked out to find a few caches nearby again today. Loved all the history shared today with us by using Geocaching as our guide.

Found on a trip north with Anymules, two containers one worse for wear and the other good enough to sign another in the long list of history of schools around the state we have visited over the years

Getting close to my work location with a few minutes to spare and decided to call into this historic location and we the find. Wandered around for a bit looking for the cache. GPS had me wandering around fo a bit but spotted the cache after widening the search area. Retrieved the log from the tablet container and replaced. Put the container back under the rather worse for wear original container to protect from the elements. Interesting location.

Must be getting well educated by now after going to all the schools. Cache was brittle and lid broken. Log was wet and unusable. Previous finder had attempted to place everything in a rubber glove, a valiant attempt but to no avail. Had a tablet container with me so have put in a replacement log and sat it with the original cache. TFTC.
Found it but very wet and damaged. I had nothing with me today to replace log or container. I did wrap it in a plastic glove to protect from any more moisture.
Another old school, quite a few out this way. Cache lid was cracked and logbook a bit wet, but signed it OK.

Seems to be the word Boucaut everywhere we look around here!! Funny about that! Thanks for the history lesson. The school wasn't open very long - we are amazed at all these tiny schools out in the middle of nowhere! Thanks
found with goingtheredoingthat and limbage on satday caching cruise ... tftc
Time to cache again after the hot spell of summer! Goingtheredoingthat, KarpyKarpyson and myself embarked on another short expedition to retrieve lost treasure on a lovely Saturday morning/afternoon. I think we collected 22 smiles all round. This one took a bit of time but GTDT spied it eventually.
Found while on a Saturday morning caching trip with Limbage and Karpykarpson. Find number 7 of 22 for me.
Interesting to see the locations of these old schools.

Came into this one via a very muddy track. A quick find once we arrived!!! Thanks Tk2 for the hide!
Out with a group of cachers driving around collecting caches and challenges. Blinky the navigator directed us onto a track that was definately a summer only track but with some rally driving by Mogni we made it through. It stumped us all, except Mogni who walked straight up and retreived it. Yes that 20 foot piece of polypie would make a nice water cache Blinky. No it will not fit in the car! Didn't stop him trying though! Thanks TK2
We are back. After the last attempt at this cache glad it was a bit easier this time for us. And Margieh didn't loose and Glasses this time.

Took a little looking this one but Geodad found it, Geomum not happy as spotted a snake skin near by, Geodad remarked the snake is naked and won't show himself naked to us, so we should be safe. Geomum still not sure. Geodaughter just walked carefully tho.
Another quick find & another old school found on our Clare Valley & districts caching trip today. Driving around on the back roads & dodging lizards on the roads. SL TNLN TFTC

The hint for the cache isn’t anything of the sort, and if it’s true, should be in red letters at the start of the cache notes.

A great caching day...the weather was the best since we arrived Gladstone one week ago....sunny and warm.... took us a while before Mr Bushies2 found it, ouch! ouch! Bitten by the muggle!! Thanks again.
We love this part of S.A. especially now when everything is so green..apparently it's been the wettest March for 30 years here!.
Found the cache quickly but what's that noisy little device nearby?.

Took a phone inspired short cut to this one just a pity about the hour and a half we spent getting out of the bog on the way lol.
It's hard to imagine this many schools in such a small area - but then again, times have changed

A pleasant afternoon's caching on the way to Clare. Nuvi a bit funny, but finally got to GZ and found it quickly. TFTC
Found quickly by geodad he had the mojo happening today while geomum had lost her's. Starting to spit with rain on leaving this cache. These roads depending on which route you take are dry weather roads. Couldn't get the series due to heavy rain and not wanting to run the risk of getting bogged in the middle of nowhere. TNLNSL. Found by Mary & David at 1340. Can't you imagine children arriving here on horseback? How pathetic that someone is stealing caches. Our thanks to Tk2 once more.
Hmm. The GPS has one waypoint and the Blackberry has another. Read the notes and crackberry wins.

Took 3 of us quite a while to track this one down. All the tyres had water in them, so when we finally found the tin, our expectations of a wet logbook were confirmed.
Upon arriving home to log this, it has occurred to me that we did see some glasses near GZ, but at least one of the lenses, while intact, are no longer in the frames. I'd say they've been stepped on at some point. If I knew Margieh had lost her glasses, I would have picked them up.
Thanks Tk2.

So many places it could be!!
Got there eventually though [^]
PS an eclipse tin is a micro isn't it, not a small cache?

So many possible places, thanks to the stones the search was narrowed down somewhat, I added some more.
It would have been very tempting to grab a handful of Eclipse containers from the car, if I'd had any, and scatter some red herrings around.
Thanks Tk2.

This one certainly didn't have a very long role as a school but we are sure that the farmer would have been happy with a good quality shearing shed. The building maybe now gone but we feel that the trees that have replaced it will be here a lot longer.
This one took a little longer to find than the others as the GPS kept changing it's mind in what direction it wanted us to search, we started to read the logs and found a hint and the cache was in hand shortly after
Thanks again Tk2 for the cache
