This one was a heaps fun drive to get to. It took quite a while to find as it was quite well camouflaged after a long time between finds. The coords were spot on. Thanks for placing this cache SA_ParrotHead!
TFTC. Day 7 of honeymoon caching trip. Just off caching today, don’t need anything fixed … so far … * touch wood * !

Nup. Too good for us today sadly. 1 from 4. Tried a PAF and a few devices to no avail. We are building not far away so will put on a watch and return. The drive out was “fun”. Sea eagle enjoyed it, so all was not lost.
TFTC nice find out and about with geo wife LynSteNet another smiley face and a beautiful day I gives this a favourite point great hide and location thankyou

Took a short drive to the west with Jack and Purrfect Di.

Nice to stop at your cache here,

A couple of people cruising around out here this morning , but they were all in the distance and only one came close well after we found the cache [8)]. Came in from your way out.
TNLNSL.
Quite surprised to find this structure here.
Made our exit about 2/3 our way along the beach toward Moonta Bay, passing the local CFS (who were putting out a fire in the undergrowth) as we drove along the foreshore .
Thanks SA ParrotHead.

Found with Deltaducks during our family holiday. Now understand the cache title. Didn't realise there were mangroves and samphire clay flats near Wallaroo. Great little 4WD track as well. A favourite. Tftc.
Off for another Puzzled Puzzlers caching Wednesday adventure. Again it was myself, S.A. Sewer rats and Blackadders heading for the Copper Triangle for a day of laughs, fun and smilies. But today we had decided we would cache until dark, have a bite to eat and continue with some night caching.
This was fun drive in. Sadly the cache container had succumbed to the weather. So the log went into a new metallic one that hopefully will survive a few more years.
**Thanks SA_ParrotHead for this cache. **

Another assault by a few of the Puzzled Puzzlers targeting the Yorke and surrounding areas. With the the great weather today a number of previous DNF's were turned into smileys and many others were turned into those nice yellow found icons on the map. Thanks also to the extra pair of Starfish eyes.
With an appropriate Geo Mobile we slowly made our way to GZ bringing the great weather with us and trying to avoid the many wildlife that came out to bask in the sun. The cache however had seen much better days so as we were there we did the owner a favour by replacing the container with a new metal one. Your welcome SA PH. and thanks for the cache.

Found on a visit to the northern Yorke Peninsula with FeatherWaite and gridge98. The significance of the cache name became apparent as we approached. Unfortunately the container has had a bit much weather by the look of it and needs replacing. Unfortunately we didn't have any with us.
Thanks SA_ParrotHead for the cache.
Thanks SA_ParrotHead for the cache.
Found during a foray into the Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta area (SA's Copper Coast) with e.gregory1 and gridge98 for the day. Thanks for the cache SA_Parrothead!
Over to the Yorke peninsula today with e.gregory1 and featherwaite to collect some puzzles and a LGA that was yet to be collected by myself.
A simple find but the cache is well damaged and needs replacing unfortunately we didn’t have one to replace it with

Found today on our Moonta Bay adventure.
Access via 4WD track was halted by a salty waterhole, which we decided against crossing to reduce rust in the future. So the last few hundred metres was on foot into the teeth of a howling gale.
Easy find at GZ, but another container that need replacing.
Thanks for the cache.

A couple of days of geocaching with Aussie M & M. As normal we laughed, we tried hard not to hurt ourselves and only replaced or repaired about 6 geocaches. Mr M spotted this one and decided it was worth venturing out to it. Another nervous passenger who actually got out of the car this time
Thanks to SA_ParrotHead from mogni

Out caching for the day with Mark and mogni. We were aiming to cache our way to Kadina, which only took about 6 hours when it is only a 2 hour drive. There may have been a few detours for caches we just had to do. This one was one of those.
This was a really fun cache to find. Mark loved getting the best out of the Koleos, Mary kept her eyes closed as she is a chicken when 4WDing in a SUV and mogni was just enjoying herself and navigating Mark to the correct tracks. Lovely spots nearby.

Found with Hill2Sea - last October long weekend resulted in us bogged quite badly in Mildura Mud (but so rewarding when we finally got out) so we were more hesitant then was necessary. Despite that both 4WD's got to GZ and said "I'm glad you've got recovery gear" to the other, only to discover that neither of us had learnt the lesson and all the purchased recovery gear was in 4WD #3 who had gone home that morning.
Anyway, a fun trip to the cache and a lovely spot when we arrived. We wished we had more than a few mins to watch the birds in the nearby water.
Unfortunately.....the cache was very brittle and disintegrated on touch. I had no replacements (what are the chances of that!) but we added in extra plastic to protect the log. It would be great if the next finder or owner could replace the container soon.
Loved the spot - thanks!

While staying in Wallaroo we headed towards The Gap and Cape Elizabeth to do a bit of 4x4'ing and grabbing a few caches on the way.
When we arrived at the first of the salt pans we pulled over and boiled the billy for morning tea while enjoying watching the little wading birds (mostly red capped plovers) scurrying around on the flats
We then enjoyed the roller coaster ride to GZ....once again caching takes us to another area which we would not otherwise have seen
Many thanks for bringing us here SA Parrothead.....a favourite point on it's way....just for the fun of getting to the cache[^][^][^]

A bit of fun driving these tracks, at least it was dry! Found after a short walk to the site, thanks for the cache.
Out for a nice drive along the beach to Warburto Point on a lovely sunny day. Stopped close to GZ and went for a little walk to the cache which we found quite easily. [^]
Drove back to the beach and had our picnic lunch looking out over the mangroves.
Had great fun driving these bumpy tracks and smoother tracks along the beach.
Thanks for the cache SA_ParrotHead.

Great hide. Please be very careful of the soldier ant nest nearby. One got me and I must say this has been a painful but really cool cache to find.
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
After our mixed up day yesterday we were up early and ready to head out with iluvtrekking to start where we left off yesterday at Moonta then up to Wallaroo.
All good until the first cache where we encountered some car problems These pestered us for a little while then magically disappeared so back on target or so we thought. The weather was magnificent and the pesky little flies mostly stayed away.
We had some fun and found a few caches. Sadly we seemed to yet again struggle with some multi's [8)]
All in all a great day seeing some great places thanks to Geocaching, including Moonta, Port Hughes, Wallaroo and Alford.
No problems for the GeoCruisers here but a good test for there suspensions. No whiplash today. What an odd spot but so interesting another spot we thank you and Geocaching for bringing us too.

We love caching around the YP and with the mild weather we enjoyed the opportunity to find this cache. A variety of hides kept us challenged and we spent time taking in the beautiful scenery and the changes that had taken place since our last visit. No napping on the drive to this one . Thanks to SA_ParrotHead.
Found It!
Quick find after our kayaking adventure. Bit of an unusual place to put a weather tower - but then again, weather towers are generally in unusual places...

Heading to Moonta with Demon41, on a Dirtbike ride doing some caching on the way ! tnln thanks great ride in !
Up and down, up and down, all the way to GZ. It was really good fun driving over this natural rollercoaster and the views around this area were great too. Another bonus was that we'd recently replaced the springs and shockers on the 4WD and the tow bar no longer bumps the ground on this type of terrain. A quick find and sign of the cache and then we were back on the track to the next one. TFTC SA ParrotHead.
Took the opportunity to do a couple of 4WD caches as Geohubby needed to give the Paj a run. Well hidden but I found it. Left you a charmed compass TFTC:)
Great driving out here along the beach. We did another cache on the way to this one then to Wallaroo. TFTC

I had a ball getting to this one in my ancient Vitara, however my GC friends Fich06 didn't enjoy the ride so much. Or the ride out again, which involved getting lost, attempting to join a random 4WD convoy, driving in circles for a while, stopping for fresh air so the nausea could settle, and finally finding a road we all recognized. We're traveling in the Cruze tomorrow, and doing some nice safe on road caches.
But massive TFTC, I had a ball, even if others nearly lost their lunch!

Not being the type to actually read the instructions before heading off... we made our way to this in a roundabout fashion after visiting Chadwington. Morrisminor72 was keen to try out her newly acquired 4WD skills. She had a ball. Fi was not so sure about things and Charlie was feeling somewhat car-sick (the first time ever). Nothing to do with Ali's driving - we've been in scarier situations with her in outback Queensland (in an Echo).
Anyway, we found the cache without too much trouble, and were really pleased that you'd brought us here. Getting home was a bit more of a challenge though... we did a LOT of driving in circles and never seemed to get far from the cache (in fact Fi said on a number of occasions '500m from the cache, still 500m from the cache... actually, we are near the cache again'.
Anyway, thanks ParrotHead, we had a fun little adventure. We plan to take the Cruze out tomorrow and stick to the more moderate caches.

Enjoyed the drive in our X4X along the track slowly because it was bumpy but great fun...Ms Bushies2 found it quickly. Thanks SA ParrotHead for bringing us to the cache.
This is our first 4 wheel drive cache. We were staying at Moonta with friends and didn't have coords in GPS. I put in manually on the way to the cache and stuffed up the coordinates. I got one digit wrong and went about 4km too far down the coast.
After finding the error we did another lap and got to GZ. John, David and I found the (black) cache after a bit of a search. Thanks for the 4 wheel adventure even though I was embarrassed by the mistake that I made.

Another beautiful day out caching with team Scallywag and the wild gang. Spring has sprung!!!! Tftc tnlnsl also bought a muggle traveller with us to check out caching. Very enjoyable.
Found with goingtheredoingthat. Great drive bounding up and down like a roller coaster! Mozzies did want to eat us alive, but we fended them off with our numchucking (is that how you spell it?) skills. Found in the first place we looked (about 5 minutes after we looked there). You beauty!
Found on a late afternoon caching trip after work with Limbage. The sunset was beautiful, the wheels were muddy, and the Mosquitos were hungry. The serenity was perfect! TFTC
A top cache that we enjoyed getting to.
Even warrants a favourite point, only the second I've given.
I'll admit we did take a chicken track as we were by ourselves. See photo.

We came from right up the top of the track, at S33 56.633 E137 35.512. Loved every moment of the drive down on a beautiful sunny morning. This is my third or fourth trip out to Bird Islands/Warburto, and I still love this place. Best place in the Copper Triangle by far, but also the least visited I imagine.
I spied something blue in the distance. I thought it was a bucket.

Just one of 160 caches found on our JLWE tour of the YP.
I hope that others took the oppertunity to visit this cache this weekend with the influx of cachers in the area, but I doubt it, which is unfortunate as this cache is worth 10 micro's tossed under a bush.
After departing Wallaroo we headed out here and came along the track from the north. We were joined by another random 4wd who turned off just before the cache to continue on. We didn't need to let the tyres down, but there were a couple of times I did consider it.
The views along the way were spectacular, and we stopped frequently to just enjoy the quietness and the scenery.
Once at GZ we made a nice easy find, before A went off to explore whilst the log was signed. She soon returned with what turned out to be part of our contribution to the CITO for the weekend. We now have a bright blue soccer ball!
A really lovely place to visit, and well worth the drive. Sure it took us an hour to get out here, but geez it was worth it. Thanks for bringing us here Andrew.

We decided to go from the cache Chadwington to this one. Wow did that put us to the test. We were whinging about the dirt road till we struck the track across to this one. We felt like we were on a rollercoaster. The tide was fully in and it was getting wetter as we went and we were wondering if we would get through to the cache. A very slow careful drive and by the time we got to the cache it was getting dark. Thank goodness after the ride here we found it. Thanks for the challenge and extending our 4WD skills.
Finally got around to logging this one now enough finds are on the board.

Mr Parrot you have excelled as usual. A brilliant neck of the mangroves and sandfires. When I got here, I just wanted to stand still, look at the anemometer and get hypnotized by it while sucking in the fresh pure pristine oxygen. Not another sole on the planet experience.
Special.
Clear skies. Of course.

Seaweed made it a bit tricky in one spot but what the heck, beaches are there to be driven on, mind you if the tide was in further it would have made the tidal swamp a bit of a challenge.tftc

If a Commodore can get here, my 2WD Hilux will have no problems! Drove to within 19 meters.
Before I placed my nearby cache, "Weather Tower", I knew there was a weather station out this way as the coordinates were listed on the WeatherZone website. However, when we first came out here to hide our cache, we did not have those coordinates with us, so simply assumed the beacon tower must also be the weather station. We hid the cache, but could not come up with a decent name for it. Suffering a bad dose of writers block, we simply decided to call it Weather Tower, in honour of the nerby structure.
Anyhow, were glad we've had the oppourtunity to visit the real weather tower, even if it isn't as impressive as the large red monstrosity just to the East.
Thanks SA_ParrotHead.

Have been out this area a few times thanks to Geocaching now and am starting to know all the back tracks so managed to get all the way out here in my Commodore scraping the bottom a few times but nothing to bad. Got to with in 50 meters of the cache and walked the rest of the way. Would be a fun trip in the 4WD. TFTC
4WD cache.... Don't have one, but the geocommodore has seen some rough stuff in the past... Let's give it a go...
Dazz was driving this time, last time when I was driving and we spent several hours bogged in the middle of nowhere....
Was an interesting ride to say the least and I was prepared to walk the last bit to the cache but Dazz made it a 'drive-by' except for the last 40mtrs.... Why do I question him...???
Got the FTF so was worth the early start....
Thanks Parrothead for the cache...
