Travelling around Australia - left Alice Springs and we are now heading north.
Stopped in Tennant Creek, dropped off the caravan, to hunt for the caches in the area.
Cache was found quickly, but the lid is missing.
Many thanks for placing this cache, The Mavericks, for us and others to find.

Another drive to see the sights while visiting Tennant Creek.
Hardly any muggles around but there was 2 parked at GZ in the shade.
It was in plain sight and a quick find so I returned it with some covering.
It is no longer a micro, now a small, and the lid is broken.
Will need some maintenance and will be a surprise if it lasts much longer where it is.
Thanks for the cache The Mavericks,

Surprisingly this one took me a little while to find! Well hidden, thought it was part of something else! TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the "land down under."
Found the cache container on the ground, broken & log book missing. Replaced it the best I could with new paper for log.
Thanks a cache in such a meaningful spot %OwnerName!

This country has amazing features First visited here many years ago when access was open slather Good to see it protected and respected Thanks
Loved the history of the Aboriginal women. 3 kids and us travelling Australia and getting a good education on the stories of Australia. Good find
Agree after being to the Devils Marbles the day before the Pebbles didn't have much of an impact, but a nice place to stop and have a quick stretch of the legs. Plenty of Muggles camped out down here but we parked the car in the way to block their view of us.

Thought these had all been logged messed up somewhere. Spent two nights here what a super spot.wonderful.tftc.camped here after reading about a cache nearby. Pity about the toilet paper streamers in such a historic site. Not helped by the high winds there our 1st night.

together with Lightning Lulu, stayed overnight in Tennant Creek, driving southbound to Alice Springs, TFTC
Found at 1.05.
Whilst checking out the "Pebbles" found this one tucked away.
Took us a while to locate, even roped in a fellow caravaner into helping.
they were very impressed, might have a convert.

Found as part of our 5 week trip from Adelaide to Lawn Hill and then onto the Territory.
Apologies for the late logs but Vodafone doesn't cover much of that part of the world.
We found 109 and had 10 dnfs, some more than once.
We weren't going to come here but glad we did.
Wasp nest is getting close to cache.

As we had been in Darwin for a cousins Wedding sadly we are now heading home Back to SA, wished we had more time to stay but driving back to SA is going to be a few long days and Nights. Found this one as we started our Journey home it has been great doing a few quick caches while we have been in Darwin wished we could have done more tho but time has run out quickly replaced Log sheet with a Geocaching one as logs were on little bits of torn paper. TFTC We hope to be back one Day Thanks NT Cachers

A nice interesting little spot to visit, the swallow mud nests distracted me briefly but cache soon in hand. TFTC TNLN
Great little hidden gem. Lovely spot off the beaten track, thanks for showing me this special place. SL TFTC.
that's for bringing us out here. no luck finding this one though. we spent a fair while looking everywhere logical and illogical but didn't come up with the goods this time.
Many thanks from Peter for this cache on the 13. Australia Trip (2012/2013).

Thanks for the Cache which I found on the way down to Adelaide. A nice place for a short stop.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 81 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, making our way from Darwin towards Townsville, and needing somewhere to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day, we decided to spend two nights in Tennant Creek, so that I could join the members of the smallest RSL in Australia for a service followed by a barbecue.
Vietnam Veterans Day just happened to coincide with International Caching Day, and with the nearest event being GC3RQVP Cairns City Catchup - International Caching Day by Wazza&Kara, just 1,259 CroKs away, or 1,774 Km by road, I needed a find on the day to earn the pretty little icon for my profile. I was lucky that the cache had been replaced by ian-and-penny just two weeks before my visit. Not having read any logs or description I might have been scratching around for quite some time before abandoning the hunt.
As it was I made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find, spotted from about 10 metres away, then had to wait about 50 seconds for a muggle vehicle to pass on by so that I could retrieve the cache.
My Groundspeak find No 2829, TNLNSL.

Too many muggles here today to look - in fact they were using the shelter as their campsite
Again like the last two we could not find it. Maybe the swallows have taken it?? Both of us had a really good go at finding it but I feel it might be gone.
When we arrived, there was a couple muggles camping under the gazebo but the guy knew about geocaching, he even helped us to search for the cache, we searched low and high and wide, came up with nothing so we gave up. Thanks.
Geo-son found this one again. He's got a knack with the micro's. Need to up the challenge me-thinks!
Interesting spot. Easy find once the muggles left. We'd planned on camping here but stopped to help some broken down backpackers further north so weren't going to make it before dark. Would have been a good spot to camp.
Banka Banka outstation further north also gets our recommendation for a spot to stop for the night with good facilities and moderate $charge. Very reasonable.

Found at 4.00pm GAFF1. After a fairly long drive from Daly Waters we decided to stop for the night here. Met a couple of other intrepid campers and then went off looking at the rocks. Not much to say about them really. Just that they are not as big as we thought and there is a small aboriginal design on one of them!
Thanks The Mavericks.
Thanks The Mavericks.
TFTC few muggles around but managed to accomplish, got some good photo's too after taking a walk.
Lost my marbles??
Nup, lost my wallet!
It fell out of my pocket in the carpark.
It was found 2 days later by a family passing through and returned to Victoria in the mail from Alice Springs.
Restores you faith in humanity.
I will not forget the marbles in a hurry.

Hmm... No clue to where it should be. Gps was not settling and the 2 caravans that occupied the area was not helping. Anyway TFTC
Camped at Pebbles for the night. After tea logged on to record the day's finds. WOT! - there's a cache 16metres from our door? Could not resist and grabbed it in the dark. A 'marbleous' spot and check out the stars after dark when all the lights are out. TFTC.

Find number 4 for the day, and find number 302 on the twentyfifth day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1305hrs Qld time.
Pretty easy find. Fortunaltly, the muggle who had set up camp in the middle of the roundabout, must have had something to hide, as he ducked into his tent when we approached, and we didnt see him again.
Cheers

Another "easy" DNF. How embarrassing. I'm sure I was staring right at it too. Sigh. TFTC even if I couldn't find it.

A top area, we enjoyed and location and finding the cache. Thanks to The Mavericks
well seems like people overnight out here.gray nomads etc.they sure keep an eye on you when you pull up and start looking at the fence posts, buildings, tables and benches etc.i could have told them i was studying spiders or something but i told them about geocaching they were impressed they were going to look it up on their puter as it maybe a new interest for them on their travels.
This was a trip, we took the drive out in our little yaris, it made it but a bit rough in some places, still fun thou. We walked back and forward a couple of times before we found it, good hidding spot.
Muggles had set up camp in the shelter at GZ lucky the were away shopping so we were able to log this one, they arrived back about 5 minutes after we had done the deed. Found the road to be good.TFTC Yorki & Hound.
Drove in here after visiting the Telegraph Station, and we wern't disappointed in the views at this nice clean and orderly area. Logged our find then went for a walk while Trecaz Trakkie TB dropped by for a visit. Thanks.
After lunch we headed out to the peebles for a little look around, yes not as big as the devil's marbles but just as impressive and important to the local culture. Thanks for heading me out here.
# FTF # and we're 2000km from home. Had to explain what geocaching was all about to the muggles camped right at GZ. TFTC
