Given the number of consecutive DNFs in the last 9 months, this once certainly needs checking.
There’s nothing more frustrating then walking away from a geocache and not finding it, but there’s also nothing more rewarding then spotting it whilst walking away from the cache. Spent 5 mins in totally the wrong area, and after reading the previous logs everyone had that issue. Wasn’t sure if I was looking for a Nutella size container or not. Cache in my opinion is small definitely not nano, and didn’t require endless rock turning! Thanks for all the caches in the area!!
Exploring Port Lincoln by visiting many of the caches. After reading previous logs it was a very easy find. Thanks.
Well, we were definitely running around in circles trying to locate this cache. It wasn't until I finally started reading logs for some clues, I noticed the coordinates had been changed, but not updated on the cache page. Once we had them correct, a quick find was made. TFTC
Discovering Port Lincoln cache by cache with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, and Jack.
Many and varied caches were found and this was one. Some are in good condition, some a little rusty.
A good time had by all. This one took a bit of searching - some 18 metres from the GZ coords we had.

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
I love animals too and have paid vets a fortune over the years, worth every cent too for the love and fun that animals provide [^]

Easily located!!!
This was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roaming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roaming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper231. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!

Woo hoo, we found it!
After messaging Roaming Wendy, she graciously joined us and jumped in our car in order to cache around Lincoln with us (as we'd not been having much fun with all of the DNFs).
Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places
Thanks for the cache

2nd visit here but this time I've got a few more numbers under my belt! Found with Shantel on a walk out doors for some sunshine . TFTC all good at GZ
Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass (signed as m & p), at 1620. Our third day in Port Lincoln. Today, we cached our way around the local area again. Weather further improved, with only a couple of light showers today. Somehow missed this on the first pass, so spend a while searching elsewhere before returning to the correct place and finding it. Our thanks to wheres wolly.
Found at 4:17 PM GAFF3 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M&P".
We used Roostaman's co-ords and still had a bit of a search as we were looking amongst all of the rubbish and the tall grass didn't help. Then we found that we didn't have to look in any of that stuff at all
Thanks wheres wolly.

3:46:00 PM. This took a while and by reading previous logs and finding the co-ords were out we widened our search. I gave up and was heading for the car when the better half came up with the cache near where we had parked. Signed log. Thanks wheres wolly for placing this cache.
I've met up with Triciac2 in Perth, because we are taking a 3 week driving tour to Adelaide We had a couple of fun days caching in the company of her son Brother Colin, but he has now headed back to Brisbane, and we have begun our drive east. We have travelled from Perth via Brookton, Corrigin, Hyden, Ravensthorpe, Hopetoun, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Norseman, the Nullarbor Plain, Ceduna and we have now reached Port Lincoln
I grabbed this one while we waited for a tour of the fish factory nearby. TFTC, wheres wolly.

Another perfect spring day for a drive around town while in Port Lincoln for a few days.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good quick finds.
Found this one a good 15m away with some help, not a nutella jar any more either.
I have attached better co-ords for futire finders - try .626 & .062 !
Thanks for the cache wheres wolly,

Using the refreshed coordinates I found the micro. But would love to know where the Nutella jar is that people are finding.
Thanks for the cache. Found the Nutella jar and the micro. The micro is the only one there now!
Our co-ords were way off here - perhaps our GPS is tired after so many full days of caching in a row!!
Mr Beetle made the find based on the clue while I was still walking around quite a distance away trying to get a lock on GZ.
Thanks.

Quiet here this morning. Coords seemed a bit off, 10m by our GPS. Sprinklers were on on the racecourse.
Thought it may have been lost because of recent activity at the site, But so far good; SL, TFTC
Tftc found after a bit of a scramble, and had to explain to the local gardener what we were upto
This location is becoming a harbour for rubbish which made the cache hard to spot but GeoHubby found it in the end.
The Sheoak's are rather spooky when it's quiet.
Took: Nothing
Added: A Silver Tree Charm

Geo-son scrounged all over the mound and then went elsewhere. I found this where geo-son had just finished scrounging. Geo-wife stayed in car and yelled instructions. TNLNSL
This was a fun strech of road to cache along.
Lots of variety in the caches.
Wonderful to do a group of caches that is not a power trail.

We are camping at Louth Bay & have chosen to do a day of caching in Port Lincoln.
It was a mixed day of caching, some finds & a couple of DNFs. Noticed Ministro commented on a few.
This was one we did find today.

6494. [green]I eventually pulled this one out of it's hidey hole, but not after much frustration as the GPSr wouldn't settle anywhere and the hint spots had been exhausted. But a smiley in the end.[/green]

Had a bit of trouble with this one and the clue didn't narrow it down, an eventually was misleading anyway. Found where we would have hidden it, not where whe GPS suggested. Cache creep perhaps?
Thanks wheres wolly.
Thanks wheres wolly.
found with jiddybang TFTC..! i remember having trouble finding exact location aswell
It wasn't quite where I was guessing it would be but I triumphed eventually.
No shortage of caches to do in this area.

Found during our trip to Port Lincoln for a few days in the school holidays. Thanks for the cache wheres wolly!
We found a nutella container?? Took poppers left seeds and ball. Put log book into a bag!
We attempted this one yesterday but had no luck and had a feeling that it may have been buried under grass clippings. We met up with wheres wolly later that night and asked him if we were in the right area. He said that we were and that he would check it out later on. We then had a phone call today to say that it was buried and that it had been moved slightly and kindly supplied us with the new co-ords.
Talk about fast cache maintenance. We were happy to say that the cache was found quickly and the replacement log now has our name on it
Thanks again for he cache

Read the previous logs with every one saying quick easy cache.
It wasn't for us and stretched our 5 minute time limit to about 10 as we couldn't believe we couldn't find a cache that size.
Luckily got it in the end but it wasn't easy.

Found on a mixed bag of a day caching in Port Lincoln. Someone has a big pile of rocks nearby! Thanks to wheres wolly for the cache.
A quick cache to start off our morning. More rocks but this time we must have got our mojo smoking because the cache was found in next to no time.
Normally you would think rocks are a bad thing. Of course there are always exceptions. You don't have to be Merlin to find this one. Clear skies
