Tftc, took five tries to find it, was one of our first searched caches and just now found it
Out on my new e-bike. I thought Id have a look for some Byways now that Im living in Kensington Gardens. iPhone had me looking in one place so I brought out the trusty Garmin soon found the prize behind some natural camouflage. TFTC Southern Cross Caching 20/12/2023 1:02pmFind # 2824
Walking around the area and decided to stop and sign this logbook. No problems finding the container. TFTC!
Incy wincy built a home right in front of it, so Wiggles and I were careful not to disturb him TFTC
TFTC! This one is the last for me, all 30 found! Thanks for placing these all these around Burnside, it’s certainly helped hone my stealth skills!
TFTC! Found this one harder than some of the other byways. Cords gave us a bit of a bumsteer but it was right where clue said it should be.
Another little cache to help with our streak. Not only to we have the Wheel Challenge but we are on 398 days. Thanks for the cache
We came to the area to do a Clean up Australia event and after this it was time to come and find some of the local caches. It was quite down this little laneway and with a systematic search we had the well placed container found and signed. SL TFTC
Oh yay, a BOB that I’ve somehow missed previously. Very few hiding places in this alley, and so a quick find followed. Thanks for the cache and the series Allchin.
Felt so dodgey searching this lane. Had to cut my search short as as my presence soon attracted the attention of muggle from across the road.
Today is the first day of stage 2 of Signal's Labyrinth campaign. A fair reason to find some caches.
I had an appointment in Wattle Park this afternoon, and I tried some caches near that area after the appointment.
This cache has been found nice and easy. No need to reveal the hint.
Cache container is in fair condition. Signed the log book, and put it back.
Thanks for the "Byways of Burnside" cache series, Allchin.

Quick stop here this morning, cache was easily found and is all good
This morning sucked out for a few caches around the eastern suburbs before the crowds had woken up. Total of 22 finds for the morning
Thanks for the cache

Took us longer than I’d like to admit...but at last, there it was. An indecisive GPS threw our noses for nearly long enough to register a DNF; alas soon enough it showed. Thanks for the cache and the hike, these byways will soon make me a much fitter cacher!
Quick easy one

Whilst geocaching solo after work this evening, I drove past this location, and decided to perform a search here. These byway alleys are always interesting, especially the more hidden ones like this one. There was a nice huntsman along the fence that was keeping me company during my searching.
This geocaching also took a while to locate, and I actually thought it was missing. I was about to log a DNF when I had one final search, and eventually uncovered the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Allchin for the cache placement, and Southern Cross Caching for its ongoing maintenance.

With restrictions about to ease even further, I think we can safely enable our caches for people to start finding again. Please remember to practice safe hygiene measures while out an about, remain safe and most importantly, have fun.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello everyone, in these terrible times and with the current government directive for people to stay at home unless it’s essential. We’ve made a decision to take our caches off-line to stop temptation and encourage people to stay home. If this goes longer than the allowable 2 weeks period and geocaching hq decide to archive them, then so be it. But let’s hope this is over as soon as possible with as little damage as possible, so we can all get on with our lives this great game in the conditions we are accustomed to.
Cheers and stay safe and healthy,
Shane and Josie

On each visit to Adelaide we have managed to find at least one of the caches in the "Byways of Burnside" series. Today we had two more on our list but became aware that these were the last two active caches in the series that we had yet to find. The hint and a common style of hide in this series led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Allchin for the initial placement and to those who now maintain the caches.
Today I was supposed to be doing a CP day and placing a couple of caches on the WH trail and a Geopets cache. Plans changed when I remembered that I hadn't set the timers on a piece of equipment at the factory in Gepps Cross that was needed at 7am for production tomorrow.
So after Geohusband and hound chauffered me to Penfolds (where we had celebrated our birthdays last night) to collect my car. They helped me do 3 caches including converting a dnf before they headed off for their walk at Sturt Gorge. Rex was really enjoying the caching and wanted to come with me but persuaded him to go to the Gorge instead.
Ended up converting 3 previous dnfs, collecting 5 multis and 2 puzzle finals. All up 13 caches were found and 4 WP visited for Freddo's frequent flier mach 2 cache. Great afternoon out and timers set at the factory, so happy days.
This was our first find. Geohound loved this little laneway and we made a quick find, sign and replace. TFTC Allchin we still seem to have plenty to go of this series, its great!

Quick maintenance check on some Byways today. New magnets now in place for this one, container good and log book was still fine, dry with plenty of space.

(Sun 24 June 2018 about 15:30) I don't know why my previous search DNF didn't show so this one today will cover for that attempt aswell. This is the 2nd time I have been here with roving fingers in just about all the spots on both fences lol and still no booty. Extremely nervous each time as spots like these try my nerves ha ha. Still no excuse, it wasn't found. I will return one day with a previous finder maybe.
Thanks for the challenge anyway, Southern Cross Caching

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Out on a lunchtime caching run and decided to head to this part of town for some quick finds. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ and made a quick find. Sign log and replace. was worried by the muggle noise over the fence but with very quiet maneuvers got out without any problems. Gratias pro cache
Found at 1220hrs, our 2nd find on our morning caching run. Easy find, thanks Allchin.

Out with Mattycat for another night caching run in the city, another one off the list only four or five to go to complete these great little byways TFTC Allchin
I have tried to find this cache before !!
Last time there were building muggles close to GZ
Today the byway was clear and the cache was an easy find (without the clue)
I did have to push the bike up the hill though
