TFTC!Enjoyed the walk out here, bit over 3km round trip.Contemplated continuing on to the multi but the rain clouds looked ominous.Signed the log, dropped a TB and returned cache.Day 14 of current caching streak
My wander continues in this part of the park.In total I picked up 4 caches and it took about 40 minutes in total.A nice day for a walk in pleasant scrub.TFTC
Headed South from Adelaide this morning to continue picking up caches in the general Monarto South area.Cache quickly found and log stampedTFTC
A great day for a walk after enjoying the one in Ferris the other day so much I figured I would come do this one and it did not disapoint thankyou
Wow what a walk. Definitely helped being a cool winter's day. Plenty of kangaroos of all sizes out and about. TFTC CPWanderer and Bindi the Geopup.
Out for an arvo walk today.sun is shining and a beautiful day. A nice solid cache that I am sure will last the test of time. Cache and contents are all good. I may have also forgot about the mozzies in this area when you stop. Well I am about 1/2 way so I might as well head on to the heart of darkness multi... thanks for the cache CP
Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness like hiking and kayaking still being promoted, jesswrigley and I headed to Monarto Conservation Park for a long morning walk, followed by some Murray kayaking in Murray Bridge. I expected this park to be quite dry and likely scrubland, and sure enough, it was an area to hike in that should be done in cooler weather due to limited shadey areas. There were many small pockets around Murray Bridge to explore, and the first waypoint of Wanderer's Heart(of darkness) multi-cache appeared to be a good target (saving the final part of that walk for another day). A few kangaroos were seen here, before heading to Murray Bridge for a bakery lunch. The kayak session on Easter Monday was enjoyable, with a few people relaxing around the boat ramp, but otherwise not many people on the water. With that adventure completed, we headed home quite tired.
It is interesting how little these caches get visited in this park. It looks like a recent geocaching visitor only a month ago, but otherwise, the previous visits were one every 1-2 years? This area was as good of an idea as any other, although honestly, attempting this visit in winter would be better. We did choose a colder, cloudier day, but the long hike all the way to Wanderer's Heart definitely killed us, and we stopped off here to find this cache in this *Wanderer* series. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, after spending a few minutes looking for it. Thanks CPwanderer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
On our return back to the car park, we attempted to go via the suggested orienteering waypoint at S 35° 10.166' E 139° 06.916', but we arrived there to not see anything? Just a small rock pile area and a few trees? Maybe whatever was there previously has been removed?

A welcome distraction with geokids StunkyPanda2006 & gnomeo2007 - as we made our way to our real goal - the final coordinates for the 'Heart of Darkness'. TFTC CPW!.
A day out caching all by myself.
Did some wandering, not all of us wanderers are lost
Was a pleasant walk in here and by following the coords to the orienteering spot and beyond
I found a shy little echidna digging in the sand. #donttellAudra
Seems about 21 months almost since the last log.
Why don't people come out to these caches - they're what it's all about!!!
Thanks for this cache CPwanderer and all thes others you've placed for us.

Spent the day caching with earthlight and as we slowly make our way to CPs other place event we grabbed some caches along the way, as one does lol, a quick and enjoyable find after quite a long Wander through the scrub, we discovered today that you are fairly fine until you stop, and thats when a thousand mosquitos appear from no where lol. TFTC
Found with 3LG as we cached our way to Murray Bridge to attend an event.
Sighted trackable as 3LG removed to continue it's journey.
TFTC and the great walk.

There I was sitting at home sipping my morning cuppa when the notifications came through. Not one but three new caches were just published. Whilst I gave clare007 a call to see if she was free I started to download a new pocket query for the area. Not free. Always like company for caching adventures, - never-mind. GPS loaded I walked out the door into a rainy morning. U-turn back inside to collect spray jacket. Into geomobile and down freeway to the parking spot. No cars. Good sign. [^]
Collected two of the three FTF's on offer and ran into ArgentRandall who had collected the third.
I have always been meaning to call in and get this cache but somehow I never had. Having already found three in the same park this morning meant I only had a further 1200 metres to walk. The clouds were coming over but that rain from home had't caught up with me yet so off I went. 1200 metres would be as the crow flies. I support the Crows but I am not one and took the circuitous fire-track around the perimeter. More like 2 kms that way. Some farmer put a damn paddock right smack in the way of the shortest route. [:o] No let me think. The C/O put the cache right around the other side of the paddock making you walk further. Sneaky.
So on I trudged before making a detour into the scrub where I was rewarded with a cache in very good condition. Thanks CP for another wander. Dropped of a TB. Then started the long wander back to the car and right on cue, the rain caught up with me. Glad I had the rain jacket on.

These caches have been burning a hole on our to do list for way to long so today was earmarked for it. We were extremely grateful that the weather was much kinder than yesterday, we could not picture being here with wind like that. The walk to GZ was relaxing and we saw kangaroos and sheep and heard birds. All in all a great time was had. SL TFTC
After completing some night multi caches, we decided to keep on caching and find a few caches :c) A nice evening walk into this one, spotting some interesting nocturnal birdlife along the way. TFTC!!
Found during a very enjoyable wander through Monarto Conservation Park on my way to retrieving the clue to a darkened heart. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer!
We are currently staying in Murray Bridge for a few weeks enjoying the sights and finding some caches. We both love bushwalking and finding a cache (or two) while hiking is always a bonus. We noticed the CO's hides in Monarto and Ferries McDonald Conservation Parks so wanted to give them a try. We also wanted a reasonably cool day to deter snakes and today seemed like a good opportunity.
We waited for the morning showers to clear, packed some lunch and were on our way. We hoped to at least achieve finding WP1 for 'Wanderer's Heart'. A nice cool breeze and complete cloud cover kept us very comfortable and on the way to the first stage of the nearby multi we picked this one up. The walk was easy and pleasant following the fence-line and checking out the nearby crops. As expected all was in good condition with the cache.
Surprisingly during our day we saw no wildlife at all except birds....not even a lizard but we were very glad not to have seen any snakes. I had seen a recent Facebook post from the CO stating that he had recently seen two red bellied blacks and a large brown snake in a similar area...I had conveniently kept that info from geohubby
Many thanks for the hide and the great walk CPwanderer...we thoroughly enjoyed it[^][^][^]

This has been on the must-do list for a while and today was the day.
It started off being very windy and cold with the threat of rain. It finished being very windy and hot by the time we returned via Wanderer's Heart.
Saw a number of shinglebacks/sleepies/stumpies, but fortunately none of the legless, slithering things.
Thanks CPwanderer, another great cache.

Out and about on this pleasant spring day, and went for a wildflower viewing walk to this cache. I followed the boundary track to the cache, found the cache in good condition then returned to the car park in a more linear direction following my GPS thru the bush. I saw more wildflowers on the way back. Took a TB. TFTC CPWanderer.
A very nice day for a wander to grab this one that I had passed up on previous visits here.
Plenty of wildlife and crawlies too.
Found cache about 8m from where GPSr wanted us but was in the obvious spot.
TNLNSL
Thanks for the walk CP

Drove around to find this one and it was a little difficult to find at first but zeroed in and signed the log.
I was on my own so nothing to stop me from taking a short detour. A nice stroll.
A bit hot. So Ill leave the multi for a cooler day.

What A Hike, Just got back to the carpark on dusk!!!! On an evening hunt with The St Clair Clan, Coleman.Crew and Talbie TFTC
Once again I set fourth on a Wanderer (insert suitable number) quest. Once again it was raining. In February in South Australia. Inconceivable. Unbelievable. Unheard of. Not mentioned in history. So I put on a rain jacket and headed to GZ. Passed a couple of mobs of big roos. Lots of birds calling cheep.cheep.cheep.cheep in the trees. Success. Lovely stroll.
After finding WP1 for WHoD, we found our way to the middle of the park for this one . Certainly getting our exercise today and saw one of the biggest 'roos ever on our way !
This is an unloved cache . FTF (for 2011) .
Took yoyo. Left teddy magnet. SL.
Thanks again CPWanderer.

A pleasant walk on a beautiful day in a park not far from Monarto. Took a sticker and left a coin. Tftc.
Raining in the hills so headed east to where I knew it would be dry. Very pleasant here today with lots of birds singing their songs making for a very pleasant walk to GZ. Nice size cache making for an easy find. TFTC
Out for a nice walk in the park on a mild winter afternoon. The bush was busy with birds, fungi and spiders. It was a bit early for the wildflowers yet, but there were some lovely ones out already. We enjoyed the stroll, including the bush bashing on way back to the carpark. TFTC.
Having just finished the other two Wanderer caches just south of here, I really wasn’t feeling like another big walk as the day was fast receding and I still had 5 or 6 caches on my agenda to do.
Arriving at the car park, I was dismayed to see the barrier across the road that I had planned to drive up . Oh well, one last stroll for the day; but I did cheat a bit though, opting to bee-line it across the paddock rather than go the long way following the boundary fence.
Another nice sized, well stocked cache to finish off the day. By this time, I had run out of pathtags and other swaps, so TNLN. Thanks for a great series CPWanderer. I had intended to finish it off today, but the daylight left early behind clouds and on the way to Wanderer FOUR, it generally turned sour with plummeting temperatures and rain. Off home I go and will have to finish it another day . Cheers .

Great walk today. I like the idea that these are not just at the entrances and not just on a path. A little bit more effort than the average is required.

Just to let one one and all know that Bronsen and Mooshell_22 were the team to first find all six caches in the Wanderer series and supply me with the hidden codes. A very impressive effort considering they did all six of these bushwalking caches OVERNIGHT on the first night of their release. Equal second went to Flipper&Co, Froghoppin and drift Kid. They did all caches over the weekend in the cold and rain..... WELL DONE!!!!!! No one has yet claimed third spot!
This one was much easier to do, a huge path has been cut presumably to stop fires from reaching farm land or the bush. Just followed the path all the way and then found the cache without too much trouble... I found that conifer type trees are much better at sheltering you from the driving rain rather than gum trees

The second of three Wanderer caches for the day, having found two yesterday. Clear skies at home in Tea Tree Gully, but pouring by the time I got here. I now have a white car - used to be silver!! And it's not easy walking through the bush with an open brollie. That's what I got for choosing a direct path to the cache. Took the long way back, but was "shadowed" by a local farmer. Then met up with Dave from Nowhere2bseen at the carpark. I thought I was the only nut out today in the rain! Took screwdriver set, left a handful of rivets and a car. TFTC.
