Spent the weekend camping at Ponderosa with friends. Beautiful day for a run with a Kettle to find a few caches. TFTC
Nice easy find on a rainy cold day. Suprisingly a lot of people still out and about tftc
Passed an emu on the way in. Also note the abundance of sundew-esque plants around GZ (Drosera).
Really enjoying the Wanderer series, three more to go. TFTC.

Found the right spot to park and walk in yesterday,
so came back again with Purrfect Di after work to find a couple more.
Great place for a walk, kangaroos everywhere and some birdlife too!
One roo jumped up at us just before reaching the cache
If you hunt really carefuly there may be echidnas, saw some diggings.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache CPwanderer

Coming home from a camp at Mt Crawford gave us time for a couple of caches to make sure all the family is exhausted enough to sleep tonight. TFTC
While the boys were riding their bikes in the KTM trail ride around the forest, i amused myself caching, thanks.
Found while out hunting smilies in the Mount Pleasant area.
After 40 finds in just over it's first five years, it's been a drought on finds for well over two years until today, hopefully the first of many more.
Container is showing some heat damage but is still viable.
Have now found the three up this way, will need to make my way south and find the three in CPwanderland.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer

Another great spot for a wander. This brings the tally to 5 of the 6 Wanderers series, and the 2nd one today! :
The walk didn't disappoint with the flora and fauna abundant.

Well at 10am I set out for a bike ride to get some caches. I thought I'd be really quick but it turned into 24km, 2 hours and a ride up Mt Pleasant!
Thanks for the adventure CPwanderer

We parked the car near the "old gnarly" geocache and took a late afternoon walk with Geo-daughter riding her bike on the very soggy track having fun avoiding puddles and trying to work out how to cross the streams that were flowing over the road (I reckon they have had a bit of rain up this area lately). A few kangaroos spotted on the way and lots of frogs singing their chorus in the creeks and larger puddles. Found an easy path into GZ thankfully and had the cache in hand pretty quickly. The cache was dry and in good condition. We were hoping to get the nearby "Don't forget your keys" but alas we were running out of sunlight so will have to come back this way another day. Tnlnsl TFTC and a lovely stroll
Brought the pushies out to the forest to find a few caches and do a bit of exploring.Cheers for bringing us out here.TFTC
Great spot for a hide. Lucky I still had my long pants on while getting to this one.
Plenty of roos and emus in the area.
Happy Geocaching Easter.

Nice to find the large and robust cache. My first find of your series. I will put in on my list to find the rest. Dropped TB.

Beautiful day for a walk. Mrs JS lost her direction in the scrub but Mr JS has an unfaltering sense of direction & got her back safely. Took Yoyo & Ace TB to advance its journey. TFTC SL
Popped across from Old Gnarly and fought a bit through the bush. There are some lovely wild flowers out this time of year. Clear skies from TeamAstro.
First of this series that has not got me soaking wet. Interesting stroll with many roos around this afternoon. The final 100m is the best bit after a lot of boring pines. The final 5m is hard yakka.
Came over from 'Old Gnarly' and could have driven in through the open gate, but there was a horse event using the trails, so made the pleasant walk to GZ [^].
Quickly located after navigating the maze of foliage on the way [:o)].
Took dinosaur. Left fat man toy and 'Ace' GC. SL.
Thanks CPWanderer.

Another orienteer who took advantage of the access we were privileged to have today to make this a drive by.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.
We helped to pick up controls after the orienteering today and happened to be really close to this cache so we just couldn't resist. Nice spot.TNLNTFTC
Finally got around to picking this one up - it's been on our radar for some time. Found with our friends while on a weekend camping trip in the forest. TFTC
Our last find for the day and another that the geomutt really loved. We parked up on Elliot boundary road and took the direct route in along the park boundary with the pines to the left and the farm to the right. After finding the cache, we came back through the pine forest track that runs up parallel to that boundary track couple of hundred meters in which was a great track that we loved walking up.

(Formerly DavMal60) Lovely morning for a walk to GZ. Extremely quiet with only the occasional magpie singing and 1 Kookaburra was all I saw on the way in. Found the cache OK and then on leaving had almost reached the track when not 2 metres in front of me in a small clearing was a Red Bellied black snake not interested in moving. Not being afraid of snakes, and the fact that he would be very slow in the cool of the morning, I observed him for a minute or so. I'm sure he had just consumed breakfast as he was in no hurry to move and was very fat. He was a good 4ft in length as well (1+m) After a minute or so I started to move on, and it was only then that he slowly moved into the undergrowth. After seeing nothing on the way in, it was great to observe these wonderful creatures. It made the trip. Thanks for another one of your great caches. I have now completed the Wanderer series. TFTC CPwanderer
This is one of a few caches we did in this locality. A nice day for what proved to be a long walk. Thanks CPWanderer
This was fantastic. I loved it.
There seemed to be some sort of thing happening today with all these red arrows set up about halfway along the track.
Like I said before Love it.

It was a lovely day for caching, although the first cache was a DNF and is now offline, we had already walked for over 2 hours with nothing to show for it. Team707 comprised of Mum, Barney the giant dog and the 3 geokids plus Aussie Mary was along for the hike. Aussie Mark was off gliding.... Well, after a DNF, we decided the kids needed a guaranteed find so it was off to do a CPwanderer cache nearby, some walking involved but we could do that. Well, 1 geokid had a red belly black snake rear up at him, scary, but first snake Aussie Mary had seen while caching, she assured the geokid. 200 metres along, and geokid 2 and 3 plus Team707 Mum saw a brown snake slide off into the scrub, that makes second encounter with snake. As we reached 100m from GZ it was time to leave the track, Team707 Mum asked who was coming with her to the cache, not one geokid said yes, so Aussie Mary had to stay with at least 2 geokids and Barney the dog. That left eldest geokid and most experienced cacher an unwilling helper to find the cache. They headed off marching with big vibrating steps towards GZ. Time passed and they returned, heads down and looking a little stunned. The third snake, a brown one, had made its appearance at GZ. Suffice to say the log was not signed however CPwanderer has kindly allowed us to claim a smiley as he did feel tackling a third snake just to sign the log was inappropriate.
It was a lovely day for caching. Unfortunately it was also a lovely day for snakes. Half way to the cache the youngest geokid had a black snake rear up at him. 200 metres later a brown snake slid off the path, and asent to climb into the bushes around the actual cache, another brown snake slid just where we needed to go- into the cache site! Needless to say we didn't sign the log, but CPWanderer has kindly given us permission to claim a find. TFTC
Found on a walk from Cromers to Mt Pleasant. Spring flowers in bloom after recent rain, found some spider orchids near cache.
First of the series for us. Found while on an extended walking tour through the area. TFTC.
The gate that accessed the road to the cache was the staging area to some big mountain bike rally, and although there were dozens of people around, they provided absolutely no hindrance to our quest.
The day was a beautiful winter’s one and we thoroughly enjoyed the 3.5k round trip to pick up this one. Another nice bush walk and the second in the series for us. I’m looking forward now to doing the rest. Thanks for the cache CP Wanderer. I took nothing, but put in a pathtag. Cheers .

After a lovely lunch at the Mt Pleasant Bakery we decided it was time to walk it off. We parked at Gate CR9 (34 45.212 139 01.369) and walked along the edge of the forest until we met up with the Mt Pleasant Summit Trail. Saw some lovely fungus samples in amongst the forest. They never fail to amaze us with their beauty and variety of colours. Also lots of beautiful blue wrens hopping about in the bushes. We saw several bike riders travelling along a marked path in the forest - not sure whether they were anything to do with the Scout's Rally, but what a lovely location to ride a bike. Looked for native orchids on the ground near GZ but didn't find any in flower. We continued on a little further before taking a loop and returning the way we came. Thanks for a lovely stroll.
Had to deliver some equipment for rally testing in the morning with firesafe so we nearly made it a drive by with only under 100m to walk we soon had the cache in hand. We will have rally cars practicing within 1km of here in the

Morning
Was up in the area doing some preparation work for the Scouts Rally SA but still managed to grab some caches as well.
It was dark and we headed in to the forest after setting up tomorrows test area at the nearby Campground - it is good when you have the key.
Found our way and out again OK. TFTC.

Hi guys, Thank you for your acknowledgment of our achievement. Not the first time doing a all night cache hunt. Myself i prefer the challenge of night caching. A huge thank you to CPwanderer for doing a great series. Thank you Chris. Thank you to Drift Kid, Froghoppin and Flipper& Co ( Mark & Gayle) for your comments. Congratulations on the silver prize. Cache four took a while to do but once we found the correct track it was easy to get to. As you know we all probably walked 18km or more. What an effort. Its amazing the amount of animals around at night and yes you do get to see them up close. And a huge thank you to Mooshell for keeping up to my pace. Cheers and hope to catch up with you soon. Bronsen.
Just a note to let one and all know that Bronsen and Mooshell_22 were the first to find all six of the wanderer caches and report the hidden codes to me!!!! An impressive effort as they did all six OVERNIGHT on the first evening of their release!!! Thats over 18km of night bushwalking. Second to find all six was shared by Flipper&Co, Froghoppin and Drift Kid, doing all six in the wind and rain over the weekend WELL DONE!!! No one has claimed third as yet.
TEAM "A" FROGHOPPIN and DRIFTKID at 12-45.
Well last one on the list,
Arrived at a carpark, and proceeded to walk the 1.7 klm to the final cache in this series.
as we walked up and down the track, we reflected on the past 2 days and the sights that we have seen whilst walking the 18 klms or so.
I have been to places that I never knew where there, seen some beautiful Kangaroos out in the wild (spotted 5 all looking at us at the last cache) just wished that I had a camera with me.
wondered on just HOW one team have the urge to tackle this series AT NIGHT !!! we take our hat off to them, well done not only did they do it at night, but completed the entire series in one go, I, no, WE take our hats off to you.
Finally arrived at GZ just as the drizzle came in again, We were stunned to see that we were able to claim the joint SILVER on this one. WOO HOO
quickly signed the log, left some of our flipper tags for the next person.
Once again, we headed back to the car, drizzle slowly went away.
We then drove to the nearest pub for a nice refreshing beer ( PALE ALE)
Once again, thanks for this series, bring on the next one.
All codes duly sent of to the owner and we'll wait to see how we went ( fingers Crossed)
CHEERS FROM, Mark/Gayle, Wayne, Allison and Shaun

1st to find shared with Bronsen. Just starting to drizzle a bit on our way back. Forgot to take a way point when we left the track. Luckily we just followed old fence remains. Took 1st to find prize. Had nothing to place in cache as we left goodies at home. A lot of prickly bushes. TFTC. LN. SL.
