I'm sure this one isn't there - had a good look today, on top of my previous DNF.
Found on a quick local raid of Jamestown while travelling through to pick up a new spray unit to lug all the way interstate. The cache was easy enough, but the friday afternoon traffic and pedestrians were the problem! Found after timing my assault and scribbling our name in the logbook. TFTC freddo
found this one between may and april. was stealth requried at the time as school had just gotten out and the street was alive with school kids. left pathtag that team robbins took. cant beleive i didnt do this one as part of the jjj
Well the Jamestown Table Tennis Comp is done & dusted for another year time to head south & a little closer to home & find somewhere to camp the night & maybe even pick up a cache or two along the way

(So this is our 44190th total find.)
Our GPS said 457 metres.
Took: Nothing
Left: Left a toy lizard
Thanks Freddo for the hunt today.

Sunday morning is a quiet time to get this one, before mugglers get out of bed...
We took the dog for her morning walk and soon found the cache.

Walked down to this one from the caravan park while staying there, it was sunny but quite cold, then went and looked at the old restored cars at the oval. TFTC
Found it No. 5087 ... had to pick our moment ... took pathtag and LN ... TFTC Freddo
Found after careful use of the camera .. hopefully, our deception worked and nobody took any notice.

Took a few minutes, Easter Monday there were lots and lots of muggles around. Camera makes a good disguise but you can only fain interest for so long. SLTN TFTC

Found with lapeelu on the way back from the Bendleby Ranges. Had to wait for some muggles to move on, but found it easy enough. TNLNSL. Thanks Freddo for the cache.
A quick find after netball training, as it was much colder here than in Kadina, I believe the altitude is higher......

A quick find while doing a farmer's shopping run - shearing gear, ammunition etc. TFTC
Not often you get to park in the middle of a busy street to find a cache!
Thanks Freddo.
Thanks Freddo.
a nice quick find, just had to be wary of the morning-after muggles.

Third attempt at logging note - my internet keeps dying. Visiting Mrs Poly.
Since I drive past this cache nearly every week-day, I thought this cache would be good to mark Mrs. Poly goes for gold!'s travels!
Since I will be driving down to Adelaide tonight with Mrs Poly, and back to Jamestown on Wednesday or Thursday, and then back to Adelaide on Friday, Mrs Poly may be able to finisht he 10,000km in the next week or so!
Even though Mr Poly has already racked up the miles, he hasn't crossed the finish line! 'Slow and steady' could yet beat 'quick and in France'!

Cut lunch? Hell yeah... You need dinner as well to cross the road here
Found the cache in the rain with some locals milling about, I don't think we were sprung though
This was our last cache for a very memorable trip to the Flinders Ranges... As for the altitude? Oops... Forgot to look at that bit

Rain and traffic, but we still managed to find the cache. Such a busy intersection, but loved the hide, and finding it almost at peak hour. TFTC
WanderingAus wandered by with the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) on day 138 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip. The WanderingMrs had determined through the wonders of the Information Superhighway that there was over a week of line dancing at the Wentworth Services Club, so after a couple of cold, wet and windy days in Horsham, and a night in Ouyen, we made our way to Curlwaa and booked in for five nights.
Once the line dancing competition was over the WanderingMrs was ready to head for home. After a night in Waikiri we headed for Jamestown, and after grumbles from the WanderingMrs the day before, I decided not to hunt any caches on the way.
After setting the caravan up in the Jamestown Caravan Park, I went for a walk, and made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find of this cache.
My find No 4359, TNLNSL.

Easy to find but lots of Muggles around so needed to wait til they went away.
Whoo hoo - our 200th find!! Have enjoyed Jamestown, a great little country town, excellent supermarket and servo. Thanks Freddo. TN left a dolphin fridge magnet.
Found it on the way home with geo-wife from the Wilpena region. Thanks Freddo.
We have been coming to the Jamestown Highlands for 16 years in a row now on the first weekend of July. But since we have only been caching for about 8 months we never knew about the JLW event here last year and about all these caches hidden here. This was the first cache we found on the Jamestown Smorgasboard.
Btw our GPS told us we were at 444m altitude

Found no worries, bit hard to look like doing nothing when sitting in middle of lawn
An interesting spot for a cache - certainly felt exposed here! But most people probably too busy with their own business to worry about me. My GPS had elevation at 460m. A few GCs had a short visit. Thanks Freddo for a nice sized cache on a sign - expeced a micro but should have known better460M.
Another glorious day today with beautiful sunny and warm weather...Mr Bushies2 found it but the magnet was too strong! No muggles around however one muggle was sitting outside the pub nearby but she didn't take any notice of us. Thanks Freddo.
Loved your comment about crossing the road ! Totally agree, but it also addresses those parking problems so often talked about in main streets of other towns [^].
Didn't take a reading at GZ, but referred to our track log at home, where our GPS said the elevation was 458 metres [8] (had to chuckle at GPS's comment) .
Had trouble removing the cache (that's a strong magnet) [:o)]! Eventually got there. TNLNSL.
Thanks Freddo the (Easter) Chocolate Frog.

17th find on our camping adventure up north.
Clever hide in a busy location.
TNLN. Thanks.

Well, my GPSr had about 40-50m above this spot- strugged a little to get this out but I got there. TFTC!
In Jamestown for the Bundaleer Forest Festival with James Morrison - great chance to grab a few caches while the town was swarming with muggles who ignored us. Nice quick find. Thanks Freddo!
Jim was the lucky one to have a spider run up his arm. Cheers and thanks for the cache
Returning as promised with LOOT! Jag the getaway car has nicked off for a trip under (or beyond) the radar. Surely no one will find him out here. Oh well, if he does get found, he will just have to make it as far as possible on his next jaunt!
Found on a caching trip north to get our 250th.
Waited for a break in the steady stream of traffic and was a quick find.
TFTC!

I didn't realise this had become a permanent during the Jolly Jamestown weekend. I knew where it was before I got there but to be sure I took the GPS to confirm 452 metres AMSL. Cheers
Found on way back from trip up to Birdsville. Last find before making a beeline for home. TFTC.
Camera and kids was the only way this one was getting done today. Lots of muggles about to make it interesting.

Quick easy find, dropped in visiting, TB'S and Geo Coins, waypoint use.. A camera is useful at this location, being a tourist..TFTHSL
A surprisingly quick find!
Once I'd spotted it, I could make a grab for it while keeping my eye on approaching traffic, which seemed to be coming from everywhere.
Our GPS 60 said 461 meters, but what would one of those things know?
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog.

As I was collecting rubbish in this area the locals had long stopped giving me funny looks which enabled me to locate, log and return this cache without suspicion.
Years ago I came up here for work. No caches then but loads now, just no time to find them all today.
Thanks Freddo

Probably need a higher difficulty for this one. There are muggles everywhere!!!
Got the find ok, putting it back was an issue because of all the cars!
Come on people I had caching to do!!!
Cheers!!

Bit tricky picking this one up when the locals over the road are outside having a few beers.TFTC
Actually found this one on 13th June at JJJ Long Weekend event. Went back today to make sure we had actually signed the log book. Our Garmin Nuvi 500 said 451 metres at ground level.
Is the height to be measured from ground level or the cache postion, that is the question.
My GPSr was reading 460m elevation, but the way it has been behaving today it may well have been reading 46,000m!
Cache was safely replaced after the log was duely signed. I'm wondering what the strike rate will be now that the JJJ W/E has passed this lovely town by.
Thanks Freddo.

This one pondered us a question as being the first to sign but not the first to find, technically does that make us first to find . As I have see in many logs no sign no find? anyway it was a great hide in a great town on a great weekend. TFTCSL
P.S FTF - we will take it then

Found this tricky little sucker during the JJJ long weekend. Our GPS said 455 metres. Maybe the area has changed since the sign was made. Thanks for showing us this interesting fact.
Found during the JJJ LWE event our elevation was on the answer sheet, unfortunately our memory is not not good, but an interesting question TFTC
Unfortunately Tom did not have the answer to this question. Of course we used Magellans to get this one - Astrofun used 2 superior Magellan units that differed by only 2m here (453m from memory). Throughout the JJJ day, we both moved in to find caches quickly. None of this it's here and a Garmin user saying it's 10m away over here stuff. Beautiful consistency. Quick finds... Clear skies too and my thanx to another team here (who were you guys??) that handed me the real log book for a "real cache". [^]
Found during the event, from memory the height was 455 m on my Garmin GPSMAP 76CX. TFTC
Can't remember what our GPSr said, but remember it was different from what was on the sign.
We had our reading which was similar on both the Dakota and Oregon. Another team had 5m difference so we were all pretty happy. There was one team though who had over 40m less than us and closer to the sign height so maybe they had an off day as well.

Found while running around this great town, packed lunch and water bottle for the hike to this one . Thanks Freddo for the cache.
Found during June event. Met up with Tiedye smileys for the umpteenth time in the day. Tried to hail Hurtle driving down the road with a TB stuck to the car but he didn't stop.
Thanks Freddo
Thanks Freddo
Found while competing in the Jolly Jamestown long weekend event. These guys must have used a shonky altimeter. Or did they just round down to the nearest 100 m?
TNLN - Thanks Freddo!
TNLN - Thanks Freddo!
Found this twice, during the JJJ Event weekend. Sorry, I didnt see the question until 220km away....
Thanks
Thanks
I signed the log with shonky about 1 minute after Astro - Loved this Hide - glad it's staying put ! Thanks [^]
closest cache to shonky central abode for JJJ, otherwise known as the Jamestown Hotel!
Found while out doing the JJJ town quiz - "hey there is a log book here Dad" - cool TFTC
Found during the June Long weekend jaunt through the town.
A headed out before the Saturday briefing and completed half of the quiz on foot. She took a reading, but then later in the day realised that the trusty Oregon must have been playing tricks, as it was about 50m difference from what others were getting.
We returned took another reading, and agreed with everyone else!
