As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Anything happening with this cache, hasn't been found in almost a year. Can CO confirm if it is there or not?
This cache formed part of a joint attack on the Hobsonville area by KiwifruitsNZ, Vamber and alpenmilch80.
Stopped for lunch at the marina and tried to secure this one.
Failed but suspect that it is missing due to a few DNFs.

We went down and had a good look, but did not find it. We suspect it is no longer there, but TFTC.
Sorry, it was actually sometime back in April that I visited. One of those very windy days after the rain. Had a good search with no luck.
If it had been very close to the drain thingy it would have got rather wet - there was an inch of water over the top of the scoria rocks.
If it had been very close to the drain thingy it would have got rather wet - there was an inch of water over the top of the scoria rocks.
I searched and searched in front of the drain thingie, and all the way around it to no avail. Unless its been hidden in some other area nearby, it aint there anymore. I'll put this one one my watch list and see if perhaps someone else has more luck.
I reached GZ to find a muggle and his dog sat nearby. I decided to grab the other seat and spent a good 10-15 minutes admiring the view before he finally packed up and got into his car. I checked a spot based on the hint and then realised that my coords were 10ft off so moved to correct this and spotted the real item mentioned in the hint and the cache was quickly located. TFTC
Found (thanks to the hint!).
The logsheet is soaked through due to water in the bag - have taken it home to dry out, and will return it tomorrow in a new bag.

Got this one on the way further round west harbour. A very nice easy one once we read the hint and found what it was referring to.
We were uite relieved that when we found the cache we were out of sight of what looked like the local 15 year old hoons gathering round the corner... and we had a pretty sweet as mark here too... we probably weren't even meant to park there, but we were in and out quicker than anyone could wonder! Hehehe.

Quick park where we were not meant to and then a dash for the cache to avoid attracting the attention of some locals we could hear but not see. TFTC!!!
Great placement, saw some boaties walk right past - did not see me.
A boat also being launched at the same time
Thx ftc

It is time to visit those unfounds in the Hobsonville to Te Atatu area this morning. I had to wait for a couple of muggles to disappear before venturing to the GZ. The cache was half full of water due to the placement of the cache. Every time it rains the cache will get water in it.
Cheers for the cache.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
A nice quick find after work, thought we would have to give it a miss due to 2 carloads of youths in the carpark, but luckily there was a truck parked between them and the cache! TFTC!

Nicely hidden. Good hint. The cache was quite wet inside and the log has turned to mush and is unusable. I dried the cache and put in a temporary log sheet and new waterproof bag, so should be o.k. for a wee while. TFTC.
found it on the way home from "coming from the sea" a 3 caches coastal caches taken by kayak on a sunny day - couldn't sign what was left of the log because its wet as... and falling apart..
sorry to say it was halve full of water so the log sheet is just busy falling to bits.. emptied out but didnt have any paper sorry..
Finally found this.. On early morning hunt it has been on the list for awhile

Great little spot - waited till night, but was still one car and trailer in the park...but were more interested in retrieving boat than us. Easy find, little damp inside the cache, so might want to dry it out sometime (we had to go quickly so left it). Found PhiChaKa travelbug here - moving him off to a new home closer to his destination!
Nice start to this network of walks - TFTC
Good clue and easy place to drop out of sight

Found with the boys from the fire station. Im sure the sight of four firemen tearing around in the bushes must have been quite a sight.
Replaced with a 400ml snap lock container so there is now room for trackables. Thanks to the Furbies for adding a replacement log in there for me
Had to spend a few minutes admiring the boat launching ramp activities and swimmers while I waited for a man to finish using the cache site as a changing room. Then an easy find. Thanks for bringing me to this marina which I had been hoping to visit for some time.
Cache was very wet and Log book was unusable,
We dried cache container added new Temp logbook and bag, sealed old log in separate bag and added silica.
Might need a clean up.

Our first cache of the day on our mission! Log very water logged but luckily Furbies was able to clean it up a bit. TFTC
Found this one quickly, Log very wet, Furbies had his caching kit to help dry this out
First find of the day. Cache was full of water and logbook saturated, luckily Furbies had his trusty geocaching repair kit and we were able to help clean it out a bit. Might help to make it a 'raincoat' of some sort or to place the existing cache into another container to help protect it a bit more from the weather.
Nice quick find . Didn't sign as is very wet and in need of repair or new container but tftc
I spent ages trying to find this one but to no avail. There were lots of muggles interrupting my search so I also had chance to enjoy the view.
Our first Cache .. After a failed first look with google maps needed to go back (out a metre and a half) and look at the hints and decipher the code. With GPS in hand found it in a snap.
Great fun! Will do some more! [^]

Pretty busy down here this morning, but amongst all the comings and goings, I was able to retrieve, sign and replace the cache TFTC
3569 Nice quick find for us this time - dogs only just had time to had a quick stretch of their legs before it was on to the next cache! TFTC
Replaced with a green container.
Didn't know that there were that many muggles that walk here in the mornings.

Found today, bit of water in the container and the log was damp. May need to replace the bag for the log. TFTC!!!!

Had to wait for a muggle couple in a car parked nearby to move on. A quick find once the coast was clear. TFTC, Biggles.
Some delay whilst nearby 'boaties' were indulging in 'nauti' activities. Coast clear, retrieved cache and completed formalities.
With Skronkybite, who took Prickly Pear geocoin. Cache wet, drained & dried it a bit, but needs a more thorough dry out (and better weather!). TFTC.
Discovered, signed and replaced. Just a couple of boaties about today so a nice quick find. TFTC
Easy find once we found our way out of the marina. Took Tramper Boot TB and left Prickly Pear Geocoin. TFTC
Nice and easy find, co-ords spot on. Drained water out, log is a bit damp. Dropped TB "The Wanderer"

Once we found the right drain then it was an easy find. Nice spot by the water on a great day. TFTC
Great day to not be at work and to be out caching instead. Looked near the wrong thingie at first but was in luck soon enough. TFTC
Out and about in the rain so lucky it didn't take too long to locate the cache. T4TC.
Timed it well as a boat had just come out of the water and was departing as we strolled over to the cache.
Looked all around the 'drain' and around the small flaxes. Didn't stick around too long. Very exposed and felt very conspicuous.
Moved the cache a couple meters to the left of cords posted now and changed the hint.
Hopefully it will make it a wee bit easier to find.
Will up~date cords in a few days when i can get back down there.

Glad I found this one as I was just about to call it quits as I "HATE" those plants. Co-ords pretty accurate but as mentioned by other there are lots of places to look. TFTC
too many flax bushes and gps all over the place guess thats why I hate flax, on to the next one.
