14:10Heading eastward after a week or so in SA, this is one of the caches, the GPS automatically set on a course via as many cache stops as possible. Another snippet of history shared. Our thanks to 'tackle_head' for adding this cache to the.geo-gameboard.37893*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*

Stopped here to check out the cool looking building for sale. Then spotted another building and a historic grave. A quick check showed this cache was also here so we signed the log before returning to check out the building maybe an old school house further.

Knights of Ni: Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!
Arthur: Who are you?
Knight of Ni: We are the Knights who say..... "Ni"!
Arthur: (horrified) No! Not the Knights who say "Ni"!
Knight of Ni: The same.
Other Knight of Ni: Who are we?
Knight of Ni: We are the keepers of the sacred words: Ni, Ping, and Nee-womm!
Other Knight of Ni: Nee-womm!
Arthur: (to Bedevere) Those who hear them seldom live to tell the tale!
Knight of Ni: The knights who say "Ni" demand..... a sacrifice!
Arthur: Knights of Ni, we are but simple travelers who seek the enchanter
who lives beyond these woods.
Knights of Ni: Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!
Bedevere: No! Noooo! Aaaugh! No!
Knight of Ni: We shall say "Ni" again to you... if you do not appease us.
Arthur: Well what is it you want?
Knight of Ni: We want............A SHRUBBERY!!!!

09/10/2018 - 4.15pm - Find No. 983 - 8th of 8 finds for the day - out & about on a damp day with Nom234, this one found on our way home after a nice afternoon of driving & finding.
Plans were made the night before to do some 'hunting' after the start of dampness & with the promise of more to follow to make it cooler, we both prefer cooler hunting. Much perusal of maps was done to allow for roads usable after a bit of rain, not those unsealed roads that are like driving on ice after a touch of rain! All went well & no slippy roads were used in our hunt! Oh, that's right ... our very last find for the day (this one) had us travel cautiously a tiny way along a suspect road, but no slipping was allowed or happened! It was done verrrry carefully.
My driver is so helpful at caches she's found or owns ... I navigate, she drives & lets me count down distance to where we need to be but parks away a fair bit so I have to do the finding part without assistance. The drippy weather was just overall grey at this stage with only a few drippy bits as we headed to gz. We ventured down the unpaved road very cautiously & before N turned the car round for the trip out I hopped out to do the finding bit. Cache finally found safe, well & dry in it's hide although I try to be cautious about retrieval since being incautious a while back disturbed a bullant nest when I found the cache!!!! Don't want that to happen ever again, ouchy, ouch that was! Signed, photographed & returned as found. Thanks for the cache Nom
I have attached a photo of part of a multi-coloured tree sighted at our last find. It was so pretty I thought I would add it again. Note to other finders ... this is NOT near the gz location of this cache. .. just saying ...
I still think ... The Knights Who Say "Ni!" & smile.

Googles answer says: The Knights Who Say "Ni!", also called the Knights of Ni, are a band of knights encountered by King Arthur and his followers in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

ARTHUR and PARTY: Oh, ow!
HEAD KNIGHT: We shall say 'Ni' again to you if you do not appease us.
ARTHUR: Well, what is it you want?
HEAD KNIGHT: We want... a shrubbery!
[dramatic chord]
ARTHUR: A what?
HEAD KNIGHT: Ni! Ni!
ARTHUR and PARTY: Oh, ow!
ARTHUR: Please, please! No more! We will find a shrubbery.
HEAD KNIGHT: You must return here with a shrubbery or else you will never pass through this wood alive!
ARTHUR: O Knights of Ni, you are just and fair, and we will return with a shrubbery.
HEAD KNIGHT: One that looks nice.
ARTHUR: Of course.
HEAD KNIGHT: And not too expensive.
ARTHUR: Yes.
HEAD KNIGHT: Now... go!
Part 2
ARTHUR: Knights of Ni, we have brought you your shrubbery. May we go now?
HEAD KNIGHT: It is a good shrubbery. I like the laurels particularly. But there is one small problem.
ARTHUR: What is that?
HEAD KNIGHT: We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say Ni.
RANDOM: Ni!
HEAD KNIGHT: Shh shh. We are now the Knights Who Say Ecky-ecky-ecky-ecky-pikang-zoom-boing-mumble-mumble.
RANDOM: Ni!
HEAD KNIGHT: Therefore, we must give you a test.
ARTHUR: What is this test, O Knights of-- Knights Who 'Til Recently Said Ni?
HEAD KNIGHT: Firstly, you must find... another shrubbery!
[dramatic chord]
ARTHUR: Not another shrubbery!
HEAD KNIGHT: Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle.
RANDOM: A path! A path! Ni!
HEAD KNIGHT: Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest... with... a herring!
[dramatic chord]
ARTHUR: We shall do no such thing!
HEAD KNIGHT: Oh, please?
ARTHUR: Cut down a tree with a herring? It can't be done.
KNIGHTS: Aaaaugh! Aaaugh!
HEAD KNIGHT: Don't say that word.
ARTHUR: What word?
HEAD KNIGHT: I cannot tell, suffice to say is one of the words the Knights of Ni cannot hear.
ARTHUR: How can we not say the word if you don't tell us what it is?
KNIGHTS: Aaaaugh! Aaaugh!
ARTHUR: What, `is'?
HEAD KNIGHT: No, not `is' We couldn't get vary far in life not saying `is'.
BEDEVERE: My liege, it's Sir Robin!
MINSTREL (singing): Packing it in and packing it up
And sneaking away and b_____ring off
And chickening out and p____ing off home
Yes, bravely he is throwing in the sponge
ARTHUR: Oh, Robin!
ROBIN: My liege! It's good to see you!
KNIGHTS: Aaaaugh!
HEAD KNIGHT: He said the word!
ARTHUR: Surely you've not given up your quest for the Holy Grail?
MINSTREL (singing): He is sneaking away and b____ing off...
ROBIN: Shut up! No, no no-- far from it.
HEAD KNIGHT: He said the word again!
ROBIN: I was looking for it.
KNIGHTS: Aaaaugh!
ROBIN: Uh, here, here in this forest.
ARTHUR: No, it is far from...

It’s been quite a while since this was found. It was almost buried by the sandy soil around here. Thanks for bringing us here.
Heading towards The Big Desert chasing a FTF, we picked up a few caches along the way, as you do! Admired the old buildings plus the massive wall of hay bales here before finding the cache per hint.

This weekend had been earmarked for some adventurous exploits in the Big Desert National Park with Jacko83, aiming to find a few relatively remote caches. Along the way we explored some of the smaller country towns, discovered interesting locations... and found a few caches !
After a hearty Friday night pub meal in Nhill, we were out caching again in wet and muddy conditions when we got to GZ here (we ended up caching till 1am).
Nigh Nigh has a completely different meaning where I was born, but no need to go into that. At least caching smilies are a common language anywhere in the world .
Thanks, nom234.

This cache was found during a weekend adventure of caching, exploring and 4WD'ving with my two boys. We spent much of the weekend in and around the Little Desert National Park where we had an absolute ball. Today we teamed up with Jacko83 and Timmo98, meeting them just out of Dimboola before heading into the desert where our main goal for the day was to do the 'This is SA' series of puzzle caches. The weather was perfect and was nice and warm all day, with hardly a cloud in the sky. By late afternoon we had visited Broughton's Waterhole and from there Jacko83 and Timmo98 headed back east while my boys and I made our way to Kiata Campground where we were to spend the night.
Nice hide and thanks nom234 for the cache here.

Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. Unfortunately in Nhill for my Uncles funeral, but it gave us an opportunity to grab a cache and check out the area which I haven't visited for a long time. This was a sneaky but clever hide.

I was off on my biggest, single day, road trip. I left home at just after 7am and didn't get home until just after 11pm. I ended up with just over 670ks travelled, 29 smilies one being and event, and 3 Trig point discoveries, this included even heading interstate for 3 grabs.
There was many sights to see and even the odd fence jump for caches or photos. I think I managed to see every colour of mud that Western Victoria has on offer and I have a nice collection of it now in my drive way. I even had my pushbike on board and ended up peddling 5ks for 6 finds.
After the event in Kaniva I was now heading home, but not before a couple of Grabs that are sitting out on their own on my map.
Sorry, I was thinking the Monty Pythons all the way up to this one, and giggling to myself all the way.
Sadly it was too dark to take in much of the area. But I was quite surprised that in the time I was here there was 3 cars that passed by.

Found on the weekend attack on Mexican caches by a couple of Kiwis and a couple of Aussies, surprisingly there were no slayings although we talked a lot about maniacal murders along the way.

After being offered a weekend caching to and from Ballarat with Tounga and Moneydork, how could I refuse[?]
Sushilord joined us too and for 3 days we laughed and cached and laughed and cached until we could cache no more. [|)]
As for the topics of conversation, apparently mirth, maniacal murder and mayhem were the common themes for the weekend along with a few other topics
My total for a great weekend was 1 event attended in Ballarat , 113 cache finds 7 DNFs and a FTF as I wound my way home, alone, in the early morning
You have done a lot of work on your family history, or been lucky enough to have family historians to pass on the information.

Just when I thought I was in the middle of nowhere... I found a church on this Easter Sunday! Thanks
Following some rather sandy and rough, back roads, I made my way to Ni Ni
I had been giggling about the place name for quite a while.
I could swear that I heard the sound of a couple of coconut halves, 'clip - clopping' behind me as I neared GZ
Was the cache hidden in a shrubbery ?
I would soon find out
Trying to keep a straight face, I searched for the cache and soon found it.
Aaaargh !! I said it.
Yikes !! I said it again !! [:o]
Run away !! Run away !! ....
.... before this cache log gets any sillier and a police car rolls up with siren blaring, and lights flashing

I had an afternoon to spare so I decided to go for a bit of a drive to the North West and see what the day would bring.
This is why I love geocaching. I would have never come here to Ni Ni without it.
What a great little place. I parked up opposite the cache and decided to tackle GZ first. With a long stick in hand I decided to poke and prod with it first. I've read too many logs where a geocacher has had snakes pop out of holes like this.
All that was there today was a cache. Whew. With the log signed I decided to leave the car where it was and go wandering around the site. Another amazing little piece of Victoria's history.
Thanks for bringing me here, it was most appreciated.

We're over from England for a couple of weeks, staying with relatives in Nhill ahead of a family wedding this weekend in Horsham. It'd be rude of me not to do a spot of local geocaching whilst here, wouldn't it.
We didn't take the most direct route to this one from Woorak cemetery, mainly because my wife - who is local, unbelievably - can't follow a map! When we eventually got there, it was after two u-turns and a confrontation with a suicidal Galah who'd decided it wanted a close encounter with my windscreen.
Once at GZ I initially picked the wrong hint item to search but as soon as I moved to the other one I spotted where the cache was likely to be hidden and sure enough, I moved the covering and was rewarded by the cache. Another nice find in an interesting location. Thanks for bringing me here.

In: Nil, Out: Nil
Dipped TBs for miles
Signed the log and replaced as found
Greetings from England and thanks for the cache

Nice rock and Ni Ni sign. For a moment I was looking for the nights that said "Nih" or whatever they said.
Promise I did not leave a plastic dinosaur! Thanks to nom234 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Another great example of bush architecture. Very similar to Kenmare P.S. that we visited last year. Hard to imagine the place full of schoolkids though. SL TFTC
Lovely place to visit here before heading to Adelaide.

We were very fortunate that there wasn't a great deal of work on this weekend and we were able to sneak an extra day off so headed across to Skippy's 50th birthday event zig zagging and grabbing a few caches along the way.
We were able to stop very close to gz on this one and the cache was located in the second place we looked. After adding our name to the log book we headed across the road to the old Lutheran church site and that of Ni Ni well. We then went for a bit of a look at the school building which was in remarkably good condition and the toilters appeared to be quite an overkill for the size of the building. It was a shame that they were on private property, it would have been good to have a closer look at both places.. Although incorrect we choose to pronounce it Ni Ni as the knights wh say Nigh Nigh doesn't yuite have the same effect
Our thanks to nom234 for the cache.

Cool little location! According to my dad my grandfather went to the school there for a while. Thanks for the cache!
Following the Moderately Old Farts event at Red Bluff it was time to head East to grab some more 'Mexican' caches.
Found in the dark - good spot. TFTC.

Found at 2:55pm on our way back to camp. Wouldn't normally have come this way - I guess that's what chasing caches is about! Taking us off the beaten track to these interesting little spots, not a lot left here now but interesting to ponder how much life was once about out here in a very different world. Took: dice. Left: brown lump frog. SL TFTC
Found with Mogni on our Mallee - Wimmera caching drive.
A nice and easy cache in a fascinating place. Great spot to do some photography once the light softens up around sunset.

Found by Roma and Max.
These old locations have so much history and in this case of such a personal nature to yourselves.
Without geocaching bringing us here and revealing only a small part of that history to us, we would never have known of its existance.
Thank you again nom234.
