It is time to go as it was not good place to hide it. Thanks for finding my cache in the past. Lava

Found part of the cache. The container was found and I searched around for a log sheet but couldn’t find anything. I placed a slip of paper in the container with my mark but having found it on the ground I wasn’t sure where it was meant to be. I have placed it near the end of the guard rail covered in natural camo. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the cap so I’m not sure how long the paper will stay dry.

It looks like people use this as a bit of a dumping ground which is a shame since the view is amazing! I’ve sent a report to the council so hopefully they come by and clean it up soon.

Found! New hiding spot should definitely ward off muggles. Took a bit of searching but found it eventually. Needed some patience while mobile muggles went by in their motorised carts. I'm claiming ftf because its been moved :p TFTC

I had almost all of March away from caching to concentrate on the Garden. Surprised Time to get back to working towards my goals for the year.Razz Today myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out once again for a Wednesday Wander. Today we headed south towards the Flagstaff Hill area with a big ladder on the roof as there were a couple of caches where we thought it might be useful. Razz

Last month I was here to see the cache had been involved in a traffic crash and come off worst. Since then the CO had replaced it and so I returned on my way past to the target area and made a quick find. Smile

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

***Thanks Lava12 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Today I needed a multicache so I decided to leave the close to home ones and go for a drive. [^] After getting the multicache I decided to find some other nearby caches - as you do. Cool This was the first one I tried but although I found a cache container I couldn't find the log.

Problem number 1. Some fool has crashed into the cache hid and pushed the metal up to the hide location so the cache can't come out. Some serious repairs will be needed but that is not the CO problem. see photo.

Problem number 2. I was able to put a stick into a hole on the hide and push the container to the end and saw that there was no lid on the container. I was able to insert my finger into the cache, tip it up and found there were no contents......log etc. I searched the ground and I found a marble and a pencil but no logbook.

Thanks lava12 for the search anyway.

This evening, I travelled to Clarendon primarily to complete *The History of Clarendon* Adventure Lab, and visited a variety of places that contained geocaches. I hadn't fully explored Clarendon before except for an engagement party at the pub, and found it a quite historical and quaint town sitting next to the river. I used the remaining day's light to find roadside geocaches along the turns and crests of the roads, driving back through Blackwood to return home.

A nice sunset forming below this valley, so scenic views from this vantage point. I managed to make the quick find after parking right next to GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Lava12 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi .
Was working in the area today and had one more ancient wonder left to find to complete the series and I still had 45 minutes before I had to meet the rest of the crew. So, consulted the map and this one was the nearest cache that met the criteria so off I headed. Arrived in the area and parked within a few metres of GZ and with the GPS i the car and the engine running hopped out of the car, wandered across to GZ and located the cache. Took it back to the car to stamp the log and then reassemble it all and back to GZ to re-hide as found. Nice view from here and a fitting end to the Wonders of the world.

After just completing an awesome Multi nearby the rain had well and truly put a stop to my caching when i pulled up at this one's GZ just across the road. A Muggle walking his dog just made it back to his SUV when the wonderful-wet-stuff hit [^]

Some 10 or more minutes later i wandered over to make a swift find, still drizzling a wee bit, i brought the cache back to my GeoMobile to SL in the warm and dry [^]

We approached this cache from the wrong direction as there was no suitable parking spot. So a little way further down the road, we turned around and came back, finding a good park on the western side of the road and right next to GZ. Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Lava12 for the cache and the great views to the west.

I finally had the chance to look for this one after driving by a couple days ago but had a lot of muggle cars parked in the area. Was free of muggle traffic this time but just as I was getting ready to replace it an overheating car blazed in right next to me so I had to be super stealthy to replace it.
Took the happy face lanyard and left a pack of hypo-allergenic tissues for those who might be suffering from hay fever.
Found by the Aussie branch of the GronwoldFamily/Dobie's Pride.

On my way to another cache and about to turn the corner when I note that there is a cache 10m away, hmm, best investigate.

After looking in a few spots finding no cache but I did find a pair of sunnies, I turn around and low a SPOR enters my vision, this is generally a good sign and sure enough a cache is soon in hand ... whats this a geocoin as well, well a log signed and a geocoin joining me on my journeys and I'm off to resume my journey.

Day 89 of the planned 100 day streak. The end is nigh Smile

I like it up here in winter, on the days that are made remarkable by what you *can't* see, because everything is obscured by cloud. The place has a different feel to it then; it's better somehow.

The view is lovely this evening, with a crimson streak of fading sunlight behind the lines of grey clouds on the horizon, and the reservoir itself is glowing a silvery blue.

I hear there is a possible plan to open up the reservoir and surrounding area for recreational purposes. I would love to go out there in a canoe or small sailboat, and to be able to walk around the grounds... but I don't think the resident kangaroos that I love (and the occasional wedge-tailed eagle) will hang around for the publicity.
