Visited this geocache today and yes the distance indicator is gone. I'll need to rework the information. So took notes and photos late this afternoon to come up with another option.
Some of the information seems to be gone. The distance indicator is no longer in situ. This made it hard to calculate GZ. Maybe next time.
Tuesday is caching day. Today was a rectify a few DNFs day. [8)] So Doctor Owl, SA Sewer Rats and myself combined our DNF lists and I mapped out a get ones within 50 kms of the CBD route to see if we could get a few off our lists. As usual things didn't go to plan as I only wiped two previous DNF's, one became a second time DNF and I even added one that was previously only on Owls list. [B)] Still we also grabbed a few others in passing and had a laugh or two.
Third Time lucky. My first DNF here was 29/4/2012 when it was a trad and it was in a different place me thinks. The second was 20/5/2016 and it was this multi and I came up empty. I jokingly thought it would be a puzzle by the time I came back and in a way it now it. The metal plate with the direction and distances to towns has been stolen and now you have a field puzzle to stand there and let you GPS or smart phone work out the distances required.
Luckily still had them from two years ago. So we stopped and had a picnic lunch break before grabbing the cache on our way out. Now a fairly quick find.
Nemesis cache finally found. [:X]
**Thanks DJC3575 for this cache. **

SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5 and Owl combined their DNF lists, came up with a master plan and set out to rectify past mistakes. This was an interesting exercise. There is an obvious round gap where the distance markers should be, but the other sign was located easily enough. Fortunately, Brisal5 has the other numbers, the power worker disappeared from GZ while they were having lunch and a Starfish was able to retrieve the cache. Still a great view!
Out with an Owl and a Starfish, on mystery tour.
We were turning DNF's into smileys.
This one the Starfish could not find.
The Rat did a bit of scurrying, as the Owl read the clue.
The Rat found the cache .
This was after we had a chat with some muggles.TFTC

After finishing work at Angaston we decided to grab a few caches before heading home, weather was getting on the hot side, no snakes spotted and we managed just a few finds today, did the sums, went to GZ and found no cache and then noticed the DNFs
Information is there - but appears cache is not

Very picturesque location though.
Thank you

We collected the clues and worked out the new GZ fairly easily, with only one small math error that was soon resolved. Arriving at the final coordinates, we spent some time checking within but came up empty handed.
A trip to the Barossa with Mrs. Aussie M&M to pick up JLWE clothing and a catch up with STC. As usual this turned into "bought some more geocaching paraphernalia and had lunch." Then it was time to cache our way home. [^]
Well this is turning very rapidly into a Nemesis cache. I last didn't find this one over 4 years ago when it was a tradition cache. Now it is back as a multi....same result.
Grabbed all the necessary and did the maths...twice. That brought us to a likely hide with a low and a higher place to secret a cache. [^] Searched both. nada. So used the PAF to a recent finder who confirmed it was the lower altitude we needed. Another thorough search. Removed everything. Grabbed torch and stuck head in and looked and felt again. Still nada.
Guess I can try again in another 4 years time. Probably be a Puzzle cache by then.
Still nice spot to visit and took plenty of photos.

Found while out on a drive to see Herbig family tree and Sculpture Park. A nice quiet spot to take in the view and learn a bit about the area. TNLN TFTC.
On the way to the Barossa Valley saw look it sign and was pleasantly rewarded. TYFTC WONDERFUL VIEW and sorry to miss the Easter dawn celebration coming up.
Taking advantage of the cooler weather, we headed out to do a days caching around the Sedan - Towitta area. This was an enjoyable multi, in part because I had engraved all the plaques and the direction finder, so it was good to visit them in place... Yes I could have just opened up the layouts on my computer and worked out the clues...but the experience would not have been the same. Grabbed the Shell TB .. TFTC
amazing views around here ive been away from home (england) for 9 months now and this is probly this closest ive felt ive been to it. had lunch the set of to find the cache quick find tftc
Previously DNFd this over 3 years ago when it was a traditional! Going past today we stopped for the view and found the new GZ co-ords, admired the view, found the cache and were on our way. A great spot to chill in the chilly air.

Last time we stopped here we didn't have time to look for this cache.
Had driven up here to test the new camera and then discovered there was a multi here.
Today Mrs Gizmo was determined to cross this one of her to-do list.
The wind was bitterly cold but we enjoyed reading all the plaques and gathering the information we needed. Once again the views were spectacular.
Cache and contents in good condition. Took wine tag, Left extag

Nice little spot and a fantastic view! Never knew this was here! Lots of plaques here to. Found the right ones and calculated GZ. Quick find at GZ which I actually looked at on the way in and though "that would be a good spot for a cache!"

Stumbled across this one while walking, but will take credit for the find....cheeky! Had already viewed the plaques and found them very interesting. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
What a lovely place with a magnificent lookout!!! We were just passing by, and decided to have a look out.
Checked on spot if there might be a cache around and yes there was (no real surprise). Did the math and found the cache just before some muggles arrived. TFTC!

Camped at Mount Pleasant showgrounds, to cache around the area.
Being a lovely sunny day, we took a drive along country roads & visited some nearby towns.
Beautiful views, but a very cold wind today.
Found the information, did the calculations, and soon had a new set of co-ords.
Cache was found quickly, and in good condition.
T: N, L: 2 horses & a toy motor bike.
Many thanks for the hunt today, DJC3575+KKM.

Find No 590. Found with FUF009 at 3.55pm
In South Australia for our Annual holiday to follow the Tour Down Under Bicycle event. (FUF009 came with us).
After the first day of racing over, it was time to head back to Mount Barker. On our way FUF009 told us about this lookout being well worth taking time out for a look plus there was also a cache to be found in the area. What geat views from here - well worth taking time out for, and yes we did locate the find.
Took green keyring - Left pink flower.

Over in SA with Tyred n Cranky to follow the TDU.
After finishing off watching day 1 of the Tour it was time to grab a cache or two.
a couple of years ago, before I was a geocacher, I came up this lookout and was amazed with the awesome view. As we went past here this morning I told Tyred n Cranky about it and seeing that there was a cache up her that gave us 2 reasons to go up here.

Found it with the family on a lovely sunny Sunday outing. Bit of a thinker but got there eventually. TFTC. Cheers.
We were touring around the Barossa Valley today, and out to Eden Valley. We saw the turn off for the Eden Valley Lookout and decided to make a quick detour. As we were approaching the lookout I said "There would have to be a geocache somewhere around here. Get your phone out." And sure enough... A decent little multi. TFTC.
Changing to a multi without changing the cache type is decidedly unfriendly, as several of the logs here can attest.
Can you add the FINAL as an additional waypoint, please, owner?

Found by Mary & David at 0935. Some confusion here. The cache showed as a traditional on the GPSr, so we began a search at the posted coordinates. When that failed to reveal a cache, we consulted the description and found we were really attempting a multi. Gathered the numbers, and all went well after that. A gorgeous spot with great views and no tourist buses. Our thanks to DJC3575+KKM.
Today was a quiet caching day after doing a couple of power trails yesterday. I set a destination in Tom Tom and did any caches I noticed along the way.
It would be a good idea if the cache owner could get the cache type changed to a multi, or archive it and recreate it as a multi. I spent 5 - 10 minutes searching Wpt1 for a cache, not surprisingly, without success. I started reading previous logs and fortunately one mentioned that it is now a multi. I then read the cache notes and realized what was going on.
My thanks to DJC3575+KKM for this cache and for the wonderful views.

We saw the sign to the look out and figured there must also be a cache so as we took the turn and then did a search on the phone and found the cache listing. Once at was is actual WP1 we realised its actually a multi. (It would be good if the symbol could be changed). Great view and history from the look out. We did the maths and then headed to the real GZ. Once at GZ we said hello to a couple of Country Fire Fighters having a burn off. We thought GZ was very close to them and might have to give up on the find but spotted the tell tail and was able to remove sign and re hid the cache without being seen. TN LN TFTC.
Found in the fading light on my way home after spending the afternoon in the Truro to Angaston area. Thanks for the cache DJC3575+KKM!
It was blowing a gale up here today, and to make things worse I discovered that the GPSr that I had uploaded todays caches to wasn't showing any of them [:(!]. Good thing I had the smart phone as well. After enjoying the views and the history we found the required info and made some calcs that took us to a cache Took a dice and left a keyring. TFTC DJC3575+KKM!
Took a few minutes to calculate the numbers without a notepad, but with several different electronic devices we gradually got the right numbers. Great views from the top, even with the cloudy weather today (mid winter).
Found the cache in a nice hidey spot. Glad it wasn't in the original location - could the cache type be updated please? nice wire attachment. Non caching wife graciously stood sentry with camera in hand in case of tourists while I crawled about.
Thanks DJC et al

At first I didn't know this was a multi. So I stuck my head under the prickly acacia at GZ. I'm still pulln prickles out.
Read the cache notes......... Doh...... A quick find after some calcs. Nice to get a virgin note book for the pain.....

Found after a brief search when we realised that the cache is now a multi. Great views. Felt like a virgin find.
This cache has been updated & improved. Some of the previous finders will appreciate the move from its old location. The down side is future cachers will require some maths skills to work the finial location to GZ.
Out with CpWanderer and Mogni. After 100 caches in a day. this was our first DNF. CP has found this previously so let us scratch the flesh from our bones searching the bush in vain. He eventiually told us we were in the right place but moving the rock revealed nada.
Returned to this cache(I got the FTF) as we were going by and I thought it would be a good one for mogni and brisal5 to get their 100th for the day. Unfortunately its definately gone!!! A real shame as I'm sure many a cacher wandered up to get this one and then marvelled at the view. Unfortunately by this time(the sun was setting) we didnt have a replacement container with us.
For a cache placed on the 8th of the 8th it sure doesnt bring luck on finders!
Crap spot, yes I am annoyed, but why the helll hide it under THAT bush?
I spent 20 mins looking and getting my head, arms and legs scratched.
There is plenty of other places to hide it!
If it is there, good luck to next potential finder, if it isnt there...GOOD

Sent child in to get this one, but had to put it back myself. Insides were quite wet, and very mushy! Log book was wet but could still write on easily. TFTC
Ouch! Nasty hiding spot! Looks like a previous finder had left a stick though, so I used that to extract the cache.
Nice views from the lookout - we had the place to ourselves on arrival, but three other cars pulled up in the ten minutes we were there, so it suddenly became surprisingly busy!

EXTREMELY PRICKLY!!! Definitely cover your knees, arms and hands for this one. Gorgeous views THANKS Took Japanese Dog figure & left cute hand made tree decoration
Carried out some routine maintenance on a number of our caches today.
Firstly: OUCH
Secondly: OUCH ... that is a prickly bush
This cache all good. Replaced logbbok with one of our Stone paper logbooks & replaced the plastic protective logbook cover as well.
Finally: OUCH.... Will consider moving this cache as that bush is sure prickly!
Happy caching, and the views are looking great this time of year!

What a great spot!
My only gripe is that the prickles on the bush are rather sharp and the cache was deep in there!!
After a bit of positioning and a lot of complaining, the cache was retrieved and replced.

Absolutely blowing a gale up here. Pirate Rock lost her beanie twice and had to rescue it from a cow, while Pirate Dad braved the prickles and "rescued" the cache. Left a handy stick for the next person.
Great views, we'll come back for a better look later - perhaps spring/summer. Thanks!

Even in moderately heavy rain, the view was impressive!
One of the rare spots with much more than 180 degrees
view - I guess it was 250 at least ... my panorama shots
were not wide enough to catch it all.
Found it during our trip from the Barossa - via Eden Valley
- towards South.
Showed it to our travel bugs - but did not drop any, since
its a little on the small side.

A spectacular spot to visit - thanks for bringing us up here. We had the place all to ourselves while we were hunting the cache and then as we were taking photos (as instructed) we were inundated by people and their vintage cars who had also come up to admire the view. Thanks for the fun cache and the great location.

We arrived just on sunset - fantastic time to be here. Enjoyed the short walk to GZ but did not enjoy your choice of tree The signs on the rocks are new since were here last - nicely done. There was a tourist couple with their table and chairs out - what a great place to stop and camp. Thanks.
