On a day drive to Coffin Bay. Seen lot's of videos of the area. Good to be here in real life. Highlight of the day was seeing 4 emus walking around the main Street in town.
TFTCOn a short holiday in Port Lincoln with geo hubby Animal 62, picking up our new set of 4x4 geo car & thought to do a bit of Geocaching while we were here.

Another cache found with richlink.
We have enjoyed travelling The Eyre Peninsula with richlink using Geocahing as our guide. We have seen many interesting towns and locations along the way. Thank you so much to the CO’s who have placed and maintained caches for the enjoyment of all.

With rain expected tomorrow, we headed out with iluvtrekking to do dry weather caching. Quick find thanks where’s wolly
After recent wild weather and records rains, a maintenance run was in order to checked for any "washed away" caches!
Container all good!

We are staying in Pt Lincoln for a couple of days on our first leg of our big trip to WA.
After a FTF close by we headed to this one. Spent a bit of time looking behind the greenery but eventually came around to the roadside where the cache was spotted. Opened the container and everything is very wet and moldy. I did manage to stamp the log but the whole cache needs some TLC.
Thanks for the cache wheres wolly.

Mr Suelee would not get out to help due to the wet conditions. Thankful for a car heater. Quick easy find tftc
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
After having a successful day yesterday, we awoke with motivation and optimism for the day that was ahead of us. However after having our first geocache find, a rock had hit the vehicle's oil sump, leaving the car inoperable and requiring the car to be towed to a mechanic in Port Lincoln. The morning was then spent addressing the vehicle's repair plan, and then trying to salvage the remainder of our weekend's plans. We walked around the centre of Port Lincoln, before finding a hire vehicle for us, and then the afternoon was spent driving around the area. It was interesting seeing Port Lincoln's marinas and also caught glimpse of the shark cages. We ended up drowning our sorrows in the evening (whilst celebrating gridge98's birthday) at the craft brewery, which was probably a highlight of the day.
This cache didn't take long to find once we parked close to GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Arrived and made the quick find here, cache is all good
Well what a day it was, a day filled with more downs than ups and but overall a few caches were found in and around port Lincoln. Davidwazza and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula for a weekend away to clean up as much as we could and collect a few new LGAs for Davidwazza. This morning 2nd cache in we ended up cracking the oil sump in the car and having to sort out what to do and how to fix the issue. Lucky a mechanic was at hand and a prolonged trip was soon scheduled and a hire car was in hand. I guess things happen when you use a car for things that it’s not made to do.
Other than that a great day out.
Thanks for the cache

A better weather day in Port Lincoln while visiting relatives we could spend a few hours seeking a few more of these elusive hides.
Unfortunately some were abandoned, no longer there, destroyed or removed with no maintenance performed. Many by this owner of caches.
Fortunately this was one of the few that are still in place and in a decent condition.

Found at 4:01 PM GAFF3.
It was quite an overgrown area around here and we thought we would not be able to find the cache, but after we lifted an item - there it was and then the hint made sense - should have been the other way round btw
Thanks wheres wolly

Discovering Port Lincoln cache by cache with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, and Jack.
Many and varied caches were found and this was one. Some are in good condition, some a little rusty.
A good time had by all. Micro container here, no trinkets sorry. Rocks...

Hi there wheres wolly.
This is the 1st of 1 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 11:44:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache. It's either not there, a very clever hide or we are just suffering from "cache blindness", so here's a DNF from us.
Regards
Ian and Penny

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
DNF! Another DNF despite searching for some time

Continuing my adventure in Port Lincoln, cleaning up caches I didn't find on my previous trip. Thanks for the cache wheres wolly.
Day eleven of my holidays, just caching around the outskirts of Point Lincoln. There were some wins and some losses, but generally wins. The wins were generally easy, and the losses, well, too hard for me to find. Too easy.
My thanks to wheres wolly for the cache.

No slippin' and a slidin' for me today
I'm too old and sensible now to do the testosterone fueled things that result in hitting trees and causing injury and financial loss .... oh !!, and let's not forget [red]embarassment[/red]
The cache was a nice easy find by the roadside.
I was going to say quiet roadside, but the noise of the testosterone fueled drivers, slippin' and a slidin' around the nearby racetrack was quite loud [:o]

More chances of finding a snake than the cache. This cache container has had better days. Needs replacing
Bad smell close to gz and high grass
Did not want to attempt today due to snakes

Spent the day caching the Port Lincoln township - found plenty but had a few DNF's as well.
The area has been slashed and found the container in the open all cut up - needs replacing TFTC.

Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Huge search by Wheres Wally and Muffy and Co to find this one. It has now been replaced back to its original location.
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. DITTO same as southern cross caching. We agree.
Second DNF for the day, there was a lot of rubbish at GZ and this one could probably do with being moved about 50 mtrs down the road to get it away with all the garbage and possibility of a cacher being challenged about dumping all the junk here, no to mention the diseases here.
