The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Out for a day walking the trail with NZ Travellers, Newlyn Fam and laval as part of our training for Tongariro in Feb. This was a little more challenging than I had realised but it was great training and lots of fun!
No luck for us with this cache though
No luck for us with this cache though
We are training to do the Tongario crossing and in preparation we are doing some longer walks to get our fitness up. So today with Keylev, Newlynfam and Laval we set about doing the Bethells Beach to Murawai clifftop walk.
This was out first attempt and after a long search with no joy we checked the logs and found we weren't the only ones struggling to find this cache.
Unfortunately no luck for us today. Lets hope our fortunes change as we progress along the track.

The Sea was discovered at once, the Container? Nope.
The track is great. The view undesceibable. And a cache would be the cherry on top. But after the last log in 2018, I didn't expect to find a container. What a pitty.

Beautiful day for a wander, walked up the alternative track but no cache to be found. The Kids had a good play on the rocks though. Will keep an eye out to see if it is found again soon.
The start of the track is closed, so we needed to cross the estuary which at low tide was only ankle deep. On the way up to join the track we saw the remains of the bridge which had been washed downstream on Christmas day rains. Another couple were behind us, and they caught up with us at GZ as he was checking traps. We looked all over but couldn't find the cache
I hitched down to the lake on my day off today. Walked around it and did a bit of Te Henga walkway.. I've already been here in summer, felt good to be back! The weather was on my side, so I could fully enjoy it:)
Yes, I saw the sea! This one took me a while.. One reason is the steep area.. To be honest, I prefer caches where no new paths are created for..
Thanks to the owner!

Found it today together with Plostniece. Lovely walk and nice view over the beach.
Found it together with hubabuberts. A nice walk and a nice beach in here.

Headed out to walk the coastal track with Merlot58 and Jag50. After a hot, sweaty climb up the hill in the very humid Auckland weather, we spread out to search. We were about to give up and try again on the return trip, when we decided to try a little further up. not too long later and Mrs Jag called out that she'd found it.
We joined Merlot58 and Aiden29 to walk this track and collect the caches on our way. It was a very hot climb up the hill today towards GZ. At GZ we spread out and started our search. We were about to give up and try again on the return trip, when we decided to try a little higher up. Soon after the cache was found. Great views from this spot.
After coming to Bethel's for a ftf, me and FMZ came here to claim this one on the way past that one. He has already found it a very long time ago but willingly helped to find it with me, I got it in the end after a reasonably long search! Thanks for that. Bit of an oldie this one!
With Pazzabella, Geocchi & Merlot - we struggled a bit at first, trying to figure out the hint...but happily got there in the end. Tftc and bringing us to this beautiful spot.
It was a stunning summer's day for a walk with Pazzabella, Geocchi, Bertie Blowfish and the views from up here didn't disappoint. This took a bit of hunting down but once we found the right hint item Pazza soon found the cache
Simply stunning views and walk to this point. Muggles galore everywhere but none at the very spot we found this. After we found correct hint item, it was a quick find. Cache still in reasonably good order. Thanks for the cache and incredible view from here!
#113 debated whether to attack the lake or get this cache. Being time limited I decided to get this one and it did not disappoint! I've always wanted to do the Hillary Trail and this cache has only fuelled that desire! Great walk with cracking views. To be honest though I very nearly left without getting the cache. I followed paths and looked under trees to no avail. I debated bush bashing but it was clear from the logs it was not required. My phone had me down to 1m and everything about the area screamed logical cache location but I hadn't turned anything up. So I walked away to take some photos and came back to look and after searching properly I found it immediately where it should have been! Thank you very much for the cache placement and maintenance!
Could not for the life of me figure out what the first clue was supposed to mean. Took some bush beating to find the cache. Great views and a nice walk.
After doing the lake loop then over the hill to O'Neills up to "Muriwai or Bethells", I was finally on the home stretch (with sad and tired calves) Found another route that lead me to where my new GPS was pointing and "a-ha" there it was. Love the views from here even with the winds trying to blow me off the side of the hill. TFTC
Doing a part of Tehenga walk today. Did a pretty good search here around, but no luck today
Bit of a scramble and had this one in hand, great views although looking fairly overcast. TFTC
Fantastic views! Left the track a little early so a bit of a scramble but soon located the cache. TFTC!
Took advantage of a nice opportunity to go out for a walk today. Have been along the beach below many times and have noticed the power poles but never ventured up. The views didn't disappoint and this spot was a good excuse to pause for a while and take it in. Cache safe n sound, and found with the hint. T4TC
Spent a few minutes searching the area but eventually had a nice cache in my hand and a great view to look at!
#1138. I have been working out at Bethells Beach for a few days and geocachitis was setting in. I knew this one was nearby and couldn't resist getting a fix so made the trudge up from the beach along the walkway to the GZ. I bush-bashed around for a while without luck. Sat down to read the recent logs and description again and then quickly took the "path" to the cache. All obvious in hindsight. Yes, no bush-bashing is needed. Great views. The sea looked spectacular today. Pity I didn't have a camera with me. TB rescued. TFTC
Had a lil look for a while with caito19 and my geo friendly friend. Got to it eventually. TFTC!
Quick scamper up the hill to find this after our lake caching ! Thanks for showing me this view !
Decided to do the Te Henga Walkway today. I went from the Bethells end to Constable Road and back again. It was a very good workout and had to watch my footing with the mud. Luckily the weather was nice so was able to admire the awesome views without getting soaked. A nice spot to admire the view. Left a TB. TFTC.
Walked to without bush bashing, followed the path, a track took me to the elusive cache. Walking in the rain, we had a nice climb up to the views. Lots of activity on the beach with the surfers, walkers/runners and a few horses. Awesome view, thanks for the hide.
There is a wee track to the cache, alternatively you can bush bash to get to it. We off course bush bashed and exited on the track. Fantastic views from up here. TFTC.
Muggles sitting nearby when i walked past here at the beginning of my walk, so decided to get it on the way out. Hmm a fair bit of bush bashing required to get to GZ but cache soon at hand.
Last GC of the day. Nice climb, great view at the top.
Found cache in flax so replaced it back where it should be (as per Hint) and camo'd it up well.

Out and about this afternoon after work enjoying a good hike. I had headed in via the beach so decided to come out via the trail and collect this cache on the way. Took some looking to finally came up with the goods and a few scratches to boot. Cache still nice and dry. Time to get back to my car as I'm losing the light. Cheers for the cache placement!
Got this one after a bit of searching round. My GPS was jumping around a bit but finally nailed it. Found it at the base of a flax rather than the tree mentioned in hint tree. I put it back where I found it.
Had to do a little bit of off roading to get to this one but found it in the end
Amazing views from the top

We still had time for another walk before I needed to head out to the airport, so came this way. Waited for some muggles to continue walking before we popped in for the cache - TFTC!!

This one had rolled downhill a bit, so took a while and a good amount of scrambling. nicest thing was to find a South African flag in it. Seemed very appropriate I this week of Nelson mandela's death.
Bit of a scrabble around in the bushes. The recent DNF's didn't look promising, but got there in the end. Coords were good.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
The rain didn't help when Ryan and I were trying to find this one... well return another day!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We were out at Bethells Beach this afternoon and decided to head across to O'Neills Bay and pick up the caches located around there - a very nice walk around the bay! After collecting the other caches we headed back along the track to the start of the walkway. We failed at this cache just over a year ago, but this time we were armed with a better GPS that led us straight to GZ, where we made a quick find of the cache! Thanks for the cache!
ps - not too far away from the cache, we spotted an interesting piece of graffiti on the track and have attached a photo of it - this logo looks familiar!!??

For once it was a Saturday that decided it wasn't going to rain, so we decided to make the most of it, and head out to one of my favourite tracks. Having not had much luck with this cache in the past we were determined to find it this time, and typically, found it almost straight away! Great to be able to check this one off the list finally! Awesome spot, and great view today. TFTC
Failed miserably the last time I was out here - searched all sorts of spots and nothing seemed to make any sense or lead me in the right direction. Came back today and found it in the first place I looked.... Funny how that happens... Awesome day to be out this way - swapped TBs before heading off for a couple more. TFTC
Watch out for gin traps in the area, nearly got my fingers trapped poking about in the bushes.
Had to scratch around to find the cache, but got there in the end.

I found this one after a bit of back and forth chasing the GPS signals. No bashing reqired if you sick to the pseudotrails and read the hint. Good views from up here. I've been down to the beach a number of times and each time I wanted to get up to the ridge. TB in. I'll have to post a photo once I get them off the camera. TFTC!
Found it OK but being in a country so big on conservation we felt a bit iffy about crashing about in the undergrowth. Followed all the cachers' trails and eventually uneathed it. Thanks oremountains for hiding it. Retrieved Cachekins-Ocean Series TB to help on its way, otherwise XN.
Trekked through bog (still trying to get my once white shoes clean) and hiked up steep terrain to the top so we could view the moon lit ocean. Rummaging through the bushes on top of the windy hill top found the stash and headed to the next cache. Great walk T4TC

Instead of sitting at home on a cold and blustery Thursday night in front of the TV, a few of us keen cachers got together for a stroll down the Te Henga walkway. In the company of FMZ, rosmar, kiwi.bug, 10cc and snakelion for the evening adventures. On approach to GZ, the track was very boggy in places after the recent rain. Once at GZ, this cache was quite tricky to track down. The heavy winds didnt help here but after a good search around we soon had the cache in hand. With the aid of the full moon its a great view from up here even in the darkness. A quick sign of the log for those that hadn't already found this cache and we were on to the next one abit further along the track. TFTC!
Was keen to do this area for ages now and FMZ's timing was awesome to organize a little expedition as per Andrew's request (I think) tonight at Bethells for a nearby FTF. Teamed up with few other cachers and decided to clear up this area.
Got warm by the time we got here even this cold and windy night. Bit of search and it was found! Nice views from here even at the middle of the night.

We were all set for a night at home when FMZ made a suggestion that there were a few caches on the Te Henga walkway that we could go & find. Why not the excercise is alway good!! This was the 2nd for the night and took a while to find GZ in the dark. The rest was good after the good work out to GZ. Joint find with kiwibug, 10cc, mike-miss, FMZ and snakelion. TFTC.
I am in NZ for work and had the day off. I wanted to see the West coast so looked on the map and found this location. Not too far from Auckland.
Had a great walk up to GZ took some great photos.
I searched and searched for the cache but I could not find it. I did find the trap someone else mentioned.
Looked under all the trees but I just could not find.
Anyway thanks for the great views and photos I now have.

A great day for a walk, no breeze and not to hot. A slow start as we had to stop a find caches but 3 out of the four of us on the walk managed to sign.
found this previously and though it would be a nice spot for the trackable we dropped off. found it on the east coast, and so over to the west coast - particularly since many aucklanders don't seem to know the west coast is there lol
Had a good look for this one but didn't have any joy. When we came across a trap we decided to leave it for another day. Great views all the same.
oh how easy it was after the up grade from the etrex... straight to the place this time very nice spot
Spent quite a while searching for the cache with no luck, do not like leaving a cache site empty handed especially if it required more effort than most to get there. was a lovely spring day with no muggles on the track, plenty enjoying the stream below.
The wind was howling and we were scared that Miss Jacksonz was going to get blown away, so we continued on into the bush for shelter. Another one to re-try when the weather is better.
7107 An enjoyable winter’s afternoon walk to GZ, awesome spot to see the sea… have been past this spot a few times hunting for other caches, but never tire of the views. Many thanks for bringing us back.
A great day for views. Looking quite peaceful down below on this winter day. T4TC - M@
the lat and long was just short of the view point on our etrex, turning in land there meant scaling a cliff face>? all though we did try another spot from just behind the view point but the whole hill side was covered in small trees... i am sure its there, we are just new to it;-)
Nice view even in the bad weather !
Didn't think cache quite where it should be based on the hint but found it anyway . Great walk
Tftc and the view!

One beach I love coming out to for a walk . Sunny here but raining back in the city. Lots of people out enjoying the beach for the day,
Found it after quite a bit of searching. Awesome place and a great cache for my first try at geocaching. Didnt take jeep. TFTC
We wanted to test how much of our stamina has survived the winter break and Rala's major cold earlier in October. Surprisingly, we went up the hill to the lookout without any signs of huffing and puffing. That's a good sign.
Not good was the sign of human "activity" close to GZ. Watch your step.

Off to do a few more out in the far west this morning. I could certainly "see the sea" from up here.
It was a bit windswept today but too bad.
Out: 3 x Geocoins.
Cheers for the cache.

Got a txt from 10centcoin this afternoon inviting me on an excursion out to bethels. The remaining couple of hours of afternoon seemed to drag on forever before I could finally head off - then after some initial confusion about who was picking up whom, we were on our way. It was dark by the time we got to the start of the track, so chose to park out by the road rather than risk being locked in the carpark. Started making our way up the track and it was getting very dark, although not so dark that we couldn't see a serenely peaceful view of the beach in the moonlight. Took us a few minutes to locate the cache - quite steep and scrubby, but we found it eventually right in the area we had been searching already - the coords are pretty good - and rewarded for our efforts with a blank logbook. I think we left it slightly easier for the next finder, although the container really doesn't seal well at all and will probably need to be replaced. Joint FTF with 10c - TFTC!!!
I think FMZ said it all! I saw this one come in yesterday and by midday today it had still not been taken. Thought it was time to start making plans for a trip out west. Had a cool trip in the dark - great views. Cache took a bit of finding but got it in the end for joint FTF . The coords, and ratings were spot on.....left a jeep TB.....TFTC...Great spot
