I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Indeed, the site has been built over and the forest glen is gone Will cast around for a new near-by location for this cache - Stay tuned!
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Looks like GZ for the solution is now a building site and the vegetation has made way for construction.
Solved some time ago, came by today to collect, but nothing found. It does appear as if some tree maintenance has been done here, so may be missing.
After the Mega and time to grab a few caches before leaving town. Thank you for the placement.
With Capperz in tow this was always going to be an easy solve considering he is in the military and basing himself at Trentham this weekend. So a quick find, thanks for the puzzle CommanderB0rg.
Mega Saturday, and Capperz and I have a few goals for the day. All lab caches to solve, plenty of events targeted to get to, and the most different types in a day for me. Add in that a bit of pathtag swapping (finally!), and it was pretty successful.
First mega for me, and loved the experience. Kept bumping into a few familiar faces on our travels and met a few new ones as well. We also didn’t embarrass ourselves at the quiz later on in the evening. Thanks to all COs, especially those keeping maintenance up on their caches especially for the event.

First, and only, find today. I'd tried to solve this using Street view but I couldn't get a tick. I think it's because I'd missed an object on Street view that is clearly visible at the posted coordinates. After the event the missing item was obvious, but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Having got a tick from Geocheck I headed off to GZ. I found the two caches within a foot of each other, about 5m from where my GPS took me. One fitted the hint once, but not now. I signed the log in the other.

I'm trapped in Trentham for a few days doing some training with the NZDF and nothing to do in the evenings. On Monday I managed to get 10 caches on a nocturnal jaunt in the bush on the hill behind Trentham and Silverstream. Last night I managed another four around the Trentham area and managed to solve this but couldn't find it in the dark. This morning it was a QEF in the light of day. It was pretty busy in this neck of the woods at this time of the morning so I didn't hang around looking for a second cache, so as soon as I found the first one, which was probably the lower one, the log was signed and I was off.
As for the puzzle, it certainly helps if you have an NZDF ID while lurking around JFNZ, or in my case a RNZAF one and the walk past confirmed one of the numbers which I was pretty certain of without the visit but I certainly needed to go for the others. At the end of this month I well commemorate 40 years service with the RNZAF, (just over 30 years in uniform, followed by just under 10 years as a civilian), so this cache is very relevant to my life and gets a FP from me.

This was one of the few remaining mystery caches for us to crack in the nearby area, and luckily I know some people who work at JFNZ so they did the answering to avoid us getting collared by security!
Quick find tonight on our way home, all good at GZ.

#3309. Out for an evening picking up some geocaches in the Hutt Valley. I came up here several months ago and worked my way through the hardware to solve the coordinates. I started looking around the GZ in failing light and spent a good 10 minutes searching there without success but had to flag it away as it got too dark. Was planning another assault when I saw it had several DNF's. Today I gave myself more time and full daylight for the search. Even so I spent 10-15 minutes looking without any success. Was starting to wonder whether it was just incompetence, cache blindness, pitiful eyesight or all of the above that was the problem. Suddenly I spotted something I had missed on the way in. Lo and behold the second container was there as well. About 10m out on my GPS but still should have found it sooner. Signed both logs and replaced the caches as found. Thanks for hiding them here and for the puzzle.
Another couple of days over on the North Island and as it turned out a little bit of respite from the quakes that happened on the Sunday evening, though being on the third floor of nearby accommodation resulted in a midnight rude awakening, coupled with a rock and roll ride up high.
Arrived evening-time on the Sounds Air caravan plane and was met at my destination by local cacher wb1116 who kindly kept me company as I revisited previous D N F sites, solved puzzles and a few other quick and easy caches available on foot before the dusk came and curtailed the caching available.
As it turned out I also had all day Monday for caching in the area so was able to make a dent in the local available caches, thanks to all the C Os for their placements.
First up here and pleased to see a choice of 2 containers on offer. Took the higher one and added my name to the roll call. Nice puzzle that Uncle Google helped me with and a Q E F here.

#505 Had been staring at this cache many times and have never had the opportunity to do so. Today I knew I was heading this way and decided to remotely solve the cache before heading out. Excited that I finally got the co-ordinates to enter correctly into geo-checker (user-error), I headed out to do what I needed to do and stopped to grab this cache.
Found after a short search but forgot a pen, I couldn't believe it! Have taken a photo for proof of this log and will sign the log when I next head this way. TFTC.

#2225 Having solved the puzzle a long time ago and then visited GZ a number of times without success, I saw that CO had performed maintenance. I also noted the hint had changed.
I headed to GZ after work and looked for the new hint object. After finding and signing the new log I then saw another suspicious looking object - low and behold, poking out from some leaves etc. I recalled the previous hint and saw where it had likely come from.
Signed both logs and both containers replaced as found. As it turns out, this one has been lonely a while - last found in Aug 2015.
Apparently 15 years this month since HQ JFNZ was created.
Thanks CO.

Too hard for me today and now I read the recent log I see it was definitely there (twice in fact!) I had the old hint on the G P S too.
Thanks for the good communication and next time I'll look (much) harder

Several visits and no luck. Appears not to have been found for a year, owner please check.
A few years ago I was doing some contract work at NZDF HQ in Wellington and had an occasion to come out here for a meeting at what is reputed to be the most secure building in New Zealand. An interesting experience - even handing over my keys at reception because I had a USB drive on it (and couldn't be bothered taking it off the keychain). This was before I got serious into Geocaching so never bothered looking around for caches.
I solved this one remotely, I did struggle with one of the answers using that method, but I used a tool to narrow down the possibilities and soon got the tick.
A bit of a struggle at the final as my phone's GPS is pretty much useless now but I did eventually find the lonely cache - not found since November and gives me enough days on my Lonely Cache Challenge! TFTC

Solved this one a few months back online as i try to do as much solving at home as is possible and this is about a half hour drive from home, along the motorway. I have looked for this cache twice already but with no joy. Today I had 3 helpers aged 9 and under and we successfully found the cache! Thanks for a great puzzle and well hidden cache.
Found with Jade, Brady, Trina and Sian.
Finally got around to solving this nearby puzzle cache. Nice and easy find on a lovely spring morning. TFTC.
Solved this a few days ago when I knew I'd be in the area soon. Met up with Mrs Penguin for a night time amble while our brainiacs attended the Mathswell. Fumbled around in the dark looking at a couple of wrong places when Mrs P found it by touch. TFTC
Found it but in a round about way, via the other get out and play game while scanning a Munzee.
Solved a while ago in preparation, and finally in the area today. No luck finding though. I'll have another look next time i'm in the area.
Gcing in the dark while daughter was at school disco nearby. One slight miscalculation before puzzle was solved and then a bit of self_conciousness about searching by torchlight but cache found eventually. TFTC

Google Street View worked a treat, had to guess one of the answers though. No problems at GZ. As previously stated, log sheet is full. Tftc.
TFTC nice and straightforward find once you have the coordinates worked out. Some trees down in the garden and seat broken. Log sheet is full.
Was asked by the guards if I was 'doing that map thing', so I'm clearly not the only one busted.
After trying to find this one awhile back (it was dark) and having no luck, returned this afternoon while the youngster was kicking a ball around in the YMCA. No problem this time. Daylight definitely helping out with the cache camo. TFTP&C

Tidying up a few puzzle caches in the neighbourhood. Had overlooked this one, and only recently spotted it again. No problems with clues or calculating coordinates. Probably took me a little longer than it should have to spot the cache, but after all the rain over the last couple of days all the foliage was soaking wet. Got there in the end.

I know I was in the right place and even more frustrating knowing someone found it earlier in the day. I will find it- soon! I even had a TB for it.
Cache # 1,528 - Downunder Wanderer and I got all the pieces for this a couple of months back, while we were doing other caches in the area, but we ran out of time to go and retrieve it then. Made the trip back today on a beautiful summer's day. Took quite a bit of scrounging around before we located it - the nearby trees that had fallen over led us to think it might have been dislodged. Eventually found the right location, and all is in order. TNLNSL. Thanks for a great little cache!
TFTC. Solved earlier this morning (Google street view + a guess made got the geocheck tick), and then retrieved as part of an afternoon's caching around Upper Hutt.

Very nicely done multi. Fortunately I did all the calculating from home Google Earth is just great!. The funny thing is I used to work in this building back in about 1987-1988 when it was one of the Government Computer Centres along with Wanganui, Chamberlain (Upper Willis St) and Pipitea (next to the Thorndon Maere). Found the final on a lovely Upper Hutt spring afternoon after a quick serrch. TFTP
Found the location months ago just as a major muggle event happened nearby. Much quieter today. The cache is in good order and easy to spot once you find the right angle. The gz has suffered some serious storm damage, hope the cache survives the cleanup
Live very close to this one, not sure why I put it off for so long. Easy find in the end, after jiggling the numbers around. TFTC!
Felt an awe lot like spying. Hope those security guards didn't mind me taking notes. Easy find, nice spot.
Hint object no longer in place. Needs an owner check as I have moved it as per my log
I was obviously looking suspicious walking round the perimeter fence in the early evening as a lovely man in uniform (got to love them) came out to find what I was doing. I was on a treasure hunt but he was more observant than that - and he had thought of trying geocaching himself. (Could this be a new recruit?) Actually he supplied me with all the answers including one that I had wrong! Had quite a problem at GZ as something has happened there. I finally decided that the cache had been a victim of that and found it after some rumaging round. Replaced in a place that fits the description but closer to the road. TFTC #4463
Oops. Third calculation was necessary before I managed to find this one. I thought this was pretty straightforward, but somehow I think my interpretation of how to count certain parts of this puzzle must vary from TheB0rg. Oh well, luckily, I was pretty sure that I only had one number wrong, so I used trial and error.
I read previous logs as well, so when I got it right I knew I was in the right area.

Just browsing around and noticed boxhill's comment. We were clients of the Computer Centre back in the day and I used to have to do deliveries to and from there quite often, though I am not sure I ever managed to go into the inner sanctum. However if the equipment we used then was anything to go by what they would have had in there would probably fit in one computer chip and/or a desktop or laptop these days
A good cache to do on ANZAC Day. Made one counting error (not W) but quickly worked out what it should be and soon had cache in hand. SL TFTC.

Report to Commander Borg and other operatives on manouevres in the vicinity of the JFNZ complex on the morning of 21 April 2012 NZST.
On arrival at the initial assembly point it was observed that an operative was inside the complex checking some items along the inside of the northern perimeter fence. Fortunately the present operative had taken the precaution of stowing all electronic equipment. A friendly greeting to the operative seemed to assure him that there was no enemy action involved and I discreetly completed this segment of the operation without interference. I then proceeded to the eastern segment of the assignment which was completed without difficulty.
In order to complete the final stages of the operation I then marched in the direction of a suitable area to calculate the coordinates of the drop zone and on arrival suspected that I may well have been in close proximity, this proved to be correct as I was only 34 metres from the target.
The device proved to be bugged, unable to disarm it as the bug was highly mobile and retreated at a rapid rate.
Several trackable observers provided reinforcements. Mission completed at 1040 hours NZST.
Acknowledgements to the Commander for arranging the supply drop.

I retrieved the answers from the comfort of the car before heading off to the final where the well hidden cache was discovered after a brief hunt. Thanks for making me aware of theis location. TFTC
I don't know why it took me so long to get around to attempting this cache. I obtained the right answers quickly enough but I failed to notice the additional action required for one of them. After realising my answer wasn't going to work, I had a second look at the questons and soon figured out where I went wrong.
The cache was nicely hidden and I had it in hand after a short search.

Often park up here before going biking....so didnt feel too shady gathering the answers. Quick and easy and off to get the final.
Answered the question on my last visit to Trentham and found tonight. My #300 find. TFTC TNLN
Our final co-ordinates didn't seem quite right when we got there. We wondered if our answer for W was wrong - it didn't seem the right number at the time, but we counted what we saw. Added one to W, and the resulting co-ords were much more likely. A quick find after that.

#2017 (8/17 in Upper Hutt). Felt a bit conspicuous malingering aroound JFNZ using a PDA and GPSr, and writing stuff in a notebook. Interesting place to check out. Our final coords could have put us somewhere we shouldn't have been, so tried another possibility and that looked better. TFTC.
Had a couple of goes at the puzzle, but got there and found the cache after a short wander. Thanks for another excuse to get out & about

Early morning visit, around 7am, as I was off to the Wairarapa for the day. Nearly muggled by three army platoons out for their early morning march around the streets, quite amusing to see them all in bright orange high viz vests over their well camo'd fatigues.
Missed one of the objects so had to play around with the numbers a bit to get something sensible, fortunately not too hard.
An interesting looking place.

Had a problem getting 'W' but there were only two options so soon worked it out.Thanks.
No problem collecting the required info today, although it took a little searching at GZ as the coords seemed a few meters off (or maybe I had a small error). However, the mission objective was completed.

Found whilst in the area this afternoon. Caused a bit of strife for myself by missing an object required for one of the questions. After coming up blank, walked along the street to a suitable spot and sat down to work out where I might have gone wrong, deduced what the answer would probably be, and found I was within 20 metres of the cache. A quick find and I verified my error on the walk back to where I had parked the car. An interesting tour of the area, TFTC and for bringing me here!
Playing taxi service again for soccer in the area, so thought we'd grab this on the way past. However, had a counting problem, so took a little longer than it should have to resolve and find. TFTC
