This one is being archived so others can put something in the area.

I let the "logbook" dry in the sun, but it needs for sure new one and an O-ring to seal the cache!

29-Sep-14
Sorry. Not able to sign this log. It is compkete smashables...

Headed down to get this one yesterday afternoon and quickly worked out the correct cliffs. However, I was discouraged from searching by the presence of 2 ladies working in the garden.

Returning this morning in -6 degree conditions, I quickly found the cache after brushing away all the leaf litter camo. What I was greeted with was a sodden pulpy mass that was once a log sheet ... the same that appears to have greeted finders for the past 6 mths. This needs urgent owner attention!

02-Aug-14
This cache requires urgent attention - a new log and an O ring to minimise future moisture penetration.

23-Jul-14
Nice quick find before my caching trip to Adelaide. Log was pretty much sodden and disintegrated and as has been mentioned, needs looking at by the CO.

I remember visits to this church many years ago - my Mother's cousin was the local preacher around 20 years ago before he moved onto another parish. Love how it's integrated a lot of sustainability into the design.

TFTC and the memories.

14-May-14
This one needs some loving. The cache is fine however the log is a soddy mess. Email has been sent to CO to advise.

13-May-14
After a failed attempt at Auslan Learning #2, I decided to head out and do this multi instead. Gathered required information nice and easily and made my way to GZ.

Located the cache without issues however when I opened it, I was greeted by paper mache..... Totally unwritable, cant even get it out of the container as its literally just a soggy mess. Went back to the geomobile to see if I had a spare log, well bugger none there, ok next option, a piece of paper. Are you kidding me? I don't even have a receipt or anything in here that I can place in the cache. Totally out of the ordinary for me as I usually have enough supplies within my car to place an entire powertrail!!!!

I have emailed the CO and also taken a photo of its condition.

Thanks for this interesting little multi M_Family Smile

23-Feb-14
We found it! But it's a wet soggy mess (the log). Lovely spot.

12-Jan-14
#1338 - 09:50; Dropped the geoteen at work and decided to grab a quick cache before getting stuck into the days chores. Having recently logged the other "Sustainable" cache nearby, decided to grab this one. Made my way to the posted coords where the relevant information was quickly identified and the calculations done, then it was off to GZ for a reasonable quick find. I found that the log was dry today and I was able to sign with no problems. It was clearly showing wear and tear from previous visits though and could stand replacing. TFTC M Family Smile

25-Dec-13
Was staying with family just across the road, so wandered over before Christmas lunch and quickly found it. Others have commented that the log is a bit damp and not in the best condition, partly due to the fact that the dampness makes it difficult to pull out of the container. TFTC.

02-Nov-13
Found it! The coordinates and a few red herrings got in the way! But thanks for supplying our first ever geocache!

24-Sep-13
A little damp. Needs some attention. Also a little rusty.

23-Sep-13
A little tough in the dark, but got it. What a great spot for a cache. Will come back in daylight. Cache a little damp. Might need some care.

27-Aug-13
Finally found it at lunch time today. I always find leaf litter challenging, it creates many possibilities and also can provide additional camo for the cache owners camo.

Thanks M_Family for the hunt and the cache. I especially enjoyed the waypoints along the way.

29-Apr-13
I was running some errands at lunchtime today and found myself in Lyneham, so thought I would have a go at this cache. I soon had the items found and counted and the search began. I was crawling around wondering where the cache should be until I had a look at the hint. Finally made the find - good spot too! TFTC M Family

03-Mar-13
Nice hide, took a little puzzling but suddenly clicked

31-Jan-13
Was in Lyneham for a work conference all day, decided to do a bit of a walk and look for a few caches before heading home (this one was the last of 5, was possibly getting a bit brain dead by then? lol)
Love the innovative layout of the solar panels ...
No muggles in the garden, but a few came and went in and around the car park/church ... So I had to wander around and look like I was playing with my phone (which I actually was - lol)
Got my answers, found a convenient spot to sit while I did the maths, and realised I was a very short walk from GZ, although My iPhone app seemed to think I was standing on the other side of the road! (it was a bit less confused up in the car park though, which I also confirmed later via google maps Smile but I guess I may not have looked far enough in a particular direction, or not had a good enough look far enough along, or something ... LOL (I gave up looking fairly quickly - it was getting late and I had already been out caching a fair bit longer than I had been originally planning on (not the first time that has happened Smile
I will be back ... Sometime ... Eventually ... (When I am over that way again, or passing through, with some spare time to stop and look)

26-Dec-12
As it is Boxing Day, we had he place to ourselves. This didn't help though, we looked everywhere but couldn't find this one. Such a shame as we'd been looking forward to finding this one for a while.

25-Oct-12
Took me a while to get the co-ords correct. Thought I had them first drive by.

Clearly I can't, Second time drive by got the co-ords and decided to do it staright away this time.

Found the cache quickly. Log was a little wet.

A surprisingly tricky hide which made us resort to checking our calculations for a second time. Just about to give up when spotted a possible option which turned out to be the spot. TFTC

27-Jul-12
992. Arrived at the WP and had the place to myself. Wandered around gathering the info and then back to the car for some maths. Formulated a GZ and headed off the check it out. An interesting hide was soon located and the log signed. Very quiet here this morning. TFTC.

22-Jul-12
Hooray! We have made several visits here, and always been thwarted by either a cache that had genuinely gone missing or by gardeners who would get suspicious. Success at last! Thanks M Family.

02-Jun-12
The MajuraHathi parti consisted of three members today including The Split and a mate "FJ". We came upon the Sustainable Church in light rain and were the sole visitors today. We counted and noted the results. We found a sheltered spot to make the calculations and sped off to GZ. After a short period of searching, we found the cunning cache, extracted the log and returned to our shelter to sign it. All was returned and we puddled our way back to the geo-bug.

I think it's funny how so many churches feature the same architectural style. Have seen many like this one. What we haven't seen before is the creative re-deployment of the classic church sibling the tennis court, what a great idea to convert it to a community garden. Thanks M family for featuring this church and community garden. Have been past this church many times and hadn't realised it was there. A very cool community here!

An easy multi on this crisp and lovely morning. A nudge is a good idea! TFTC

27-Apr-12
Weee, my first multi! TFTC!

19-Apr-12
Been here twice now, can't find it..

19-Apr-12
We think our first visit to the Sustainable Church was back in January, we worked out the coords for the GZ but like many others it was too busy to head over. Someone talked to us but we just can't remember what he said. He asked us something, thought we were meant to be there, we said no, just checking out the garden. We think. Anyway, today the place was deserted so we were free to search and search and search. And we did. The iphone app was not helping, the GPS was not helping, reading previous logs was not helping, the hint was not helping but then finally Zita gave something a nudge and there it was. Maybe the hint was helping after all... So glad we didn't give up! We love these community gardens, such a great idea. TNLNSL, TFTC!! Smile

29-Feb-12
A great location and I love the sustainable facilities - luckily I did not have to do too much mathematics in the area as I was with jusojara and he knew just where to look. I still enjoyed checking out the area. Thanks M_Family for a few fine finds tonight.

29-Feb-12
Having complete the WP for this one some time ago and being disturbed in my search by muggles I returned tonight with hgl and we made a quick find. Thanks M Family for the cache.

23-Feb-12
We found this one after a Mixed Netball game , was fairly late so we were going to have to put on the night vision goggles (hahah I wish lol) . We drove past Sustainable house first but it was way to dark at that location to do that one so we gave this one a shot. We parked and got "A" easily , very appropriate array of PV panels indeed. The darkness made "B" and "C" a little harder and we did walk off in the wrong direction even though we must have been less than 20M from the reqired vantage point. Plugged in the answers and a quick search and we had the cache in hand. This really has been a week of Multi and Puzzle Caches for us ! TFTC and bringing us to another interesting Canberra location.

09-Feb-12
Found @ 1750 while the weather still held. I managed to arrive at GZ just as some sort of event was about to start at the church, as a stream of cars followed me into the previously-deserted carpark - but luckily the first set of numbers were achievable from the comfort of the car, after which I put on my most angelic expression and slipped past the masses. I almost had the wrong info for the second set, but filled in the blanks once I worked out where the third set was. I was reading around 5m off coord (probably the weather) when something caught my eye and the log was soon in hand. TNLNSL-TFTC.

09-Feb-12
I was one of the people at the yoga class, and did the cache when the class had finished. So just missed AmethystPig. Thanks M Family

17-Jan-12
looks like it's still there!

13-Jan-12
Don't know why I haven't done this before, being so close to home! See the church all the time, but didn't know about the garden. Cache found OK and where expected. Didn't realise it was disabled, but the cache is fine!

03-Dec-11
Looks like this one has gone missing, instead you can find some delicious raspberries. It's off line until I can replace it.

23-Oct-11
FurfacesLL no 1 had a shocker here. But quick find for furfacesLL no 2. Nice little multi.

12-Oct-11
I came by here this afternoon and would have liked to have found this cache. I did the math and got GZ co-ords but I was caching alone today and there was plenty of traffic. If I'd had someone with me to watch for muggles I would have had a search, but I felt it better to protect the cache than make the find today. Perhaps next time I'm here I will be able to get it. Thanks anyway M Family.

30-Sep-11
Nice easy multiple thanks. Tftc

09-Jul-11
Having moved to the city a few months ago, I thought I should continue picking up all the caches within walking distance

04-Jul-11
I solved the clues a while back but had to wait for a quiet monday to look for the cache. Iteresting cache highlighting a nice spiritual and environmental combination. TFTC!

25-Jun-11
Fun find on an afternoon out with BatgirlandCo, Mtrax and associated geohounds.

The puzzle was easy enough to solve, although locating the caching took a bit of searching. Nicely hidden, and it was interesting to learn about this church too.

25-Jun-11
Did break out into a good chuckle when I pulled up at this location. The required information was sourced quickly. Locating the cache itself took a little longer and we were sprung at GZ by one of the gardeners. Without sufficient time to think of a reasonable excuse for our actions mtrax decided on the out and out truth..."Ummm Yes...We are Geocaching...It's a bit of a game....yadda, yadda, yadda." .....and we must have suddenly seemed much less dangerous because he then said Fine, ignored us and went along his merry way.

25-Jun-11
after gathering all the required clues and finding the right garden then the tricky job of finding the hidey hole, and after searching Dopplefrog finally found it, but at this exact time one of the Gardeners walked up and wanted to know what we are doing , and given we where pretty well sprung and no alternative execuse came to mind I went with the "treasure hunt" theme, which pretty well satisfied him and off we went to tender his gardens and off we went to find another cache or two..
BTW the feeling is the placement of the solar panels while pretty impressive wasn't all the efficient as it didn't catch the sun effectively

11-Jun-11
#1610 We were very taken with this sustainable Church but as we're from out of town we arrived by NinjaGolf (albeit diesel powered so that's gotta count for something Wink). Enjoyed collecting the information however locating the cache proved to be a little more difficult. After a bit of a search Dad located the very well hidden little blighter. TNLN thanks for the cache M_Family

03-Jun-11
I also did the "sustainable thing" and walked to the cache during my lunch break. Very impressive solar panels! Unfortunately I had not thought to bring any paper with me on my walk, so I had to improvise & use my hand. In the end I almost gave up on the cache as it didn't immediately jump out at me & I felt a little exposed, but on greater reflection the hiding place became clear (but not before I had managed to prickle myself!). TFTC M Family.

31-May-11
Solved this one at the desk using online imagery and some googling!

Made a quick ride'n'grab at night which helped to avoid muggles. It might be an idea to move the 'attachment' device down a bit to help hide things...

07-May-11
I am glad I did the sustainable thing and rode my bike here today.

The solar panels are an awesome idea! The information was gathered pretty readily and then I discovered I was pretty much on the cache- I spotted it pretty quickly and then that was that. TFTC!

03-May-11
Had to return to this one. First time we made it too hard for ourselves

03-May-11
We missed the cache earlier as we got a bit obsessed with another spot and did not look for what now seems to be the obvious! Thanks for the pointer M Family. Sorry it took a while to get back and finish the job!

Gotta love these gardens they are a nice place for people to hang out. We also found a sister cache in the San Francisco community gardens last year. It was just in a tine in the garden so you wandered around until you found it!

28-Apr-11
On the way home after a meeting I decided to try for this cache and had no issues collecting the info and making the appropriate calculations. I like the layout of the solar panels. Coincidence? I doubt it but it would be funny if it was!

It took a little while to spot the container and I felt exposed in such a suburban location, but I'm pretty sure no one would be able to spot it even if they came over to see what I was up to.

05-Mar-11
Had collected the necessary information, but been unable to search for the cache due to muggle activity in the garden. Returned later, chatted to one lady as she left the garden so as not to arouse suspicion and waited for her to get far enough away before a quick find. TFTC

06-Feb-11
Back again today and still thwarted by people inside the garden. Had a bit of a look then retired before someone asked us too many questions.

11-Jan-11
Scored in the company of McPhan, on a quick lunchtime jaunt. Splendid community garden, not so sure of the tastefulness of the positioning of the solar panels, reminds me of something I would see in the USA! Anyhow points for the sustainable minds of the parish.

Thanks for the cache.

11-Jan-11
3889. [font=Century Gothic][green]Way too close to work to have survived this long. I did try to do it one weekend but a gardening crew was in and working around the area so it wouldn't have been smart ( don't say it!). Headed over with ZZ7 today and after doing the calcs started looking immediately Big Grin. Still took a while to find but eventually it turned up, or some other direction.

TFTC and the aspiration. [/green][font=Verdana]

10-Jan-11
Must be my day for churches, this was no 2 is that a message? Best solar array yet seen and very appropriate. Garden impressive also, good use for an old court. TFTC

06-Jan-11
[Found @ 3:52pm

Thanks for replacing this one. After our unsuccessful search on Monday I just had to come back and get this one (Fore!'s in Perth and Shadow! was at work so it was just me today. I had to avoid being observed by two gardeners who arrived just after me plus the guy who was still working on his yard across the road.

I expanded my initial search area and finally made the find.] I think the hint could be a bit more specific about which side to search - I was searching the fenceline on the same side as the sign.

[Thanks for the cache M_Family!!]

04-Jan-11
The cache has been carried away by slaters.

04-Jan-11
Cache is in place again - watch out for prickles and killer slaters.

02-Jan-11
We presume we have the right coords but no cache today. Admittedly with people in the garden working, it was a bit hard to really look.

02-Jan-11
This would have been a good cache - the solar panels (appropriately configured) and rainwater tanks were counted while the sign was read for the right year - unfortunately we (Fore!, Shadow! and Huxley the geohound) were unable to locate the cache despite an intensive search. So intensive that Fore! had to gorge herself on the available fruit!

02-Jan-11
We had a good search for this - interesting church and surrounds, just a shame we couldn't come up with the prize Twisted.

02-Jan-11
It looks like this one may have gone on holidays. I'll check it out tomorrow.

02-Jan-11
Tried this one with allrounder and SHadow! ... looked for ages with Huxley the geohound.. ate raspberries and blackberries and copped my fair share of prickles for my troubles, but no cache. Sad

27-Dec-10
Found the church, got the co-ords, admired the garden, (mmm.... raspberries, they sustained and nourished me in my lengthy search - but only the ones OUTSIDE the fence, of course!!) but couldn't find the cache Sad

30-Nov-10
Was out placing gnomes tonight, and this cache was on the way!. Love the creative use of the solar panels, had no issues with the coords and calcs so soon after the cache was at hand. What a great use of the space, and it's nice to see everything looking so healthy.

TFTC - TNLNSL.

21-Nov-10
Finally logged on the 3rd attempt. First time too many gardeners around (funny that!), second time found the cache but forgot my pen, but third time was a charm. Thanks.

Found with SecretSquirrel-BJC.

Interesting. I like the initiative.

2092+132=2224 with Captain Tomato

Thanks so much for showing us both these interesting tidbits - loved the solar panels, very innovative!

23-Oct-10
Had to come back for this one due to muggles. SL. Thanks! Surprised)

21-Oct-10
This one took three visits to get a gap in the muggles. Apparently after work is very popular here, both in the garden and in the two houses across the road. Thanks.

2876 - A couple of finds after work today...

I like these quick Multis - interesting location where you learn something new, and then the cache ! Only one muggle who luckily was just out of site at GZ.

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

A quick lunchtime grab with Just a Cacher on a run to the post office. SL TFTC

20-Oct-10
An easy grab with Black Bunny at lunchtime. It is good to see the green credentials of the local church. SL Thanks

13-Oct-10
Went by this cache today on the bus going to get other caches nearby, and said hey why not go get this one too. So I finished the other caches and came back to this one. Got to the waypoint and yes the solar panels are in a brillant way. Had a chuckle to myself at it. Found the other stuff and then used the clue to make a quick find. Thanks for bringing me here and Not a bad cache at all TFTC

Interesting! The vegie gardens are such a good idea too!

We had a laugh at the array of solar cells on the roof - very creative. Had no trouble finding the cache, which was good, but had immense trouble with the thermos we were using to hold the water to heat the baby's food (it broke just after the find Sad )

Nice solar panel pattern! Quick find once we had the necessary bits. Very Happy

Reperio at 1730. Like most others I'm sure, we loved the layout of the solar panels. great way of being practical and creative. After a short walk around, I soon came up with the GZ coords, and soon realised the cache was located much closer than I expected.

Gratias M Family for highlighting this location.

08-Oct-10
Ah, tricked me there. Came by yesterday to pick up the clues, but when I went to do the calculation what was showing on my oregon was unclear. Checked the listing later and saw the brackets etc and thought something must be wrong with how the Oregon displayed brackets (or didnt display them, as the case may be).

Anyway, with the help of brackets I worked out some more logical coordinates and a quick stop this morning to find the cache.

Interesting spot, love the arrangement of the solar panels, thanks

05-Oct-10
I've added some extra brackets for the S equation as there has been some confusion. Let me know if it helps. The first part of the equation represents 2 digits.

05-Oct-10
Neat cache, however I was also confused with the South Co-ords. Once I had a go with the numbers in a different way, the hint and the GZ seemed to match.....and the cache was quickly found.

Thanks for showing us another example of how to be green.

As with others, co-ords took a bit of rethinking but the cache soon found.

Did I just miss SDL?

Took a minute or two to replace the cache due to some muggles across the road watching me suspiciously. Managed to return it to it's spot without being spotted.

TFTC!

03-Oct-10
This was the first of two caches we were aiming to pick up on a Sunday evening. Great location, loved the gardens. TFTC!

29-Sep-10
As others have mentioned, there IS an ambiguity in the S coords, but I got there in the end. Detracted from an otherwise excellent cache. Liked the arrangement of the panels, nicely done.

27-Sep-10
The clue wasn't quite clear and we (TaurusSix and I) ended up a short way away, but looking at someone's backyard. Took a punt on an alternative meaning and it was clearly closer. Cache in hand almost as soon as we got back.

26-Sep-10
Well here we were on our caching blitz of the ACT, walking towards number 38 for the weekend when this guy on a deadly treadly pulled up beside us, and Lostmonster said ........."Goodday, top day for a bike ride". ....He then asked us if we had done this cache all ready, "What another Cacher" said Lostmonster, "Thats number two for the day",......We had a quick chat and Bubbles took off. We then quickly finished the cache in hand, and quickly checked the "IPhone" to get the coords for this potential FTF, we got to WP1 pretty quick and Co worked out the Numbers ASAP. Got to GZ and searched about, and very soon Lostmonster had the hide in hand, but alass good old "Tankengine" beat us to the Cache.
Congrats to Tankengine on the FTF, the comp up here for the FTF is red HOT.
Also FYI........... it pays to wear a "GEOCACHING.COM" Tee shirt..................LOL........................Thanks to "Bubble"...................from Team "Bubble & Squeak" for the heads up on a FTF, if Lostmonster was not wearing the "GeoCaching.com" tee shirt Bubble would not have bothered to even slow down, Thanks again Bubble.
