JTP2001 and I spent the afternoon on the 52 Cache Pickup power trail, and having solved this last night, added it to our list for the day. I quite liked this puzzle, thanks heaps for that! The cache was well hidden, and we were impressed by its camo. Its not being found for over a year was evident, so we tidied up the inside a little - when we picked it up at GZ, part of it was left behind, so we reassembled it as best we could. TFTC!

27-Jan-24
This was quite a fun puzzle to solve. Cache was well camoed, I actually picked it up and put it to the side before Bapboy1996 noticed a piece of it which had stayed behind. Cleaned some dirt out of the cache as best we could. TFTC

27-Dec-22
A plan was made with Gorby and tramyard to travel down from Auckland to Turangi for a celebration event at Stump Bay on the 27th before heading up to camp at Huntly and attending a celebration event on the 28th. In total, we traveled 740km over the two days.

Decided to find a few caches before dinner, as we still had daylight hours left. I had solved this puzzle ages ago, but hadn't been out this way for a while. Luckily it was late and GZ was quiet. Tramyard found the cache, but the log was so wet and manky that we couldn't even sign the log.

27-Dec-22
On a 2 day adventure with tramyard and our driver in her car, Aiden29! We went down to Turangi for Jägersmum and FMZ's event this morning, then we have whizzed back up Tirau way for caching there. Now we are here in Huntly campground. I have set up my tent as have the others. Ready for dinner soon but in the mean time we are waiting for rusty and Rebel to show up (also westies like me).

So in the mean time we do a few caches inc this one, Aiden did the hard yards on this cache and so we all sign in. Now off to other caches further south from here.

27-Dec-22
Found it while staying at the campsite in Huntly for tomorrow's CCE at the domain with Aiden29 and Gorby.

This has been on my solved list for a year or 3 sooooo time to sign off for a smilie. Nice easy but sneaky find thx. So many cars on the roads its crazy.

28-May-21
Was in the area picking up some other solved puzzles and this was on my list.
I am a Geriatric Puzzlephobiatric..
Sounds awful doesnt it!
Luckily I have some good GC friends who have been helping me start to solve puzzles....as running out of trads in Auckland!
Was on this actual road today so pulled over for a quick find.

10-Aug-20
I was in Hamilton at a bit of a loose end while the snail shell was having some maintenance done on it and what better way to spend the time finding some caches.

I had solved this one 9 years ago and have just finally got round to signing it off.

Cheers for the cache.

21-Jun-20
Nice little puzzle one spotted the pattern. Easy find today. TFTC!

22-Feb-20
Solved this a while ago in anticipation of our trip to the Waikato with Team Gold. Quick find on our way to get the remaining caches in the 52 pick up series.

21-Feb-20
Heading south today with Team Gold ( 0B80B8, Lis's Crew & DaffyNZ ), from Northland to do a weekend caching trip in the Waikato, with the main objective being the Hakarimata Trail. We also wanted to pick up the Pickup 52 ones we missed last time.

Had solved this one in preparation for our trip so made sure to stop off here for a search and a quick find too. TFTC

21-Feb-20
I'm heading down from Paihia to the Hamilton area for a geocaching weekend with team G0LD: Geocachers: 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ. They're going to walk the Hakarimata track. I got shin splints training for the walk so unfortunately I can't join them.

We're just picking up a few caches today on the way down. I was pleased with my weekend tally: Fri 26, Sat 28, Sun 27. The cache here was a quick find. I hadn't solved this before the trip but I did solve it at home afterwards (6.3.20) and it was an fun, easy puzzle. I really do enjoy puzzles so I'm not a puzzlephobiatric, TFTC Smile

21-Sep-19
Had a great day in Huntly picking up some caches. The weather was beautiful and giving us a taste of summer. Thanks to all the COs for taking me to Huntly’s interesting places Great puzzle and nice quick pick TFTC

20-Sep-19
Solved this puzzle ages back...passing by today so pulled in to get it...one of us nearly gave up but luckily the cool camo was soon in hand ...but as aptly described by the previous cacher the log was awful.. replaced log signed and returned ...its been a while since it was found ..and has stood the test of time .
Thanks cashkids great puzzle cache

20-Sep-19
This is a highly populated area during the working week. I had come here before but was very aware of the muggles. Came back today and full of trucks, but one by one they left. Hunted and nearly gave up. Found a small plastic bag but no log. Mmmm. One last upheaval and the true cache was discovered. Very good camo and well suckered in. Thanks for the awesome puzzle and cache.

16-Sep-18
Solved this so long ago I can't even remember how so I'll have to go back and redo it. Never in the area until today. The clever camouflage had me fooled and the GPS was playing up but I eventually returned to the scene of the crime and found the cache. Log wet and disintegrating so I'll send a photolog. TFTC.

08-Jul-18
Knowing I was going to be in the area to do 52 pickup and a few other caches and not suffering from puzzlephobia I solved this before heading down. There were a couple of places to check out but Mrs Jag found the cache in the first spot she checked. Signed as BOPnJAM as we had joined forces with a crowd from BOP

08-Jul-18
Out for a day's caching with Team BOPnJam. Being honest here - As i only got the phone call late the night before i didn't solve the puzzle. But being out in the area with those who had solved it I was able to get the smiley. One day when I need a challenge on a cold wet day (when I am unable to get out and cache i will give the puzzle a go).

08-Jul-18
In the general area with a team of cachers from West Auckland and the BOP we signed ourselves in as BOPnJAM to save room on the log. The cleverly camo'd cache was found in the first place we looked. TFTP

08-Jul-18
Out with friends today collecting caches for the hidden creatures souvenirs this power trail was a good option to get half the souvenirs. Looks like it was a busy day on the trail with alot of people having the same idea.
Thanks MC Clan .

08-Jul-18
Another big trip planned this time in an effort to obtain all the Hidden Creature Souvenirs. Team BOP (Davidson clan, McJandals, Frogybecaching, TNXPro & myself) joined with a couple of Westies (Jag50&Merlot58) to fill up the van and clear Huntly off the caching map Smile We signed the logs as BOPnJAM for expedience and to save on log space.

This puzzle was a straight forward solve and provided a nice break from the 52 Cache Pickup Series. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers cashkids, TFTC.

Out with team BOPnJAM today to knock off the long anticipated 52.
This puzzle was found while attacking the 52 pickup and was a welcomed relief.
The puzzle was a straight forward solve even for me.

With Hidden Creature souvenirs up for grabs. A plan was hatched with our Westie buddies. We were all ready for a stormy rainy day but the weather gods were good to us today with no rain until getting home at 10pm. A fun day was had by all and many thanks To all the COs for giving us a reason to come here. We had a nice mixture of cache containers, types, DTs and hides. We signed as BOPnJAM to save room on the logs. Please excuse my cut and paste logs in advance due to numbers. Cheers for the great puzzle and time taken to set up.

11-May-18
Solved this cache recently before our trip down this way; was hoping it was the right position but seemed okay when I checked on the map. I searched the intended target without initially finding the cache so moved on to another place that was obviously wrong. After returning to the first spot I dug around a little more and found the very nicely camo'd and partly submerged cache. All in good shape here. TFTC, FP added.

After getting some caches in Orini it was a hop skip and a large jump to get this one tftc

05-Jan-17
2693 Solved this today while watching the cricket on TV. Wondered about this for awhile but once I got the key it fell into place. After FnC with ABCDF4 in Huntly I picked this one up on the way back to the Tron.

Together with arbor95 I am on a holiday tour in New Zealand. Cool

We are two Germans, old friends since a long time. Together we visited a lot of other countries in the past, even before we started geocaching. [^]

For our trip we usually looking for some extraordinary caches. Wink

Therefore we had mostly a lot of fun. Big Grin

Thank You very much for this geocache, for the challenge and for the maintaining.

Greetings from tripleclaus to cashkids. Smile

On a mission today to find some solved puzzles and other caches in the Huntly area. Mrs nzk looked at this puzzle a while back, and was intrigued but unsure what to do with it. Then it popped up on the radar again last week, and everything fell into place for a quick solve this time. Today we spend some time looking at the wrong hint object, before coming back to the correct one and finally spotting the well-camoed cache, which we had somehow missed before!! Haha. It's in good condition despite being unfound for a while. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks cashkids for the puzzle and the cache (no puzzle phobia in this household)!! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

21-Mar-15
Solved this one ages ago and passing by so made a small diversion to grab this one at long last. GPS had me another 10m or so down the bank but given the terrain rating, thought better of making this harder than it needed to be! Cache found in the most obvious spot it could have been, TFTPC! Big Grin

22-Nov-14
We are chipping away at the GIO License Challenges... Out with Gap (of Fap and Gap). Our plan is to tidy up areas where we've missed caches for whatever reason. Our journey today will take us from Hamilton to Huntly, and parts in between...

Well... I wouldn't say we suffer from puzzlephobia, but it has taken us a while to warm to them. Nothing is more satisfying than cracking a puzzle and finding the cache. We admit to needing nudges... and sometimes shoves in the right direction. Found the cache after a brief look across the road. TFTP and TFTC.

22-Nov-14
4pm - Uncharted waters alright, but floundered way there in the end, started looking on wrong side of road but soon found. SLTFTC

17-Oct-14
I had 'solved' this puzzle some time back. So as I was travelling down through the Waikato it was on my list of solved caches that needed to be signed off. As I approached 'GZ' I realised that my 'solution' was wrong as I discovered that my answer was only 40m from another cache!! Sad This necessitated another look at the puzzle and I found that a simple rearrangement of numbers might be all that was required. And so it proved. Big Grin. TFTC

Great puzzle that has been on the solved list for way too long. Out this way today cleaning up a few caches so had to stop and collect this. Took awhile to get into cache but no problems once I had it open. Thanks for the cache and the puzzle

07-Jul-14
out with 11hpg11 to kill a few caches, ticking another ****** puzzle of the list, tftc

11-Jul-13
Enjoyed the puzzle. Quick find. Thanks

13-Apr-13
Had planned an afternoon down here and wanted to grab some some solved puzzles while I was at it so after a nice stroll round Lake Hakanoa and a quick feed tried my luck here before heading back up the road. Parked one whole metre away from the cache and made a quick find and sign before heading back. Enjoyable puzzle and a nice cache. Thanks!

26-Feb-13
Solved without too many problems about a year ago, tried to collect the other day but had put some digits around the wrong way so had to consult CO to find out my error.
Cache all good.

30-Jan-13
I had looked at this a couple of times in England but never really got around to solving it. In the knowledge that I would probably be in the area today I put in some effort and made a breakthrough. Coordinates discovered and so I parked up and found the clever cache after a brief search. A great puzzle which I have not come across before! Thank you!

31-Dec-12
nice find

31-Dec-12
Made this our last one for 2012 thanks

Solved a while ago in anticipation of a visit to Huntly TFTC cashkids

30-Aug-12
Was in the Waikato for work and decided that since I was in the area that I would go and pick up a few of the puzzle caches that I have solved but never really had a chance to get them, I thought that I might be the best opportunity that I was going to get for a while.

After a short drive after finding another cache down the road it really didnt take too for me t make my way to GZ, arriving at GZ I was able to find a carpark not too far from the cache and then a quick walk to GZ and I soon managed to get my hand on the cache. What a nice little spot for the cache, glad to get this cache off my list of unfound solved puzzles. Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (4742)

04-Aug-12
Out today collecting caches in and around Huntly with Novalightning hoping to work our way through most of the town, nice drive out to here and nice to wrap up another even with a large nudge in the right direction, TFTC

04-Jun-12
Back again today to put right the mistakes of my past visit. Super quick find this time around; only inches from where I was looking previously. [:o)] Anyway, I liked the puzzle and found it very intuitive to decipher. Nice job! Cheers for the cache! Smile

26-May-12
Great puzzle, figured it out quickly but got something slightly wrong first time I tried to slove it. Got it right second time thou, not to sure what I did wrong. Nice and easy find.

29-Apr-12
Stopped by for a quick find on my way to another leg-burner. Realised today that I overcomplicated the solve by not finding some extra info when I looked at this puzzle several weeks ago.Red Face Gotta laugh! Big Grin TFTPC

08-Apr-12
Well, this is cause for Red Face. While I had checked the cache page before heading out this morning, I didn't note the new note and hint. Based on the old hint I did a sloopy search at GZ and then went off on a wild goose chase after trying to "correct" my coords. Oh well, there is always next time.

07-Apr-12
Good puzzle. Solved it before I saw the spoiler photo. Nice hide too. NINO TFTC

02-Apr-12
A nice puzzle and easy to locate cache. Grabbed today after collecting a few caches that i missed last trip.

02-Mar-12
Finally had a chance to be passing at the same time as the cache being available. This has been on my "to collect" list for a-g-e-s. Finally found. Thanks.

13-Jan-12
The vanishing cache mystery may be solved!
Now GZ has consumed 3!!
Not the previous finders fault though.
Constructing a suitable Ground level replacement

11-Jan-12
This was on our "Must Do" puzzles cache list. Loved the puzzle and when we parked near GZ the hiding place was spotted nice and quickly. Big Grin Cache formalities completed, however it was the replacement of the cache that quickly turned out elated mood into one of despair Sad Due to the nature of the hiding place the cache fell into the void Surprised and was unable to be retrieved. The guilt meter on this cache became a 10/10 and there was no possible way to get the cache back. Our biggest apologies for this as I see it has only just been replaced but I fear that due to the nature or the structure that hides the cache there must be a nice little pile of them in the void. Maybe this is where all those caches go that we can't find. Once again, we are very sorry. (edited due to incorrect date)

11-Jan-12
Great puzzle, quite a favourite. As Team Welsh has told you relacing cache was a bit of a disater - so sorry!

27-Dec-11
Good to go again

16-Oct-11
The final cache is absent so disabled until able to replace

29-Jun-11
Visited the cache early June but didnt have the right tools to retrieve the cache. On the next trip to Auckland brought the right tools but thanks to Jaybee it was a bit more accessible. Just had to wait for those using the GC zone as a smoking rest stop to move on. Original hide and cache.

29-Jun-11
Solved the puzzle some time ago but had to wait until passing and remembering at the same time. Took a couple of goes to retrieve the GC.
SL, TFTC.

20-Jun-11
Clever hide. Had to use a nearby poking instrument to get cache out. Cheers for Cache and Puzzle.

20-Jun-11
Solved this last night after many sleepless nights but finally cracked it. Then this poor old fella had to go out in the rain. Splendid puzzle and hide. TFTC

25-Apr-11
Lots of goats watching us find this one. Worked out by Miles. Need good eyes to see this one.

Part of a cache spree with Willbuild today. Thanks

Clever puzzle and quick find with cops just along the road, booking someone. TFTC.

6274 A nice easy solve in the car while heading north, many thanks cashkids for a puzzle for the phobiatrics.

22-Jan-11
Heading north so a good opportunity to call back in. There was almost one less goat in the world when one ran in front of the car travelling at 100 km/hr just in front of me. I just saw a cloud of tyre smoke and then a goat running completely unscathed into the bushes.
Thanks for reinstating the cache.

15-Jan-11
3380 Ahhh Cheers Greg for the replacement cache, can't understand how the original could disappear but ... cue the theme to the Twilight Zone ...... spooky things happen out this way. Thanks for the puzzle Mr Kid, even if it was an ultra fast solve!

09-Jan-11
Called upon some local assistance to enable this listing again with a temp cache until I can remake a new one..Thanks to MCC...cheers Greg! Big Grin
All good to go....

08-Jan-11
Out of order till replacement cache is ordered.

08-Jan-11
Gosh only TWO finds and then 'POOF' it goes missing - hope you are stomping out there and replacing it, so KC, Zorgon and Geckoh can find it!!! Big Grin

PS we solved it within 1 minute of publication but there aint no geochecker to prove otherwise...........

Cool cache title. Sadly no sign of the cache at GZ. There is only one possible hiding place so looks to me like it is missing. Might be worth a look?

03-Jan-11
Definitely no puzzle phobiatrics in our house - maybe a couple of puzzle maniacs.
Didn't take long to come up with the solution to this enjoyable puzzle. Made a quick find on our way through the Waikato today. Thanks for the fun.

Oh-no a cashkids puzzle cache in my own backyard and no geo-checker.......what shall I do?

FTS and FTF on a wet day, stumbled a bit at the end of the puzzle, but got there in the end. Had to chase the goats away from GZ and spotted the familiar container.

Thanks Cashkids Smile

28-Dec-10
Nice puzzle, quick solve. Will collect next week. Thanks!

28-Dec-10
Solved within 2 minutes of publishing, but we were a good 3.5 hours drive away, so didn't rush. Had lunch and then set off, detouring for the FTF at the wind farm. Found this one just 2 hours behind McCutchan Clan Smile. Fun, quick little puzzle, and a nice drive down this side of the river. I wonder if another similar spot could have been found for the hide though as, to be honest, it was a bit unpleasant to have to step through household rubbish to get to the cache [?]. In any case, TFTC!!! Big Grin
