I obviously hadn't done my homework properly as I didn't expect to arrive in Morgan as early as I did. However, this enabled me to do a lot more caching, and this was one of the ones that I found but hadn't expected to get to until tomorrow. TFTC SL

We'd had several days of heavy rain (we needed it ) but the cracked container had a wet logbook . Rummaged through our cache maintenance collection and left a replacement container with a new dry log book.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.

The group grew from two to six quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.
Our team “The Mob” now consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves and feathertop joined us on day 4. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.
All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.

Day 6 After finishing the On Your Bike and Around the World in 81, Ode to JLWE and Riddlers Roonka Rampage, our get up and go was still going so we headed to the TdU.
On our way to the TdU we came across this one. No issues finding this one.

Thanks for the hide Flying Firesafe and thanks for the fun "The Mob"

06-Apr-21
For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

Onto day 6 and back out onto the On Your Bike series we go to finish it off. Once we had finished that, we made our way to some Around the World multis, Riddlers Roonka/Ode to JLWE Series, the TdU series and even managed to do the TdF series! It was a big day. We picked up a few caches along the way, travelling along the way was GoodLook, The Drovers, LiB, FurfacesLL, FeatherTop and myself.

A quick pick up as we were passing nearby, no issues with the find, stamped and replaced as found.

Thanks for the hides firesafe Big Grin And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

After the rampage series was complete our ambitious group of 7 turned our cars towards the TDU caches.
On the way we stopped here for a quick find.

We stamped the log as 'The Mob'
'The Mob' included:- GoodLook, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, the Drovers and myself
Thanks Flying Firesafe

Flapping the arms did work I'm afraid.

Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.

The series that we tackled during this trip included The Paddle Steamer, The Turtle, On Your Bike, Around the World, The TdU, The TdF and some Roonka puzzles put out for a June Long Weekend some time ago. Plus many random caches that we passed. So pleased we had a group of experienced cachers including tree and ladder climbers, AND a 7.5m ladder AND a 12m telescopic pole!

2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".

LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.

We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.

We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).

A sincere thanks to firesafe for placing this cache. Big Grin

Day 3 in the area, and after completing the bike series, we then moved on to the following series:-
Riddlers Roonka Rampage Challenge
Ode to JLWE
TdU series
a few of the new ones in the TdF series,
and a few others in the area, this being one of them.

Pulled over in the geo-vehicle, dust flying everywhere.
The hide was soon discovered, signed and replaced as found.

We stamped the log as 'The Mob' to save space and time.
'The Mob' this time included:- GoodLook, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop and ourselves.
Many thanks for placing this cache, firesafe, for us and others to find.

Last full day of caching before we head home tomorrow.

fitzy_1965, the geo-kids & I decided to head over to Blanchetown to do the Riddler series, JLWE series and whatever else we could find in the area. Today was the hottest by far and, with no working air-con in the car, it made for a hard day of caching. I did manage to get to 10,000 finds so that was a nice highlight.

All caches were found quickly and in good condition unless otherwise stated.

23,289. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.

This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 14 of our adventures took us around the Riddlers Roonka Rampage Challenge series, the Ode to June Long Weekend series, the Tour de France series, plus cherry picking some other caches along the way. All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. A nice quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Flying Firesafe !!

Today, it was an epic day out targeting various series around Blanchetown, Waikerie and Swan Reach. After making a few miscellaneous stops in the Barossa and Truro towards Blanchetown, my first series were the *Riddlers Roonka Rampage Challenge* and *Ode to JLWE*, and those were found reasonably quickly.
After lunch, the late plan was completing the *Around the World in 81 caches* series, and they were certainly a challenge whilst solo. As light began to fade, I made a stop in Swan Reach Conservation Park, where I found various geocaches and completed the *On This Day (OTD) August* series.
With limited time remaining in Adelaide, I think it was FOMO that prolonged my motivation for such a long day.

This was my final point whilst finding the two nearby series, and thankfully, it was a quick find of the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Flying Firesafe for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After attending an early CITO in the city Doctor Owl, sushilord and myself headed towards Blanchetown with the target caches being the JLWE series as well as others that we came across on our travels. We had a great day with perfect weather for caching, saw kangaroos, emus, sleepy lizards, lots of pretty birds, pelicans and even a wombat so we were very happy with our wildlife experience along with the caching. Had a successful day with all caches found and a couple of containers replaced. [^]

We had just finished the JLWE series and decided to continue on to get this one before heading for home. A quick find along with a bag full of empty cans. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache Flying Firesafe. Smile

Found while out for a day of really good caching with Dr Owl and JJ52.

It was here that Dr Owl's and JJ's days were fulfilled when a wombat was spotted hopping across the road. Their only disappointment for the day was not seeing an echidna in the wild.

Thanks for the cache Flying Firesafe.

01-Oct-19
Out for a caching expedition with JJ52 and Sushilord on a beautiful day. The wildlife was enjoying it as well, as numerous shingleback lizards had to be dodged on the back roads, emus, parrots and kangaroos were spotted and even a galloping wombat - the first Owl has seen in the wild! Numerous caches were gathered and signed, and there was even time to admire the scenery. That's the life! This was a profitable cache, with about $1 in cans collected. Not enough to cover the petrol, but a welcome help!

The cache hunt today with ilook4geo had a few different aspects. We selected a few along the road to get us going in the right direction, then we followed a couple of trails that were of particular interest. Finally we started the first few of another series which we will need to finish later on. All logs had two lots of initials recorded on them, each cache was put back as it had been found and we continued with the hunt. This was one of the caches we found. Thanks go to Flying Firesafe for placing this cache.

This morning we left Bower and headed to Morgan. As we had already travelled the direct route to Waikerie we decided to come down this road to Blanchetown and then head across to where we were going. All started well and we were on a lovely sealed road but suddenly we were on gravel. It was a good gravel road but still dusty which isn't great when you're in a campervan that doesn't have brilliant seals on the door.
Our GPS was saying this one was on the left but the clue was on the right so Mr Beetle jumped out and made the quick find.
Such stony land. We pick the odd rock up on our farm at home but we've really got nothing to worry about!!!!
Thanks.

Find #8513

After a good nights sleep, lukie1987 and I decided on a bit of a numbers run as we gradually headed towards Adelaide after our road trip from Melbourne to Alice Springs and back was coming to an end. After finishing up the TdF series, we decided to make our way towards Swan Reach where we would camp for the night.

An odd spot for a cache. What if.... Anyway, still there after 6+ years so should be OK. [:o)]

Many thanks to Flying Firesafe for the cache. TNLN.

Okay so we made it to Truro for lunch. Maybe we might make Morgan by dinner time Razz

Being Good Friday it looks like everything has shut up already so we decide to grab some caches and then figure out what to do. We invaded the servo/deli/cafe/takeaway just as it was closing and manage to get a feed. Gave up our plans of Burra and turned for home instead. Of course we made a few more stops on the way! [:o)]
