This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today leaving Whyalla, we headed down the Lincoln Highway, passing through Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay, Port Neill, and Tumby Bay. Just prior to lunch, we also completed the *Cleve Cleaver* geoart trail. A rather long day of geocaching numbers, but the inland and coastal towns were enjoyable to visit, along with the various picturesque beaches along the way.
Whilst finding a nearby active cache, we decided to have a quick search for this archived cache, that TeamAstro had previously replaced before it got archived. We had a look in the logical place as per this geocache's name, but there doesn't appear to be anything around the place. Consequently, it feels like this cache has been cleaned up and removed in the last seven years, so all good. Thanks anyway kim rose.

No response from owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note.. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Found on the way to Port Lincoln. It was very hard to get out but managed it. Signed log. TFTC
This one's in my back yard so to speak and I was sad to have missed it when I saw it had been disabled, but all good now it's back. A nice easy find, thanks
Thanks to Team Astro for the replacement cache, you put it back where the original cache was. Just like the last cache I made a tool for retrieving the cache and placed it behind the monument for other cachers to use. Time to re-list this one Kim Rose (email Ministro)
I didn't even know this one had been archived, or I wouldn't have tried to find it. Bus as it was I walked straight to it and there it was. Nice new Eclipse tin with a nice new logbook.
Thanks kim rose for the cache.
Better un-archive it!

Found on the "I'm not Diving with the Great White Sharks trip". A great day weather wise and caching wise driving from Adelaide to Port Lincoln.
This one had gone and confirmed after paffing. A suitable replacement was sourced from the kit and all is now sweet.
Thanks to kim rose and clear skies from TeamAstro.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.
By reading a previous note on the cache we did not think it was there , we stopped and looked but no Think its flown the coop.
A nice quick find and sign while the kids and dad kicking footy about. TNLNSL. TFTC.
This was a nice easy find found once passing traffic had raced through. Didn't go into Tumby today but we did a day later.

After a week 4WDing the Lincoln National Park and surrounds it was time to head home. We only made it to Whyalla tonight and it took 9 hours but we did make 46 finds.

We passed here yesterday not knowing of the cache and intending to book in (to the caravan park) and settle for the night. Found easily and log signed. Thanks to kim rose for the cache.
Just leaving Tumby after a cold few days visit. Hundreds of pelicans and I am sure they are the biggest I have seen.

Found at 3.45pm GAFF1. Nearly gave up on this one. Could see it, but there was no way that we could access it being so deep down the gap.
Used a stick to jiggle it here and there and suddenly it popped out from the side!
Replaced it in a much easier location for future cachers.
Thanks kim rose.

Located quickly enough. Then needed a stick and H12's fingers to retrieve it.

This is quite a welcoming sign, once at gz it didn't take us long to locate the cache. It took us a little while longer to extract it though, fortunately some one had left an extraction device very close by at the back of the sign and we were soon signing the log
Thanks kim rose for he cache

Needed a stick to get it out... I left the stick tucked behind the monument for the next cachers to save them having to find another. Clever hide in a very public place, we had to make out to be taking photos... TFTC
A legitimate spot to take distracting photo's whilst searching for this neat little cache.TFTC
Rocky Glen Grommets pulled over to the side of the road, looked both ways and soon had the cache in hand - great pelican! Thanks for the cache - look forward to our return (hopefully before next year's EP Round!).
Easy find with a couple of the bandar. They are getting good at this.. The 12 year old took us righ to the spot and worked out the name. The 13 year old found the cache in about 2 mins. Both were thrilled, and so was I. I think this might be my 200 th cache.
Kids pretended to pose for photos as a decoy from all the holiday traffic & grain trucks. Amazing that a GPS that most certainly doesnt take photos can come in handy as a camera

I thought this would be a quick easy one on the way to lincoln, lucky it was with so much traffic around
Our first Kim Rose cache for the day.
It seemed like peak hour here today, cars going every which way.
Read the hint looked at wrong spot and looked at other one. Nice.
Took photo and continued on the Lincoln.

sorry about late log thought we had logged this nice place to have a home for a cache found on a round trip emptying salvatoin army donation bins tftc was a bit worried that the other pelicans and this one might think we had fish and grab my arm sl and then we were out of there .keep up the great work good to see other cachers putting new caches out for others to find we hope 2011 is a safe and wonderful year take care happy caching and travel safely.
Heading home from Tumby, said to Bubbles8,"have you got the one here?" No was the answer to that, so U-turn it was, and with no GPS it was a process of elimination, and bingo, got it within 30 seconds. TFTC
Found it on the way home from visiting Mum and Dad with Tweety2. Tweety2 asked if we had found it and because the answer was in the negative we had to do a Uee and find it without a GPS. No problems.

I think that is it soar, but no matter. The cache was a quick find in the neat hide, thanks kim rose.
Quick trip to Lincoln. Grabbed a few caches on the way. Thought we had a chance at gold on this, but will settle for a silver so far from home! TFTC kim rose.
