28-Jul-24
We spent at least half an hour looking for this cache, but were distracted by breaching whales, and the sound of them calling to each other. What a spectacular experience! Thought we weren't going to find it but finally fluked it. Someone has replaced the log, but it's still the old container. Thanks for a wonderful hunt.

25-Jul-24
No find for us. Sad spot. TFTC

05-Jul-24
Spent a good 15 mins looking and feeling but no luck today. We came for the HMAS Sydney memorial to honour my late Father aWW2 naval veteran who always wondered where the ship lay. They found the site shortly before he died, so he at least knew that it had been foundCheersLead n Lace

06-Jul-23
We are camped at Quobba Station for a couple of days and after an unexpectedly tough 5km walk, I decided what's another 3km round trip from camp. Arrived at gz and with so many options... got to work eliminating each rock. After circling gz then walking towards it from the ocean side, I spotted the sneaky hide under a rock Id previously dismissed. Tftc

Wow took me a while, had to get on my hands and knees

04-Jun-23
It wasn’t the quickest of finds and hats off to those who said it was. Read past logs and got a hint from one of the posted photos that led Geo-hubby to point out the likely candidate but he didn’t spot the cache. I approached from another angle and saw the container. We had thought of replacing the mint tin but it is a perfect camo in its present state so decided against it. Found a few mts from where our gps indicated. Thanks for the hide ZH

28-May-23
Couldn't resist the urge to grab 'just one more' whilst making the trip South at the end of a quick trip to WA.
Enjoyed exploring this area, and the little history lesson!
Glad to have had a prompt on what to look for and where.
Cache container is a little rusty, but it and the log are still serviceable.
Thanks for another reason to explore this beautiful area and coastline!

I'm winding my way up to Exmouth for the eclipse Smile Arrived into Carnarvon yesterday and a very enjoyable evening rendezvous at the pub with friends making their own way up from Perth. Today we are heading north to Gnaraloo Station for a few days and picking up a few caches along the way. This was our final cache stop before heading on into Gnaraloo. A few DNFs here before us so was stoked to make the find fairly quickly. All ok here - TFTC

25-Aug-22
Found after a great day at the beach and blowhole. I am really interested in the history of this terrible battle between the Sydney II and the Kormond during WWII. Tragic that no Australian Sailors survived.

07-Aug-22
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

Enjoying this piece of coast and all the history. This took a bit but eventally found it under a rock that was a liitle different from the rest.

Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.
