Had a good look around. Did not find. Fear it is lost under some recent earth works
Maybe the owner needs to check on this one as there has been a some ground work done here. We was approached by the caretaker of the area during the search and after explaining her about what we were doing she left us to it. She did warn us about the new top soil that has been spread there has lots of broken bottles!
#967: "I'll Be The Roundabout..."
This song kept running through my head as we approached this one, but I'm old . Not as much traffic around at this time of late evening, so we went in to have a look. This was near the end of a mammoth day of caching (132 finds in all), and TikvaNZ and I were happy to be doing some by car for a change. All in good shape!

With a few hours of daylight left after completing the Dalmations and Piggies (109 caches) 8ManAfter and I continued to cache as we headed to the CBD. This find made it 117 for the day so far. TFTC

It was evening by the time we got to this one, so was all quiet as we headed to GZ. Took GC to move on. TFTC.
Glad the restaurant was close so we could park near by the cache. Our maps were showing the old road layout with proposed versions of what was actually there so it made for some interesting exploring in the area. TFTC.
Well Bush Baching was not the best idea with a rolled ankle.... But we found the Treasure soon after finding GZ.
Quick(ish) cache and dash on my way to Whenuapai village. I was attached by the nice spikey trees on my way back to the road.

Took a bit of bashing around in the bushes, but finally got there.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Very wet under foot, but discovered easily. TFTC.....picked up 3TB's - cache was a bit overcrowded
On the hunt for some spots to drop off TBs. Added another one to the collections here. TFTC.
A quick find with Crystal Fairy after dark, the last cache of the day in the area. Signed log, TFTC!
Man has the scenery changed in this are since the motorway went in!. Found cache and log. t4tc
Was looking for an old road. But GPS took me into an old forest. Hint was essential, but there were still several options before uncovering the cache.
Hadn't been caching for awhile due to illness, felt I was upto a cache on the way back from a trip out to parakai for a soak . Had hubby with me so had to be a quick one as he's not a cacher and not a happy sitter while I cache, some people just don't get it [xx(]. More roundabouts than planes out here now. TFTC #800
took the harder route in and spent longer searching than was really necessary.
once located was easier out the other side

Found with Biggles while caching in the area. Lots still going on with the roundabouts. TFTC
Found on day 1 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Whew, with all the new roads getting built we were lucky to get routed to the right one. Approached from the wrong angle but got to GZ OK. Spotted the cacher trail on our way out. TFTC, Biggles.
Nice hide, although a bit prickly if you look in the wrong place TFTC
Introduced my brother and nephew to GC for this one.

Out this way on a caching spree. Seems the council was really into round-a-bouts the day they approved the new section of motorway. Quick find once at GZ. TFTC.
3568 Nice quick find, always interesting to see all the work in progress, something changes everytime we come here - a little frustrating for our in ca GPS as 'the man' has to recalculate! Thanks for the cache Kev!
Nice hide near construction of the new motorway
Lovely restaurant tucked away here

Thought this would be an easy find, lots of places to look, but I soon had the cache. Thanks
Doing a tour on mountainbikes around Whenuapai airbase we found this without too much hassle. Not the most scenic spot, but maybe the council will clean things up a bit soon. Thanks.
18:19 - Found on my home after caching over the bridge today with G2, I had just pulled up and who should turn up but members of Kevs Team. Thanks for inviting me back for a coffee, which was very nice. Thanks for the cache as well.
Out and about in the area late on xmas night so treated myself for a few caches. Had to track back to GZ to locate my missing blackberry. No sign of a GC TFTC.
#692 Stopped in on our way home this evening. Pitch black, in training for those night FTF runs... realise we need 2 torches not just one, but sent half the team on to GZ, and surprised ourselves by locating it in the dark. SL. TFTC.
5348 Followed the geotrail around the many roundabouts, before finding the cache. TFTC.
No problems- just followed the trail.
Would be great onces this is all finished.

All quiet on the construction front today, nice little path to follow in too. TFTC
I didn't stop today as there was alot of roading activity in the area, I will return on another day.
Around we go..! No one around this evening perfect timing. This one is sure let your feet do the walking, follow along the geo trail!! Nice place must come here again. Thanks for the adventures! TFTC.
All I had to do was follow the geo-trail. The area leading to GZ starting to look a bit the worse for wear. Quick find once there though. TFTC
Took a detour on our way home to visit some new caches in the area. Felt like we were in someones garden but we followed the geotrail to GZ T4TC.
Parked at the 2nd of the trio of new Whenuapai caches - our home territory - and had barely got out of the car when we were muggled by the neighbours arriving home and wondering what we were up to. A quick explanation later and we began the hunt. Spotted the trail into the bushes, and checked several likely spots before we found the cache. Thanks for the second FTF of the night.
FTF # 304
This whole area is unrecognisable now, with 3 new roundabouts and a motorway overbridge where there used to be a quiet country road.
