TFTC nice find out and about with geo wife LynSteNet on a Saturday morning collecting smileys for the map
TFTCOut with geo hubby Animal62 collecting as many caches as possible to fill our maps with smiley faces. Thanks for the opportunity to add this one.
We took one look at the goat track that lead to this cache, and thought we wouldn't subject the rental Suzuki Swift to this sort of punishment.
The 3 Stooges are hitting Yorkes Peninsula again, WayneAPN, weredunn4 and myself, looking to knock off more of the Gone Fishing Series.Any other caches of interest will be tackled along the way too of course I had to check this out Friday night, but its been 13 months since we last tackled this series as a grouptoo long Our trips away are always a bundle of fun, ranging from abundant dad jokes, banter, hatching plans of future trips, crap being thrown around about weredunn4s 2 minute loo (I mean poo) stops , baked bean talk and the list goes onSuffice to say, these are always great trips away All caches found and stamped. Any caches needing maintenance, we did our best to restore them to good health whether that be an additional log or new container. Thanks to all the COs for the caches we found this weekend, without you we dont have this game TFTC

A cold, cloudy winter’s day had us caching towards and around Curramulka although we didn’t actually make it to the township itself before we had to head back home…..spent too long trying for some interesting puzzles, but had a great few hours nonetheless
Mr sylken was delighted when he managed to solve this one after a lot of ‘fiddling’ to find the right way so a favourite point on it’s way from us

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Another Wednesday wander for a few of the befuddled animals. The target was once more the tedious Gone Fishn series taking relief with this and others scattered around the area for which we were thankful. TFTC

A trio of geo animals ventured forth.
This took longer than it should have to find.
About to give up, when the cache was spotted.

Still heading into Curry for lunch we had stopped at a certain windmill cache and then came to this cache through some very long grass over the track but luckily the road got better used close to GZ and I found a open place to park. [^] The coords took us to well - nowhere near anything really but looking about we could see lots of trees and even more rocks to search. After about 20 minutes we still hadn't found anything. A scan of logs and the owner says it is here. Other thought it was about 8 metres out. [:(!][:(!] Checked the geocheck again. This should be the place. Well when in doubt spread out. Another 20 minutes searching and the snake eventually found it on the other side of the road from where the GPS wanted me. Name in log I looked at GPS - 12m away with 4m accuracy. Just saying.
Another Wednesday Wander for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solvers. Today myself Blackadders and SA Sewer Rats headed over to Yorke Peninsular in search of some more Gone Fishn' caches and others we might be passing. We commencing Fishn' from where we all needed to get caches as we were individually at different places from previous trips. [B)] Then is was off to Curramulka for some lunch and a wander around there in search of some solved puzzle and other caches. Then it was back for some more Fishn' before heading home another route via some more unfound caches of course. A very fun day.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Laighside Legends for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We saw three brown snakes today, which changed our plans a little to avoid roadside long grass and find a variety of quality rather than quantity caches!
With info from a while back we took a look at the map and found an interesting route to this one!!!
Happy to report recently finding one more of the caches types previously unfound
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache on our map Laighside Legends

wash your hands,
sanitize, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season affects you and
cache all the regions safely distanced at least an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Come wine and dine in the Barossa sometime soon and feel free to leave a few new cache hides out this way

Today we explored the area between Minlaton, Curramulka, Port Vincent and back to Minlaton using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way with Roostaman and this was one of them. After having worked this one out earlier we made an easy find at GZ.

A tricky puzzle because different sources offer different answers. The nearest proved best.
It's often good to stop on a long drive and stretch the legs. We walked from the main road until the Garmin thought we were in the right zone and searched about. I spotted a welcoming hole but MummyPenny came up with the goods in the opposite direction. Thanks Laighside Legends.

I am sure that any dedicated cacher, if the y do not know them will know where to go to find out. Love a fun puzzle.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
Found while on Yorke Peninsula with iluvtrekking. Fortunate to have amazingly clear, warm weather for duration of our stay which made for very pleasant caching. Today we headed to Clare picking up a few finds along the way. Solved in preparation for our visit. Thanks Laighside Legends
Found with richlink as we slowly made our way north from Point Turton to Clare, picking up caches as we went. One of a number of caches solved prior to our trip. Thanks for your cache Laighside Legends.
Day 3, camped at Minlaton, and took a drive to Curramulka & Port Victoria.
We picked up a good variety of caches, some a little trickier to find than others.
Another interesting puzzle, which geo-wife solved before our trip to YP.
Cache located quickly and in good condition, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Laighside Legends, for us and others to find.

Off to YP for the weekend with muggle partner and Brodie and what an interesting weekend it was!
A lovely sunny day today after the last two days of wind and rain
Not much time for caching though, as we had to leave very early to be at the Clovercrest Hotel for tea with Honeysuckers, so only 8 caches were found today.
I've found one or two caches so I think I know my cache types reasonably well by now
Hence I wanted to find this cache on our way home and I'm really glad that I did as muggle partner was driving and it was rather funny to see him trying to dodge trees and vines
He even had to remove a dead branch that was at face height but he didn't want to use the chainsaw and so he used brute force instead
The cache was, thankfully, a reasonably quick find and I guess Brodie had used all his energy over the weekend as he surprised us by walking himself up the ramp into Harry while we were still at the cache [|)]

Day thirteen of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
A travelling day today from Marion Bay, up the centre to Moonta.
Grabbing a few solved puzzles, and the odd traditional.
Well, not as well as I thought at first!
Took a while to crack this one, and even longer to find it in the very long and lush grasses around GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 9434. Sadly Robmc and I have left Marion Bay today and we are travelling to Moonta, zig-zagging along the way via some lovely little towns and a visit to Port Victoria, where we sat in the PostOffice Cafe for lunch and admired the views of the pier and the calm ocean on a sunny day.
We thought this puzzle would be a lot easier than it actually was. Finally got the solution worked out and a green light so off we went to GZ along another georgeous country lane. The search for the hide took about as long as solving the puzzle. We looked for a long time but this spring growth is way too long to be helpful. Finally, Rob discovered it and now we can have our snack break in this nice secluded area.
Thanks Laighside Legends

We had got to within 600m. the night before but the failing light and wet conditions put me off venturing to the GZ. On returning we traversed the distance easily and located the cache. Thanks Laighside Legends for the challenge!! ........... a favourite!!

Another day on the Yorke with alansee and Team Crackers. A variety of caches were encountered and eventually conquered, making for an enjoyable and liesurely day out. I'm sure a few extra finds would have occurred but taking a long lunch put paid to that expectation.

Day three with Alansee and Micaparamedic we were finishing off a few caches around Port Vincent and then heading to Wallaroo for a few days caching there
It turns out that this one wasn't quite as easy as first expected but a chance visit from another cacher we got back into it and with a different mind set it seemed quite easy. Today was the day to come and claim the find. Fortunately the cache was found a lot quicker than the puzzle was solved and our initials are now in the lo.
To save room in the logs we signed as M.A.C.( Micaparamedic Alansee and Team Crackers).
Thanks for the cache.
Not as well as I thought! But we got there. Found with Micaparamedic and Team Crackers.
We floundered with this puzzle for some time. All of the approaches we took proved fruitless. We then put the puzzle aside for a couple of weeks then returned, hoping for a new perspective. Finally we discovered something new and plausible values for the letters A to H were obtained. We were very pleased when Evince gave the tick of approval. Today we went to look for the cache. The first two road accesses were not friendly to our car. We found a third access point and after a 600m walk, we reached GZ. It then took another 10 minutes of searching before this very well hidden cache was loacted. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Laighside Legends for a very challenging (at least for us) puzzle and a great hide. It certainly earns a favourite from us.
Puzzled over this for ages before finally coming up with the solution. Detoured to GZ on our way to Wool Bay for the weekend, spotting a large brown snake near the cache. Thanks for the puzzle Laighside Legends!
Found by Boxer whilst doing a solo caching run around central YP.Thanks for the hide. Had an adventure trying to find the correct way into this one.An interesting drive once i found the track.Thanks.
Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. In fact we mostly looked in the rock pile on the other side of the road. Until we phoned a friend who told us to head south, which was not that easy since the cache location is in one of the few locations on the face of the planet where Telstra phones cannot get a signal. Thanks for the cache, we love your work.

When this one came out looked straight at it and said easy everything worked out for the first number and the second then the third was way off so knew I did something wrong so a little more thinking was in order. But eventually worked out what I was to do with it. Then just had the great drive down the little lane to get the cache. TFTC
Having solved this off we went... After negotiating a few trees down the track in the Geocommodore the cache was quickly in hand...
Then back out the track again with maybe a few extra scratches down the sides... Nearly 4x4 stuff, glad it hadn't rained...

Well, next time we're visiting Australia, we might see if we go can find the cache and claim the smiley. It might be a while though, as we are in South Dakota, US and a trip half way around the planet isn't quite in the budget this year. But hey, it was a fun and easy puzzle to solve! Thanks...
Oh... and p.s... the 2.5 Difficulty rating is pretty much right on.

Every week this cache doesn't go off, put up the degree of difficulty up 1/2 a notch...
I've just changed the hint due to after much thought I've realised the old one was more confusing than helpful - The new one should be more useful
ps. Do you think 2.5 difficulty is right for this cache??? - I'm not sure
