Last find before turning around and heading back to the car. The walk back always seems longer...... tftc!
Had a couple of hours spare this morning so tackled the caches in Lowan conservation park. All caches found and in good condition, coordinates all accurate, took nothing and left nothing. Nearly missed WP1 on the multi. Thanks for this series of caches. TFTC
I'm out and about with Wollaston today primarily to sign the 'Straya' Challenge caches but once we'd finished there, we headed over to the Lowan Conservation Park to get us a few more smileys. Luckily we had the correct vehicle to reach GZ and didn't have to walk in the heat. Thanks for find #5525TNLN
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I moved camp to Bowhill to capture some targeted caches. MeandDe & I tackled this one today. Another great day for caching. TFTC CPwanderer
Found it! Ventured further into this park to the track junction where it was a short walk to find the cache at GZ. TFTC!
Continuing my South Australian Adventure. After finding a nearby cache, I headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. I returned everything as found, then continued on my way. TFTC
Sunday & Monday, sunny and no rain was the forecast……..with the wettest June in so long, I had to take Monday off work to head out for some caches
Where should I head was a dilemma. In the end I decided South, head South and see what I could collect around the Murray Bridge area.
This cache was quickly found, log stamped and all returned as found

Stay at Murray Bridge for two nights with Everlasting and Found the cache and logged the log with Everlasting CPwanderer, Thank you so much for placing it.
One of seven caches of the original Logan Eight logged today. I’ve been lured out here by the new add-on letterbox to the series, and not having been to this park before, I’m glad I came. All caches were easily found with good coordinates, and all in good condition, with plenty of swaps inside. No snakes were seen, a lizard gave me a momentary scare, and sadly, no lowans (mallee fowl) or mounds (are they in here?). My geocaching.com doesn’t show trails within the park, but they are there and I walked to all of these without difficulty. A big thank you to CPwanderer for this cache and the series.
After completing the nearby power trail i pointed the 4x4 in the direction of this national park since i have never been in this national park before. A quick find after walking in to the park. The track in to the park wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. No snakes sighted today but i did see a few lizards and birds.
Found with Mogni. Mogni wants to get to 20, 000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria and make that event her 20, 000 th. So we went out to complete the " Ice cream " series and the " Straya " challenge series plus some extras along the way. 78 ccahes stamped today but since some of them are challenege caches less than 78 were finds. The route to the geo arts was the long way, this was because the main road to Strathalbyn was closed due to road works and the detour was through Milang.

Nice little wander today, wanted to finish these before the came out to play. TFTC CPWanderer and Bindi the Geopup.

Todays road of choice was north out of Karoonda then west, east and back to the caravan park. Yesterday we thought that we had finished all the caches here in Karoonda but after we had finished our logging up popped a letterbox that we had not downloaded to our file. This was rectified and we collected the information for the final which was quickly done and the log was signed on the way back to the caravan.
We found a sign on a road that neither of us had ever seen before it stated "Drift sand over road" and we really did need to put the car into 4WD to get us through it, this was all on a hard formed road.
All the caches that we targeted today were found and are in good condition, all log sheets/books are also good. Again more dirt and dust and flies, we believe that all Australian flies live in South Australia. There are a few less now, some have gone to fly heaven.

A beautiful sunny winter’s day had us deciding to cache in the infrequently visited Lowan Conservation Park.
While there we cooked some snags for lunch and soaked up the vitamin D
While cooking we were briefly visted by a magnificent red capped robin. He was a cock bird and getting ready for breeding season so his chest was also fire engine red.
If only he had stayed long enough for us to get a photo
As expected with this CO all caches were found in excellent condition and all with good co-ords.
Many thanks for the hide CPwanderer

Spending this glorious autumn day caching with geo pup Douglas, I've has my eyes on the Lowan area for awhile awesome area, great park so peaceful TYFTC
A big day’s caching today, beginning with the early morning event at Mile End and the CITO at Regency Park. Then it was out east of Murray Bridge for the main part of the day to find a selection of Traditional, Mystery and Multi caches with FeatherWaite before ending up at Tailem Bend later in the afternoon for another CITO.
The weather was kind to us, with a lovely sunny, calm and not too hot day. Just perfect for caching!
We found all but one of the caches we targeted and all in all it was a very enjoyable and productive day (from a geocaching perspective at least!).
Thanks CPwanderer for the cache.

Had an early morning start to the day with a trip into the city from the Hills to attend 'For the Early Birds! #20' and 'CITO Regency Park Wetlands'. Headed back up to Bridgewater to pick up e.gregory1 for a caching foray in the Murraylands to find the caches in the Lowan Conservation Park, out to Copeville, Perponda and Borika, then to Marima and the periphery of Karoonda before finishing with the CITO at Tailem Bend. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer!
I had made it to FOUR so thought it would be a nice idea to continue my stroll to SIX. Occasionally it looked like there was a bit of a trail and occasionally it didn’t. TFTC
Found with hevwalker as we trek towards Swan Reach for the evening event.
Hevwalker has had these on her radar for sometime and I happily agreed... more smileys to add to my map.
We drove to one or two and we walked to one or two. Heather had done her homework, therefore all geocaches were found.

LiB & I were heading to Swan Reach for the evening event. We decided to collect a few caches on a bit of a detour along the way...
I have had the Lowan Conservation Park in my sights since I started caching nearly 5 years ago but have never managed to get there...
We drove into the park along the track to get 5 & 6...
A nice quick find...
It started to drop wet stuff so thought it was a good opportunity to stop for a bite to eat...
We did so, in the car and waited for the rain to stop...it did...
Headed off to find the Multi...

Due to the wind being very strong today, we had to cancel the canoe paddle on the Murray with ilook4geo and put together a land based program. There are not many caches around where we are camped, so we went looking for some nearby.
This looked like a good series to do and it was good as it involved some track driving and some walking as well. Each found log was signed and replaced.
Thank you CPwanderer for placing this series of good sized containers and for maintaining them well.

Out on a cache hunt with goingplaces2, but not doing any water ones today. Picking up some near where we are camped. Cache retrieved, log signed, all was replaced, job done! Time to move on. TFTC.
A nice and easy find
A big day out with 101 finds between Adelaide and Blachetown, definitely didn’t take the google maps recommended route that’s for sure, a detour to Murray bridge then through the back roads to Loxton and back to blanchetown. A nice day out overall when dodging the large dust storm.

Escaped for a caching afternoon with Purrfect Di.
We thought we'd have a nice drive, get away from home and clean up some further afield.
With a late start it wasn't big numbers, but quality instead
Driving in here I thought how much I love caching where iphone cachers just can't.
So peaceful with no reception out here, just us and the wildlife!
Thanks CPwanderer for placing this cache and for leading us here for another fun smiley
Fav for the whole park experience and no mint tins!

Diverted from the highway to finally finish CP's wander in this CP...
A nice walk in amongst the birds and bush...
Found easily, but alas the cache, after 2.5 years of unlove, is showing serious signs of UV damage rendering it very brittle to the point where the lid has little thread to keep it sealed.
Sorry CP, I did not have an adequate container to replace with.

Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
After moving to Big Bend between Swan Reach and Nildottie on the Murray River, last night we started having major internet problems. Seems our Modem finally died. After much research we decided to head to Murray Bridge to go to the Telstra shop.
Well that was interesting as we ended up buying a new modem from Dick Smiths not Telstra.
After a frustrating but eventually a successful trip to Murray Bridge we set about visiting this area to complete the series, which we were unlikely to have done if not for this 'urgent' detour.
Thanks for breaking up our journey and helping with our smilie count.

I keep wandering past this park and seeing the three remaining caches I have not found on my GPS screen
Time to fix that problem this morning and go for a walk through the mallee
Along the rocky trail I strode.
It is all very peaceful and pretty out here
But no lowans seen today
I did see a cache hiding behind a tree and signed the logbook

Camped at Murray Bridge showgrounds, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Took a drive to Mannum, to pick up some caches in the area.
We found a good variety of cache hides, and enjoyed the country scenery.
This was a great unexpected little series, but all the caches were quickly found.
Many thanks for the hunt, CPwanderer.

Left the geo-mobile behind for this one as it was starting to get a bit too rocky. Had a lovely walk to the cache as we realised we hadn't done the necessary research to complete the series. TFTC

I was in the area for pedal prix, so of course I had to cache too. Luckily brisal5 was available to help out.... my other usual local was away
Anyhow brisal5 had been wanting to do this series for a while so off we went... I was limping by this stage but managed to slow brisal5 down enough to keep up, plus who would have thought his car could drive down those tracks
Thanks CP, a lovely location.

Out to clear a few caches around Murray Bridge with Mogni after the pedal prix. . I have wanted to do this series of walks for a while. The furtherest walk although I see if you have a key it is also a driveby. Thanks CP. Returning from this the sun set and it was dark when we got back to the car.
It was time to tackle the Lowan series today. Some I walked to and others were a driveby. There were even some bird watchers at Lowan six (they now know what geocaching is). Thanks for the series CP.
Thanks CPwanderer. Why is it that, when in the bush you can hear the birds but rarely see them.
Six out of six so far so we're doing ok. Nice easy find in a well wooded location. We love doing these types of caches where we can get out of the car, have a good look around and go for a bit of a walk too. TFTC
After having a fantastic time at the Oz Mega event we had to drop the youngest team member back in Melbourne as she had to return to work Tuesday but we are fortunate enough to have the rest of the week off and as the camper was already hooked up it seemed silly not to just keep going picking up a few more caches along the way.
We continued along the track hoping that we could find a place that we could turn around with the camper on. We were quite happy to see cross tracks that we could just run down and back up and be back on the way that we had came. While I was doing this Diane wandered off to locate the cache doing battle with the ever present orb weavers. There was even one guarding the cache container. We retrieved the container with doing the least amount of damage to the web as possible then signed the log.
Our thanks to CPwanderer for the cache.

to get this one I continued on from number 5 those spiders make realy strong webs got to GZ and found a track looked at the track the wheel tracks are a sedan car not 4X4 when i read the logs found out someone drove a holden in to there followed track back but felt i was walking away from the car so changed direction on getting home down loaded data to computer and looked at where i had walked you know i could have walked on that track and advoided the spiders
This was my favourite with a very pleasant walk along the track to GZ and back. TFTC CPwanderer
Enjoyed a short walk to GZ after driving in along the stony track, last in the series for us and enjoyed the walks through different parts of the park, park known for many species of honeyeater and we saw quite a few and listened to their warbles, as we drove out a large brown snake was sunning itself on the road, Mrs frog was glad we did not see it while we were walking. Nothing like a cluster of caches on a map to cause a massive detour! #6 of 7, except our GPS didn't have #7 in it at the time, so really it's #6 of 6. Nice to do a series in order for a change, but a bit bummed out that we missed #7 - next time! TFTC
This turned out to be our last find in the series, as we didn't have the puzzle cache (not sure what the aim of that is, as it doesn't seem to fit the rest of the series), and number 8 managed to fall just outside of our filter, so looks like we will have to return for that another time.
A nice easy find once we made it to GZ, which unlike Nibs, we have a 4WD

We tackled the Lowan series in reverse order so we would be working our way back towards Adelaide and this was to be the second in the series we would grab (what happened to Lowan 7?). Nice sized cache and an easy find, albeit on a day that was starting to warm up considerably. No swaps. Cheers.
Enjoyed the walk, it is a very nice area. Found more spider webs. Took soldier and left a glow in the dark smiley face. After finding the cache we continued as far as we could along the track and found an interesting ruin - the chimney the main part still standing with stucture timbers and a small bit of roof. The building would have been a single small room with a fire place, (cosy in winter). TFTC.
Another quick stop on the return journey from the "10 Years and we are still Mad about the cache Sam" event.
Cheers & TFTC.
Cheers & TFTC.
Another stop on the way home from the '10 years and were still mad about the cache sam' event in the Riverland. [^] An accurate GZ made we made a quick stop and find in a hot and dry park. Near here there looked like there had been a fairly nice flat spot with some stones for a fire place - a possible aiming spot for cachers if it is late in the day. Clear skies.
Found with Dennisc52 on a special day out just for this series. Nice walk through the bush to the next cache with yet more spiders. TFTC TNLN
Set out especially to do this series, after talking to the owner at an event a few weeks ago. Walked here from Lowan 5, collecting almost every spider web, and spider, along the way. TN, L Roo. TFTC.
The Foul Can did a pretty good job coming in here - thank goodness the rain had dried up or it might not have been so easy. Saw a lovely little flower where we parked the car, not sure if it might be a sun orchid. Took the koala TB although he looked quite at home here. Left a figurine.
More crawling along in the car [8)] had us in a clearing not far from GZ.
Took little koala. Left large Billy the Koala TB. SL.
An easy turn around area soon had us heading back toward the road [^].
Thanks CPWanderer.

I was going to do this series a couple of nights ago by myself. But decided not to due to an old injury playing up. Came here today with Mooshell. Great area will come back to explore when dry. Tried to get to a spot that a local told me about in a different area. Got hopelessly bogged to the diffs. Spent an hour jacking and putting stones, limbs under tires to get out. 4WD will not get you every where. Did not get bogged on the tracks to your caches. Good enjoyable series. TFTC. SL.
