As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Up here today with Nova Lightning to see if we can clean up a few caches to try to meet our own challenge that we set ourselves to achieve by the time the MEGA rolls around.
A quick find after wandering past kids playing nearby and back to the car for us.

Had planned a 'big day' with Cats&Dragons and we were trying to collect 50+ caches today.
It was an early start to the day (5.00am) or for steve just a normal start to the day. We headed up to Auckland and started clearing out the area.
This was a nice easy find before heading off to the next one.

I decided to go for a midday walk as the weather was holding and my fella was still in bed nursing his hangover. Walked all the way down the hill found the cache, quick and easy, enjoyed the beautiful scenery for a bit and then had to walk all the way back up the hill. Oh well at least it keeps me fit and gets me out of the house. TFTC #72
Headed out this way with evilno9 after he had finished work for the day, and to enjoy another great summers evening. Parked up at the beach, and soon saw where we needed to be. Not really wearing appropriate footwear, and almost ending up on my bum, I decided to run around to and approach from the slightly safer direction, and by the time I had, the cache was found. Nice spot, TFTC
Catching up with some friends this evening and in the area so decided a few caches before dinner would work up a suitable appetite. Started here and took the more vertical approach to GZ. Can see how it would be pretty slippery more often than not but luckily it was dry enough to scramble down without any problems. Quick find and off to the next one. TFTC
Was going to get this from the road above and saw the bank a little steep and my running shoes a little low on off-road traction, so I thought it safer to attack from below. Quick find thx to a good clue, MTFTC
A little bit further out to grab our daily cache today - Furbies' little slide down the hill provided me with great entertainment
On our daily cache run, and starting to get further and further from home. Found GZ and then had to figure out the best way to it. Well that was easy, now to get out of here, umm not so easy, lets say I had to wash my hands and shorts after retrieving this guy. TFTC.
After getting some caches and exercise in the bush I thought I could squezze in another cache or two before home time. When I noted I was close to 2 THH caches I was sold. Super quick find in the first place I checked. Recorded the requiste information then ran back to the car to keep my scheduled home time!
Made a return here, hoping that I would find the cache come this time round. And I had an extra set of eyes this time too!
Well, it was a bit of a mission... we started off my disregarding the hint, as some previous finders had said, and pretty much just searching everywhere I had not searched before.
No luck that way, so we ended up looking at the hint, and trying to look there. Now this was exactly the same place as I had looked in approx last easter-ish or whenever it was that I was here with no luck, so wasn't expecting much, especially since other finders had talked about the cache moving a bit.
But nope! The cache was right there! Safe, sound, and hiding away where it probably should have been but wasn't before... lol.
TFTC!!

A nice easy find while in the area. Saw a red Mustang GT500 in the carpark...WOW!
The hint should read 'hidden near planks'. TFTC.

Had no trouble finding this one on a lovely fine afternoon. Very busy down here with lots of mums and kids in the park area.
We had some time to kill before an appointment so took some time out to find some caches. This one took a bit of looking at GZ and in the end we disregarded the hint. The cache itself is fine. Lovely views of the harbour from here. TFTC!
Found one part of the hint, but what the cache was meant to be under didn't seem to be present... Entire bank was completely slippery, and despite getting all muddy, had no luck.
With the time since this one has been found though, I don't know if its still there, given how much it looks like the mud has slid!
Then again, I could be blind...

Can you please email me additional hints because I have tried several times but can't find it. Thanks!

Easy find with the hint. Weather miserable so no one around. Ground was a bit slippery though. TFTC
Really nice quick cache while doing the horcrux series nearby, beware the brutal Mosquitos!!
FTFC, found in 2012 with Integrated Planning before switching logs. Did this one in jandals, pretty slippery. Ha.
Dropped hubby at work and as it wasn't actually raining at that time, shot round to pick up this cache. Quick find and another day filled in on the calendar. TFTC
Approached GZ from the road which proved not to be the best way. Found the cache container (intact) on the floor so rehide it nearby. Hopefully, it's in the right place, but if not let me know and I'll describe where I placed it.

This place brings fond memories... great kayaking adventures started here. Thanks for the adventure. TFTC.
Have been to this park many times before I left the North Shore for the mighty Waikato.
Took a little to find and was about to give up, decided to check the hint and realised I was in the right spot. TFTC

6935 Missed out on the original hide... quick find in a secluded spot. There were lots of fisher folk on the wharf trying their luck, nice hide, TFTC.
A pretty little beach nearby. Pity that some visitors (or locals) do not show the respect that the location deserves.
Found with Biggles while caching in the area. A really nice coastal spot late in the afternoon. Dogs would get really muddy round here. Quick find. TFTC
Found on day 1 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. A lovely spot to park and relax.... if we had the time. A quick walk from the car park to GZ and the cache was found. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.
Took a lovely slide down the hill next to GZ trying to get the GPS to pick up some signal. Quietly picked myself up and made the find before mondoolix. Thanks
3510 This was a fairly easy find once Mr Geckoh stopped leading me astray, I told him no mucking around, we Must finish this series today! The dogs were very impressed with the title of this one! TFTC Now one to go then on to the final!!
Nice quick find, Master FriwiNZ enjoyed playing on the slide while Team Geomatt123 and Mrs FriwiNZ were on the hunt. TFTC
Left half of Team GeoMatt with the grandparents, and carried on our Howl Heist mission. Quick find for us - sent Mr GM123 into the undergrowth, and out he popped with cache in hand. TFTC
Bit slippery underfoot but the clue made for a very quick find once we got to GZ. Junior Pastamakers enjoyed the nearby playground while we searched.
Police car did a drive by just after we had replaced the cache and we wondered if they had been tipped off about suspicious behaviour but we saw them again further up the road with a carload of undesirables that they must have been looking for!

Talk about the area being busy - no understatement. Mr TT volunteered to scratch furtively in the bushes, but forgot a pen so scratched the name with local resources. Man passing by asked if he needed help!!!! TFTC
Time to get a few more of the close-to-home caches off the to-do list. Now that I have the correct coords I can find the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
My last download was a week ago just before the new coords were published. DANG!!!! I could have saved myself a whole lot of agony.
Sent Roy off to find this one with the new Xmas pressy, last clue in the series, we are hot on the heels of those art thieves. Thanks for the fun
Glad I had the iPhone with me today. My GPS was last updated a few days ago and did not have the new co-ords. I searched aimlessly at GZ for a few minutes and decided to read some recent logs on the iPhone. That's when I noticed the updated co-ords log. Put in the new co-ords and made a quick find. TFTC

No luck here for me today. Area was nice and quiet so a decent search was conducted but not well enough I think. I will be back.
Found the rest yesterday but this one eluded us-thanks to Troutfly for advice -no probs today-'cept pen wouldn't work so will sign next time in the area.tftc

Made three trips to number three and still didn't get a proper search done. Managed a few cursory prods but the place just to busy for us today.
#695 Saw this published last night, but couldn't get out. Headed out the door on another doggie hunt tonight. Great fun. This took us ages, in fact almost gave up, then located it. Nice to see a cache in this area. Got lots of memories of this area from teenage years, many moons ago, a great hang out spot in the day. Got the required info and will enjoy a leisurely trip around these caches to make the fun last. SL. TFTC.
Out on an evening FTF mission with rosmar. I think you had a real ball coming up with these artworks. This is a really fun series, and all good hides in their own rights! 8th of 13 FTFs tonight with rosmar . TFTFTF, TFTC, TFTHH!
An exciting evening out with FMZ in an attempt to get the FTF's for the THH series. Arrived a GZ and had to be careful not to been seen as there were several muggles in a parked car close to GZ. Soon located this cache and then off to the next one. Another joint FTF with FMZ. TFTC
