Something about this area may have changed in recent times. No green sign with the required numbers anywhere close. I’ll keep a watch on this for developments. Thanks.
This cache has had a charmed run. People have found the final repeatedly and left it in place. But if the sign is gone, it really can't continue. Thanks everyone who visited this lovely initiative.
We were really impressed by all the great conservation work done here. We had no idea about this place. The kids got to watch a tui feeding up close and it was a nice walk around the Wills Gully loop. All good with the cache. TFTC
Just as I was working out the coords for Stage 2, my pen ran out of ink. I had compute one number at a time, and then enter that into my GPSr, then go back to the description. This took a bit more time and I swear I could hear several birds laughing at me. TFTC.
Beautiful track!! I almost missed the entrance - I had parked at a side street that looked pretty close to GZ, from there I tried to walk here but would have missed the small entrance to the track. Good luck a couple just came out, so I asked if this is access to private property or to the stream. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful nature and once at the bird feeding area I saw a Tui.
Cache was on the way back to the car, but I will come back soon and do a bit more of the stream walk.

No golf this morning as wet so time to grab this cache. Arrived at GZ and soon had the required numbers which were entered into the GPS. A short time later the cache was in hand, signed and replaced. All good here.
A great community project close to town. One of the few tracks I had not been up in the Richmond Hills area.

What a great little spot. Even on a Friday afternoon there were a few walkers through here enjoying this wonderful track. I was just a few minutes in before I could hear the birdsong. As for the cache, no real problems tracking it down with the numbers gleaned from the sign. TFTC Belts.
This weekend was a planned trip to Nelson that we organised a couple of months back.
My niece was competing in the S.I secondary schools athletics meet at Saxton, (quite successfully as it turned out), and as my brother had organised a house in Tahunanui for 4 days I had a base for a good weekend.
So I took the Friday off work, getting into Nelson while it was still dark in the morning to start a big day targeting highly favoured caches and anything else that took my fancy. Once reaching most of my goals and catching up with the tribe later that afternoon the weekend took a different slant, and it was all about the athletics, catching up and chilling out for most of the next two days.
Jo popped over on Sunday, and after the relays finished we just had time to make the Mapua event in the afternoon, then I grabbed a few more caches on the way home. A great weekend in so many ways, with Nelson turning on some great weather.
Thanks to all the COs, found some good ones

Found. Quite a lot of stumps in the area but found the right one. Cache had 2 snails riding along
Stopped in on my way past along Hill Street. Nice little gully! I don't usually do multis while out running but I couldn't resist this one. Straight forward calculation and nice easy find - TFTC.
After a morning of heavy and steady rain Tregearp and I needed to get out and get some exercise. We saw this track up to the Grassy Saddle which we hadn't been on before with a handful of caches.
Quickly found the required information, a simple solve and onward for the final. Log book a tad damp but still serviceable.
Thanks for another beltfamily cache.

After this mornings rain, SJT_NZ was keen to get out for a brisk leg stretch. There was still quite a few chores on my chore list to short and sharp was in order so the Richmond Hills seemed the best bet and an explore on a couple of trails we hadn't checked out previously. This was the first cache, quickly gathered info and then headed off to GZ, a quick find and all in good order.
Greetings from Tauranga. Having a great couple of days stay, just long enough to do this beaut little bush walk. Just loved this hide. A Tui had several drinks of the nectar and kept chasing other birds away, but a Bellbird still came in as soon as the coast was clear. So a nice multi find and lots of action. Cache is very mucky at the bottom - looks like a rotted leaf or something similar. So sorry I didn't have anything to clean it with. However, the log is fine. Fav point for this cache. TFTC
Ah stunning little walk, I'll be back when it's not so hot to walk much further. Great work they've done on the project, so glad to know it's here now. Thanks very much!
Whoops, after writing the found log, some things didn't make sense. The log we signed was brand new it even had ftf written at top of page and was placed in 2014. We went back through the logs and sure enough plenty of cachers have logged it. Then there was the listed hiding place and the color of the lid - they were different from the one we found. We rechecked co ordinates-they were ok. So we went back from the opposite direction and in a short time had found the correct cache! So not sure about that first cache we found, could it be another multi or a mystery cache? Who knows? Only Who nose. Pun intended.
Out with Team Bisley caching and exercising the kids. Love this little forest in a residential area. TFTC
Geocaching with the competition Team Jacers.... spending some time caching with them rather than competing against them.
Lovely track. Great idea.
Saw my first Tui very excited.
Thank you.

paddle chick and I went for walk up this valley to get a few caches on way up we got the information needed for this cache. On the way back we looked for it, the log was very wet so replaced it and put it in a new bag .Tftc beltfamily
A nice trek up to the bird viewer. No birds feeding at present. Will be back to head up the track further at another time. Sorry about the late log but completely missed logging on day. Thanks for the multi and thanks for the cache.
Plenty of bird-life around and an enjoyable walk up-stream - though a few DNF's the further we went. TFTC.
On Wed 14th the brand new Oregon 700 crashed (for the second time these holidays) and lost all caches from the Nelson PQ. So visited the Richmond Library to note down the coordinates and details for a handful of essential Nelson caches... this was one of them. Two signs with the correct colours at the hide, but, only one was about koha. Then a reasonable stroll before we got to search for the final. There is no sign of the clue tree? but we found it okay. A pleasant way to escape the heat and strong wind in Richmond!
Geocaching brought us to this corner of our World.....we really enjoyed a walk up through here, a very pleasant stroll well maintained by some very enthusiastic people...well done. Unfortunately the log is saturated and I did leave a piece of waterproof paper for further recordings but it needs attention.....tftc
What a lovely spot, we saw waxeyes, this and bellbirds. Kids loved it. Worked out coordinates and found the cashe quick once GPS had settled. Log very wet, hard to sign. Thanks for showing us this lovely spot.
We are a bit embarrassed to admit that this was our first time walking up this track even though we have been Nelsonians for many years - better late than never. We will bring the grandkids here as it is such a nice walk and so much to see tftc
Visiting New Zealand for the first time from Australia, with Apty who was born in Nelson.
I love multis, and this was in a lovely area. Saw my first Tui!

CrackedChelle and I are over from South Australia touring Christchurch, West Coast and Nelson before staying with my sister and her family in Upper Hutt. I'm an ex-pat from Nelson and this is Chelle's first adventure to Aotearoa.
I lived at 49 Edward St until I headed off into the big world. I don't think this gully was anything when I lived here.
It's beautiful now. When done all involved.
We saw a couple of tui but people jogging up the path scared them away.
Log was missing so we put a sheet of paper in.

This is an excellent multi, but it needs some love. New logbook, new baggie and possibly a new container, too.
Lovely area. Found the sign but couldn't work out how to make the number of letters on the line into A,B,C,D,E. As A and C were two digit numbers meaning the GPS had too many digits to make coordinates
A trip over the hill was the plan for today, to hell with the weather there's some bedroom furniture needs sourcing and there's caches to be found too. Just the 3 of us heading over, will sure be different from now on without my black hairy shadow, Tally the dog. I'd recently bought a new Geocaching coat from Kathmandu (the shop, not the place) and was looking forward to testing it out against the promised wet stuff. I also bought some specific shorts but these were M I A after our recent house move so their test will have to wait. I ended up getting a few Multi caches today, which was a nice change of direction and the rain sure did come down. Where there was once dry ground, there were rivers and streams so had to be on my toes (to stay dry)
Parked near the provided W P and headed along the track to get the numbers required. Damp underfoot today and welcomed the cover to work out the required info. Only sparrows were feeding today.
At the final I soon spied the container but log was way too wet to bother with. Nothing on me to replace so removed the mush and replaced the container. seagnoid's emerald was there

I am working on getting my calendar up to three, which means two caches each today and Sunday. So I decide to go to Nelson as I need all the local Blenheim caches for midweek finds. And then Taybeedragon rings up and invites me to dinner. No, I'm going to Nelson for the weekend, staying there. So she turn up at my door and says "I'm coming!" So off to her place, collect Zara Bus and off we go.
Parked here and wandered all over the cemetery and down to Miyazu, a nice day for a long walk.
After finding the night cache, we walked back and stopped off here. Cache finding in the dark is never easy, but the hint help. So I was given the task of walking randomly around, with my torch pointing to the sky, trying to find the right star. Tree. Inspiration. Something. Eventually found something, and signed the log. A lot of fun finding at night!

Off on another magical mystery tour with The Seagnoid and Zara for the weekend. We are already here doing the night cache so lets try this. Love the little bird watching house and info boards. Interesting trying to do this stumbling around in the dark. Seagnoid finally found it. Thanks for bringing us here. Must be tea time.
Beautiful place, amazing the amount of native birds here.
The log is so damp it has completely disintegrated and is unable to be signed, but otherwise a great cache, thanks

We had gathered the information on a walk up the hill a few months ago, but decided to leave the find for another day.
Looking to continue my streak, I stopped by on a small detour to the supermarket. It was a lovely sunny morning, but a little chilly in the shade of the bush. The Oregon took a few minutes to settle and I wondered if it would get me near at it struggles in this type of environment, but with the help of the hint, didn't take long to track down the cache.
Heard birdsong and heard the whirr of wings above me, but the foliage was too dense to catch sight of the perpetrator. The volunteers are doing a great job.
Thanks for day #111 of my streak. TFTC.

#7964. It seemed like a good day to polish off some caches Troodles had already found while streaking. This was the first one. There was quite a few potential hiding places, so I was pleased when I spotted something interesting. TFTC.
This was the first stop on a pleasant wander around the lower loop track. There was a tui at the feed station but it flew off before we could take a photo. TFTC.
We were greeted by bird song and the sight of a tui at the feeders when investigating this track. A great effort by all involved with the Bird Sanctuary and the track maintenance. At GZ the coords were soon assembled. Initially I was so close to the rimu that I missed it. The coords were spot on though. TFTC
Never been up here before, what a lovely spot. I was amazed at the effort that has gone into this area. Sat for a while taking some photos but before long lots of children and their grandparents came along. Crying babies are a sure fire way to scare away the birds!! Found the cache for a quick sign between muggles. This one gets a favourite from us, TFTC!
A good cache in a nice location. TFTC.
PS. Log is a little damp, but still signable - just.

Fantastic place which deserves a leisurely wander to appreciate the birds and what is being done for them. Definitely a favourite.http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
Out for a quick cache with my nephew. Quick find just as the rain started again TFTC

What a wonderful project, and yet another place I would never have known about had it not been for geocaching! Both Jr Juicy & I enjoyed the short walk and watching birds through the viewing window ..

Have walked past here dozens of times. Time to log this one today. Thanks. J&G
Golly, it is a long time since I have been up this particular track...may be pre-caching.
Totally awesome spot....no visiters to the bar, but they sure were happily singing away.
Good cache...thanks beltfamily for placing it.

With a bit of time to kill at the end of the day I decided to try this intriguing Multi. What a beautiful looking walk and a pity I didn't have time to explore further but I will return. The birds were in full evening song and the cache was quickly retrieved. Thanks so much for bringing me here and seeing how our urban environments are being enhanced thanks to the likes of NBRR. Worth a Favourite for the discovery of this hidden gem.
Terrific project, great location and nice hide. Thanks to all the bird volunteers and to the cache owner as wel,l for bringing me here. I never knew this place exsited. Well deserving of a favorite
Off to do some shopping and a calendar day meant a trip to a fairly handy cache would be in order. Had that all planned, then suddenly realised it would be a good chance to try out the new camera. So, it was a great little outing. Oh yes. And we walked up the hill too That's the second time lately I've messed up a pretty straightforward sort of multi - but in actual fact, without doing that, we would have missed out on a great walk up the gully. So it was all good. TFTC
Caching with Sidewaze. I Love coming to this walk and spending time at this hide. TFTC
Finally found it!. I searched a few times in the past, when this cache had disappeared. I returned today to search and it took me a while, but found it in the end. TFTC
Spent at least 30 mins looking for this. Think we found the right place but don't think it's there any more. Can owner please check and report thanks.
(blush) I checked this a week ago and noticed it was missing! Forgot to take the cache down (blush). Sorry
Had a search this morning, but no luck. GPS coverage was bad, so I was chasing my tail a bit, trying to zero in on GZ. I see it has been 6 months since it was found, so maybe there was nothing for me to find. I'll keep on eye on this and see if anyone else finds it.
Fighting cabin fever this morning,so out early for a walk. Cache found in the rain nobody about. What a shame this track has sustained so much damage in the floods.TFTC.
The kids and I have spent some time at the bird hide in the past - wonderful place. Cache check with CO this evening. TFTC.

Cache fine, but track remains closed for the time being. Not sure what legal status the closure has; if it is an advisory or something backed by law, but the cache is intact and the multi is safely doable.
ound while on a Monday Walk with Mrs Waimearev. the bird hide was a lovely place to sit and watch and also enjoy the swishing sounds of the wings
Marchwood brought me here for the scenery and birds. Lovely area. Info got and cache found easily. TFTC
Was off with first attempt so went back and recalculated and found no trouble. Log very damp and almost unwritable. Was a few bird watchers there today.

We enjoyed seeing a beautiful Tui at the feeding station. GPS went a bit haywire under all of the trees so we were searching blind. A very helpful birdwatcher showed us where there was a Rimu tree (we didn't know what one looked like until today) and we were then able to easily locate the cache.TFTC.
i found this one too. but a guy helped me actually find it. i lernt what a remu tree is like
This was our first geocaching experience in New Zealand and it was great.
To be honest we were quite clumsy finding it, as we didn't read the instructions very well. Luckily we found a man who knew where the RIMU tree was and he took us there. He also showed us how to talk to Fantails and how to find the Moreporks.
We also saw the bird sanctuary and a few Tui birds came to drink from the water... so beautiful!! It was a great discovery only a few meters away from our house. We'll be coming back.
