I had to go a bit cross country from the 'paths less travelled' series to get to this one.
A bit of traffic to dodge and then the cache was quickly in hand.

Labour Weekend has historically been a minimum 3 day Team SEAC all out adventure so a little while ago I started planning some fun for us. After a walking day yesterday, today was a driving one and more about the numbers and clearing out an area we have had our eyes on for a while. Ended up being a massive day (left home around 8.30am and got home at 1:40am!)....it wasn't called a Mega Mysterious Weekend for nothing. Enjoyed the fun with friends...just like the 'old' times.
Quick find due to a good hint.

Last year, Team SEAC members went on a road trip down to Cambridge to clear out as many of the caches in that town and its surrounding areas. On the way home from that trip, we stopped off in Huntly to do the night cache. After completing the night cache, we vowed to come back to Huntly and grab as many of the caches in that area as we could. Today was that day.
You could tell that some of us were starting to flag a little bit. We started searching in the appropriate place and one person was searching in the correct place and declared that they could not find it there. Then another of the group searched the exact same area and found the cache in seconds.
The log was signed as Team SEAC in order to preserve log space.

In the absence of a MEGA event this Labour Weekend, Keylev had spent some time planning a Mega Mysterious Weekend for members of Team SEAC (a group of cachers from south and east Auckland who often cache together). Today's plan was to head south and find as many caches as we could around the Huntly area. In the group today is HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-Crane, NurseDr, Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Liverkiwi. Logs were sighed SEAC or Team SEAC to save space. It ended up being a long day and a bit - leaving the start point at 9 am and returning home after 1:30 am the following day.

Day 2 of our Labour weekend caching mission, and also happens to be a significant day for me yearly...... Our group decided to head down Huntly way for a good variety of cache types and then head inland and back up to Auckland.....some of use a little jaded from the impromptu high elevation gain hike yesterday, we eased ourselves into search mode.....
Signed is as SEAC to save logbook space and allowing us more time to enjoy the area which surprised us as to how many scenic places are hiding in Huntly....
Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining caches here.....and to mother nature for the awesome weather we had......

Out with Team Seac for another day of adventures. We did a full day of caching on the Saturday with a long hike! And decided to head down to Huntly for the day. I really enjoyed my time around here, and would like to come back again. Some us finished at 10pm, some finished at 1amish!
Sorry for the generic logs. Thank you for taking the time to place this cache.
Out with KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, NZTravellers, LiverKiwi, NurseDr. All logs signed “Team Seac” or similar to save log paper.

Failed with this one last time attempted, and almost the same result today. Raised my sights and the cache was soon being signed as found.
Today's the last day of us living in Auckland having taking possession of our new home in Rangitikei on Friday after a few weeks of will we/won't we. I headed up from our home on Sunday morning and had the remains of the day to clean the rental a little bit more before handover today. Was back there this morning for a quick last hour and all was well and I was on the road just after 10. I had a few possible targets as I transited South and a pleasing haul of 18 caches and back home in good time. I grabbed a few in Huntley then pushed on through to Piopio for the FP hungry 'Giant' caches there and the weather was great as was the scenery. It was a good day today, thanks to all COs for their efforts.

Had another look today - it was missing last time I looked and was replaced but now it seems to have gone again….
Stopped to give the dogs a walk on the way back from the ad lab cache. Went looking for this cache but no luck here today. Better luck next time
While doing some of the Adv Lab caches up this way decided to include some traditionals as I passed by. This one was a straightforward find. Tftc
Been and done a check cache gone new one there all good to go with a new log book
Heading off for a walk around the lake and decided to pick this one up, but couldn't find it. Bother! Maybe next time - if it's actually there....
Had to stop for this one
There where ants running all around near GZ, but the cache seemed ok
With log signed, we were on our way. Thanks again for all these hides eyespyben, no problems for us today

Don't expect a long log, we are just kids who like to find big caches with lots of toys in them. And we like earning souvenirs, that's why we're here today. Thanks for this nice cache in a nice location.
Down in Huntly area caching with Vamber and yorkshirekiwi83, nice quick find here on the way up to the lake, thanks
Out for a days caching in the Huntly area with Vamber and KirsTim. This was the first for me for the day, nice quick and easy find as a drive by. TFTC

Caching today with TheMexikiwi looking to finish the year off with a few more caches and found ourselves here.
Starting to finish up for the day and drove by this one so it warranted a stop. Super quick find here and away to the next.

I looked totally suspicious to passing cars. So did some stretches until they all passed.
Out with team BOPnJAM today to knock off as many caches as we could in Huntly.
After completing the loop tracks around the lake, we made a quick find on this one.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Out for a day's caching with Team BOPnJam. What? there are lakes in Huntley!!!!
We went for a wander around the lakes and the rest of Huntley and found what we could find, only a couple of DNF's for the day, pretty happy and not so late night.

A crew from BOP and Jag50 and I teamed up to become BOPnJam and hit Huntly to get numbers for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. The weather played nice for us and we had a pretty successful day with only a couple of dnfs. This fortunately was not one of them as it was a quick easy find
We joined up with a team from the BOP and Merlot58 to collect caches for the Hidden Creature souvenirs. Signed the logs as BOPnJAM to save room on the log. Nice quick find in the first place we looked.
With Hidden Creature souvenirs up for grabs. A plan was hatched with our Westie buddies. We were all ready for a stormy rainy day but the weather gods were good to us today with no rain until getting home at 10pm. A fun day was had by all and many thanks To all the COs for giving us a reason to come here. We had a nice mixture of cache containers, types, DTs and hides. We signed as BOPnJAM to save room on the logs. Please excuse my cut and paste logs in advance due to numbers. Cheers
Arrived here with Janno216 after complete 52 Cache Pickup along Waikato River. Day is short now in NZ but we still had some time before sunset so we decided to give a go few more hides in the area. This one was one of them. Quick find at GZ. All good here. TFTC
Some time ago tramyard and me already thought about doing this 52 Cache Pickup Trail. Today we both were free and it didn't rain so we made our way to Ngaruawahia (what a name !), prepered our bikes and started our journey.
After finishing the Trail we had still some time until the sunset so we dicided to walk in to the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve to grab four more Caches.
But we were still in Hunting Fever so we did another four more Caches in Huntly!
That was the first one of these and a quick and nice find.
Thanks for hiding!

Been in Hamilton working for the day and still needed 190 points to get all the planet souvenirs so decided to tackle a few on the way home.
Decided that Huntly had a few caches that we hadn't attempted so turned off and headed to the other side of the river.
Easy find and disturbed a huge beetle as I made the find as he went scuttling off.

#5022. Had a short but enjoyable stay in Auckland. Now its time to head home to Wellington for Christmas. But first another mission. My DGSC bulk find challenge concludes on Boxing Day and by then I will be trying to find up to 200 caches to bring up 1500 qualifying finds this year. So have three full on days of caching ahead of me before I get back home. Today I am tackling some Waikato power trails and staying overnight in Te Aroha so I can visit the old timer cache 101 tomorrow morning. Slowly heading further south. A quick find here. Signed and returned as found. Thanks for the cache eyespyben.
Nice quick find. Probably good looking here on a weekend maybe a bit busy during the week. TFTC
No worries here, the cache was a little exposed to the elements so after signing in, I covered it a little better. Thanks Gorby for that, I did a great job! Lol.

Nice quick find on a road trip to Auckland with Phillip.Perry to go on a trip to browns island.
Pulled up alongside, the wife was sitting in the back of the motorhome pointing at the cache before I had even jumped out. TFTC
Decided to take my oldest on an over night caching trip to Raglan. A great couple of days and a whole bunch of new smileys. My son had eyes on it before I'd even stopped the car so I let him do the honours, cheers again eyespyben.
Holidays in New Zealand! We have been looking forward to them for years. We had lots of time to prepare ourselves for a great trip. As geocachers, we also picked out a number of great caches. Armed with a "to-do list" and accidental encounters we were lucky to log many caches. Thank you for placing them and keeping the game go on!

Out and about today, collecting caches around Huntly to add to the tally. The weather fined up nicely and a had a great day finding hides. Parked up nice and close to GZ and spotted the likely hidey spot on approach. I was not wrong, as a super quick find was executed. Cheers for the cache placement!
Nice quick find, did lap around the carving schools carpark by mistake, luckily there was only one car there to notice me pull in and out, before finding the actual parking spot!
