Was in Buckland and thought it would be rude to leave this one. I brought a friend along to tell him how geocaching goes (he doesn't know what geocaching is). This was a nice easy find without the hint needed. Container wasn't small. More like micro. Tftc
Having dropped Mrs msc_20 off for dinner with friends I took a wee pootle to find a couple of caches before darkness fell. For some reason Id expected a more magnetic based hide. Happily though I approached the GZ from the correct angle and spotted the cache laying a little exposed. After signing I tucked the cache back a little better than I found it. Thanks thejaybeesFind #5420Found using Cachlymsc_20, formerly caching as msebn
TFTC First time in Buckland walking around. Spent a few mins looking in the wrong place but found eventually with the help of the kids
Nice easy find here, nice monument for the men and women who gave their lives for us.

Stop at the side of the Pukekohe race track to see the cars going around for the last time.
Remember coming here many times.
A short drive down the road to this quiet spot.

Took a bit of scouting around but after reading some past logs we focussed in and found it easy. Log looked pretty new but wasn’t in good condition due to being damp. Thanks .
No luck today.
Must have blinked. I like the sign about it not being a toilet!
Next time.......

Out and about with cragger, laval and B4Dawn. Had planned a nice walk but the weather was not playing ball so we decided some drive by caches would be a better option.
Cragger spotted this one easily - yay!
Thanks for the cache.

Last one of the day for us today. We’ve had a huge day leaving home at 7am and now it’s almost 5pm! Time for showers and a nice dinner I’m thinking. Thanks the thejaybees for the Puke caches.
Wasn’t thinking it’ll be where I found it but it was. Everything a bit soggy but managed to get our names on the log. Off to a family member for the night now after a big day caching from Taranaki TFTC.
It seemed appropriate that we found this cache on Anzac day with the memorial and newly laid wreathes nearby. Cache is no longer camoed and is gl
VContinuing on my caching trip. Day 2. There was a track maintenance crew working on the tracks close by. Fortunately they were fully occupied. TFTC.
Nice town I'm seeing for the first time. Can here parties in the back ground. Quick find heading back to auckland City for the night
With time to spare we went out geocaching while in the area

A very Lord of the Rings name for a village. Cache was a quick find in good order. TFTC.
Slowly heading back towards home and stopping in on a few caches along the way. No dramas here with a quick find and we were soon on our way again. TFTC
After a morning of geocaching we had intended to head into the main street of Pukekohe to do some shopping but decided to divert to look for this one first.
There were a couple of muggles having a conversation not too far from GZ but we managed to locate the cache without arousing their suspicions. TFTC.

Out and about up north waikato, grabbing som3 caches for the latest challenge, this one fit the bill. Late at night and I'll admit this one took me longer than it should have, but I followed the GPS and soon made a find. #1993
I had time today to go and find a few caches before I had to head to the airport and home. I got up early and was on the road by 6.30. Continuing on my drive south I stopped here to look for this cache. After I wandered around a bit I slowly zero'd in on where I needed to be and there it was. TFTC, Biggles.
Tyfc. Busy spot, had to make second attempt when muggles spoiled things earlier in the day
Quite wet when I found this one - wet grass, wet trees dripping, so wet me, as well. Still a charming little corner reserve and memorial. TFTC
Had to be patient with this as the worker needed to finish his mowing then got the chance to swoop TFTC
Well I had to grab one cache before hitting the road after the Duathlon Champs over at Pukekohe Parkway. This was most convenient. A very pretty little park & memorial. Just as I was reading the description, the barriers came down, lights flashing & train went past. TFTC!
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but thank you to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. We didn't have any problems here - the cache was found quickly thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. We signed in as DC + PP for expediency and the save on log space, cheers thejaybees, TFTC.

Two of us spent twenty minutes to no avail. GPS all over the place. Two showed it one side of the tracks, one showed the other side. Obviously both blinking too much.
It is almost 25 years to the day since last I was in New Zealand and for a wedding of some friends, well as it is coming up to their Silver anniversary we decided to come over and whilst here and Geocaching wasn't around last time, we can now tick off the Country and find one or two caches along the way.
No problem once on the right side and accessible position.
Thanks to thejaybees for setting and maintaining this cache and to all other owners for setting and maintaining theirs.
My find number 6351 to date Happy caching everyone

Nice quick park and grab. Container was filled with mud and worms so log is a bit damp.we cleaned it out as best as we could as we didn't have any water to wash it out with.
The roadworks continue !!
Fortunately they stop just before GZ
So I could park next to the park and wander in for a cache find
With the logbook in paw …
… disaster struck !! [:o]
I had lost me only caching pen !!
So I scratched me caching name in chlorophyll using a leaf and a car key

2385 Drove past this a few months ago but the roadworks prevented me from stopping. Road works still continuing but parking available so I took the opportunity. Cache quickly found and signed.
A quick look in and cache was spotted. lots of cones out and workers on the side of the road, who knows what they are working on. Last day of our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back to collect as many caches as we can. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
On our way home from a family funeral in Auckland and we really needed to do some caching to take our minds off that. After doing most of the run along Burtt Road we continued our journey homewards picking off the easy ones on the way.
Found on the ground, guess in the wind it must have been blown from it's hiding place. Mr S signed and replaced a little higher.
Thanks thejaybees.

We were in Pukekohe very early this Sunday morning , so decided we needed to find our cache of the day nearby - day 92 of our current streak. This one fit the bill nicely, and in a nice quiet area it was a quick and easy find. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.
After 6 nights in Waihi, it's time to move on, destination Pukekohe. A journey which should take less than an hour and a half, it took us several hours as there were one or two stops plus the occasional detour for caches.
The last find for the day. My GPSr was sure the cache was on the other side of the tracks, but luckily we found it on this side. Thanks for your hides today, jaybees, looks like this is jaybee country! TFTC.

After a frustrating morning not finding many caches I was happy for this nice quick one!
GPS had us walking backwards and forwards over the train tracks. Luckily it decided to behave and finally led us to the correct spot.
Cache type has been changed by someone. It is now a click clack container. It was there yesterday.
Happy to be caching as we choose Highway 22 for heading northward.
We didn't blink and we found it!
Straightforward find. All in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

After a long chat with a local worthy, discussing history of families and area- found it. A wee bit insects, but dry and intact.

Had a few spare minutes over lunchtime whilst at school with Junior today breaking in a new teacher, so headed off for some sun and a cache or 2....
Pulled into a suitable parking spot to make a quick find here.

It seemed that my GPSr was blinking since it almost missed this cache. It finally settled down enough for me to figure out where to look. The container seems to have changed from the description. TFTC.
Great little spot. Stopped on my way to visit an early childhood centre nearby! Had some trouble putting it back as there were a few walking muggles about. Quick find though and a lovely day for it!
When we heard that the second oldest cache in NZ was being archived, we decided this area would be our Queen's Birthday destination. We are so pleased with our choice, it is a charming part of rural NZ with all sorts of interesting hidden areas.
We covered the cache a bit more as it was quite exposed.

Quick find while driving back from a day in Tuakau. Quick find. Thanks for placing this cache
Out and about for a spot of afternoon caching in the rain. I had tried to find this cache previously, also in the rain, but came up empty handed. With previous finder MMM with me that day I was very sure cache was MIA. With a replacement now in place I was able to make a very quick find in the first place I checked. I will tell you what, caches are way easier to find when they are actually there! Glad to turn the frown into a smile for this one. Cheers for the cache (re)placement!
