As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
I couldn't find it either so when I finally looked at the current logs for this cache, I realised many others didn't either, very sad, very sad. Maybe the cache was cremated.
Also a DNF. We searched for maybe half an hour, poking amd prodding every nook and cranny, determined to find the thing, as we know it hasn't been found for awhile now. GPS coverage really is the pits here, maybe a more specific hint is needed? We would really like to find this cache!
Huge DNF here today. Then saw logs ahead of mine the same. Needs Maintaince. Haven't been here since my granny had her last ride .
Headed over here in my lunchbreak to have a look for this one after getting confirmation that this one is still in place. It was drizzling when i made it to GZ and all the trees were wet. GPS bounced around a fair bit and wasn't entirely sure where to concentrate my search. Ended up having a good look around one in particular but couldn't see anything that resembled the hint or the size of the container, although there are plenty of holes for a cache of this size to hide! Ended up heading off without finding, due to being wet and dirty. Ill come back another day, once someone else has found it, before i take another look.
Sorry, I forgot to update the cache listing, I did pop down to check on the cache and it is still there, but it had suffered from cache creep...I replaced the cache in the original hiding place so it's all good to go!
I am not currently living in Auckland so it is hard for me to keep an eye on my caches there. That said, I will be in Auckland this coming Friday so I will check up on this cache and hopefully replace my other cache around the corner. If any Geocaching locals want to adopt this cache, or my other one down the road at St Johns College, just let me know.
Was going to go have a look for this one. But seeing all the DNF's. decided not to. Maybe time for an owner check
DNF for myself and Move Star today also took a bit for the GPS to settle due to overhead cover but then I am sure we had the right place and would be an awesome place for a little hide but nothing there
No luck for us today although we were almost certain we had the right spot. Gave up after about 20 minutes of the two of us looking about. Hasn't been found since October- perhaps it could be checked up on? Will keep it on our watchlist because we'd love to find this one! Thanks for the hunt anyway.
Well that was a fun find. It took me having to return again after leaving last time due to high muggle factor and bad weather, but this time I found it on a pleasant evening walk. SL TFTC.
Love the cache name! Trying to make the best of a day that started too rainy to hike the Piha Gorge, we decided to fill in some gaps and pick up a few local caches. This one is an evil hide, but satisfying to find, especially since this was our second visit to the cache. Ran into another cacher near the site. Apparently she had been looking for this one before as well. The log sheet is getting damp, but is still in good nick. TFTC.
Congratulations, Paultaps! I'm glad that this cache has been found once again...it's been a while! AF.
Just checked on the cache and it is still in place, waiting to be found. Give it another go, chances are that you've already looked in the right place!
Apologies for taking my time on this one, I will check up on it today and report back by this evening.
looked in every hole with a torch, couldn't see anything. Tree I felt it could have been in has recently been heavily pruned, Has cache gone with the prunings?? Please can you check and confirm cache is still there. Thanks
Arman2000, his sister (my daughter) and I couldn't find this one even after about 20 min of searching. I'll try it again if someone else finds it first.
No luck. Maybe we were well off course so looked away a bit but likely hiding place has been delimbed.
This was one very frustrating cache! Delighted to find it after spending 45+mins looking today. Coordinates were a bit out, but then they usually are for us under trees. This cache was shaping up as the second DNF today. AV2 had wandered back to the car, AV1 decided one last quick round, a few last prods before the car option and the DNF. On virtually the last prod, but wait, whats this, could it be the cache? Yep, there it was. Phew. Very happy to drive away with 3 smilies. One for the cache and 2 happy cachers !
After DNFing the other nearby cache, decided that in order to keep my current streak, I had to find this one. No buts, I had to.
So, overly tired, I parked nearby, and made a walk over.
I at first thought I was going to have to give up, and with all nearby caches being currently disabled, it would pretty much have to be home time for me!
In avoidance, I searched like crazy! No sign of the cache there.
So I decided to follow my instincts instead of the GPS... and yup!! Sure enough, there was the cache! Right there! A bit hard to spot, and I had to use my pen to pull it out, but all good.
And as soon as I signed the log, off I was to go to one of my job-required things! So tired! And now after that being done, I think I shall crash! But yay for now being at day... hmm 24 I think of my streak! It is starting to drive me insane though...!

A quicker find than we feared but instructions had us good. Guess it also helps to know what a bison tube is. NINO TFTC
Last day if the holidays for Ger, and continuing our 'at least one cache a day' theme we have going...
Wow, cool hiding place, found after not too long and placed back carefully.

took a while to find this one with muggle friends. loved the method of comoflauge! TFTC
Also a 2nd visit, needed a hint from past finder, some times the obvious tree is not the one!
My second visit and still found it pretty tough. However located it after about 20 minutes searching. SL TFTC
This is my second visit here and it is finally nice to get this one off my to-do list. My GPS was showing that the GZ was 9m away.
Cheers for the cache.

Popped down today on a day of cache maintenance and this cache is still in place. I didn't have my GPS on me so I couldn't take new co-ords but I will within the next week.
XC and TK out and about on cycles... Wanted to get some exercise and some caches at the same time.. Rode here for the Second of the day. Looked and looked.. GPS was bouncing around 25 meters in all sorts of directions... Unusual for a Garmin 60CSx.. Looked in all the likely places to no avail.
Maybe more accurate coords or a clearer hint.
Thanks anyway.

Thats a few DNFs on what should be an easy cache. I will head down to the cache and confirm that all is well, I will also take some new co-ords just in case...
Out and about on bicycle with XC. Found a likely spot but an arborist has been at work in the last week or so ... may have muggled the cache
after a good search and finding nothing in the obvious spot, we read some of the other logs and extended the search until we had the cache in hand
I visited this cache today and replaced the container. Note: Container is now a black bison tube. Also, I have placed the cache in its originally intended location so the published co-ords should take you straight to the cache. Thanks!
A bit of spare tme lead me to this cache this morning.

Have always liked this entrance to the cemetary, a very appropriate cache name.

Out and about on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Headed towards GZ and as expected the GPS was a little confused. Went to several trees and soon discovered the cache. TFTC
Headed straight for the obvious location but was not there.. Found it nearby.. GPS not so accurate with all the trees
Was heading back to the office from the Trans Tasman Business Round Table lunch in the city and decided to head back to Penrose through the suburbs. Arrived at a parking spot and headed for GZ. GPS was totally confused under the tree cover so went on caching intuition and came up with the goods. Checked the GPS again and it said 4m so must have settled down eventually. TFTC
Did looked at the GPSr when I approach GZ, went straight to the most likely candidate but all I found was a screw driver.
The GPSr pointed me 15 away.
Quick found once at the correct spot.

This one began a conversation between Mr P and myself about 'I'm NOT going to the cemetery.", and "This isn't at the cemetery" "But this is the way to the cemetery." "But it isn't at the cemetery".... and there is a hole in my bucket as well. Cache 10m SE of published co-ords. t4tc (and thank you for not putting it in the cemetery)
Said goodbye to a few rellies and friend here as they made their last ride. Thanks.
I noted this caches publication, but was unable to slip out to attempt the first-to-find. Anyway, was driving along St. Johns Rd today when I remembered that AF had placed a new cache at the entrance to Purewa Cemetery. I decided a quick detour was in order, though I did not have my GPS on me. I figured I had a good idea of approximately where GZ was from the listing and that following my nose would be as good as following a GPS under tree cover. Tried a likely spot, then a few unlikely spots, then finally another likely spot contained the cache. I wouldn't recommend putting a cache inside a bag. It creates a mirco climate and will encourage condensation. Wouldn't hurt to update the cache listing with container size details and an attribute or two. Cheers for smiley AF!

Noticed a newly published cache at 5:20pm whilst getting ready to head home from work. Decided to take a short detour (30mins) in heavy traffic, was pleasantly surprised to find a blank logbook. Co-ords OK, found in the second spot we checked. Many thanks AotearoaForever for the cache and FTF.

This one had to be found before we could get there and it was. Nice spot, gps a bit confused by cover so had to look at a few trees before finding it by accident while deciding where to look next. TFTC!!!
Was out with angeshirl and as luck would have it we were headed in this direction so a small detour later we turned up for a search. Picked the wrong tree to begin with, just started on the second when a helpful voice suggested I scale down my search a little. Quickly found after that - cheers FMZ . GPS was a bit off but nothing unexpected given all the trees. TFTC
