A few days in and around Melbourne. As part of this we also visit Phillip Island. There is a lot to see and experience here. Many animals live here and so we visit bird parks, wildlife parks, koalas, penguins and seals.Walk nature trails into the bushland and enjoy the sea and the bay. We also find and log a few cans. Many thanks to the owner who looks after and maintains these cans and greetings from the Moorhelmi
I came early in the morning and there's just so many muggles getting their early morning caffeine fix. So I came back late in the evening and it was easy and quiet.
Oh, I love this sculpture. It was a bit of a challenge to retrieve being outside a cafe, but with a bit of help got there. A great hide. TFTC
*31 Aug 2024, Found @9:54AM, Find # 3914.*Today mazza-g and I planned a day of caching on the island with a few events inbetween. A quick find with the muggles sitting behind us oblivious to what we were doing. **Thanks to Bounty Trackers for placing this cache.**
On the island to attend a CITO. Called by here on the way. Cafe was open and people having breakfast. Reckon we retrieved the cache and returned it without being noticed. Great sculpture. TFTC
MissAdventure3 and I are down here for a Country Fire Authority training weekend from over the other side of the bay. Of course we couldn't let the opportunity of finding caches pass us by! Today happens to be my birthday and we were also blessed with sunny weather! A reasonably quick find as I saw old mate straight away. Almost got muggled by the crossing guard but we are pretty good at "acting casual"
We were just having lunch and Mr S said 'there's a cache right there' and promptly went and got it. Loved the sculpture, thanks.
Passing through Phillip Island today as the Bass Coast got a bit wild and windy for us. Had to stop here and check out the "dude", and what a kool dude he was.JonnyGoldcoast was straight on it as there were no muggles due to the cool wintry conditions. I wonder where all the surfers were?Thanks Bounty Trackers for bringing us here. I added an extra strip of paper so that finders can still log their find. Cache on ??
Very cool. GPS took us to the wrong place, then settled down and we found the hide. Some muggles around but they ignored us. Log is full, sorry we had nothing with us to replace. TFTC
bunadoorian and I came here so I could sign my name in the logbook. I was with bunadoorian when he found it many years ago - as it was before I had my own geocaching account. While we enjoyed a drink waiting for some muggles to go or be distracted and for the cafe to close _ I was able to retrieve , sign and return the cache. TFTC and for bringing me back here Bounty Trackers.
Not so cool dude found it! Glad it's midweek and no muggle bustle to make for a hustle bustle find. The planets aligned and a spontaneous decision to head down to the Island for some sea breeze, ozone and coastal vistas on a free day AND of course caching (or casheering as dear mum would say) transpired. This great hobby is such an invitation to explore aspects of any location and the ISLAND has plenty of that. Quick find at GZ with a good hint. TFTc and the FUN.
Awesome but of metal art, thought this might be tricky but with a good hint we soon had the cache in hand. We have a surfer dude sculpture near home with a cache on but this sculpture is way better.Thanks Bounty Trackers for the cache, found, signed and replaced.

SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! This evening we came to the island to see the Penguin Parade. We stopped and got this one on our way back to Melbourne. TFTF!
Mrs. Amazing and I are on a three week trip in New Zealand and Australia as part of our bucket list. This is one of the geocaches we got along the way. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!

At short notice I had to head to Philip Island today to pick up a family member. Although on a tight time line, I made a quick stop to search out this quirky, awesome sculpture. Rotating with the wind, I made the grab and signed the log. A quick reset and I was on my way. TFTC and for bringing me to this cool piece of art Bounty Trackers

After going and hanging ten on the board it was time to go hunt for a cache with this cool surfer dude. Thankfully it was nice and quiet and the cache could be found, signed and returned nice and quickly.TFTCPs. Also had to make time for a little fun.
Lucky it was quiet here this arvo, the cafe has just closed and the nearby wave was more popular with the kids. We big kids headed for the cool surfer dude and the hint had cache in hand fast. Thank you for placing this cache, a fave from me.

I wanted to get away for a while and the coast is always the place for me to relax and unwind. Phillip Island is one of my favorite places for a beach break so i decided to head down here and remind myself what the ocean looks like, its been far too long. I booked some pet friendly accommodation for the week and then threw together a list of caches to tackle on the way down but didnt make any plans for the island itself. Island time doesnt need plans . This is my second day here and today i plan to do some more exploring and visiting some old haunts. Im sure i will manage to fit in a few caches on the side too.
I dropped in here to eat the scallop pie i just bought across the road, delicious by the way. Then i set about finding the cache. There were a couple of people sitting at the nearby cafe so i was trying to be stealthy when i tripped over a garden edging. I fell against the nearby sculpture, it swung wildly and rattled and clanged loudly, so much for being sneaky. Oh well i soon found the clever cache so was able to collect it along with the weird looks.
