Along with Kw12 coulnt find it. There been a car accident on the corner judging by the debris so maybe the cache has disappeared following the repairs? Nice to meet NgatiFox doing the same cache.
Hmmmmm, wandered around trying look look all casual. GPS said it should be on the metal object but no amount of reaching and scanning and running my hand along surfaces (in between cars - there is a definite ebb and flow of traffic) No joy Could be that it's in a different spot, or be more hidden than I had taken into account... or it may have been Muggled. Second visit here, I really wanted to find this one!
Kiwi the TB liked the Trees though- but the earthworks nearby made him a bit nervous... so he came home to watch Elementary with us.
Oooooh so cool - spotted a fellow Cacher and tagged in with his team to see if they could spot this elusive (for me anyway) cache. No luck tonight either, but it was great to meet One Ranger & kw12!

No luck with this one today. Not sure if we were looking in quite the right spot
Tried finding this as part of a mega cache hunt with fellow enthusiasts one evening but unfortunately had to rush off after no success. Looked at and around the exact spot located by geocache app, but to no avail. Thanks for the adventure out further west from where I usually am anyway!
I love this cache! it's only my second one and I assumed the cache would be in the trees but..... You have to be wary of people walking by, heaps of runners etc but I got there in the end

Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log below. Sad to see the line through it now! when we were here it was a quick grab, although it does help if you have a GPS. Thanks again for the hide.

Well I was a bit confused thinking all this time it was on the other side of the road, in the small park on the corner. Got that so wrong. Went in the evening, found parking easily outside shops, then crossed the road, to make our way to GZ. Took some photos of the earthworks over the fence, I guess its the next stage in the housing subdivision. Thanks for the hide, and reminder of the trees for babies programme arranged through Council.
In a little break in the traffic I managed ti quickly retrieve the cache. Tftc.
Well this one was well positioned as it allowed us the opportunity to engage in some refreshments after we grabbed the cache.
This is Day 2 of our trip to the Land of the Long White Cloud for the 2013 NZ MEGA event in Auckland. I joined Gunnie69 and Kaisho53 for a fun packed 5 days of geocaching adventures.

A quick grab with Kaisho53 and Ghostgums while working our way around to tackle the blues clues caches. Barely out of the car, Ghostgums pulled the container from its lair and we added our names to the log. All done, it was time to head off to the next.
Cheers PhantasmNZ.

Came to check on the traceable I dropped in August, TB taken but not logged? Is this one lost? Does the cache owner know?
Thanks
Thanks
Great spot, nice stealth challenge! TFTC

Used to always visit this bakery when visiting friends who moved away a few years back, so out west today and stooped at the bakery and grab a cache Only our 2nd westie cache. TFTC no sign of TB
My turn after work to grab a cache for the 'August' challenge. Had been looking at the weather all day hoping it would not be raining when I left for the day, alas as a colleague was leaving at 4pm she was commenting that after looking at the rain radar things weren't looking that flash for between 5-6pm (her daughters netball game), I didn't really take it in at that point.
5pm knock off time comes, weather - light rain - I can cope with that.
Jump into car & head off to Te Atatu Peninsula (original plan) but alas that was soon changed as the weather turned ugly, absolutely chucked it down with rain which kept the wipers going flat tack!
Saw this one on the GPS & figured this would be the better option! After dodging the river that was now the pavement, managed to find relatively quickly and sheltered(?) under nearby trees while signing the log.
Didn't see TB in there though....???
NB: I don't think anyone was paying attention to me in my bright red raincoat - I doubt they could see anything through the heavy rain!!

Easy grab and run, park full with voting signs, left " traveling Kiwi" Bon Voyage may you reach your destination
I liked this one, I planted a tree here when my big boy was one. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Both my boy and tree have grown.
Was exciting to get this easy one just before midnight after heading home from working late !

Ig dropped Mig off as he waited up the road as the police car that was driving by was watching so another one to Mig.
This cache formed part of our assault on West Auckland for the day.

Found awhile back but have only logged today as checking all finds. Sorri but was overlooked. Nice cache.
What a busy road. Eventually managed to retrieve, sign and replace the cache in between the hoards of seemingly never-ending motoring muggles. TFTC.
cycling up to it i thought, not another one of those - and yes it was. After retrieving the cache and signing the log an elderly lady decided to take a tumble a few meter up the road. So i had to go get her help, and managed to return the cache when every one was distracted.
Was driving along with the bike in the boot for another tackle at these puzzle trail caches, when I took a wrong turn on the round about, ad ended up discovering there was a cache here along the way!!
So, I quickly pulled over, and parked, before running over to the GZ to get the cache.
It was rush hour, but the cars were all really just flying past, not caring what I was doing. So, I casually, reached in, knowing exactly where the cache would be, and yay! Got it too!!

A nice quick find, even with my 3-year-old niece in charge of the GPS. It was her second find! TFTC.
checs' phsychic mind and sense had her on target even though we forgot the GPS well done dear.
Seems recall a missing cache in this same park, this time all was good for a quick find. t4tc
Quick find on the way home from the puppy trail up north with mike-miss. TFTC.
Well, I had heard the big rescue story of this cache, saved by a newbie cacher from workmen replacing the GZ.... Niced easy Find. TFC.
Glad this one didn't get taken away by the road workers, nice little cache - just be careful crossing the road!
*Edit* Cache is now back in its hiding place
Ive taken this cache today as there are workmen fixing the barrier, and i caught them just in time whilst driving past. Once its fixed, ill go put it back and write another note on here to say its done. Unless you want me to get it to you PhantasmNZ?

My first ever cache found, and I must've looked like a complete dick trying to find it. I did try to be stealthy (I took bubba along and made it look like I was tending to her). Only problem is that in my haste to put it back inconspicuously, I think it may not be able to be found now if you know what i mean... I can go back under cover of darkness and fix it later on today or tomorrow.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Driving past and realised it wasnt actually too busy on the roads and not many people around, so a quick stop and a quick find.

Good hide. Luckily caught a break in the traffic and could make it look like I was inspecting the damage to the gz. Presumably a recent oooopsey daisy... Tftc
Very busy road for Christmas day. Used friends kids who were with me to hide what I was doing from one direction, so only had to wait for the gap i traffic from the other - otherwise would never have got it. TFTC
Found with Zork while doing the area. Lots of people walking around but got there in the end.
Had my own Geocache here but it didn't last too long.
This one was an easy find at the end of a good day.

Along with Lady Winsome, I took the Airship Halberg to investigate this rift in the time-space continuum. I was testing to see whether there may be an aethereal vortex linking this anomaly to another nearby anomaly. Once we arrived in the general vicinity and had disembarked the Halberg, we set off on foot towards the park where this anomaly is reported to be. Lady Winsome accurately pointed me towards the most likely spot for the location of the anomaly. We have sent a makeshift marker through the anomaly to see if it might eventually end up in the other nearby anomaly. This is not a very scientific experiment, as there is no control for checking the destination of the marker should it arrive elsewhere. This is only a makeshift attempt for now.

Watch out for the muggles! Thought the GPS was sending us in the wrong direction at first but no, it really is there.
Parked on the other side of the road which took longer to cross than it did to find the cache. Liked the idea behind the tree planting.
Cheers for the cache.

Once it was a forbidden area and only to be done in the team but it has changed since then so today while in that area with my dad to visit his mate, I decided to sneak out and sign this one off...

Great to be here as we used to live not far from here when we first moved up from Wanganui.
Found soon after making it to GZ
We used to shop at the local bakery years ago and it was a great place for lunch. Didn't bother too today though.

Not the nicest of evenings to go caching, but we needed a find for today's date. This local cache looked quick and easy, and so fitted our needs perfectly. Thanks!

Out with Mel_Ramsay who is currently the other half of team Walking Wounded. Nice quick little find on a stretch of road I've driven past for many years. TFTC
Off to grab some dinner with evilno9 to a place we have been many times, and discovered there was a cache on the way. Hobbled out with a bung leg and made a quick find. TFTC

After a visit to my mother nearby I thought I'd visit this cache on my way back to where I was staying. We used to live not too far from here in the first house we ever bought in Auckland. Good coordinates and a quick find. Not too muggly here today either. TFTC, Biggles.
