I'm currently on a weekend roadtrip up to the big smoke to attend a mate's 50th party this evening so thought it would be a great opportunity to try to grab some caches in an area I have never visited before.
It only took me a moment or two to spot where this cache should have been hiding, but I'm afraid that even after a fairly thorough search I had to come away empty handed.

This was our last find in the area today before heading back to Auckland. There was a large group of muggles attending a service at the top of the hill but fortunately far enough away to not cause any problems. Our timing was perfect as just after we re-hid the cache the service ended and they started to leave.
Thanks thejaybees for this and all of your other caches in the area. They all contributed to us having a great day in Pukekohe. TFTC.

On a hunt for some caches around town, caching in the evening works in our favor with everywhere being quite and made for easy finds. Thanks for the placement and our first time being in this town.
While staying with some friends in Pukekohe I figured I'd go on a small excursion to clean up my map. This cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to a good hint and a straight forward placement but there was a very prickly bush nearby. Cheers thejaybees, TFTC
Yes parked my car almost at GZ. Nice spot. Thanks for showing us this place. TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and our Huntly friends; ABCDF4 and eyespyben...
It seems that my companions have all logged this hide. Fortunately for me, they knew where to look, and we were on the case quickly... We had trouble trying to get around the prickly bushes, and the hint object was also an obstruction. After many minutes, Mrs ABCDF4 spotted something pushed well back... TFTC.

Nice quick park and grab before leaving Puke and heading home to Howick. Will be a slow trip ... motorway blocked with Ed Sheeran fans.
Nice wee hide had to come back to this one muggles sitting there, but good to go now
Thanks for moving this one. Turned a sad face into a blue face. Young geocacher managed to reach this one without injury
Thanks for replacing this thejaybees.
First to sign fresh log!
Very thorny plant nearby...but managed to not draw blood....

Had a really long look but its quite overgrown where the coordinates are. Got plenty of souvenir scratches but no cache
We found the hint a little misleading respectively we took the hint too literally and the smartphone also played tricks on us.. So it took us quite some time to find the cache. After walking up and down and looking a little further, we finally succeeded.

3222 Up clearing some caches in the area. I called here some months ago but a local council worker was mowing in the area so I only had a half hearted look. Back today for another look. A few people visiting some of the residents but not interested in me. A bush nearby created cover from the closest. After walking up and down a couple of time "Making a phone call" I spotted the cache. Braved the barberry and soon had it in hand. Once signed it was tucked away again. Thanks for the placement.
Last cache for our day in Pukekohe. We had to be careful between muggles. Took us a bit of time but then we had the cache. Signed and returned. TFTC
I decided to organise a mini night mission to Pukekohe before things got busier at work and found some other keen Geocachers in HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r to join me after putting the feelers out for any interested parties at a local event. We left about 7:30 once I got the kids into bed and left for home just after midnight. We had hoped to find more than we managed so we will have to come again and grab those we missed. A big thank you to all those CO’s for hiding and maintaining the caches we found.
We dared come at night. We didn't find the hint to helpful but coords are good and after a fairly lengthy search we managed to make the find.

Out and about tonight, heading to Pukekohe to clean out a few caches with Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and HKCB. We only had a few hours to spare and so we left Hamilton at 7.30 and finished up just after midnight before it was time for home for a few hours sleep so we could all be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next day. (silly idea!) Perhaps next time we just keep going and don't sleep!
Parked at the gates and walked down as we are some of those crazy people caching at night. Great place to visit at night. Spent a lot longer hunting here as I think we took the hint to literally rather than trusting in the GPS. Eventually found the cache and could move on.

Teamed up with Iammrwalker, 11HPG11 and Kyb3r for a night raid on Pukekohe. I've been wanting to find a few caches up here for a while but never had the time or other missions got in the way. Had heard talks of this night raid at an event recently and quickly put my hand up to tag along. It turned out to be a very successful mission, even with the handful of DNF's we had. A big thanks to the CO's who's caches we found. Signed the logs as HOAC to save room.
Had to park up at the gate is it was well past the normal visiting hours. Took a bit of a hunt to locate, I think we were taking the hint a little to literally. Thanks for the hide.

Searched for awhile here and finally spotted. got pricked many times. tucked it back away. not a single muggle around today. Last day of our 4 day road trip from Hawkes Bay to Auckland and back to collect as many caches as we can. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
There were a few horizontal fence posts but got this one quickly once we looked a little further TFTC
The wet conditions made searching unpleasant, so we may have given up too easily.
Out and about, making my way South via the back roads today for some cache detection. Nearly a year since my last visit here. Keen to rectify that DNF. Parked up and made my way to GZ. Checked a likely spot briefly before another. Went back to the original spot and a more careful look revealed the cache. Dropped a trackable and replaced with a little natural camo. Nice to finally get a smiley for this one. Cheers for the cache (re)placement!
No sign. There are only limited places a cache of this could hide and as an expert like lostcourse couldn't find it I didn't spend much time on it.
Out and about for a spot of caching this afternoon. This was my first stop and not a good start. Certainly not the quick find I was hoping for. Hint made sense but 20 mins of searching didn't turn up the goods. Might need a check.
Out and about in the area today. Nice spot here. Managed to make a quick find without disturbing anybody. SL. TFTC.
Was out in Puke for a meeting and drive past this one often so thought I would check it out... no mugglers and had the whole place to myself.... great views from the car park.
Cache was a little damp, but the log was double bagged so in good order.

Great and easy find, we got confused about something in the description but then when we arrived we then realized. Have fun finding it
Thankful for the rubber gloves for this one. A couple of muggles paying their respects nearby but not paying any attention to us. A reasonable quick find.
Initially searched the wrong log, but eventually figured where we'd gone wrong and found the cache. Realised later I had a couple of huge thorns in my jandal. Thanks for the cache
It was a quiet day in spite of all the people here. Found quickly and reburied like the others. XNSL. TFTC.
Thank you for bringing me here. Tried talking to some of the locals but they didn't respond
Off on a mission to complete challenge cache 37 South.
4th of the day. There were some muggles over the hill a bit but I was able to find and replace without any trouble.

A really pretty spot. Would be a good place to be forever one day. Not yet tho...too many caches to find yet.
10th find while in NZ for a holiday.
Found quickly after figuring out which fallen post was it.

Found on day 3 of my visit to the North Island as a part of the upcoming NZ mega event weekend, and this was another reasonably quick find on my way south today. Pulled up near GZ, and soon had the cache in hand after having to wait for some muggles to move on. A very beautiful spot.

New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 2. I only saw one neighbor and they were throwing sticks for a dog. Up at the cache I was alone and soon found it. Thanks.

Cache quite exposed when we found it so we covered well when replacing...added a few treasures. Have passed here a few times on the way to guide camps not realizing what lay beyond the gates...TFTC
Out this way to knock a few off, and this was next on our list. Came through and found cache lying out in the open, but all intact. Signed the log, and rehid a bit better. TFTC
Out here today with lemski and came in search of this one. Found a good spot to park and made the short walk to GZ. Found the cache completely out in the open but all in good order - so replaced it back in line with the hint and gave it a touch of extra coverage to keep it concealed. TFTC
Easy find in a nice spot, log signed without disturbing the residents, Cache in good order, TFTC.

I was initially searching the wrong hint object until I spotted the right one and then the cache. Nice one! TFTC, Biggles.
Out this afternoon with 3 young ladies after a Girl Guide cookout at the A & P showgrounds. Found this one today.
Very restful place. Spent some time after wandering up and down (respectfully) looking at the muggles.
In the area as kids are orienteering at Wesley College. Dead quiet at 8.45 in the morning. TFTC
Cache in plain sight. Try to cover it a bit. Hmm for children! Think I need to take more care, cause I hurt myself with the wire. Hope kids will be a bit more carefull.
4 of 164 finds in the 24hr Cache-A-Tron Waikato Cache Raid

Quick little grab just as we were getting into the swing of things... easily found and retrieved without any scratches (the injuries came later to some of our party)

Fourth from 164 on our 24hour cache-a-tron mission. Nice quick little find then back of in the van to continue our mission...
We were well underway on our 24hr caching mission. Making our way to the Tron. Nice little grab and well under our 5min timelimit. TFTC.
Found on our 24hr caching mission, Cache-A-Tron - Auckland to Hamilton and back again. Starting to get the hang of this 'out of the car, grab cache and back into the car' thing now. Spotted this one on approach once we found the right fallen post. TFTC
