Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Robe for a few days to grab some find. Drizzly winters day as we range from Robe to outlying areas. This hide is not in a rest stop but in scrub along the highway. . Thanks for the hide. LNCU??
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are now based in Robe, exploring the wild coastline and beautiful countryside. Cache in good dry condition. TFTC. ?? LNCU
Well May has come around once again, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find many but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the beautiful Autumn days in the low 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC
March 2, 2024 Find 4775 on March 2, 2024Day#5 on Fergzters trip to the Great Leap Forward Event. Today we began at Kingston SE and are heading in the general direction of home in Ballarat. Thankfully I don't need to be there until tomorrow. Nice quick drive by. All is well with the cache. TFTC jantoshys

Today on my epic LGA trip through VIC and SA I covered just over 1000km and around 15 LGA’s. My GPS thought there was a rest area here but nope.
Thanks jantoshys for the cache.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC jantoshys

The journey home begins. I’ve selected some badly needed caches to target on the way home, and we’ll see what else time allows.
This was one of four caches logged to snare Naracoorte-Lucindale LGA; I grabbed some extras as it wasn’t clear where the borders are. Thanks to all the COs for these caches placed to break our trip.

Found at 16:02 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find
Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.
Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.
Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.
Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.
Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.
Thanks for the hides

Apologies for the generic log.
Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.
Along the way we stopped to find as many caches as we could - because we somehow convinced our better halves not to accompany us. Or perhaps it was because they really don't like caching as much as us.
We came well equipeed in the Pahero, with not one, not two but THREE TOTTs to help us. Even that wasn't sufficient for all the hides, sometimes you just don't have the right tool for the job.
We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.
Thanks jantoshys for placing and maintaining the cache

Our time in the South East is drawing to a close now so today we headed north grabbing those caches towards Kingston which we hadn’t already found and then enjoyed a bit of four wheel driving in Mt Scott Conservation Park to grab another cache and a Trig Point.
This cache is marked as being at a rest stop on our map but no signs that there has ever been anywhere to rest here now
Many thanks for the hide jantoshys

Found during a camping trip to the Coorong and the Southeast areas with brisal5 and I in one vehicle, and e.gregory and friend in the other. We travelled around the Narrung Peninsula and down the Coorong where we spent the first night camped out at Tea Tree Crossing. Enjoyed some challenging driving and eventful cache finds, wandering bush tracks and strenuous sand dune climbs in very scenic areas. The second night saw us camp out in Little Dip before meandering the country roads in search of an assortment of Traditional, Earth, Multi and Puzzle caches further down the coast before heading back home via Lucindale, Padthaway and Keith. Thanks for the cache jantoshys!
Having an early start to the long weekend and making my way down to Millicent. I stopped for a few caches along the way.

Back down to Mount Gambier with Mogni. She wanted to do mainteneance on some of her caches. We took the inland road down there and stopped at every cache i hadn't found and cleaned up some of the newly published caches for her. We even got a unexpected joint ftf on the way.
Day 172 (Tuesday 18th) of our trip. Caching along the way. Left Millicent today. A total of 11 for the day and 3012 for the trip. TFTC

A nice and easy find.
A big weekend away down to the south east of the state, the major focus was to par take in the 100mile (160km) cycle classic around mount gambier on the Saturday. Along he way as always there and back I collected a few caches (near 100 on my round trip)
Thanks for the cache and its placement.

We were fortunate to locate this cache reasonably quickly as when we found the container, we were 7m north-west of the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks jantoshys for the cache.
Today was our final day in the south-east, as I did a few sinkhole and cave dives, and then geocached for the afternoon and upon my return to Adelaide. I geocached around Tantanoola checking out the town and tiger, before heading back and geocaching around Millicent, stopping at a few of the Commurra Bus series on the way through to Kingston S.E., and then making a brief stop in Meningie.
Despite the simple hint, it seemed like there was quite the few logs and stumps along the back fence around GZ, but the one holding the container was undeniable in its grandeur. The container is cracked and looks like it's tried to have an attempted repair. The logbook appears dry and ok though, so all good, thanks jantoshys.

As usual I was chasing caches along the highway,
so stopping every 2 hours for a break was not a problem
If I don't stop ever 10 minutes or less,
then I have a problem [:o]
A handy roadside stopping spot was found.
A lot of long grass by the roadside was found [:o]
Look out snakes here I come
GZ was reached after an itchy stroll,
and the cache found
TFTC ... I'll pick all the grass seeds out of me socks now [:o)]

Owl was heading home after 5 days on the road and cache blindness was setting in. However, a combination of stubbornness and PaFs got her over the line on a number of caches. This one was further than expected and fortunately dry.
Travelling to Millicent, caching along the way with earthlight on a chilly breezy day.. Another find and sign and onto the next.

A weekend run down to the south east, with Moneydork, Freddo, Hevwalker and Phoenix Flare. We opted for the coastal route, and much of the scenery was amazing. Of course, there were plenty of caches on the way as well. We managed to reach our destination just before the Maitland event, and it was a great experience.
Very much looking forward to spending more time down this way for a while yet!
This was find number 28 of 33 for the day for me. TFTC jantoshys!

From our base in Millicent, in the very good company of fellow Victorians Suscoe, we enjoyed the scenery and the history lessons, of a day along the coast including Robe and Cape Jaffa.
It would seem a critter got to this one before us and had made a feast of the container.
**Feedback to CO:** A critter has made this one non-weatherproof.
Thanks 'jantoshys' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

What a brilliant day Suscoe had today out and about with our good friends Phetlern.
Sunshine, some light drizzle here and there, some fog, a gentle breeze, sheep, cows, horses, foxes, seabirds and loads of wonderful countryside including coastal scenery and pastoral lands greeted us as we travelled from Millicent to Cape Jaffa and back again.
We enjoyed our day out and we found lots of caches.
Thanks to the jantoshys for this hide, the container has been taped up on one corner and the zip lock needs replacing too, perhaps time for a TLC visit.

Found with Astronaut99 and Beaker on a long weekend camping, kayaking and geocaching adventure up the Coorong and all over the Fleurieu Peninsula. Highlights included seeing hundreds of Pelicans in the Coorong, Jellyfish in the crystal clear waters at Victor Harbour/Port Elliot, visiting a sea cave, and waking up in our swags on Australia Day to see the silhouette of kangaroos! Thanks

ROAD TRIP! Well a short one. Heading down to Mount Gambier. Direct way has very few caches that I haven't found. So take the scenic route and grab some caches along the way. [^]
I can't really explain why I hadn't stopped to grab this one on one of my earlier trips. Time to rectify that. Another quick find and stretch of the legs.
Thanks jantoshys for the cache.

As we came along the highway we picked up the bus stop series. As a child I went to school by bus leaving at 7.30am arriving at school at 9am, so I spent many hours travelling this way.
The later section was sand hills, salt pans & lakes, a totally different landscape.
Thanks for placing this cache jantoshys

Day Three of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I toured from Robe up to Kingston SE, and looped back around the Commurra Bus Run to Robe (and greasies for tea!).
A lot of caches in Kingston SE need a lot of TLC.
Pulled up and dashed across the road for this cache. Lots of long grasses here, but nothing living showed its head today.
Great stump.
Thanks, Robmc.

#11588. Day 3 of our holiday and today Robmc and I left windy Robe and headed for windy Kingston S.E. and surrounds. On leaving town after lunch we headed out for some more outlying caches and to do the Commurra Bus Run series on the way back to Robe.
Soon located the cache in a likely place. The container was OK but the log books plastic bag is quite shredded. Needs a new one.
Thanks jantoshys

Container has a hole in it, it has gone very brittle over time and will get more damaged as it is handled and in the sun.
An early Sunday drive in between showers of rain to grab a cache to keep the daily streak going.
Looking at the satellite picture this area was once a rest area with a drive in off the road but these days its a bit of a bush bash to GZ, but all good in wet weather when we don't have to worry about snakeys!!
Also looks like this is the original container, we didn't have anything to replace it with but the plastic is not sun tolerant and is not going to keep anything too dry this weather, we shall place a Needs Maintainence log. Replaced as found.
Thanks jantoshys for the cache TNLNSL

CPwanderer, clare007 & I stopped here on our way home from the weekend in the South East...
Discovered it was not such a good idea to wear shorts when caching...actually I did know that before but still I don't learn...this time it was the hundreds of tiny, fine spider webs strung across between the reedy dried grasses...they were sticking to my legs as I walked to this one...it was quickly located in an obvious spot...I would not have normally stopped here to break the drive...

I had pulled over in Millicent on my way home to Adelaide last night from the BLE and only realised how tired I must have been when I woke up and used the Tomtom to locate the nearest public toilet: 45m from me across the road
So after morning ablutions were completed, I headed out to get a cache or two while I was waiting until I could purchase some breakfast.
All up, I attempted and did actually locus cache effectively at 16 caches on my way home, with the last find also being a FTF at a place that I had been stuck at a few days before on my way to the BLE!
This was an interesting stop.... or not! In fact I did a u-turn as I believed that I had missed the entrance
Parked on the side of the road and walked in, in sandals so I kept an ever watchful eye on where my feet were placed
Quick find and then back on the road again
