Solved the puzzle easily enough but had no luck turning up a cache at GZ unfortunately.
Unlike the previous visit there was no one about today so managed to poke about in earnest and soon found it.
I had to get a few caches with specific D/T ratings so that I can qualify for my Provisional Licence and this is one of them.
I think locating the cache took longer than solving the puzzle. I don't know how many times I searched the GZ before putting my hands on the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
GZ was a popular place tonight. I had to return three times before I had the place to myself.
Despite the darkness and multitude of hiding spots I was lucky enough to put my hands on the cache pretty much straight away. Does that make this hard or basic?

Had looked at this cache a wee while ago, but didn't spend too long looking at it, and left it on the side. Today this afternoon I decided to have a go at solving all the puzzles out Waikowhai way, and managed to do like 5 actually! - Exams are coming up...
This was one of the solves, and very straight forward - I think I am getting better at this! Haha.
Decided I'd collect a couple of the caches before it got dark, and so started off with this one. Kids were playing nearby - like really little kids! What were they even doing still out?! But luckily I was obstructed from their view, and so eventually managed to grab the cache. Did have to use my GPS as a light though, as I forgot the torch in my car, and it had pretty much just gotten dark!!
TFTC!!

I'd looked at this puzzle a few times in the past with no success. Looked at it again yesterday and once I'd found a tool that could cope with the problem, the answer was found quite quickly. Went to GZ today to find another cache that has survived the winter without any finds and is still in great condition. TFTC, Biggles.
My first attempt at solving this gave only a partial solution and the rest wouldn't reveal itself, so it went quickly onto THAT pile. Eventually re-visited and with a different tool this time a complete result.

Puzzle solved ages ago and finally in the area today to claim the find. Abit of a rumage around at GZ and soon we had the cache in hand. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache!
Solved this ages ago, and in the area today to collect. Took a bit of fossicking before the eureka moment. TFTPC.
Had not looked at this puzzle since it was initially published, until just this evening... With the new hint, the puzzle is almost too easy, probably only 2 star, no need even for a geochecker. Nicely done though. Had the coordinates within a minute. Armed with them, I was a bit concerned the find might be a trifle muggly, but no, the hide is situated very nicely such that even surrounded by all manner of muggles, as I was, the find can be made with none being any the wiser! Designed a cache hunt around the Hillsborough region for today and so this puzzle needed to be solved. Having spent a good portion of my mental energy on a tough FMZ puzzle that had me chasing down possible number conversions (still unsolved) I had a rough idea of what may be involved in this one. The clue certainly made the work easier!.
Actual finding rights go to the "cache whisperer" of the team, shame he seems to disregard the work of "puzzle solving", its all about the hunt....

Solved ages ago, finally in the area prior to the 11/11/11 event. TFTC and Puzzle
Out and about before lunch today to collect puzzle caches. I noted this cache on publication. I knew what needed to be done, but it quickly became clear that it would be a real grind. No time for that I'm afraid! So, when the cache page was updated the new hints made for an easy solve. Though the first calculator I used produced half answers and gibberish. But the second option got Lostcourse back on track. Took a few minutes, but I finally spotted the cache in the obvious spot. Cheers for the puzzle and cache!
Hard enough puzzle that we wouldn't have solved it without the extra clue. Thanks for an interesting puzzle.
Quick find even thought I neglected to bring the co-ordinates with me today. While signing the log I wondered how I would explain myself if I had of got caught completing the search. Took TB, TFTC and the puzzle.
Great puzzle. I had an idea what the code was but I wasn't close enough without the new hint. Solved this one last night and found it this morning. I'm definitely going to save the link provided in case I run into this type of puzzle again (which is sure to happen!). TFTC!
6934 Quick solve with the aid of the newly posted hint... nice camo, unfortunately its starting to come off the container. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Couldn't quite put this one in the too hard basket, figured I was on the right track but could never quite get the numbers to do what I needed them to do. Once the hint was updated everything fell into place quickly and the numbers revealed themselves quite nicely. Cool puzzle and a quick find between showers today. TFTC!
Final cache of the day, and as promised I did the 10-cache-happy-shuffle coming out the bushes after the find. Apologies to innocent bystanders.
One month is up, hint and related web page added.

The sacrifices I make in the name of fun!! I decided to put on my geo-cape and leap into the cache mobile out into the night...Managed to find after a short frantic search and yes a blank log for my troubles In fact it was even more fun than watching Project Runway in bed!! Thanks for the fun Geckohs!!
Glad to have finally knocked off one of the hard puzzles that have been bugging us for the past month. Funnily enough we were playing around with a possible solution at lunchtime today, but the tool we were using did not give the same answer as the one used to set the puzzle - would have thought they should have been consistent?? Didn't see the new hint for half an hour or so, and i-shoot had already logged a solve by then. Headed for GZ on the off-chance that he really had gone to bed, but when we opened the cache he had signed the log 20 minutes earlier. Thanks for a basically Hard puzzle (Still think you should have called it 'Hard Puzzle! Not Basic').
