We are doing a loop around from Adelaide around Lake Gairdner. Stopping at Woomera, Kingoonya, Mount Ives and the Gawler Ranges. Lots of dead roos on the road out here today. The road is in great condition though.

was nearly at our campsite for the night. what an contrasting area and very much enjoying the trip. tftcsl
An excellent spot for a break. I took the opportunity to find a cache and have morning tea. A beautiful location which bodes well for the rest of the day. TFTC
Solo camping trip over a Few days out this way. Travelled from home (Port Augusta) to Iron Knob then on to the dirt and on up past Lake Gairdner on to Kingoonya, across to Glendambo and back to Port Augusta, grabbing a few of the easy caches along the way. Country was dry as a Dead Dingoes Donger, Track was rough with sand drifts, gibbers and lots corrugations (needed some superglue to stick my rattled loose teeth back in!!) an awesome trip and thanks for the cache/s
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Team Waldron (F=15559 H=141) for the cache.

We are catching up with our logs from our 2019 trip with grumpi68, pest77 and others through the Gawler Ranges, Googs Track and along the Indian Pacific Railway.
This was one found on that trip.
We had a great time with our 4WDs and our houses on wheels. Although for the second part of the trip along Googs Track and the Indian Pacific Railway we left them in Ceduna and had to head back to pick them up before heading for home again.
We also loved our time in the GR Nat Park although the rain did make for interesting driving!
This was one of the finds which helped make the trip even more fun and we did deserve a break too
Thanks very much for the cache Team Waldron

The corrugations on the way to marlinga are way worse, the corrugations on the Googs track are as bad as here. Took a much needed break and found the cache. Quick find.
Day 8
Kingooya to Mount Ive Station
This trip saw me travel to Maralinga to do the tour of the nuclear test site then up the Googs track, past Lake Gairdner on to Mount Ive Station, then in to the Gawler Rangers and finally hiking up Mount Remarkable before heading home.

After eating a delicious meal of S.A. whiting and enjoying a chat around the campfire with some locals, we stayed the night at the Kingoonya Motel. Next day we set off to Mt Ive Station. Passing through Blue bush and scattered black faced sheep we found this cache at 10:10am. SL and replaced the brittle plastic container with a tin. TFTC Team Waldron.
Travelling from Kingoonya to Mt Ives today with Deltaducks, and collecting caches along way. First stop and easy find. Still blowing from the north. Lots of roos and emus along the roadside. Tftc
After staying at Kingoonya last night it was time to travel down to Mt Ive today for our last night on this trip. Roads not in bad condition, same cant be said for the cache. Lots of roos out here this time of year. TFTC
Found with e.gregory1 (previous finder) during an awesome trip that saw us traverse Goog's Track, visit some remote and desolate outback towns and tour the Gawler Ranges, camping out at Nalara Rock, Wymbring Rocks, Lake Gairdner and Lake Gilles CP. Thanks for the cache Team Waldron!
Found It!
A quick find here after AnyMules had a close encounter with a kangaroo down the road. Now on to Kingoonya!

Found on a trip north with Anymules, Laighside legends and Moneydork, no problems with this one, enjoyed stretching the legs as we travelled to Kingoonya by the stars trying to avoid the numerous kangaroos on the road

Found while heading back south to Lake Gairdner to camp. Thanks Team Waldron for the cache.
After spending in the night in the camper with rain pouring all night we also had to pack it away in the rain so after spending more time in the car, wet and bouncing up and down, it was nice to get out of the car and have a stretch while walking to the cache.
Found with no problem except it was muddy getting back in the car.

Obvious spot but a bit higher up than expected. At least it wont get flooded here.
Nice hide. Thank you for the fun from Sydney! We enjoyed finding this one (:
Our tour from Sydney to Ayers Rock took roughly two weeks. We can't reproduce which cache we've visited at what time any more. That's why we logged all of them at the same days, so don't be confused about that (:

nice quick and easy. If I'm not getting my caches mixed up, there was a curious little trinket in here I haven't seen before. Googled when I got home and found I could have taken and kept it oh well learnt something new
We found this cache on our Northern road trip, which was to celebrate my significant birthday. We saw some great places, met some wonderful people and slept through some 3 dog nights. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and finding caches made the trip more memorable – Thank you and ……Joy to the World!!
Funny how you predict where a cache should be, but of course it's not there. Once you find it you realize that was the only place it could be. Pa had actually started out of the car then realised that I had cache in hand. TFTC TNLN SL
A hit and run, they shoveled the road new, so had to park on the road to pick it up. Fortunately there is not much traffic.....

The road to here from Kingoonya had been lovely and smooth
Barely a corrugation to speak of [^]
I still thought that I deserved a break
Time for a quick stretch of the legs and a cache find
All good with the cache and it has my name in the logbook now !!
The rest of the drive south today was not as smooth and un-corrugated [:o]

This is a copy and paste log, as I found lots on the way here and back to Adelaide. Found while visiting Tarcoola to see where my Ex used to live at the Wilgena Pub in the late 60s. Made a detour especially for this one. Could not be so close and leave it, could I? TFTC.
I was part of the team that made an assault on this area after a terrific trip away to Goog's Track. What a great trip with fantastic remote experiences Apologies for the late logs - I'm more of a Cacher than a logger...Tx for the many cache owners along the way
A Great weekend away doing the Googs Track with good friends. Lots of different scenery and a lot of fun
We had a great time seeing some good ranges of different styles of caches
Thanks for putting these caches out for us to find Team Waldron

Just what was Waldron talking about? The track this time was as smooth as a baby's bum. They knew the GG were coming! Being in a bitsaremissing, I was prepared for the worst but I needn’t had worried.
Found with the fun and company of the Goog's Group on my getting reacquainted with Goog's Track trip. I'd last been to Goog's in 2003 so the revisit was well overdue. Dunes, corrugations, lizards, birds and beautiful country was the reward. Weather was mostly perfect, as were the campfire meals and star bounty at night, every night. GG members included M's Piggy (Babe), Tk2, Disk, Team Waldron, Gum-Ako, FireSafe, honeysucker and Freddo. Thanks for their amazing company under the many clear skies we had

Boxer found this cache whilst travelling with a group of Vietnan veteran mates, on what we called "Pedros toughen up tour."We travelled west to Ceduna and then north up Googs track, which was a real adventure on its own.We then headed east to Tarcoola and then south to Iron Knob, then home to York Peninsula. We slept under the stars, taking six days to do the trip. Finding caches along the way was a bonus and it gave us a break from driving. Thanks for the hide.
Found it lying out in the open. Put in a trinket and took one and placed it back under the bush where the impression was in the ground and secured it.
we did!
But we shouldn't have passed that fella towing the van.
we ran but he only just passed us back before we got going again, felt to guilty to pass him again so ate his dust to Kingoonya!!
