Found while visiting Port Lincoln, camping out overnight in Lincoln National Park during a trip to Eyre Peninsula for a few days. Thanks for the cache wheres_wolly_sharon!

One good thing that has come out of the Covid situation, is the need to holiday in your home state. With a week or so to spend away, we decided to head to Port Lincoln - a place we had not visited before. Our first day in the area was spent exploring Lincoln National Park, and what better way to find all the interesting spots, than to find the caches which had been hidden.
There were so many possible hiding spots and the cache was definitely not found in the first place we looked. It was eventually found and the log signed. Thanks for showing us many interesting places.

Well hidden but spot on for coordinates. Found 2 you soldiers near it which wouldn't fit the Geocache. We'll place them in Another one. Thanks
Well I joined the Wagga Wagga nice sunny beach with the tide out.A quick easy find at the right location, which is a Rarity from my phone.
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
So I set the van up at Surfleet Campground that is in Lincoln National Park yesterday and today is a new day so it was time to explore the South West area and the weather is finally looking good.
Made it back to the entrance of the NP to start from there and headed back in and it is very easy to park without the van on.
Since it was such a beautiful day and getting very warm I put off the hike till tomorrow morning but it is a shame there is no cache up there anymore but I did foolishly walk from coveman 2 to coveman 3 and this next one in the heat luckily I remembered to take some water.
This has been the nicest day of my trip and it is good to get some sun and not the wind and rain.
A beautiful part of the word along here and the coastline and beaches are spectacular the water is so blue and the sand so white.
There were 3 campers enjoying the solitude of the camp ground and I said hello as I past.
I soon located this one and added my name to the log and now the walk back to Stamford Hill carpark.
Thanks Wheres wolly TFTC.

Came over the hill along the walking trail, not realising there was a much shorter way at the time .
This place was packed with campers [8)], so were happy to be able to follow the trail markers through this area .
TNLNSL.

Staying in our caravan in the local area and drove out to get a few smileys. Lovely area to visit. TFTC
We walked from Cove Man 2 to this cache and it was a brisk half an hour walk back to Surfleet Cove. This cache was protected by a Viking and was in good order tftc
Camping in the area and took a ticky tour around to find the geocaches within a couple of km from us... A reasonably easy find thanks to the cache cover TFTC left a Twinkle Star
Walked about 2.5km from Surffleet campground to find this one and its neighbour. Good spot and took us somewhere we would have never been if not for geocaching so thanks for that!
Spending the weekend in the Lincoln National Park with Redmond. Sitting on spading cove beach out the wind. TFTC
Found It!
A nice beach. I had it all to myself today. I drove most of the way in here and then soon found the cache!

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Camped up on the hill behind Port Lincoln, today, it was time to explore the Lincoln National Park.
We singled out 14 caches, and found all fourteen of them. all in good order, except for one - details on that page.
Quick find after lunch. Nice beach to take a walk along. Thankfully the tide was low enough to be comfortable. Thanks Wheres wolly

Day 3.
finally made it to Port Lincoln. Stopped in there for one cache then headed to the information center to book my national park pass and over night stay in this park. Spent all that day and some of the next getting all the caches in the national park before heading off to memory cove for the next day. It was windy but nice weather for my stay in the park. I drove to the cache. Took some photos. quick find at gz.

Today was my one full day in Port Lincoln, so I headed to the Lincoln National Park. I've been caching here before (in 2007) and enjoyed the scenery so it was a good chance to revisit and pickup a whole lot of new caches. I looked under a few bushes before heading out back for a quick find.
My thanks to wheres wolly for the cache.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 it has been a while since in SA but enjoying this visit greatly.
Visiting Port Lincoln we decided to spend the day in Lincoln NP exploring. All was going well until Mr Felix took a tumble and hurt his back, so we aborted our mission and will have to return another time.

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Hi there wheres wolly.
We found your cache **"LONG BEACH"** at 10:38:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 15740).
We enjoyed our trip around the Lincoln National Park today. (We came prepared with some cache maintenance gear, but it wasn't needed very often).
On our journey we found a wide variety of container types. We ended up finding 16 caches with 0 DNF's today. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Cache needed some maintenance, so we made the repair and restored the cache.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Spending the weekend down Lincoln and spending a few days in the National Park. This was the start of our second day out the Park - intending on heading out to Cape Donnington and see the sights along the northern and eastern coast. Another cracker beach to visit. Glad there was no one coming the other way on the track in. TFTC
Day Eleven of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747. Today we wandered around the Lincoln National Park, checking out all the little camping spots, beaches, and of course, caches.
The walk from Surfleet completed, we walked part of the long beach to this cache. A lovely place in the late afternoon.
The campground was parked but GZ was clear of muggle city.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 7806. Robmc and I are spending the day in the National Park today and we intend to find some caches, go for a bike ride and a return walk to Spalding Cove.
Another surprise. An extremely large tin container with a whole army inside it seems. Someone had attempted to keep the log dry by putting it in a tobacco plastic bag. Removed that and put the log in a new plastic bag and back inside the container within the container. Needs a maintenance check.
Thanks wheres wolly

No problem finding this cache. Lovely area and good 4x4 drive in.
Cache was soaked but the log was just slightly damp. Water ran out of the main container.

First cache for the new day, after a peaceful night out at Engine Point [:o]
Go figure !!
And following the bumpy ride through the scrub, I abandoned geomobile and set off on foot
What a lovely beach for a morning stroll [^]
Nobody else around too !!
I reached the hiding place and poked around through the piles of piled up seaweed [:o]
No luck after 15 minutes, so I popped back to the geomobile to retrieve a tool of the trade
If this cache was hiding here, then my secret weapon was going to find it
And a few minutes after returning to GZ, sure 'nuff !!
"Clunk" !!
There was the cache on the end of my magic poking wand
In pretty good nick too.
Surprising given the environment it is hidden in [:o]

Walked at first, but took the cache back to the car to get a tool to open it. Drove back to replace the cache.
Beautiful day, very low tide

Were lucky enough to see a couple of whales from the beach thanks for the experience
Found it but One cache in this general location (Cove man 3 was first) would have been sufficent to bring cachers here...
If this was at the other end of the beach maybe it could be justified...

Walked along the beach to this one but by the look of the vehicle tracks the sand was hard enough to have driven.

Went for a hike from Surfleet Cove to our camp at Richardsons Shack site and stopped for this cache on the way.
We are staying in the Lincoln National Park for a week doing some 4WDing and caching today on the 'rest day'.
Quick grab on our morning run - went for a drive on the beach for this one. TFTC.

Found at #.20pm GAFF3. We were walking around at high tide, so in the end we had to go "inland" to keep our shoes dry.
A very tricky hide that was well covered, however the co-ords were spot on.
Thanks wheres wolly.
