Caching with Bubbles8 trying to beat the weather thats on the way. Always wondered what the name of that hill was, we always called it the jelly baby hill, thats what we thought it looked like from Highway.
The cache has completely deteriorated. The log is staying surprisingly dry with the clever use of some discarded tiles. But urgent attention is required here. TFTC!
I'm on a cosmic quest which saw me heading towards Whyalla today with martini.989. Having completed the nearby trail, this was the next stop. A lovely view of Mount Young with sheep grazing the highest points. TFTC!
Out caching with Tessa_Jade & had just finished the nearby trail, so it was time to grab this one while we were nearby. A beautiful view of Mount Young. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC!
A great view and a quick cache to finish my adventurous day with.No yaks but a handful of finds, excellent work and a very fun day.TFTC jacob350!Keep smiling
Cache has seen better days here sadly, so much rubbish aroundWith a few days off I headed over to the northern Eyre peninsula for a 2 night stay in Whyalla, my main aim for the few days was the FITG and the FTF trail plus finding a few caches here and there along the way. Just under 300 caches found for the trip. Thanks for the cache
TFTC jacob350! your cache Mount Young View that we found today. Our second day on Whyalla, camped at the Football club. The cache container is badly damaged and brittle. Have placed it upside down to offer some rain protection.
Out caching while staying at the Footy Club. Signed wet log, placed container upside down and put a tile on it. It should dry out. Thanks jacob350! for this adventure tftc
Found while out and about. A weekend in Whyalla with Hellyonfire enjoying the weather and the caching. TFTC
Meeting my geosister H423L in Whyalla to do some caching Lid completely disintegrated when opening Had nothing to replace with sorry TFTC

Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Eight: Port Augusta and Whyalla
Weather: still sensational!
This one was tacked on to the end of the Christmas series. There is a deconstructed SPOR (well that’s what it looked like to me) on one side of the tree, and I thought this one might have been muggled. However gorjak have been ahead of me all the way on this road, and their log spurred me on to make the find. Not a pleasant GZ, but I’ve been to worse. I bet there is a fantastic view from the top of that hill.
Thanks for the cache Jacob350!

Off to Rutherglen for the meha. Fifth trip over the Nullarbor in the last 12 months.
No time for the whole series. Quick grab for this one.

Found while passing through Whyalla during a trip to Eyre Peninsula for a few days. Thanks for the cache jacob350!
Came down here as the clouds were amazing and picked these up on the way. Nice to get a local one. TFTC SL Container is cracked and needs replacing.
After wandering around W.A. for the last 3 months, caravanning, caching and hunting wildflowers we are slowly making our way home to Adelaide. Stayed here in Whyalla for a few days as way too windy to travel. So while waiting for the wind to ease we cached. As the container needs replacing and we have none we put it in a plastic bag. T.F.T.C.
Continuing our celebrations of birthday week for the cats, Purrfect Di and Mattycat decided to go do some more birthday caching and see what we can unwrap in the way of iron triangle log books. Yours was one we found along the way, with the help of Jack. Quite a fun packed day finding all sorts.
An interesting view of the mount. And the folks with the home on the hill would have an even better view!! Nice one. Keep on caching
Sincere thanks to jacob350! for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo game map
[:o)]
I must note that we certainly do appreciate the way those mint tins age to blend in with the rusty outback earth!!! Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, plastic cracks and mint tins rust!
---
Searching around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
[^] [:o)] [^]
A great caching start to Twenty Twenty Too

After finishing the day on the fire crew at the Drag Strip it was time for some geocaching TFTC
This was a really quick and easy find but as previously noted the lid is broken and the container need to be replaced. Thanks to jacob350! for placing this cache.
A mini power trail where the containers were all easy to find, but they were not in very condition at all. TFTC.
Sadly, it's time for us to travel towards home after enjoying a week in Alice - but not without finding caches and enjoying the sights

Lid is broken, cache full of water, needs new log and container guys ️ but awesome view
So, it was the final day of the drive back to Adelaide and, having stayed in Whyalla overnight, the decision was made to spend the morning caching around Whyalla before making the drive back to Adelaide, finding caches along the way. It was a good start to the day as the finds were made quite quickly. Along with finding the caches at a quick pace, there were also quality hides in good areas. Once it got to about one in the afternoon, the decision was made to begin the journey back to Adelaide. As we drove, the occasional stop was made at a parking bay along the side of the road to find a cache, it almost seemed like there was a cache in every one. Finally, after a long day, we finally returned home and, unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

This weekend, I headed to Whyalla to catch up with a few other Geocachers and attempt some of the trails there. On Saturday, we targeted the FTF power trail from Whyalla to Iron Knob, and then spent the evening and the subsequent morning driving some of Whyalla's back tracks. On Sunday, I visited Cowleds Landing and back north, only to get severely bogged in one of Whyalla's clay pans. I then returned home via the August series.
Today, we started the day at a meet/greet breakfast event, and then I headed out with hevwalker and scramping for a few more geocaches south-west of Whyalla along the back tracks and main road, followed by the December trail series. I then continued south visiting Cowleds Landing and the proclaimed nudist beach. I next found *Potty Time*, only to realise that I had driven on the nearby clay pans, and then sank into the soft clay below on my way out. Eventually I had help in getting out, and finished my remaining time in Whyalla completing the pipeline August series, and calling into Whyalla Conservation Park for a few high favourite caches. I then made the long journey back to Adelaide stopping at a few miscellaneous geocaches along the way.
A nice view of Mount Young behind us. We circled the respective bush, and found on our last overlap (we should have gone from the other direction to make the quicker find). The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks jacob350! for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

After a great day and evening of caching with hevwalker and Davidwazza yesterday where we did the FFT powertrail, visited Iron Knob, back tracks and miscellaneous caches of Whyalla we started off the day with an early breakfast event put on by Davidwazza. We all approached this cache... walking round the bush searching for it ....of course we took the long way round but soon had it found, signed and replaced. Lovely view of Mount Young behind us. TFTC.
In Whyalla with scramping for a few days on a mini holiday break...
We went out caching this morning before the weather got too hot and windy...
Davidwazza jumped in my car as we headed out of town...
We got as far as Mount Young before the weather got unbearable...
Headed back to the cabin for a bit of R & R and to cool down before going back out when it cools down...

Found It!
A quick find here while passing by. An impressive mountain, although rather barren to, it needs some trees!

Emptied the water out of this one...
Spending a few days in Whyalla and found a few cache, or 300!
Had managed to solve all the puzzles before coming over too.
Of the nearly 300 found on the trip over and back from Adelaide, 95% were found within 50km of Whyalla Central, with approx a dozen dnfs also. Amongst all the finds was my 17000th find.
Also managed a lot of 'unloved' finds too.
What is it with Whyalla and mint tins? lol
TNLNSL
Thanks

since it hasn't been found in 2 years i replaced the cache for the co. besides bush not at the back where the rubbish is.
Like the last couple of visitors, no luck for the three of us with this one today.
Alice trip 2017. Day 6. With Sol de Lune and LuckL10n we spent today caching around Whyalla during a bit of s detour on our drive to Alice Springs. Heaps of caches with lots of DNFs we skipped but me managed a good day of caching.
Thanks.

Thanks.

An early morning cache run on a HOT December morning. Went out with the Geo-daughters.
I was hoping the cache was not under a pile of dumped tiles - did not have a container in the car to clean them up. Luckily the cache was in the next bush. Took a path tag.

found on the way to a party in port lincoln. an easy find right where it should be
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache jacob350!.
Found by Mary & David at 1058. Did a few caches around Whyalla this morning, before caching our way south to Cowell. Stunning landscape with the saltbush, sparse trees and red earth. Easy find. Our thanks to jacob350!.
Out early this morning to get a few more caches. Good to find the cache. Thanks to jacob350!.
Found with Team Waldron and The White Dog Gang as part of a three day jaunt over to the west coast. This cache added to around 200 caches found in a range of bush and city settings in Whyalla, Port Augusta, Iron Baron and lots of other places. TFTC.
Doing a Whyalla & surrounding area run with Team Waldron & Trail 06.
This was one of the many we found.
Container was taped up by previous finder cause it had no lid, so we replaced it with a new one for others to find.
Cool spot, thanks for bringing us here

Great view of the mountain. Thanks for the cache. I took a photo cause someone has taped up the lidless end and I didn't want to untape it.
A bit of caching while travelling.. Thanks for the nice cache! with LuiGas and heli13
Thanks for your cache jacob350. Always like a cache with a view. This cache does need maintenance, the container really needs replacing, so too the log. Thanks again for the cache.
