A photo here is an absolute must for anyone my age. And the cache is a bonus. Tftc
Dropped by here to get the cache and a few photos. In Broken Hill for the weekend for parkrun with Sandyofthesea and CourtneyRose_. We managed to find a few caches too.The Crapper Crew, I found Diesel and Dust today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
We were out this way to find another cache and couldn't resist this one as well. A quick find, TFTC
I walked past here during my walk around Australia, actually turned off here and took the back road to the 'Boob'.Listened to a lot of the Oils while walking 17,200kms. Had no idea when I walked past it was from Diesel and Dust. Took a photo of another similar old cottage which reminded me of it, on the same day I turned off the road right next to the actual one!Have been wanting to get back all these years.TFTC!
Great place to stop for an iconic photograph! Relatively easy find! As a Powderworker, very happy to add this to the list!TFTC
Great spot. Photo sent to Brother in law as he is a fan! Thanks for bringing us here!
How could I not know this house at my age! Thanks for putting a cache here. I took the obligatory photos for mates.
frmen1 and I were in Burra last year but were too tired to make what we thought would be a long drive out to the house. We happened to be driving past on our way to Peterborough and did a u-turn for frmen1 to get some photos for his mates. Checked the geocaching app and a cache appeared! Reliving the 80s and a geocache...bonus! TFTC
Thanks for the cache was a little challenging at first but we found it in the end
Im a massive Oils fan and am currently heading off on tour with my own band. The first time I got a photo here wouldve been in the early 90s heading to Adelaide for Midnight Oils Blue Sky Mine tour. Hadnt realised there was a cache previously so had to get it this time. TFTC
Picked up Detofinbars and headed to Burra for lunch and beers with a mate that I played cricket against over 30 years ago. He's currently on holidays visiting his parents and relatives. Picked him up and he joined us and learned about geocaching, as well as a magnificent, guided tour and history of the Burra area after a great lunch. With little or no internet, we still manage to get a few caches around the town. We also got a few on the way there and home. Overall a fantastic day was had. TFTCQuick find.
Found on our way home from Flinders Ranges via the Great Leap Forward. Not 10 minutes down the road did Beds are Burning come on the radio! This house is the most posted pic on some FB groups.Tftc
TFTC The Crapper Crew your cache Diesel and Dust that we found today. After spending the last 3 weeks in and around Shepparton we are now on the move , heading to Yorke Peninsula. This is day 3 of or travel time. After setting up camp at the Burra Showgrounds we ventured out as the afternoon sun started to cool a little. Our target was the multi caches at Booborowie and any others we may come across.Find Count: 17515
Was carried away by the flies before locating this cache in very warm conditions amongst the long grasses. Great to swing by this iconic site though.
After a looooong search and going around in circles with the GPS, a bit of bush trekking through the weeds I found it. There was an easier way, wasnt there? Thanks for the musical history at this cache stop.
This was a must visit destination on Chookster's list, so we popped by on our way out of Burra after a short holiday. Quick find, check. Obligatory photos, check.TFTC The Crapper Crew
Oh yeah! Been wanting to come here for ages that it was quite a Dreamworld for me once here! This was an amazing location made iconic by the photo of the abandoned building for Midnight Oil. Was pretty sure that the Beds Are Burning here at one time that the farmer had to Put Down That Weapon to go put it out. So picturesque and very opposite to an Arctic World but more relatable to Warakurna country. Lots and lots of photos here and a few selfies. The cache was quickly located and I didn't even have to Sell My Soul. The only worry was the possibility of snakes that may bite and give me a Dead Heart. Luck we hadn't seen any today. TNLN. Cheers.
The three of us were heading home from a few days in Broken Hill. We stopped here for a rest break and a cache.
Mrs Tardis took a photo of the iconic building, while Mr & Teen Tardis found the cache.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache The Crapper Crew.

Nice and easy quick find nice to stretch our legs on our way back from broken Hill tftc
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. Left log in a small container. Thanks for the hide.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, we are exploring beautiful Burra and some of the surrounding countryside. We left a container for the log. TFTC.
Couldn't visit Burra without coming to photograph this grand old building. Tftc
I have replaced the log sheet and placed the cache in its spot, so hopefully all good.
After heaps of shots with not a sole around the afternoon sun shone and it was worth the time to stop and wait.
My thanks to The Crapper Crew for the cache,
Regards

Lucky find here.. hadn't read the recent logs and found after a short search. Signed 10k as log is getting full. Tftc
Sadly a DNF for us. With such low difficulty and terrain rating we are
not too sure that it is there any more.
Thanks anyway

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to The Crapper Crew for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Came to see the building. Saw several consecutive DNFs and decided not to have a look. Long grass, too many DNFs. We'll look another day.
We came - we saw - we didn't find - but then it was hot and the grass was long and we didn't have the right grab TOTT!!
We have been travelling around this great country, calling into see many different places,
now is a quick chance on the computer to catch up with logs and to put some smileys on the map for where we have been.
Thanks to all the COs for some great finds.

Awesome - great to call in while there is green crops.
It’s usually dry dusty and barren when we have been passing through on previous trips
If only these walls could talk and tell us the history.
It's great to be able to travel and see so many quaint little country towns.
As we meander down towards GeoVenture 2020 (in 2021), Millicent, we stopped to put a smiley here.
It's wonderful to explore SA through the eyes of a Geocacher,
especially when it takes us to such interesting places.
We found your cache and with signing duties done and dusted,
we replace the cache as found.
Thanks for sharing this interesting historical location.

# 7 for Mr O's birthday on our road trip back to NT after buying our new camper. Mrs O thought of booking a room for a special night out. Seems it is now private property and longer a place to have a sleepover. TFTC
Driven past before but never knew how iconic this location is , I would loved to have left a rare Dirtbag coin here but it wouldn’t fit Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ️

At last I've been able to drive this road and stop to look for the cache. Gotcha! I bet I'm not the only driver who has the introduction to 'Beds are Burning' playing through their heads as they drive along this road. All good at the cache. Thanks for bringing me here today. SL with my initials. TN. LN. Returned to hidey hole. Just as a matter of interest, the cache container might have changed since it was placed here. It's now a micro rather than a small. Those players looking for a good cache to place a TB might be disappointed. Happy caching!
Well it has been a year in planning.
Road trip from Melbourne to Darwin.
Guys we must go thru Burra.
What for?
Do you need to ask.
Then the iconique moment it surfaced.
Great site and great spot.
Cache was a quick find.
Fav because I love the aspect of an Oils aspect.

Road widening work and trucks parked near where I expected GZ to be. I'll pass on this one today. I hope the cache is still there!
Day 11 of camphosting at Beelu National Park Campsite. Thia time megawat60 and I returned to Chidlow to do this series. My turn, enjoying this very much. TFTC
When I was told about this special place I had to stop..... not just to find the cache but also to see a little bit of our music history. I love old ruins and it just adds special touch when you know a bit about it's history. TFTC
Some would say this has happened because I left my vehicle idling!
Thanks again SnappyTomCats for a fantastic weekend Heading home from my 1st event and finding a few caches on the way.
