We stayed overnight at the upper level campsite. Had a lovely walk this morning and hunted for the cache. We found the remains of the cache tucked away by FelixII at the end of May and that was still safe and sound, not a big risk for flooding here I would say. We have replaced the container which contains now a log, pencil and a pathtag. Please replace as found. Funny that FelixII and our self are geocaching buddies, both from WA. TFTC Sneaky Seeker and you deserve a favorite point here!
We had been told this one was missing and indeed it does not seem to be there. We can see where it should be but according to a previous log it is gone. That log was before the heavy rains and it could have been affected by rising water. This one needs attention especially as it is located at a beaugiful spot.
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we had a very late start to the day but finally at lunchtime we made a move of the caravan to Laura. On arrival camp was set and Mr Felix then set out ot explore whilst Mrs Felix stayed home to cook soup! [B)]
This was one of the caches he found whilst out alone. A great spot which we hope to visit to camp at. Thanks for sharing this spot with fellow geocachers, this is what we love about geocaching.
A fave point from us.

Sadly this cache has been in serious need of repair since 2012, but nobody has logged a needs maintenance, just in their found it logs.
There is no longer a container at GZ just 3 snaplock bags layered up.
Hopefully the CO or another finder can bring out a replacement container as this is certainly an area that should have a cache.

Trekked up to the Appila Crossing cache without success, and then caught this one on the way back. We thought we would do an early, before breakfast trek try to beat the heat and hopefully get less flies! Thank goodness for fly nets! I too had read that the container was missing and planned to take a replacement- sorry I forgot that part of the journey preparation! Cache OK, still dry and intact. Left a couple of bronze charms. TFTC
What a lovely spot with lots of water and greenery at the moment. With no phone access I didn't realise before I found the cache that the container was missing and I'd brought spares with me for just such an occurrence, just not WITH ME!
Mrs DISK had heard about this place from a friend recently, so we incorporated it into our itinerary today .
What a great spot ! Had the place to ourselves and explored everywhere . Wouldn't bring a van down the hill, but there's plenty of space up top near the disabled toilet.
Loved the rock formations and the clear water: wow - watch out for the rocks just under the surface if going for a swim [xx(]!
Found the cache easily enough, but there's no container and everything is triple sealed in bags .
TNLNSL.
Thanks for showing us this neat spot Sneaky Seeker [^].

Had planned on doing the other cache here but not sure the geocommodore would have made it down the road at all let alone to the cache.. Next time... There was a group of Motorhomes camped up the top but nowhere near us so we just went on our way and found the cache.. Dazz told me not to trip over the barbed wire which was good but he forgot to mention there was two lots... Nearly took the dive but just managed to keep my feet..
Lovely area with facilities which was surprising and wouldn't hesitate stopping here and investigating this area more.. Took some lovely pictures while here
Thanks Sneaky Seeker for the cache

What a great area well worth the visit. We couldn't drive to the cache down the road a bit as track was covered in water and didn't want to risk getting bogged so only managed this one today but that gives us an excuse to come back in the future.

A discussion with a work colleague who grew up in this area lead to us including this spot in our ramble around the mid north - although Mr Wibble's parents already knew of this place. Quite a bit of water here even after the dry summer, although lots of scum on the water. A group was camping here and catching yabbies, they'd found a few in the latest pull up of nets when we were here.
Found the cache, and yes, it definitely needs a new container - we would have replaced it, but we took out all our spare containers from the car for this trip to make room for the in-laws and their luggage!
In it's protected spot and triple bagging it's doing all right at the moment though, everything is still dry.

Found with junior geodudes on a trip to pick up the eldest who was camping here. Found the cache laying out in the open so I'm hoping I put it back in the right place.
Wow...I use to live a few miles from here.
I have never ever seen it look like this before.
There is not much water, where has it all the
water gone..
I walked across the rocks to get to the cache..
never been able to that before.
Geohubby and my name is still carved in the rocks
since 1973.
Lets hope for a nice wet winter to get some water back
in the springs to make it beautiful again.
Left a smiley.

Great spot for lunch. Took me a while to grab the cache, unfortunately it's lost its lid so I did some plastic bag repair but it really needs a new container.
Thanks for the cache Sneaky Seeker.

Following a 4WD Club event at Melrose and driving out via the Bridle Track, it was time to head inland and grab a few caches on the way home.
What a great spot. TFTC.

No luck for me either today.
I could see where someone else had been searching recently and it turns out it was the Kelly Gang who had beaten me for FTF on the other close by cache.
I will be back.

Found after a short search, after being pounded by marble sized hail back at camp, instantly turning the water brown from the runoff..TFTC
With a mate and myself we pulled in here on our way to the Horseshoe range for a relaxing motorcycle weekend.Great location just to many 4x4 tourists, tftc
I remember finding a virgin log book on the previous cache at this splendid location. It was a pleasure to return. Lots of water in the creek.
We have camped here once before, so excited to see there is a cache here (now we have discovered this fun activity). Passed the wild bee hive and the nesting galah (check out the hollow in the tree, it pops in and out if you look from afar). Almost came to grief on the edge of the rock face and am now sporting some bruises and grazes. Found the cache in a nice hide further around the corner (no need to climb the cliff!), nice hide. TN left bear magnet and Lucky Traveling geocoin. Thanks Sneaky Seeker.
Maybe we shouldn't have attempted this one after the recent rains?!?!?! You live and learn.
It's been raining today and the creek was flowing fast and high enough that we deided to not attempt the creek crossing as we had to stay dry, would have been easy enough for us adults but 3yo wanted to cross as well. Its a beautiful place and has been added to our to find in the future list.

Found by Mr Wombat Stew after getting his socks wet crossing the creek. A rather cold and windy afternoon. TFTC TNLN
A quick revisited and found the cache, picked up Nurses Have Heart Geocoin, will move it on, What a great location, parrots, and a bee's hive sighted. snapped a few photo's too. A sneaky Hide, TFTCSL cheers from diggers09. [^]
Been here lots of times having a BBQ. The cache was not where I thought it would be. Good one.
A great spot, enjoyed a short exploration of the area, found after a short hunt Left a GC tftc
What a great area, lots of water, searched tree's, rocks, ground, only to walk away disapointed, with a DNF, a clue might have helped, such a long way for a DNF.
maybe another time.
maybe another time.
Bronze for me! Had a bit of difficulty getting the GPSr to settle, but located it after a short search. This is a great little area that, had it not been for this cache, I don't think I would ever have discovered. Thanks Sneaky Seeker for the cache and for bringing me here.
Silver to matmob. This is a great spot - Mr matmob's grandmother remembered coming here as a child - she even identified some of the 'graffiti' carved into the rocks as being done by some of her peers! We should remind graffiti artists to always date their work - it becomes history! Nice little hidey hole in a lovely location. Thanks
I once had a cache here - An Appila Day http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=efec99b7-8ae9-4540-a38d-d459f0906c8e
I'd always thought the spot deserved a cache, so I'm glad it's got one again.
I hope it is placed above the (very rare) high water mark. I thought mine was, but it got washed away in a flood.
