Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Based in Peterborough, we are exploring some of the surrounding areas. While the boys were peddling along the Mid North Channel, we girls were picking up a few caches of our own TFTC.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. Basing ourselves in Peterborough for a few days to grab finds in the surrounds. The Geo-men decided on a biking day so they were dropped off while Mrs ILT and I cached around the area. Thanks Tk2
Day 3 of my short Geocaching weekend. Today I left White Cliffs Reserve zigzagging along the way finding what caches I had not found and ended up stopping in Yongala for the night.
One thing I never would have seen if not for a Geocache nearby.

Been driving past this pipe in various places along its length (including this very road) my whole life and never knew it was here. Wouldn't've ever guessed it was in this spot.
Away for a couple of days with TheWhiteDogGang.
We stayed at the free camping in Blyth and cached around Blyth, Brinkworth, Yacka, Spalding, Clare, Stanley Flat and surrounds.
Most caches found were in good order.
A quick find.

A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]
We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops.
A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited.
Thanks for the cache ClareValleyCaching.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC
The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.
Thanks to Tk2 from mogni

The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.
Fantastic view of the rolling hills and the two pipelines rolling in and out between them. Heard a curious story from a local in the Spalding pub later in the evening, and how this plaque was initially welded deliberately on the wrong side of the pipe in response to a dispute! Not sure of the accuracy of the information but thought it was interesting nonetheless.
Good view and easy find. Took photo of a deer after it crossed road in front of us in between caches. TFTC
After hubby had finished his walk and I picked him up we headed off to do a few more of the local caches. We will be leaving Spalding tomorrow so we wanted to find as many of the local caches that we could. We replaced the cache container for Playford Plaque, but other than this one all were OK and the log books were OK. SL TFTC
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

Tftc! An amazing view to the right of us and pipelines to the left. This was a quick stop, grab and sign cache with enough time to even read the plaque.
Driving from Coober Pedy to Clare and we must be crazy to do a gravel road diversion to find a cache.
Well, this cache was found to give me 365 of 366 days hidden, so it was well worth it.
Lots of dead snails at GZ too.

I have been to the Hume factory a couple of times. It still looks like something from the 40's. The cache was found in the first place we looked. No need for a GPSr here. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

2 years and 3 months without being found, a simple find at an interesting plaque and a piece of SA's history
Hi there Tk2.
We found your cache **"Playford Plaque"** at 12:10:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16099).
Our trek today took us from Gladstone to Spalding and back via the "next closest" route as determined by our GPS. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 15 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

#6404 - 09:45; Day 6 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and now albida33 who joined us this morning for the rest of the trip, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. After a second night in Burra, we were now caching our way to Port Augusta via Spalding, Gulnare, Crystal Brook, Port Pirie, Napperby, Weeroona Island and Baroota. After grabbing a couple of caches in Spalding, we headed for s short southern detour then back through the town before we headed down a side road to collect this cache at a point of interest. I've collected caches along a few pipelines like this in South Australia and I'm sure there are more to come, including along another section of this one closer to Whyalla. TFTC Tk2
Alice trip 2017. Day 4. Today was the day I caught up with Sol de Lune and LuckL10n in Burra. We joined forces for the journey to Alice Springs. Today was a short trip to Pt Augusta collecting plenty of caches along the way.

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

Me day started at Morgan, and I drove past the Morgan pumping station !!
And I seem to have been following the hot and cold water pipes all day
What an interesting place here.
A simple plaque, welded to the pipe, with an important bit of SA history upon.
A tribute to one of the most important infrastructure projects the state has undertaken
The scenery along the drive isn't bad either [^]

Out for the weekend to attend the Jamestown Airshow, this is one of the little gem locations we visited along the way.
We have dealt a few favourites out along the way. Hopefully this is one of those Gems. As you can see this is a generic log and I'm sorry for that but the WiFi service here is not great so I need to be quick.
Thanks for the journey to this cache in our wonderful State.

Dad and myself we off to the Jamestown air show tomorrow so we decided to head up a day earlier and explore the surrounding areas and show him a few spots I had already visited. 400km plus which is a long why when the average speed is only 49km/h and very tired eyes we had a wonderful adventure seeing some great sights, kangaroos that decided to follow next to us for ages, Why follow us when you can bounce in the opposite direction.. But lucky we didn't see one snake
Sorry for generic log, it was hard to remember all the caches, I will write custom messages on the ones that require them
What an interesting place to put a plaque.. why here?

One of those if not for geocaching monuments that you might miss normally. Nice one on the back roads, SL TFTC Tk2!
Had some spare time before the netball prelim started so we went for a little drive on the backroads around Spalding.
This was the first stop, an unusual spot to be placing a plaque that will hardly be seen, save for geocachers now.

Staying at Spalding while walking the Heysen Trail. Nice place for a cache thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
Life's too short apparently, so I embarked on a cache run from Crystal Brook to Spalding. 3 roos, 5 rabbits, 24 finds and quite a few DNF's (though that's expected on an unexpected warm night in the country in December). I could see where this cache was hidden, but something was moving in the long grass. I didn't take my chances but instead ran back to the Lancer.
not very often you find something like this out in the backblocks. nice drive and an easy find. TSLS TFTC
We are travelling a lot near the Broughton River today and will eventually meet the Hutt River the way we are going. Thanks
