Staying next 2 nights in Wallaroo but taking the long way there. Haven't cached this area before.
Country caching day. TftCLove the history. I know some of those names. I noticed only female teachers taught here, would have married farmers and had to stop teaching.
Found it, be careful of the massive ants! And the bushes scratching you.. but was a fun find for the kids..
So many schools dotted around thd place. Some famous YP / mid north names here. TFTC Tk2.
Today I headed to the YP for caching. Today I on the main part hated my hobby. It’s weird as I have been doing this hobby for almost 10 years and generally it makes me feel good to be alive. Sadly not today.
My phone was a pain in the ass not sure why but almost every find had me around 10m away from where the actual cache was. I was stuffed with the caches with no hints of which there were many.
I over heated, the flies were insane, so many caches were in or behind prickle bushes or trees with low branches, covered in scratches. I have an inordinate amount of dnfs. My list of whinging goes on and on.
I am grateful really to all the people who made the effort to hide and maintain a cache for me to find. I do appreciate it even if I don’t sound too grateful.
Anyway I got 52 for the day so have to be ‘happy’ with that!
Not sure how hint had any correlation to find, think my find was a fluke. TFTC nice sign here

Another find as we clear up some stragglers around the Kadina/Wallaroo surrounds. Thanks Tk2
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group had us heading back once again to the upper Yorke Peninsular in search of solved puzzles and anything else we came across. Today it was myself, Blackadders and Astro meeting S.A. Sewer rats at the Rat's
nest By the end of the day we had traveled over 500 km's in search of pieces of Tupperware in the woods.
Took a little while for me to find whilst the other three sitting in the car had given me a bogus hint. After searching the obvious spot where they thought it was I went back, got the GPS and went to another spot where I found the cache. Were they just playing me or are they going senile. It isn't even four years since they found it. [B)]

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Found during a caching foray that included Cunliffe, Kadina, Wallaroo and a circuit out towards Bute while staying at Moonta Bay for a few days. Watch out for the inch ants! Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Today I felt like going out for some New Years Day caching. Specifically the roads between Kadina and Bute.
I love these old school caches, being a history nerd it's in my blood.
After a short search around I made the find.
Thanks for bringing me here and contributing to Geocaching.

When we arrived at this location, we went to the obvious place for a cache of this size. No joy. Then we followed the GPS and with very accurate coordinates, the cache was located very quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Tk2 for the cache.
On a warm days riding with Desertfox41 and 2 younger riders/ helpers , had a long day, did 240 odd ks . TNLNSL Thanks
A day trip was planned with Trigger_Fish, AnyMules & Davidwazza to visit the Sad Fisher and some other caches scattered around the top of Yorke Peninsula and the Copper Coast...
It was a full day...getting picked up at 10:00am and arriving back at 11:50pm...
A search soon had the cache in hand...
Thanks Tk2

Today, the objective was *The Sad Fisher* series on the top of Yorke Peninsula. I first had a few hours to do some solo geocaching, visiting Port Arthur, Clinton and a few other points of interest on the top of Yorke Peninsula's hills. I then caught up with AnyMules, Trigger_Fish, and hevwalker, and we then spent the next 3.5 hr trying to keep motivation whilst power trailling the Sad Fisher. We then headed to Kadina for a late lunch and a few geocache visits, and then on to Wallaroo and nearby North Beach. As it got dark, we headed south-west for some 4WD along some beach tracks, and then back towards Kadina for a fast dinner. Willamulka was our final destination of the day (at least while I was with the group), before I returned back to my car at Kulpara, and made the late night drive home.
This was a geocache that Trigger_Fish hadn't found, so we made sure to detour past this location. It had us hunting around for a good 5-10 min around the soggy tree and soursops. Eventually from another angle, I saw something suspicious, and sure enough, it had contained the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Tk2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Evil_1, Sean.75, kenbryl and I are slowly making our way across to Wallaroo. Another nice quick find by evil_1. Tftc
Out with an Adder, on Wednesday foray.
We read the sign.
Then went in search of the cache.
Mrs Rat caught her hand on some bark.
Back to the geomobile for some First Aid.
As Mrs Rat turned around spotted where the cache was hiding.
A quick stamp and return. Tftc

A small menagerie of the puzzled puzzler animals had planned to visit the top end of the Yorke Peninsular to seek more smileys on their individual maps. Unfortunately the Starfish had injured his back the day before which left just the Adder and the Rat to fulfill the quest.
Blood drawn by the Rat, searching a possible hiding hole she plunged her hand in and an "ouch" was heard.
After treatment the actual hiding place was found and the log signed and returned.

A couple of days of geocaching with Aussie M & M. As normal we laughed, we tried hard not to hurt ourselves and only replaced or repaired about 6 geocaches. Apologies for the generic logs but it was a big couple of days.

Out caching for the day with Mark and mogni. We were aiming to cache our way to Kadina, which only took about 6 hours when it is only a 2 hour drive. There may have been a few detours for caches we just had to do. This one was one of those.
Thanks to Tk2

There was no problem finding this cache as the tell tale camo was quite quickly spotted. Log was duly signed, all was put back into place and we were soon on our way. Our thanks go to Tk2 for an easy find with some interesting history nearby.
The last time I was here about 18 months ago I had to log a DNF, but today I found the cache in the first place I looked. Not sure whether it has been replaced as I am sure I looked there previously. [?]

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.
Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.
We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.
My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.
A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

Your luck has to be in sometimes. You read the logs that say "easy find" when you yourself have spent ages looking and come up empty. Today we were the ones to say "easy find" in the logical place.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

This is the 1st of 3 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 8:46:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache, so a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

Out with LLL51 on a beautiful day for caching. No luck here today after spending quite a bit of time looking. Maybe the previous finder hid the cache really well. [?]
Thanks anyway Tk2.
Thanks anyway Tk2.
I'd been to this cache before but muggles drove me away. Today, I was returning from watching half of The Birches play footy at Bute. I parked at the sign and had a look around. No luck. I tried looking elsewhere. As I was searching I could hear the voices of children. They came out of the house nearby and were talking about some weirdo looking at the sign. Quickly I spied something a little out of place but not really hidden. I retrieved, logged and quickly hid it in a likely place rather than out in the middle of nowhere. As I returned to the geomobile a farmer from across the way drove up. I told him I was seeing if there were any of my ancestors written on the sign (forgive me God, for I have sinned). He proceeded to tell me his whole family story and about his connection with the house/school. It would have been interesting had he turned off his car engine. Instead, I was forced to nod and say, "Oh yeah" at convenient times to suggest I was listening. I was interested, but my bladder wasn't. Eventually he let me go and I returned home. Thanks Tk2.

Day four with Alansee and Micaparamedic we were now based in Wallaroo for another three days of caching fun
Even with this many eyes this one took us a little longer than expected to locate but once our initials were added to the log we headed off and enjoyed reading the information here.
To save room in the logs we signed as M.A.C.( Micaparamedic Alansee and Team Crackers).
Thanks for the cache
On a caching assault of the Yorke Peninsular with alansee and Team Crackers over the last six days. We have found many caches which have proven enjoyable and sometimes challenging Alansee had worked diligently in planning routes we would take to minimize wasted kilometres driven to find the numbers we have been able to do. Most logs have been signed as MAC (micaparamedic, alansee and crackers)
Many thanks Tk2 for placing this cache .

Today we are heading to the copper triangle to do some caches with earthlight and the x trailers, we managed around 120 caches over the 2 days we spent here and we saw some fantastic scenery along the way, being the geowifes early childhood stomping grounds i was treated to a lot of history about quite a few of the areas and how much things have changed over time, this is day 1 and as we head out in the x trailers geomobile we start crossing of a few that are on the to do list, this one was a nice quick find after reading the clue. Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today was moving day, we are still travelling with iluvtrekking after major repairs at Toytota Maitland.
We moved the caravans to Bute today and then headed out around Kadina Geocaching and doing some shopping at Woolworths, BWS, and the local Butchers.
We found some great caches and some superb caches. All in all a great day. Wonder what tomorrow holds.

Stopped to find this one on our way home from Wallaroo. Interesting to read about the old school. Thanks for bringing us here.
Spent 4 days on Yorke Penisnula in attempt to try and clear the map again and once again I failed, looks like another trip is needed.
Most of the time I travelled alone but caught up with locus cacher, CPWanderer, Laughside Legend and Dr Owl on the Saturday.
Clocked up around 1000 kilometres and did some amazing walks with spectactular views. Thanks to all the cache hiders.

Visiting Moonta for the festivities and picked up a few caches in the surrounding area while we were here.
South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were off to the Yorke Peninsula, the original destination for this trip. We spent the whole day driving only as far as Kadina, but we went via Clare and plenty of rail trail caches. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.
