Thanks for the excuse to stop and stretch the legs, a quick find as I head to Broken Hill.
Working with geo-dad Cliff5009 to grab a few caches. My squiggle is now in the log. Thanks to CO for placing it here.
Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay then White Cliffs for the night it was time to do a very big 9hr 800km detour to get me back on track as all of the roads north of White Cliffs are closed due to all of the recent rain.Im heading to Cunnamulla so to be able to head west again. For all of the trips I have done up this way this will be the first time I have travelled on this section of the Barrier Hwy.Not much traffic at this time of the morning so it is nice and easy to pull over to look for these ones.It is also great to pull over to break up the drive and to also find a cache.Surprisingly this rest stop was empty, I must be in between departure and arrival times. Thanks farmer-brown TFTC.
Been working around Canungra for a couple of months and on the road back home to Manda in Adelaide. Wa raining too much to hop out when I went past a while back so stopped here for a quick cache grab on the way past. Hint took me straight to it. TFTC
Wow what a great cache farmer--brown, and such fun to find. Buddy the geodog helped us with this one. Found on May 24, 2024. # 9215

An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundIt is very warm weather, but we are having fun finding different caches. A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our 4th full day of caching. We are using the Acronym 5 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. Love the wide open spaces. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 24th February 2024. TFTC, farmer--brown.
Heading to SA for the Mega event with geo friends and zigzagging our way around the countryside to grab a few LGA's and some targeted caches for a challenge or two. Staying at some lovely country towns and enjoying the local history in each place we ventured. To save space on log sheets, we used our team name of 5 for QLD.Most caches found were in good condition and a credit to the owners who have been maintaining them.Thank you for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment.
TFTC farmer--brown your cache Meadow Glen that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. We left Nyngan this morning with a plan to stop at Cobar. But as often happens plans change and we continued towards Wilcannia stopping along the way until we reached McCullochs Rest for an overnight stop. All caches found relatively easily and good places to pull over with Motorhome and car in tow. Great to be able to stretch the legs every so often.Find Count: 17264 .
On the way to Broken Hill from Sydney. Picking up a few road side caches along the way to break up the drive.TFTC
I was now on the homeward leg of my adventure, stopping to find a cache here and there along the way. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. With everything returned as found, I headed on my way. TFTC

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Quick find while travelling from Cobar to Wilcannia. Cold out today (around 8C at 11.00am) and the walk away from the rest area was a good warm up and wake up. TFTC

I must admit to being a bit confused by the description of parking the car and getting to the cash. Did not realise the cash was about 200 m away from where I could park the car. That said, once there it was an easy fine. For me and the goats. TFTC
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to farmer--brown for the generation of this nice cache Meadow Glen (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
The next leg of our travels: Cobar to Broken Hill. Of course we used geocaches to stop for a stretch of the ol' legs.

Ocw the Bebes as we travel the country. On our way from Emmdale Roadhouse to Cobar today and picked this one up on route.
Stopped at the close by rest stop and walked the 200 or so meters back to GZ. Cache found on the floor in the open so placed in a likely spot that is easily accessible and visible. Tftc

Today we are travelling from Wilcannia after staying at the caravan park for hot showers, flushing toilets and to top up the water tanks. Its the first time we have had a chance to find some caches so we enjoyed this stretch of road. . What a lovely spot, clocks, grass, goats and a cache.
Thanks for contributing to the fun farmer--brown

On a roadtrip from Brisbane to Adelaide planned before covid and paused until now. All is good here with this cache! I love these little shrubs along the road side too! Very pretty and so many goats
We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. After spending the night in Hillston, day 2 took us out to far reaches of NSW, stopping to grab a few smileys along the way to break up the straight roads. A lot of wildlife came across our path some literally, plenty of emu, birds, and sheep with lambs to keep us amused. Our apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.
We have hit the road on our trip across this Great Continent,
meandering over to Townsville for the CacheQLD Mega.
Travelling across the Nullabor, seeing the sights, the amazing colours, the natural beauty.
The geocaches are a great bonus of our travels as we head towards Townsville
Thank you for this find here

Found easily even though there is nowhere to park safely. Not sure why these caches are on the opposite side of the road as they don’t give us the opportunity of checking out the facilities.

West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 3. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Today we left Cobar having found all the local caches yesterday. It was a long straight drive to Broken Hill with a few caches scattered along the way, plus a dual multi in Wilcannia along with a short sharp outback rainshower. We ended the day with an evening tour of Earthcaches around Broken Hill.
Along the road to Broken hill we made several road side stops for caches, some at decorated trees.

Cold and foggy this morning, but an early start for us today
Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Cobar for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We hope we can make a few smilies here to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

Time for a little trip in to the outback of New South Wales. A bit of a holiday and if you are on a holiday you cannot drive past a cache without collection some on the way. I had my Geo Chauffer driving me around to collect some cache.

We found the cache, signed the log, replaced it back in its little hiddy hole, then on with our adventure to find the next one. Now we have logged it.
