7.15. Archive or unarchive a geocache
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

25-Feb-19
Maybe we give the owner an opportunity to do some maintenance first....

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.

I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

22-Feb-19
This cache is no longer here we are certain, but that does leave a space for another cache to be placed here when this one is finally archived.

22-Feb-19
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

What a great little hidden spot. One of the things we love about caching is the places it takes us that we would never would otherwise have visited.
Mrs Ski saw this one as she walked to GZ but needed Mr Ski’s help to retrieve and return it.
In great condition considering how close it is to the water. Obviously well protected.

Having stayed in Port Wakefield overnight to got a good head start on the traffic heading to Edithburgh for the JLWE, mogni and I set off early. The only thing standing in our way were several unfound caches. Surprised What would YOU do? We stopped and grabbed a few (well more than 40) smilies and about 4 DNF's Cool
The tide wasn't all that high when we came but you could certainly see it had been. GZ was 2 feet deep in seaweed. Surprised But the cache was safe and secure in it's hide. Even i had to make like a money to grab it. Smile
Thanks finnstar99. Big Grin

Out for a drive with brisal5 on our way to Edithburg for the June Long weekend. We didn't take the direct route but the scenery was much better the way we went. I am venturing into new territory. I will need to come back and really explore.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!

Came over to YP to try and get one particular cache which as it turns out we didn't get.

Not to worry it will still be for next time. We found a few others to make up for it.

Have tried for this one before but the tide was in. Today it was out so I made a quick find in the first place I looked.

After doing the Fishy Tale caches the week before and had such a great time on the peninsula, we see there are many caches scattered all over the place so we decided to spend a couple of days here cleaning up all the caches here, many roads were travelled with some awesome views along the coastline, the weather was just right for us and along the way we saw quite a few sleepy lizards but no snakes, we look forward to getting the other caches on the peninsula as it is such a beautiful spot here. 30-Sep-14
A quick find and not a fisherman in sight today.
Then we wandered off to check out the camp area. Amusing that you pay extra for the view. $20 a site or $25 for one with a beach frontage.
As it's only 11.30 we will keep this one in mind for the future.
Thanks for the smiley.

Mr Parrot was getting into the last week of his holidays and decided to head out to Yorkes for a couple of days.

I had a great time zig zagging across the gulf looking for caches over 5 days.

This is one of the cache I found along the way.

Loved the cache even if the tide was high.

A great tourist cache that could have been evil but instead you can leave having had fun finding the cache.

Spent 4 days on Yorke Penisnula in attempt to try and clear the map again and once again I failed, looks like another trip is needed. Smile

Most of the time I travelled alone but caught up with locus cacher, CPWanderer, Laughside Legend and Dr Owl on the Saturday.

Clocked up around 1000 kilometres and did some amazing walks with spectactular views. Thanks to all the cache hiders.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.

Today we were traveling on the Yorke Peninsula, the original destination for this trip for the fifth and final full da that took us back north and west. Plenty of history to be seen here. We went via as many of the towns as possible along the way. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.

Thanks.

Cache #9000#.....

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.

Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

Found on a day of caching on the York Peninsular.

I'm glad it was low tide , cache is opposite end than GZ shown
Worth a favourite point for location
Thanks finnstar99

Well the world didn't end last night and I was not a zombie murderously intent on filling my belly with brains this morning. So we went caching instead. Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. Bruce spotted the hidey hole. I did the retrieval. No muggles in sight. Thanks for the cache guys, we love your work.
